I highly recommend this bowling alley. The service was fantastic, the employees were accommodating and friendly, and this place was spotless. I also appreciate the fact that the tv screens weren't playing music videos. The music was a very nice mix and also a perfect level, so I was not screaming to have a conversation with the group. We decided to bowl for 2 hours and the kids played in the arcade for another hour. The management here deserves a pat on the back. Thank you for great service!

Birthday party was a blast! This is a great family friendly venue, well staffed, and timely service! You can easily entertain 6 kids per lane. The bumpers go up and down based on player preference. You just click child or adult during set up for the bumpers. They also offer bowling ball ramps for littles who can’t throw the ball. The lightest ball they offer is 6 lbs (bright orange). The arcade is nice as well. 60 tokens lasted us about 20 minutes. Almost every game gives tickets.

Great place! The cosmo lighting was way more fun! The parking was pretty easy and there were plenty of lanes. The bar was open for specialty drinks and there were some food specials as well. Had a good time and played several rounds. Definitely will be back!

Great fun! Totally remolded since the last timewe had been there. Women's restroom did run out of toilet paper which is never good. They did refill it as quick as they could but that should never happen in my mind.

I haven't been to this alley in years. I could tell from the outside that there had been some Renovations that weren't quite complete, but walking inside was still a surprise! Bright and open, lots of modern touches. But you can still see the iconic bowling alley behind it all. The arcade looks great, they have a very modern and easy to use score system. There our new seats and tables down by the bowling area, very comfortable and classy. The bar looks amazing, as does the pizzeria area. We ordered some baked hot wings, a pizza, and a brownie sundae. They were all great! They have really gone out of their way to make this a place where you can really enjoy yourself. I can't wait to see it when it's completely finished, because I won't wait for years to come back this time :-)

Overall this business is in good shape and looks nice on the inside. They seem to have good deals for open bowling and family events. They have food and bowling packages for a set price. The seating at the lanes is somewhat tight and a few lanes have space taken up with stairs or ramps so there is no seating back against the wall. I thought the food prices were rather high but I ordered anyway and was surprised at the good quality and quantity of food. If it seems high priced to you, order anyway and then decide. I think you'll be impressed.

The remodel of holiday bowl is amazing! We hadn't been since pre-covid, so we were very impressed with the upgrades and additions! We visited during Santa's visit this year for the little one. Nice staff and very helpful. We all enjoyed the food and arcade.

Very nice since it's been remodeled. Full bar with several TVs usually showing sports. Also a game area where kids can earn/redeem tickets for prizes. Food is surprisingly good for a bowling alley, including the brick oven pizza. The only gripe I have here is the seating arrangement at the bowling lanes. It can get cramped with 3+ people.

We haven't bowled for a very long time we did a family date night we did 4 games and had some drinks and got chicken wings their spicy garlic is soooooó good with the special we got a arcade card and had more fun after we were done bowling. Very family and couple welcoming.

Sometimes I'll hang out in Bowling alley bars on a weekday afternoon without ever bowling just because that's one of the most depressing places to be. However the newly remodeled Skidmore's Holiday Bowl is actually kind of a nice place to go regardless of the usual bowling alley atmospherics. There's a surprisingly good selection of local beers on draught that isn't the usual Bud and Miller Lite. Also the food is on the level of a regular restaurant without being pricey. This just might be a good place to hangout if one can stand the sound of bowling pins constantly getting knocked over.

In a bowling league with some buddies. The remodel has been a success. Clean and well lit. The food is beyond typical alley fare. Brick oven pizza is amazing. Chicken tenders are hand breaded and perfect. Really good food. Facility hours are sketchy and bowling is a little over priced. Really good food and lanes make it worthwhile.

This was our second time here at Skidmore’s Bowl. We were celebrating our daughter’s 8th birthday and we had such an amazing time (just like last time)! The staff was absolutely incredible! We were helped by Julia, Kayden, and the manager Freddy. Special thank you to Freddy for taking extra care to help us get things coordinated with all the members of our party as everyone arrived at separate times. And for showing our daughter such a great time on her birthday!! We had a BLAST!!

We enjoy going here to hear local bands. It can be hit or miss on service. Sometimes it's excellent others it takes quite a while to get food and/or a drink. It has improved since our experience in February when getting a drink took over an hour and after our food order took over 2 hours we gave up and left. On that night it appeared they had no idea that music can bring in a lot of people. The servers we've had since then were great although often they are pulled to be bartender etc and then it can take a while to get a drink or food however that is absolutley not their fault but more management. We enjoy this venue and acknowledge it's hard to keep employees these days. Hopefully this issue is resolved though.

We had a great time bowling here. They have the bumbers on the lanes for the little ones, and also the ball ramp for the kids who can't get the ball all the way down the lane. Good food, and fun employees. The arcade is pretty cool, just enough games to have fun.....

Could've been better experience. End of year teachers meet up was held here. One of the wait staff was not having a good night. The drink he made was not drinkable so I told him kindly, he didn't react well. He slammed it down on bar on his way to kitchen. I wanted another drink but after that I didn't trust him to make another so I just asked for reimbursement for drink. He didn't apologize or recognize his error so we just left it at that. We all have an off day but can't customers to be okay with it. My husband had tipped him well already.

