Reviews of Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark
Really nice in town park that was created only a few years ago. There are nice residents nearby if anybody wants to live in apartments in the city. Lots of skateboarders come from everywhere. So very diverse crowd here. Also a great place for families to come to have picnics and if you want to hang out with some friends and lay out picnic blanket with goodies. Great place for walking with dogs. Easy access to loss of shopping and restaurants and coffee shops.
Large venue for MimosaFest. If you're into skating (board, roller, even biking), then this is an appropriate destination. Park is clean. Not much to it outside as skating structure.
I just can't keep my eyes off Kirsnick (Takeoff)'s Mural. It is so beautiful that I visit this park twice. Even though it's Winter season, but when it comes to Spring & Summer? I'll be back for sure. Overall, I become a fan of this Skatepark.
My son used to skate. I stopped out here once to eat a sandwich. It was peaceful. The restrooms were stinky but I had a bit of stink on myself.
Love this skatepark, smooth concrete humps made it perfect for beginners and those on scooters. Plus the quick walk to Ponce City Market is a perfect lunch destination. Bring a lock so you can park your wheels and enjoy the food Hall. There are Bird/lime scooters everywhere if you choose.
Pretty cool cement park.with diffrent level of experience .it's free and it's cool when you can catch the og's thrashing the big bowl.
Awesome Skate park, great lawn to spend some wonderful time with your family. Parking right out in the street. Finish line for Athens 2 Atlanta Road Skate
Great park! My Family loves to picnic, ride scooters and skateboard of course.
There are so many cool things we see when we’re at the park like free concerts people doing acrobatics, yoga, riding electric skate boards and bikes. My kids play soccer and football with other kids and adults in the park.
One of the best parks in Atlanta!
Great flow at the park even when a bit crowded - good ATLANTA vibe - better skaters helping and teaching the novices.
Right along the beltway; big open spaces for kids, dogs and more; parking can a bit difficult as it’s on the street; nice playground for the kiddos!
Really nice skate park. Only thing I didn't like was some teenagers were riding electric scooters a bit reckless in the park for a short period of time. No bathroom.
This place is a great place in the city to let loose and get on a board, whether your new or old to the sport. Plus the festivals they hold here are a great way to build community along the beltline. Hopefully I can make it to free yoga sometime soon!
It's a great place to see girfetti watch out for bikes and skateboards great place to Walk with great views
Godspeedtransport.com is a auto shipping site for you and yours! I am Godspeed! This skatepark at old 4th ward was very nice! Many great skaters of all ages! It was a good time!
Cool spot to ride bike and kick a hacky sack
Excellent skate park and a great place to practice shooting, everyone I asked didn't mind me getting shots. Really cool atmosphere!! -Lucas Images
Nice vibe
Junk Jam best in town
Jogging, walking, picnics, skating, ball playing. Water playing.
There is no want for anything here. A great urban park. On par with Piedmont, if not better. Check it out!
Decent skate park. Pretty small for being the main park in Atlanta, to be honest. There are not a lot of small features for beginners, it is mostly medium and large stuff. There is not a flat bar surprisingly , and there is no small quarterpipe or mini ramp. The banks are good, vert wall is cool, and there is a curb for doing slappies. There are often random people who don’t come to skate that stand around and get in the way, lol, which is not ideal with how small the park is. The deepest bowl barely gets any use and is basically wasted space.
I’m always stopping through here when I want to go to the Beltline! I like how there are all ages of people here and it seems like the older skaters are respectful to the kids. It’s a nice vibe all around.
This skate park is a skate's dream. It's very spacious, has a great playground, and amazing ramps.
Another great outdoor area in the ATL. Bike, skate, walk here via the beltline. Hangout, people watch, throw disc in the park or skate the course. Lots of dogs, too.
This is more than a skatepark. It does have fun for skaters. You and your friend, or pets can enjoy the grassy area and sun. Your kids can enjoy the playground. It's clean and has a restroom facility.
