Reviews of Shawnee Sports Complex
Kristi JI love this place! It’s very clean and spacious; they sell good food and normally have shaved ice which kiddo’s love. Bathrooms are decently clean. Sunset is always beautiful. For as busy as it can get, parking isn’t bad. Overall great atmosphere.
Kim BurtonShawnee Sports Complex is a wonderful asset to our community! I attended soccer tournaments in the summer and one as recently as November. The staff anticipated the crowds and made arrangements for overflow parking and restroom availability. We chose to take a break from the cold temperatures amd walked to The Pitch for lunch however, the complex did have a coffee truck available and a couple other food trucks to help feed the large crowds. And lastly very important, the complex is very clean.
Rita RectenwaldI don't visit the sports complex but I do go to The Pitch which is the fantastic restaurant in front of the sporting section. They have great food and overlooks the swimming pool. Enter from the front of the building where the parking and picnic area is and nice walking grounds for pets.
Chris DerzakLots of parking. Don't be a lemming. There are several entrances into the facility after parking. Plenty of overflow parking too. Scout out the field map in advance of your visit.
Beth NossAn amazing complex with very kind and helpful staff. Love the turf fields and the goals for soccer as they are so easy to move and weight down. They have multiple grass fields and then baseball and softball fields as well. They have the new drop nets down the center walkway of the turf soccer/football fields to help keep the balls on the field. They have actual bathrooms in three locations and when doing large events bring in port-a-johns. They have a new amazing pavilion to help get out of the sun. Lots of parking with multiple gates into the complex once parked. They have concessions with a variety of items you can buy. The Pitch is close by if you want to go purchase a meal.
This complex is a hidden gem in the City of Dunbar!!
Dave LarabaWe have been part of several soccer events at Shawnee over the last few years. It is a fantastic facility with great, friendly staff !!! As an event organizer it’s a great venue to have for local, state, regional or national events.
Ample parking good central concessions and very easy to get to.
Shawnee Sports Complex has just completed 16 days of hosting the US Youth Soccer East Region Presidents Cup and National Championship Series, hosting over 260 teams from Maine to WV in partnership with Barboursville Soccer Complex and WV Soccer Association. We look forward to continuing our partnership with SSC going forward!!!
It’s a great place for other sports and events also!!!
Will The Thrill6 nice turf soccer fields. Good bleacher seating for turf fields. Good views from seats. Nice baseball fields. A few grass soccer fields which were below average. Overall very nice facility. Would highly recommend.
