20 year gun and muzzle loader hunter. Went in knowing nothing about a bow. The bow felt foreign to me because I have never used one. The guy behind the counter knew what he was talking about and got me set up with a new Mathews bow in about 15 minutes I was all set up and will pick up my new bow in a few days after it’s all set up. No nonsense. You go in there ready to dive in and they take good care of you. Totally happy!

Had a wonderful experience today. Brought in a bow that I purchased in a sale from another company. Never had any rude attitude from them about not buying the bow from their store. I needed it fitted to my girlfriend. We wanted a peep put in, new rest, draw weight adjusted, and help for her to sight it. They were very helpful and courteous. She was very nervous since she is new to the sport. They made her feel very comfortable and taught her a bunch of things about the bow and technique. Not sure who was helping the people who have the negative comments. They went above and beyond for us. He greeted us when we came into the store just fine and gave great advice. I will be going back in a few weeks to purchase an upgraded bow for myself. They have a price sign right by the counter, so you can see what your going to pay for the services that you need. There was no hidden fees or price gouging. This was our first time in this store and we drove 2 hours to get there. It was well worth it. See you guys in a few weeks and keep up the wonderful work.

Awesome shop! I bought a bow here and had a great time. Staff was very helpful and experienced. He set my bow up and let me take a few practice shots. We talked a bit a about shooting techniques and provided some advice. You can tell these people take archery seriously and truly enjoy what they do! Thanks!

Great place to deal with. I liked the place under the previous ownership, but really enjoy going there even more now. I’ve bought a couple of bows from the new people and I always feel like they go out of their way to get me set up. I try to stop by during the week when they’re a little slower, but even if the place is packed, the service is great. Sean is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about what he does, so I would not hesitate to stop by if you’re looking for something archery related. Prices are really fair for a pro shop too! Thanks!!!!

Go here for your archery needs. Great experience. I drove 45min and will gladly do so again next time I need anything for my bow. I bought a bow secondhand, came in for an arrow rest. They set me up and tuned my bow up perfect. Employee named Sean is extremely helpful. Friendly atmosphere and unbeatable prices. I’ll be back.

After using my first bow ever for 7 years I decided it was time for an upgrade. I stopped by Arrowhead Archery late in the evening just to look and met Shawn. He allowed me to shot every brand bow they had until I found the bow that picked me. He was patient, professional and answered all of my questions. I picked out all of my accessories and realized it was already 10 minutes after their closing time. He was more than willing to stay and get everything tuned and adjusted for me even though it was going to take an hour but I decided to just leave it and return the next day so we wouldnt have to rush it. I went back the next day and the service was just as good. He spent over an hour with me making sure that everything was to my liking. Thank you again Shawn and Arrowhead Archery!

These guys are tremendous! Bought my first bow from here and can’t say enough about how I was treated. I wish they were closer to where I live but I will definitely make the extra drive to get there and will be a customer for life. They hooked me up to the best of their ability, gave good advice, made sure I had all I needed and were patient with my uncertainty as to what bow I wanted.

My father and I stopped by looking to get into archery as a Father /Son bonding activity. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and welcomed in like old friends. We had a lot of questions, as this was the first time for us, but the staff was patient and very knowledgeable. They help us find our draw lengths got us set up with the bows and the whole 9 yards. They took the time to walk us through the basics and get us going. At one point I was picking out arrows and equipment, and the sales rep stopped me to recommend that I choose a different brand to save money. He told me I should hold off on the big stuff until I was sure I was going to stick with it. As I was a first timer this really stuck out to me, I was impressed that he was there looking out for my experience rather than just my money. This simple old school way of doing business is almost unheard of these days. Needless to say They made a Great first impression and I look forward to future visits.

I went in with a bare bow and had them set it up for me (sights, draw weight adjustment, length). I am new to serious archery, I did some of it as a kid, and they were incredibly professional and helpful. I looked at prices for most of the things I wanted online before going in and their prices were 100% competitive with anything available online. I then asked for some tips as someone just getting into the sport and one of their staff spent over an hour with me on their indoor range getting my fundamentals down. By the time I left that day I was landing arrows with-in a 5 inch circle. I was incredibly happy considering I haven't shot a bow in probably 20 years. I would recommend this shop to anyone interested in getting into archery. They also apparently have a Kids program every Monday evening, and I think that is pretty cool too.

Had a great time. My wife and I were just getting started and they got us set up for way less than what we thought we would need to spend. We signed up for classes with Scott (highly recommend). We had gone to another shop that day and had a bad experience. Very helpful and welcoming to new shooters, and very patient with all our questions. Can't wait for the next class on Saturday!