Always and Forever will Love This Park I came to this park everytime I’m downtown Atlanta Love the Graffiti , watching people skate ride bikes or play in the grass picnics it’s Deff FOR THE CULTURE 100% recommend
Love this place .the bowls are sick .largest skate bowl I've ever seen
Pretty nice. Apparently Tony Hawk assisted in its design. Pretty fun place, always lively. It's right on the beltline, and in walking distance of Ponce City Market, Piedmont Park, and many other awesome locations. I did end up breaking my elbow here, but that was my fault.
Great park. Love to go there and is a great place for other activities besides skating too. There aren’t very many people most of the time and has three bowls two quarter pipes. Overall I would recommend.
Dropped into a bowl on my mountain bike. Not recommended but it definitely got my adrenaline pumping.
The people who hang here are interesting and generally friendly. They will share their smokables if you have good conversation and ask nicely.
Gets a little sketch after dark due to being somewhat remote (no direct access to major roads) and poor lighting. Probably don’t go alone at night.
We visit this park weekly because my daughter likes to skate. I never leave her alone. I normally skate or sit in the car. I see a lot of kids getting high in the park so I stick close but it a pretty cool place to skate and the park itself is beautiful
Great park, great view, decent amount of space and right off beltline.
Multi purpose facility for fun
This place is one of the coolest places along the Eastside trail in my opinion. There's always something going on like yoga or people chilling on the field area. I usually sit near the skate park and watch the local skaters do their thing. It's a nice atmosphere with people of all skill levels doing anything.
What a fun place! This whole path has really great outdoor art and the skate park area is no exception. You can watch skaters under the pavilion or sit on the lawn and read a book or have a picnic. It's just a fun place to be.
It's an awesome thing the city has made a park for skaters to go practice and hang with people like them. Everyone is polite and friendly and just there to skate and have fun. Skate or die dude
We were really impressed with the skate park. We didn't realize there was a large grass park in front of the skateboard area. There was a concert taking place, which provided a fun and exciting atmosphere after watching the Lantern Parade. The skateboard park was pretty active, especially for 10:30 at night. I wish I had learned to skateboard as a kid. Can you imagine if the skateboard park was even bigger? Awesome place to hangout.
Very cool spaced tucked back in the neighborhood. Large, spacious grass park. The skate park had one "kidney bean" well, two "dome" wells, a series of grind rails, amorphous obstacles, and a series of levels of pipes. There were age ranges there from 6-45, and people on skateboards, scooters, and trick bikes. Dogs are allowed as well, and parking was free.
Cool place. Makes me wish I was a skater. LOL! It's nice place that I like to stop off on the beltline. Watching the kids for a while is fun before I continue my walk
Nice park. Super busy already! Wish parking was better and bathrooms were cleaner
Awesome skate park. I coach soccer here on the weekends and I love coming down here. It's a pretty popular place, even on a Sunday morning there's people there hanging out. There's a HUGE field for games, sports, concerts, etc.
My daughter likes to go skateboarding here. As long as you can deal with different types of people & the smell of mary jane - this is a unique park to come to. Around the corner is King of Pops - we always end there, getting a refreshing popsicle before driving home.
My friend dislocated his knee here doing some skate tricks. 10/10
Great atmosphere and vibes. I've never seen this many black people at a skate park. It was a beautifully diverse and inclusive experience that should be applauded and replicated nation wide.
My kids love this place. They are all pretty young and for the most part the older skaters that are more capable seem fairly supportive. There is the occasional foul mouthed rude person but far less than I expected.
Oh to be 15 and have bones that will mend quickly when broken. This is the place. Looks like the best California swimming pool sk8 bowls all here in Atlanta. If you skate a board, roller blades, or just want to put toddlers in place you don't have to chase them (I swear to God I saw a baby sitter do this) then this is your place. Try it all the cool kids are doing it.
Awesomr place to skate or watch skaters. There are some really good ones out there. It splits off of the belt line which is a bigger and runner friendly trail. The trail also is currently set up with arts and crafts by the local community. Oh and you have to try the mini/solo merry go round in the kids area next to the skater park.
This place is on the beltline and everyday seems active with skaters of all ages and unlike many other skating parks is not in a bad area of town. It's sitting on the edge of a very nice park where East Atlantans go out for picnics or to play with their dog on nice days.
The nearby Belt line, skate park and the field is in great condition.
