Amazing time, super helpful coaches/staff who guide you through the technique and give you pointers the entire hour. Got to use long and short handled axes - different, but fun experiences. They also have a small bar with can options. Definitely recommended for a great time.

Axe 🪓 throwing is fun 🤩 and when u couple that with drinks 🍺, it makes for a fantastic time out with friends. This venue requires reservations and it’s not bad for the fun u get. The service is great. For all beginners, u will be taught by the host how to hold and throw the axe 🪓. Beers are mostly sold in cans and makes for for easy handling during the fun times. It’s fun and time well spent. Check it out!

My hubby and I stopped here for a little indoor fun after a long day in the sun. Neither of us had done axe throwing before… it did not disappoint!! Bryce and Sadie were super friendly and gave us pointers that made us feel like pros by then time we were done. Would definitely bring more friends next time for some friendly competition!

Awesome staff. We got a bad piece of wood though which was split before we started. It mad it really hard to throw axes on. The staff was pretty cool about it though and let us throw on another lane a bit longer after our hour ended to make up for it.

Really fun spot in Burlington’s Old North End. I booked the space for two hours for a corporate team building event. It could not have gone more smoothly. I felt completely taken care of, and they had an answer for every question I could think of. We brought in our own catering, and the staff went above and beyond by taking care of cleanup. Our axe throwing coach was authoritative and knowledgeable and kept everyone safe and in control, which is exactly what you want when you're trying a new/potentially dangerous sport. Five stars, chef's kiss.

My friends and I went to BurlyAxe the first time last night, our coach (whose name I am blanking on) was incredible! I assumed we would be instructed and then left on our own, but they were there helping us get better. Each one of us actually learned about axe throwing and scoring, and we all were coached to improve in our form. This was such a welcome addition to axe throwing- it's not just axe throwing, its also coaching! I was honestly a little scared at first- kept stepping back after throwing the axe, but our coach recognized this, mentioned that confidence/safety is the first thing to get over, and by the end of the hour I was throwing bull's eyes. My only suggestion is that there could be a fun video that teaches you the rules of axe throwing, then people can sit in a room and watch that without the staff having to repeat themselves each time! I also preferred the axe with tape wrapped around the handle- it felt more comfortable. Overall, INCREDIBLE staff, wonderful location, and a really fun experience

Me and my girlfriend went here on Sunday at like 930 we got a seat right away ordered apps and drinks and got them in 5 min then our meals came in under 10 min our server ally was great and the food was so good some of the best we have had. We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu

We had a great time! Great instruction, unique experience, and friendly staff. I will say that the hour session is more like 45 minutes: They have to clear the people before you, give instructions, and then interrupt from time to time for updated instructions. With that in mind, the fee may seem a bit overpriced to some. The recent update of a "bar" (a few beer/cider/mead options) does help create a nice hangout vibe. All combined we enjoyed ourselves and got some bullseyes.

What better way to spend (part of) a rainy Sunday than throwing steel and splintering boards in the company of friends? Mike is a very genial host, showing us the ropes and giving us helpful pointers to improve our form. He offered plenty of encouragement for our crew of novices, and made sure everybody played safely. There are few sounds as satisfying as the dull *THUNK* of the axe as it sinks into the target, matched by the feeling of accomplishment you get when you hit a bullseye. It's good, clean, safe (though still thrilling) fun. I can't wait to go again.

What a fun afternoon! The staff was great, and after a few minutes of instruction, we were ready to throw. They gave helpful pointers where needed, but didn't hover, which we appreciated. Great facility too! Our group of 4 had a blast!

Love getting to throw an axe for a whole hour. Boyfriend and I went and we each got out own lane. Staff member gives a tutorial at the start and then has staff walking around giving tips and more if you ask for it through out your time. Never hurts that they serve beer and munchies too. That was a bonus surprise. Super fun for a date night or small work event.

We went here for my brother-in-law’s birthday. None of us had ever done anything like this before, but everyone was raving about how much fun they had! We had such a great time! Our coach was super knowledgeable and he could correct whatever it was you were doing wrong in a snap to get you back to hitting your targets! The little axes were my favorite! I wish we lived in Vermont so I could be a frequent visitor.. I liked this place way better than any gun range. Helps you get the rage out … in a safe way lol I would definitely go back!

This was the best quarantine activity. We were able to throw as a household group, everyone was mask friendly. Our hosts, Bryce & Seeko were amazing. We came for an hour, stayed for three. Everyone was friendly and inviting. I can’t speak highly enough of our experience! Show up with an open mind and a willingness to have fun and you’ll have a great time!

The employees really make this place! They are super fun and energetic but also great coaches. Definitely would recommend, I thought it might be super strict and everyone would be breathing over your shoulder, but that’s not at all how it is. Would recommend for the great staff alone, plus the axe throwing is really fun.

We visiting Burly Axe for an hour of throwing and had a really good time. Check in was quick and it was nice to be able to sign waivers before-hand. Bryce was our coach-- he was good at explaining the technique and providing encouragement. I am not a physically coordinated person, but even I was able to hit the target pretty consistently after the first 15 minutes with Bryce's help. I'd definitely recommend this as a fun small group activity and hope to go back soon. Thanks Burly Axe!

Such a great place for a weekend activity! Awesome coaches who are super safe, funny and attentive. We went in not knowing the first thing about axe throwing and left hitting bullseyes like champs! New race simulator looks sick, can’t wait to go back to try that out!

Yooooooo It is SUPER fun! I was doubtful when my friend said its fun but I really enjoyed it. Small number of groups like smaller than 12 would be nice so you don't have to wait for throwing too long.

A fun new group activity brought to Burlington. Grab a group of friends or have a fun date night and get out some anger as well. This activity is like bowling but more dangerous, not really. The space is branded well and the staff is fun and knowledgable. With the addition of beer being sold in the future this will add a fun new spot to pregame the night. Make sure to wear closed toed shoes and flannel. Have fun! #throwlocal