My post didn't upload. Sorry Skidmore Holiday Bowl. The renovation is absolutely stunning. My family and I have generations of bowling and have never thought I'd see a sleek, modernized and still have that vintage bowling alley feel to it. They have amazingly great food at their new bar/restaurant area and its overall and very well kept, clean and friendly environment! Will plan to sign up for the summer leagues this year. Thank you Skidmore for taking value in your customers and making the change. Your bowling alley is immaculate!!

My friend went bowling here on Saturday and today she told me how good the fries and wings were. So we went on a beautiful hike then she said let’s get those wings!!!! I hadn’t been here in more than ten years, the place looked amazing and then we got our food and OMG 🤤 I have never had such good wings for real and the friend were amazing with how this and delicious they were the pork was so good and the chili was hot and yummy. I was seriously just blown away and already craving it again! Too bad I live in Rio Rancho :/ but I’ll definitely be back soon!

We recently went here with all of our kids to have a family outing. They have a great Lane special from 5 to 9 I believe during the week for an hourly rent of $37 for six people. The service was a little slow here the food was decent and the drinks were good. Everyone was friendly. We had a great time and we will definitely be back

Haven't been here since the big remodel. This is not the holiday bowl of my youth! It's so clean and open. You can finally have food and beverage at your lane. The newly updated building is beautiful. It feels more spacious on the lanes and less cramped. Love the bar/restaurant with better food than a snack bar. Staff is friendly and a server who comes to the lanes really limits unnecessary breaks. Best bowling alley! I'll certainly be back to this one!

Was difficult while remodeling was going on, but now that it's nearly complete, it's very nice. The remodel included revamping the snack bar into more of a restaurant. At the same time, the quality of the food increased significantly... really stepped up their game. Staff is always friendly and personable.

While excited to use my new bowling ball and shoes from the pro shop, I was disappointed to feel un-welcomed by the desk staff. My friends and I have become avid bowlers trying to improve by going a few times a week here, but will now be moving to Silva Lanes. The friendly faces once at the front desk are gone, and now the young man there has been surprisingly rude. This being said, I will always come to the older gentleman in the pro shop for all my gear, seeming to be the last good man standing here at this facility.

There are a few things you want in a great bowling alley: vibrant atmosphere, courteous and helpful staff, smooth lanes and great food...Skidmore's has it all in abundance! They also have a great arcade and prize center! And a cool bar and patio! The best part to me, though, was the staff, they really love this place and it shows! We will be back, often!

Newly renovated. Looks really nice! Come check it out! They have a great new bar, and open view gas oven. I got very good service and everybody was attentive to guests New cushy seating, but the tables between the seats makes it very crowded with little room to move around. I know another house in the Rio rancho area that would benefit hugely from a renovation like this place got. More building still happening, so more to see soon.

We had such an amazing time!!! Their renovation was well worth it. Holiday bowl ain't what it used to be and it's better for it. Their nightly specials fit in to our low end budget. But the real star of the night were the NACHOS!!! OMG folks totally worth it🤩🤩🤩🤩 my friends and I had more fun than a night downtown. Service was great drinks were on point 👌

The food was tastey, but the meat was small. The bun was a good size on my burger, but it was like the old commercial "where's the beef?" Fries, great, toppings well done... just where's the beef? This place was packed, an hour wait to bowl, so we skipped it and went home. They are remodeled and not so sketchy as they once were, but plan ahead, and bring your own party, because you won't get a full burger here.

WOW! So in the last year maybe they did a complete remodel, I must say it is amazing! Great friendly staff visiting the lanes often to check on us for the 2 hrs we had a 5yr olds birthday party, the food is awesome, pulled pork potato skins are to die for! Gabe is a top notch waiter too. But he was not the only staff making sure we were taken care of!

I went there for karaoke with my girlfriend and a friend of ours. Great Karaoke display and sound. The DJ however was not sticking with a rotation. We were there for nearly 3 hours before we approached the DJ to ask how long it would be before we could sing. While waiting some other guests had sung twice and some others had gone up 3 times. In spite of the great atmosphere, great bartender, and friendly people, I don't think we'll go back.

Pretty fun bowling alley. I loved the included "Break into Truck" package. Very expensive bowling trip but I think it was worth it, just don't park in the back. Jokes aside it was pretty fun for the family just a little too exciting when we left.

best alley in ABQ, hence the crowd a lot of times, but I always have a good time. They've of course now added the new bar, restaurant and arcade which are all really nice. Food is good, not what one would imagine for bowling alley food, and beer is locals on tap. Only gripe is the way the new seating/couches are for each lane ends up really cramped, especially with full lanes.

Honestly it's pretty nice. Bowling was good, food was way better than expected, I especially liked the chicken fingers. Arcade was pretty respectable as well (no round 1, but lots of new machines). I was expecting a standard bidding expectance and they upped their game. Good job.