Grab your boards, bikes, or roller skates and go to this park. It's nice and the people are nice, you're sure to make some friends and have some fun rides.
Best Skate park in the City
I skate at the fourth ward Man so many memories
The park is awesome... If you're into bowls. The little Street section is crammed together and no straight path to the stairs/hand rails. Again, them bowls and pool are serious tho.
This is such a wonderful addition to the life of the city. Everyone from seasoned skaters to children just learning to ride is welcome. It can get busy on th ed weekends.
Nice open space surrounded by jogging track, next to Atlanta belt line. Adjacent dog park is convenient for dogs to play.
If you're trying to workout on the field or just hangout it's a great spot to go to. Everyone around the area is nice and you can go and walk around unbothered
We checked this place out during the paper lantern festival. This place was so cool and had lots of people watching the skaters from the sidelines (including me). Very nice facility with lots of jumps, ramps and pools.
I wish they had a quarter pipe. This park is a little advanced park for someone like me who is just starting out. It’s well taken care of by the city though, with very little junk at the bottom of the bowls.
Great spot with open field, empty pools and other skate ramps and things. Also loved the graffiti bridge with the Belt Line.
Great park, wish we had them like this when I was younger. Soaking of... Great social environment with respectful group of kids while we were there.
It’s too crowded most of the time. Highly recommend mornings if you can swing it. This is not a learning park.
Clean park! Lots of open space. Right behind the skate ramps (i think thats what you call them) is a big open space where you can run, play frisbee. There's even free yoga on Tuesdays. Bring your own mat!
Interesting place but really cool if you are looking to skateboard. Almost always see a police officer in the area which makes me feel safe.
Great part of the beltline to skate, shop, eat, and explore. 5min ride to ponce city market. They have skateboard, bike, and scooter valet while you shop!!
Awesome spot! Even if you're just there to watch some really cool practices. Also great to know there are public restrooms there!!
Great place to be a spectator. Playground leaves a little to be desired, but large open field is always host to events. Nice shaded sitting area.
THE place for skaters on a Saturday in Atlanta, and there are plenty of riders on scooters and bikes honing their craft here too. Designed by Tony Hawk himself, there's finally a place in the city, right on the BeltLine, where skate culture is embraced and celebrated.
This picturesque skate park, sandwiched in a wonderful neighborhood, is a magnet for boarders of all ages... as well a Beltline spectators. BONUS TIP: This place is magical at night.
SCORE = MUST VISIT
So much room for activities... what's not to love?
Dog owners beware: police ticket for dogs off leash! It happens often and I hate seeing fun dog-owner bonding time ruined.
Great place in Atlanta to skate. There's a bowl, rails, walls, and it's right on the beltline. It's pretty poppin here on the weekends. The skate and BMX scene is on the rise in Atlanta thanks to this skate park. All ages are welcomed
Very clean and well taken care of. BMX users as well, just don't be a jerk. Don't use your pegs, and let skaters have the right of way.
Super nice skate park. 2 pools and tons of space. I was there on a super busy night but I'm sure that normally theres plenty of space.
Kids love it great park with open field for other activities also on the belt line if you would like to continue your skating there.
Love this small open park. Everything is happening besides the skate park, there is yoga in the park, volleyball, etc!
Super cool watching the kids skateboard. This chubby kid tried to go up the half pipe, but he fell off his board. When he was laying on the ground, guys skateboard came down the ramp and hit him in the taint. He screamed like ambulance siren
I think I've just found my new favorite park. Great for family, photos, fun, picnics, dog walking, and yoga!
Great skate park. See both new riders and pros. Excellent condition, lighted, and well used.
definitely a good spot to see better skaters than yourself shred a well designed park. it also has a pretty dope halfpipe.
Great vert and ramp /rail skating however please dont bring children under 10 here there always in skaters way and the little kids basicly ruin the park try going on a weekday
Great place for an after work hang out spot. There are constantly activities to join here right by the skate park as well.
You are allowed to stake out volleyball nets on this field (higher field up next to the beltline, not the lower area of historic fourth ward park next to PCM)
Some love it some hate it. 3 different bowls with different transition. Don't get your hopes up for a full street course because it is small and is about 90% transition.
