Wedding Coordinator and Styled Rentals at The Pit October 1, 2022. Beautiful spacious venue. The staff, specially Joseph was onsite and very pleasant to work with. Catering prepared delicious food and their Bartenders, wait staff, Dennis & Kasey were all wonderful. Excellent Service, Immaculate Facility.

This arena is awesome definitely has a vibe and look that separates it self from others. Seating is top notch, you basically see the court or event from any spot in the arena. Lots of snack options and alcoholic beverages lots of space and plenty of restrooms available. Parking is located near by there is a parking fee here. $12

I was there for the state basketball tournament to cheer for St. Pius X High School. It is nice that the high school teams get a chance to play in the Pit. There is not a bad seat in the house. Bring a credit or debit card. They do not use cash. The concessions are plentiful but a little expensive.

Went to the Pit to watch my nieces dance competition. $7.00 to park. $10.00 plus $3.00 fee to get in. $36.00 for a pizza. $5.00 for a water. They wouldn't let us take our purses in if they were bigger than 4x6. We had to take our purses out to our cars. The last place you want to put them in Albuquerque. It would've been nice if they mentioned this on the site where we purchased the tickets.

Great atmosphere and experience. Everything from the lines moving fast to the seats being comfortable made it an enjoyable experience. What could have been better? Cheaper concessions and a Lobo win.

We've had men's basketball season tickets for about seven years and have seen The Pit undergo many changes. However, many things are consistent, like concessions are super expensive, parking is frustrating due to payment structure, but the bathrooms are clean and nice. The audio system is terrible and has been for a long time. Sometimes videos are shown and you cannot even understand what's being said. On the up side the staff is always friendly and helpful. There is also a Lobo gear store at the venue. An important note about seating- the rows are inverse of the typical arena, so row 1 is the first row at the top of the venue, the furthest from the court. If your seats are closer to the court, be prepared to go up and down pretty steep stairs.

17000 fans and it's easy to get in, enjoy the game (GO LOBOS!!!), and get out. Legendary venue for college BB; you have to experience to appreciate.

Definitely one of the better sports arenas I've been too. It had good atmosphere, views to the court and just enough TV's and score boards to not draw you away from the court. The concession stands served then usual foods. I shared a super nachos which fed two people. It tasted good. It was easy to get in and out off the building. They have UNM history information along the walls too. Parking is paid for around The Pit, and the areas around the arena. Had a fun time watching basketball.

Visited the Pit to experience the phenomenon of UNM basketball. I was not disappointed! Parking and entry were easy and there are many good concession choices (I especially recommend Laguna Burger). There is not a bad seat in the house and even though UNM did not prevail that game, the enthusiasm of the crowd, particularly the student section, made for a great evening. Definitely will be back!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Lobo game at The Pitt! The Lobos were undefeated and played so well, so smooth. Fans were lively and happy, and the place was packed with over 15,000 people! We all did the wave around and around, and it reminded me of our joy and connection as a community! I definately reccommend taking in a game at the Pitt and supporting our incredible team! Go Lobos!

Considering how much money UNM earns from student tuition (let alone the profit from sports) they could have more comfortable seats BUT you get a pretty good view of the action down on the floor no matter where you're at in the audience. I enjoyed my brother's girlfriend's graduation ceremony! Just wish they didn't allow screaming and air horns as it's not fair to the loved ones of other graduates when trying to listen for their graduates babe as they walk the stage.

I went to the UNM/BSU basketball game last night, and had a wonderful time. The club level is luxurious and very clean, and the seats were very padded and comfy. The “Lobo Bites” promotion is clutch, as I was able to grab nachos, popcorn, a hot dog, and a soda for free with my ticket.

Great game! Go Lady Lobos! The Pit is a great venue. Only problem was the crowd was clustered in one area. We moved to seats where fewer people were so close to us. Not as great a view but felt a bit safer. When the sign says mask required, it seems some people need instructions on how to wear them. Cover your mouth and your nose, folks!

Great venue. Clear Bags only! We came for the PBR. Everything was clean and organized. Make sure to check your seating. Not all are chairs. Majority are bench seating. They have stadium chairs to rent for $6. Not sure on all parking charges for every event but we paid $12 and parked across the street. Not a long walk at all. Parking lot next to The Pit entrance doors were $25.

Awesome arena, it's big with no bad vantage point. Concession stands not always open but a couple were selling snacks and beverages. Tons of parking all the way around the stadium. A gift shop with school memorabilia. Nice place!

We enjoy the men's games because they are loud and energetic. The girls games are often better because they are less crowded And the girls personality has an opportunity to shine through a different way. We like the chair back seats in the pit. We find that the parking is fine and that the police are good at directing traffic there.