After visiting a local "big box" store that left us feeling a bit confused and with a lot of questions, my wife and I, who are both very new to archery, visited Arrowhead Archery a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon. Despite the fact that they were busy, the gentlemen behind the counter, Chris, and his wife Ashley, took the time to show us numerous bows and explain the differences between the various manufacturers and styles. Once we settled on bows that we thought would fit our needs and budget, they allowed us to try them out to make sure before purchasing them. After deciding to buy two bows, they set them up for us by setting the draw weight, draw length and tuning and then they custom cut us each six new arrows and then allowed us to shoot them on the range with them helping us out with the basics. My wife and I have since went back to shoot at the range, and Ashley spent a lot of time and patience helping us to understand the proper basic techniques of shooting and then helped us both site in our bows and get comfortable with them. (thank you Ashley!) I have been very happy with both of our trips to this Arrowhead Archery so far, and based on that, I would not hesitate to recommend them. P.S. I rechecked the prices at the big box store using their website, and I actually got a better price at Arrowhead Archery than I would have from the big box store for the two exact same bows.

Archery is very fun and easier than I expected. When I walked in the two employees did not acknowledge our presence. One was on the phone and the other working on equipment. I figured the guy on the phone would eventually stop and say something but he did not. Finally, I went up to him and he pointed me to the other guy(part owner). I started talking to him and he asked the guy on the phone to get us set up. Strange. Once he started helping they were fine. Its almost as if they have to decide if they want to serve you or not. Very strange. Once we got going, we had a great time.

My wife and I went in for an hour rental and had a blast. Chris showed us the ropes and let us be, but kept himself available in case we needed him. I had some questions about other bows when our hour was up and he let me test them at my leisure without any charge. If and when I make a purchase this is where it'll be.

Great shop. Best in the area. Was helped by bird and randy and they were great. Was a little nervous about bird because he is you but boy was I suprised. That guy knows his stuff. Helped me pick the right equipment both of them did. Bird set my bow up and had it shooting great. Outstanding bow technician. Outstanding knowledge from both randy and bird. Have never shot better. Glad I made the switch from adventures archery to arrowhead archery. Class act shop great service and great selection. I will definatly be back and send all my friends. Just new to archery and wanted to find a place where they would get me set up with what I need and what I need to know and this place did it without fail got to the shop and explain what my situation was and he offer the option of a recuve or compound but I went with the compound so he showed me the pse stinger x ready to shoot bow and started size my draw length and what was my ideal draw weight shot it the same day got a total package arrows, relese everything. Do to my hyper self I got home not even 1 hr after I left and dried fire my bow wish was explain to me but was black out about the idea of shooting the bow had to bring the bow for new strings was fast and easy . overall they are a 10 always welcome and always meeting new people when I got to shoot that are always telling you tips to improve your archery experience

We came here during a Thursday afternoon to shoot some arrows, and it wasn’t busy at all. The guy went through the basics briefly and left us alone to play with the arrows, which was nice. They have a short and a longish distance range indoors, and overall, a fun experience!

I've been to a number of different archery shops throughout the Southeastern United States. Based on my own personal experience in visiting and dealing with different archery stores, Arrowhead Archery in Tampa is far beyond all other businesses that specialize in archery, and archery hunting products; including bow fishing. There is literally nothing you could want or need that they don't have, literally hanging on their shelves. Another invaluable factor is the knowledge of the owner and his staff. Regardless of whether you have a compound bow, crossbow, or recurve / longbow, they know what to do, how to do it right, and have the equipment on site for whatever work or improvements you want done. There is a wide selection of the latest bow sights, mechanical release aids, the best arrows and bolts, and every type of broadhead you'd ever need. In case the above wasn't enough reason to make this store you're one and only choice, there are two indoor shooting ranges with targets for all levels. You can't go wrong. I wouldn't bother writing it but for the experience I had in their store yesterday.

This place is exceptional. I purchased a bow for my son there about a year ago and really did not think too much about it. They were the only specialty shop in the Brandon area, so that is where I went. However, I recently purchased a Groupon, which I discovered was for the same place. Makes sense. The Groupon was for my son and, honestly, I was not overly thrilled about going. Figured it would be something different. When I realized the Groupon expired soon, I called to set an appointment. The guy on the phone told me "Don't worry about it- we will get you in and honor the Groupon.". When we showed it, the guy at the counter was very nice. He made us feel right at home although we have never really shot before. Its not like you are walking into a business, it is like you are going to visit with friends. You can tell they have a close knit group of regular customers who also treat you like you belong. I highly recommend this company. They are a class act! By they way, I had an amazing time. It was great. Cant wait to go back!

My first experience was awesome, I was looking for a compound bow for my daughter, she is in the Archery club at school. I mentioned the coaches name and the gentleman knew exactly what I needed. He even held it for a day and offered any other questions or concerns to call anytime, I was able to get this gift for my daughter before christmas. Thank you, for being kind and helpful. Best archery shop in Florida! Went there for a generic service and installed a sight and rest on my PSE. They were extremely helpful and Ashley took some time to give me some techniques. within 1 one shot all my groups were within 2 inches

Was fairly empty. Didn't have as large of a selection as a lot of the pictures showed. Very few accessories. Looked like they were having a going out of business sale with as little as they had. Prices were decent though.