It was fun great meeting new people and enjoying the atmosphere and to see talented people skateboard and skate and bike ride and scooter rides! 🚴🤾⛹️ …
If you're into skateboarding that's what it's for. very nice park near the beltline I'm not sure if it's a part of the beltline
Drove through Atlanta, and stopped in for the night. This skatepark is awesome, in an interesting part of town, and bright lights at night. Well worth the stop.
CMH heart ATL
Great events but the better the event, the worse the parking situation gets. Blocked roads don't help. Getting there sucks but once there events are great.
4W is a fun place to skate friendly skaters and the lights stay on after dark lights go off at 11 though but overall its fun skatepark to skate.
Nice vibe
Very nice park with lots of folks skating and do other outdoor activities. ..peaceful
Fantastic place for skateboarding. Immediately on the Beltline its a safe place and almost always other skateboarders are there.
Saw a skating competition here. Really nice skate park. Cool to people watch or hangout at.
Nice skate park
Not a skater but it's cool place to hang out and it's beautiful. If i was a skater I'd give it 5 stars.
If you're into skateboarding it's All good
Nice skatepark if you're reading this and thinking about going just go. 🤙 …
Amazing love to go back park was fun the skate park was nice and right next to the BeltLine
Had event today that was involving soccer...the skate park is awesome and walking trail on beltline
Had fun at the lantern parade during the Fall Festival. Area is quite gentrified now, as is almost every close in /downtown area is now
Great feature, they have varying difficulty levels which is great and it's an extension of the Old fourth ward park and Beltline.
A safe environment for skaters to do their thing without having to be harassed by local authorities.
Fun place to go if you are into skating/ skateboarding/ BMX. Also fun to spectate.
Any place built for you to skate and not get hassled is indeed a luxury to have. Love coming here.
Very nice relaxing spot. Would recommend for the family
Nice place to visit very smile from the i thought nice and clean the amazing thing about this place is the graffiti art can you say amazing
only good if you skate tranny no street skating spots there
park is awsome, skaters are friendly for the most part.
Super fun when it's not crowded and lots of talent there when it is crowded
Beautiful in design & perfect for riders of every experience level 💚 …
Very fun location awesome park. Warning ! be active lol:)
Great graffiti and art and a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking it out.
Great area to hang out. I did a photo shoot there and it turned out great.
East access from the beltline. Lots of exciting restaurants close by. Open, dog friendly.
Great skate park with everything I wanted.
Awesome spot right on beltline, great extension and alternative for Piedmont Park.
Wish we weren't just driving by (on a road trip). Only had a few minutes to check it out. Can see us back in the future.
Great place to catch sunset
This is our normal park. My 4 year old loves it!
I would give 5 stars if it wasnt for the dog poop everywhere in the park.
The skate park is great and is flexible for any skill level!!!
Great skate park - gets busy
First time there. Park is very trashed.
Live this place! Watch out for the swarms of kids on the weekends. Use caution this is a very unforgiving park... I've lost a lot of blood here.
Participated in a free yoga class, the weather was great & the vibes were good ✨
Love this area...beltline access, parks, eateries and so much more
Wow how cool!
What an awesome skatepark. Electric Wheelers of Georgia loved it.
It can be a great time watching some of.the skaters.
Fantastic local park. Fun watching the skateboarders!
Fun park but the tourists on motorscooters kind of ruin it.
A really well desiged skate park
Had an awesome time there but it was very hot!!
Packed house on the weekends, skatepark isnt the best design.
Awesome and free, love tbe graffiti under the bridge too
OMG! The Beltline access, the Art, the Park, the Skate Park, the international community. It's EVERYTHING!
Love this park, small, good for families. Right on the Beltline.
A good place to run, jump, and pretty much a grown folks recess.
I wasn’t there for the skating but those who were, appeared to be enjoying themselves.
It's alright but not the worst and it was a good time
Busy but more of these needed to bring the community they should mandate these when a community is built
Well-built and maintained ramps. Lots of skaters use it.
Awesome total date.
A little hard to find but a cool venue for events
One of the best parks in an up-and-coming area of Atlanta
A wonderful place to relax 😌 …
I come here all the time to socialize with with the good people
Great vibes... just come
Great for walking, gathering and family time.