The Pit hosted the Ty Murray PBR Invitational for 3 days. The experience was incredible since the arena is designed to allow maximum crowd noise. Not only was it cool to see PBR in Albuquerque, but The Pit made it hard to not get involved as a spectator. The music and crowd were loud, the seats allowed for perfect views, and the athletes loved every minute of the spotlight. The staff is couteous and helpful. The bathrooms and facilities were clean and stocked with paper products. Parking was convenient and easy to find. The Pit is a one of a kind entertainment experience.

There's nothing like watching a UNM basketball game at the Pit! Yes, some things have changed, like having a cashless venue where it's credit/debit cards only. Located on the SW corner of Cesar Chaves and University NE.

What can you say? The pit is, well, the pit. It is clean, easy to navigate, and has a good variety of concessions. I appreciate being able to buy a beer while enjoying the game. Now what they need to do is start offering discounts on those unused and STILL NOT PAID FOR box VIP seats.

Getting in and out of events here is pretty easy. Place is clean and restrooms were clean. I have gone to several different types of events here and left always pleased with the sound and atmosphere. I have never ordered food here because I prefer to eat before or after my events....event food is crazy expensive.

Fun to watch college basketball. Decent venue. Clean and easy parking. Usually $10 cash only parking fee anywhere around the Pit. Gets hot when full, and steps may be challenging for elderly or small children. Fun overall!

While this place (aka The Pit) has great security everywhere, both security guards and law enforcement officers, they unfortunately do not honor our Second Amendment rights. Finding a parking spot can be tough if it's your first time. The parking lot signs are small and impossible to read until you're right on them. Inside the arena is fun. Always love taking the family to watch the LoboS. They have pricey food venues.

Great game. First time in the Pit. Enjoyed just walking around trying to choose what to eat. The downside to my experience was outside. Poor or ill-placed signage, lack of traffic control and a lack of parking. UNM and APS can do better. However, the pedestrian crossing was well placed and operated.

This is a great place to watch a basketball game. The sound system in the remodeled Arena had been terrible until our last visit. So it may depend on where you sit on how you can hear the announcer or the music. But the place is incredible. In the Lobos are so much fun to watch now.

The Pit is a fantastic venue! It's extremely easy to find your seat. The atmosphere is electric for UNM Lobos games!! It is one of the larger and better venues for college sports. I highly recommend attending a game if you're a fan of basketball in Albuquerque. I have been a season ticket holder and attended games since I was 4 years old. The Pit is magical and holds a special place in my life.

AKA the Pit! A mile high and louder than hell!! It's great to catch a Lobo game here and they have lots of other events. There is a ton of parking all around the stadium. It's a little disappointing that they stopped hosting the Gathering of Nations pow wow.

Classic basketball arena, newly renovated a couple of years ago. Very nice facilities and good concessions. We sat in the bench seating and it was OK comfortwise. Probably would go with the chairback seating next time or bring a "stadium" seat if my own. View of the court was great and you feel, and are close to the action.

Others may think they've got the best place to watch a college basketball game, I know we do! And if the home team is killing it, the decibel level of noise from New Mexico fans can downright be deafening. Bring your earplugs if your ears are sensitive. I have been entertained in this building for over 40 years and not just watching basketball either. It's really a great state of the art facility and one of it's kind! Go Lobos!

Tonight's game vs. Nevada was fantastic!! Lobos won by 27 points!! The game was one of the best in my 41 years as a season ticket holder!! Nevada was the #6 team in the country!! No longer!

The Pit is a wonder of Albuquerque. It's like any event in the city though, parking is horrible. The PA system stinks, so if you like to hear the announcers, don't go to the Pit. If you like Frito pie though, best Frito pie I've ever had!

The PIT is a great location for all University sports! At the time of my visit, I received my covid-19 vaccination. In the past as a student and an alumnus of the University of New Mexico, I have frequented this location for High School graduations, college sports for women's and men's basketball, as well high-school, CNM and UNM Collegiate graduations. If you enjoy watching live sports, as well as supporting local Athletics, then you'll enjoy going to the PIT for sports events. Within recent years the PIT has had a facelift. The new look and Facilities have been greatly updated. I am giving the PIT the highest rating possible.

Perfect venue for our celebration of athletes in the Senior Olympics. $6 for a soda is expensive, but I bought it for the souvenir cup. Water was $6 too! It should have been only like $2 for the seniors.

The handicapped area is great.The announcer you cannot understand . The players should have larger numbers on their shirts so we can see who they are. There should be a program with the players names and numbers in it.

The legendary Pit, hands down my favorite arena to watch college basketball! I've been to a lot of basketball arenas in the Southwest, and it's by far the best and loudest.
