Lovely place for some family time! Seems renovated a bit but it really could be better. At least everything is safe and looks clean. Bowling is amazing, skating is also available, but music is really terrible so you better have you headphones with you. Suitable even for junior kids.

Loved it for my 10 yr old birthday celebration. Wasn't too crowded and security was definitely on top of things. Just didn't like they closed the food court before 9p. We were so thirsty. But overall experience was great.

Besides being in a terrible crime ridden area, this was fun. I took my 6yr old with me. We had fun learning how to skate. The staff at the rink was very unprofessional and rude. We ended up leaving after a while and went downstairs to bowling area. Had a blast. My daughter beat me 61-78. Great place for some family fun!!!

Could have been a he'll of alot better. This was a Friday and the Web site says open at 4 and we started to go @ 4 but instead decided to go @ 6. We got there @ 6:00pm to find out they opened @ 7 so now we had to sit in the car and wait. Glad we didn't go @ 4. Me and the family, 9 of us including kids got hungry around 8:30 to find out there was no food or drinks available, so now we decided to leave @ 9 so we could funds something to eat. But other than that, the entry price is good as well as the price for skating and I enjoyed the music

Had a great time skating with my grands. When the artistic skating teens got to be a little aggressive in their skating the mgr stopped the music and got everyone quickly inline with a quick announcement to WATCH THE KIDS and slow down! I really appreciated that. I'll be back!

Wow!! I wish I would have known about this sooner. This place is beautiful inside and staff are very friendly. My group played a couple of games of bowling and went skating. Everything is extremely fairly priced and efficiently run. Beware: adult skate night is NEXT LEVEL. There are some amazing skaters and it is pretty fast paced. I actually like skating and grew up skating for fun but had to stay in the beginner section. I heard that they offer lessons on Saturday mornings and it seems like if you kept at it you could become a very good skater at Shake and Bake. What an awesome place!

First, the upside. (I've only skated here twice.) On both occasions I found the floor to be well maintained --no bubble gum, gravel or other gunk-- nor did I smell the toilets when I entered (always a plus). The music was decent too --I heard no filthy lyrics, though I always take my own. So over all a nice rink. Only one problem-- the doors don't open as scheduled. On Sunday, August 2, 2015 -- a very warm day-- I arrived on the front doorstep to find all the doors locked and a small note taped to the door saying not open & "sorry for the inconvenience". Sorry for the inconvenience? This is not how you run an establishment of this type. If you want to be patronized & make money, someone has to open shop-- no matter what! On a previous occasion the doors weren't opened until sometime after 3pm-- even though the schedule lists a 3:00 pm session. Now I know why there's such a sparse turn out on Sunday afternoons. Next time, I'll be sure to call before taking a bus and a metro to get there.

I love going to Shake n Bake. Every Thursday night is Adult night and it's a great time to come out, relax and have fun. It's truly a family atmosphere, where you can come to learn how to skate, to just skate, and to meet friendly people. I prefer this location over other roller skating locations!

I used to skate and hang out here when I was a teen in school and had the best of times. I go here every now an then on Thursdays, 30 and over night, and I always have a great time. Very pleasant owner and people. Music can be a hot or miss but for the most part its cool. My one complaint is the teens/young adults that hang out front.

It was cool as long as the kids enjoyed I enjoyed but they really need skate mate for older children that can't skate my 6 and 7 year old feet were too big for toddler skates and they where just falling everywhere. I believe they should offer a skate mate for kids. Please help encourage all kids of all ages should be able to go and have fun knowing that the places we allow our younger kids to go will help them for example when we go bowling the alleys have gutter stoppers to help younger children as well as ball guider so for roller skating they should have the skate help mate or I could just bring my own I guess I'll inquire the next time and write another review

It was pleasant.. however the snack bar should hold more.. it was very few people there abd didn't have enough pizza for the few guess... wondering if they would allow another venue to come in and prepare serve .and work snack bar.. i would gladly accept the offer

My family and I met up here tonight to reminisce before one of my sisters leave to relocate out of state, in the morning. Wish I could give it 5 stars because we had a good time but the 6-8 drug dealers (I know for a fact they were drug dealers because they were openly discussing it as we walked in) hanging out in the lobby to stay warm and avoid the police, stops me from giving a top-notch review. Had I not driven up an hour and a half from Waldorf, we would've walked right back out. Now, nothing happened with those young men hanging out in the lobby but loitering shouldn't be allowed in any establishment. Especially with the majority of your customers being children. NEVER AGAIN!!!

This place was one of the highlights of my childhood. While I was still in elementary/middle school, we would go there once a year if possible and have a grand old time. The only issues I have are the sizes of the roller skates and price of food. The last time we went was probably back in 2013, when I was freshly an 8th Grader. By then, my feet had grown quite large. The skates were tight, which I guess was good, but killed my feet afterwards. The food there is ridiculously expensive. Overall, I would probably visit this spot again if my alumni and I would like to rehash old times.

Amazing experience in the bowling alley, but I was also there for a 40th bday party in their semi private room. I am definitely going back cause the dj was on point and the space was clean and spacious. They offer pretty good deals too!

Adult night thurs( music is a little dry) I like ( upbeat fast paced) no llove making music all night, but that's personal preference. Overall crowd is grown & friendly. So I would say it's better than staying home doing the same thing you did last Thursday. Every day is a new day so try something new.

Most dangerous street in Baltimore but the inside is huge. They have a bowling alley downstairs with a game room and cafe. Upstairs is the skating rink. They even have a boxing facility higher up the street. No problems inside the building everything seemed safe and my kids had a good time at their friend’s birthday party. They have a parking lot in the back of the building but depending on time of day there are a host of people lined up like a drug clinic is in the back across from the parking lot. No street parking but I parked on the empty lot on Penn Ave facing the building so I don’t have to subject my kids to the drug line across in their parking lot.

Considering I skated here as a kid and now my kids skate here. The staff is super friendly, nothing's perfect and you can't please everyone who want something "free". My family and I enjoy ourselves when ever we go!

Great experience except that it was too loud. I couldn't hear my friends talk. And WAY too loud for the small children that were there! If you go, bring some earplugs and have fun!

Excellent family oriented facility. Anthony Williams really shows and expresses his love for the community not 1 particular group but ALL no matter what the lifestyle. I have seen him personally talk to the some of toughest individuals and have them change their minds from a (-) to a (+).....That's Community Love....

Adult night on Thursday night is great! 25 & older. Great music & people! And they also have skate lessons on Saturday mornings for all ages that includes adults too.

I recently started skating again and visited Shake and Bake,the atmoshpere was very welcoming the and the skaters were friendly. I have skated places where if you were not a experienced skater you felt a little left out. I felt welcomed,and invite you to come try it too!! I was pleasantly surprised when I went inside of the restroom it had soap, paper towels and smelled good and most importantly IT WAS CLEAN.

I have been going to shake and bake all my life..One thing i do not understand is Thursday nights suppose to be 30 and over ..I try to enjoy myself on Thrusday nights but its to many young people in there..skating in a dangerous manner..and the Dj plays all young people music...His age music...showing ID's should be enforced..Its making me not wanting to continue to attend " The Bake"..its becoming unsafe
