I've been to many tackle stores, and never once left a review for any of them, positive or negative. Tampa Fishing Outfitters absolutely deserves a great review for many reasons, however, I will mention only a few. 1. You cannot beat their prices. Their prices are surprisingly competitive with the larger chain stores and Amazon. Don’t waste your time price shopping for a better deal. 2. Their inventory selection/variety is outstanding with high quality merchandise. If you need it, they either have it in stock, or something comparable. 3. Staff helpfulness. When I visited, they were extremely helpful. No pressure to buy anything but spend time with me to make sure I was helped in a professional manner. Thank you!

The staff is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of fishing! These guys are one of a kind. I drive across the state to spend myoney with them because these guys are simply amazing!! Soooo freaking nice and just go out of there way to help me for about 4yrs now! They have 3 or 4 locations so they have the ability to get whatever it is I need and on the fly! Picked up a new Shimano bait casting reel and some lures. I was able to also get a military/first responder discount, so paid less than if I got it at the big box outdoor store or big box sporting good store. The clerks were very helpful in helping me decide on the right reel and line I put on the new reel. A positive experience... large selection of everything and anything to do with fresh and salt water fishing. Worth the visit.

Where to start.... Such an awesome store! I have a obsession with Favorite fishing rods, so I drove almost an hour to get there but it was totally worth it! I spoke with what I believe to be the owner of the store and he was genuinely a nice person and seems to share the same love for Favorite fishing rods as me. The other employees are extremely friendly, and equally knowledgeable. They carry products I've never seen as well as all the favorites and much much more! They are probably the most knowledgeable staff of fishing professionals you will meet around in this state. From what color of lure and how fast or slow to reel it; to how long or how short of a rod to use...what they bring to the table in addition to what they sell makes them more than 5 stars 7 days a week and twice on Sunday!

One of the best tackle shops in the Tampa Bay area! No question that any real fisherman will feel the same. These guys have anything, and everything you can think of as far as fishing is concerned. This place is geared more toward saltwater fishing,but no question about it an excellent shopping experience. The staff will walk you through and guide you in the right direction for what you will need for tackle without using pressure tactics. They will literally spend any amount of time talking to you about fishing, what to use, and where to go, even if you don't buy anything. I have never fished saltwater so I needed some fishing products and information. Tampa Fishing Outfitters is an amazing local store! I was helped by Keaton who is a complete fishing almanac... He showed me which lures and products work best for my target species in the local area. Keaton also spooled up both of my new reels like a champ. Keaton went way above and beyond and showed me how to tie knots, best practices, and several overall pointers... The rest of their staff are very nice and also assisted me with more answers and never got annoyed at all of my questions. I am truly grateful to Keaton and Tampa Fishing Outfitters! I am so glad I found a place with nice experts, a great selection, and very competitive prices! If you're in the area check them out, you won't be disappointed!