Galactic bowling! Awesome 90's hip hop mixes of music! Saturday night open lanes, and no wait! I would've given this place 5 stars except the layout of the seats in the bowling area made it difficult to move around, and take turns with our group. Also, they didn't have prices by the game at the time we went. It was over $15/hr each person, so the price is a little higher than some other places. The foods is over priced as well imo.

I would recommend but if you ask me it was kinda expensive. It was over $45 for me and my 7 year old son to play for an hour or about 3 games.

Every time I go to Holiday bowl I have an amazing experience. The general manager Freddy always makes sure your experience is a positive one. The games are affordable and the lanes are properly maintained and oiled. I recommend the 300 burger with cheese but none of their food is bad. If you can deal with a cowboys fan tending bar she's really pleasant and makes a great Long Island iced tea. Have fun and high scores.

I've bowled almost daily at holiday bowl for the past month or so bringing up my average and consistency with bowling. The lanes are expertly maintained and always perfectly oiled. I usually spend between 2 and 3 hours there with my friend. Both of us have purchased our balls from the pro shop with a very educated manager, paul. He fixed the damage done to my ball at lucky 66 and restored it to the point that it looked better than when I bought it. Staff is very friendly and welcoming and is always happy to cater to our every need. Always happy to bowl here. Well worth the time and money. Thanks for all you guys do!

Came here with my two kids, my husband and my brother. Bowling check-in/payment was easy and straight forward. We were put right next to another family even though there were many lanes available on either side of that family, so we asked to be moved and we were. Shoe sizing was easy and accurate to our normal shoe sizes. Food was okay. It was nothing spectacular, but it’s bowling alley food and not fine dining. I wish there were more options for vegetarians and vegans.

The facelift the place got is fantastic! It's now vary modern and chic. The updated menu, including pizza, rivals any stylish eatery or cafe. The popcorn also received a makeover, and is now the tastiest on the east side of the river. Plus they keep the sodas coming with free refills. The new gameroom is smaller then Main Event or D&Bs, but they put in a such a great selection of games, the fun is the same, or better. Finally, the new bowling software even takes the bowling up a notch. And after all the upgrades, the prices remain reasonable. I highly recommend... and not just because we share a name.

Its a great bowling alley! However I went during a time when the were renovating and really shouldn't have been open for business. They've torn out the parking lot making it very difficult for small cars to enter and exit I had to avoid large rocks sticking up from the soft dirt. The inside is getting an upgrade too! And SHOULD be great WHEN DONE, right now it's boarded up covered in plastic sheeting. And open for business meaning 40% of the inside is inaccessable and you have to walk on partially built floors. It's still a great place, just call first to see what kinda shape the renovations are in.

Today we went there for a school event and had a great time, but the food was very misleading. I was told that the wild fries and pretzel fondue for a table serving would be a platter sized meaning it could be split between 4 people each but it's really an individual plate that I "could" split. It was expensive as well for 2 individual plates, came to $17. I did even it to a $20 with the tip and felt embarrassed at the event from how tiny the serving really was. Maybe dont be very vague with how big the plates really are as a serving size and make the platter plate for 4 people. At little ceasers I could have gotten maybe 3 pizzas with that instead and felt wasted out 20 dallors. So now after the event me and my child are going to McDonalds at least I know we'll be full then.

This is a great bowling alley to bring kids. They have a small but fun gaming area that consists of ski ball, motercyle games, a walking dead game and many more fun activities. My family and I had to wait 30 minutes, so i took them to skidmores restaurant area ( next to the gaming area) and watched the kids play games. Since we had to wait over 20 minutes they provided everyone (one game card per person) with a complementary game card that held 20 points on it. If you were to buy your own card its around 10 points per dollar. I enjoyed their nachos while waiting. Its quiet yet exiting and positive attitudes are seen in the employees! I recomend this place to elderly people who enjoy bowling, beer and other beverages, as well as to familys who are seeking food fun and happiness or at least an escape from stress.

I've been a league bowler here for over 20 years and Gary Skidmore and his family never disappoint! The equipment is good, lanes are in great shape, and the people are friendly. I do have two suggestions that might make a great place better. First, the setup of the lane areas can make things a bit cramped. This is probably not an issue for the average person who comes for open play, but as a league bowler I find that there is not enough seating and not enough room for the plethora of balls league bowlers bring. Secondly, although the food is delicious at the snack bar, the same 10 choices can get a bit boring for someone who is there every week. Maybe add some different specials during leagues as some of us come right from work and would appreciate something a little different. I've always enjoyed bowling at Skidmore's Holiday Bowl and with the improvements they are making, I can only see things getting better!

We are league bowlers. Back in the old days, when a league team had to pre-bowl or make up a week of bowling, the lanes would give them a buffer of one lane on either side so that bowlers who don't understand bowling etiquette didn't walk up on them while they were on the lane. Naturally, if the house needed all of the lanes, this would not apply. It would be greatly appreciated if Holiday Bowl would revive that practice.

I suck at bowling, so the fact that you have to be 8 and under to use bumpers really agrivated me. The service wasn't very good, and the nachos I ordered gave me the poops. You wouldn't think it but the food is excellent. I expected typical snacks but no. These guys go all out. It's worth the visit to just check out the pizza oven.
