My son has been taking catching lessons with Darin for almost 6 years. Darin uses tried and true catching drills to strengthen his catchers legs and improve their response times. Our son started playing on 90 foot basepath when he was twelve and quickly began completing successful throw downs from home to second on a regular basis. His pop time is close to 2 seconds and he can read a pitch with 99% accuracy. Because of his training at DM, his coaches trust him to call pitches behind the plate. Our son has his eye on playing D-1 baseball and we feel confident that Darin will help him get there. We can’t thank Diamond Mine enough for giving our son the skills he needs to compete at the next level. We highly recommend DM and Darin for your aspiring catcher.

I recently did the Diamond Mines winter academy camp and thoroughly enjoyed it. The coach's had tons of experience and knowledge of the game. I learned so much during the camp and loved the coach's attitude towards the players. They were constantly giving us helpful feedback and encouragement. They made me feel included when I was slightly nervous at the beginning. The academy was the perfect mix of fun and learning. I also loved the whole faculty itself. There is lots of space to practice and is just a high-quality baseball training facility. I miss the Sundays I got to practice there for the academy and would recommend Diamond Mine to any baseball or softball players.

My now 12 yr old daughter has been going to Diamond Mine for almost 2 year for pitching lessons with Clay. It is a great place with a great atmosphere and wonderful coaches. Everyone is always so nice and and very knowledgeable. Coach Clay is great! He pushes her to be better, not only in pitching but also at being a better teammate. Even though my daughter only works with Clay all the coaches take notice in what she is doing and they always have encouraging words for her. We could not be any more pleased with a training facility.

My son recently completed The Pitching University 101 - The Competitive Pitcher. The improvement that he has made in the last few months is amazing. He has improved his mechanics, arm action, and throwing speed. The facility is clean, well maintained, and has the equipment needed for practice/lessons. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend The Diamond Mine to the parents of any baseball or softball player looking for a place to improve your son or daughter's skills. Our daughter is a 12U softball player who has seen vast improvement in her hitting since working with Coach Darin Chaplain. This is the type of improvement that not only shows in practice, but is showing through in games against excellent competition. In addition to the technical skills he teaches, Coach Chaplain stresses visualizing success and building confidence. Parents are always encouraged to observe hitting lessons, and The Diamond Mine staff does a tremendous job of involving parents in their child's work at home and development as a player. The Diamond Mine also serves as a fantastic team training facility! The coaches, accommodations, and value make The Diamond Mine an excellent choice for youth baseball and softball development!

I have 11 y/o twin girls that have been going to Diamond Mine for pitching lessons since early spring. My husband & I cannot say enough good things about their coach, Clay Thomas. He is knowledgeable, motivational, as well as patient. We are very satisfied with the results we are seeing so far. The facility is nice & the employees are always helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs help with instruction or mechanics. It also has several cages for those who may need reps or indoor practice.

Facility is moving soon. Used by a lot of private teachers. $10 daily membership is a bit expensive for an hour or less, but it's one of the few places to do some indoor baseball practice around here.
