Great pool, with great indoor natural lighting, and very clear and clean water. The showers and changing rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is super nice.

An above average lap pool. Lots of lanes. It lacks a few amenities such as lockers or a suit spinner. The water temperature could be a bit colder for better laps but that would impact the rec swimmers.

My favorite pool in ABQ! Indoor pool with two diving boards (one high drive), open swim in 3-5 ft with lap swim up to the diving area. They have an outdoor kiddo pool thats 1.5 feet and warm. Patch of grass next to it is perfect for laying out in the sun or eating a snack in the shade. (Women's) locker room is large and has public and private showers and changing areas. Showers warm up quickly. Staff is nice, most are personable. They also have a fish tank that my daughter and her bestie always look forward to seeing.

As one of the pools within the public high schools in the area, the Highland pool is convenient and affordable, especially for those within its geographical area. Hours are found on the city website, and it is a low cost way to give the kids a fun Friday evening for just $.50 for two hours per person. We've been taking our kids there for years and have never had any problems. It's good fun and a great price!

It's an older pool, but it's always open and the staff are consistently great and helpful. It usually runs on the warmer side (ie. not freezing cold) which is good for water aerobics, and is quite comfortable; I'm referring to the shallower end of course. The deep end is of cooler for laps and is great with the skylights during the daytime. It's a great place and friendly staff.

I use the pool for morning swims at least three or more times a week. The water seems to be well maintained in the mornings, and the rest of the facility cleaned, however, they sometimes have the faucets (where the mirrors are) turned off for some reason, and the electric plugs don't work at the same time. They have no notices for this, and it's hard to predict when they would go out of service. Except for such inconveniences, everything else seems kept up well.

good pool temps, showers on the back wall get hotter first, and good prices for entry. No lockers but I just put my bag by my lane. It can get crowded, so learn how to share lanes and don't complain about it.

There were some questions about water temp, and this was a problem. It was an old, often-troublesome boiler. It has been replaced, 'long about last fall (Fall of '16). Very good temperature control ever since - always '80-'82, around in there.... As for the comment about "drug deals in the parking lot" and the "horrible neighborhood," etc. - well, yeah, Highland is pretty tough neighborhood, but it's no so bad, and having been using Highland Pool for about 8 years now, I have no recollection of being bothered by anybody in the pool parking lot... This is a heavily utilized pool, probably the most used pool in the system with the likely exception of the West Side Aquatic Center. They do a pretty good job at Highland.

Old but still a nice pool. Far less crowded than West Mesa, and the lifeguards here seem to be able to control recreation swimmers encroaching into lap lanes, which is a huge improvement over West Mesa.

The experience at Highland pool, each and every year is amazing for my daughter and nephew. The confidence building and trust are incredible to watch between instructor and my daughter and nephew.The instructors and staff are uplifting, friendly and fantastic. Thank you!

Great swimming pool with lap swim and some diving boards to have fun with afterwards. Pool was busy, but not crowded when I went on a Tuesday evening (about 1 person per lane). Great place for a quick and inexpensive swim.

Water was pretty cool for a heated pool, and it was a tad expensive but plenty of lifeguards, not too busy, and they had some plastic steroids in the shallow end.
