The employees were working hard on Mother's Day to take care of customers, and they did a great job. Noah was our salesman, he gets 5 stars. I give the store 4 stars because they lack Altra inventory. They had the shoes I wanted for my mom, the Lone Peak 6, so I was happy. I have several pairs of them, and was hoping to see some other models in person. My mom loves the shoes, and it was great to find them at a store. Big thanks to the hard working staff.

Went in to upgrade my shoes after 7 years of casual off and on running. Lety did a great job of helping me even with the store being quite busy on a Saturday morning. She helped me with several shoes and addressed my questions as I tried different pairs. Great service and look forward to shopping here again!

Alaina was so sweet, helpful, and patient during the entire process, ensuring that I was happy with each step and style. She measured my gait, usage, and let me try insoles to ensure I was getting the best fit and custom support for my feet as possible. And the prices matches up with options online exactly. This location had a HUGE selection of all different brooks styles. The selection itself within the sizes themselves wasn't good at all. Regardless the prompt service, the customer service, and the efficiency with the help we received still keeps it 5 stars. The shoes i posted are the ADRENALINE 21's. At first i thought they were super plain, until the sun hits them. These BROOKS shoes are the most comfortable shoes i've ever had. They fixed my back within an hour after wearing them.... REALLY!!!

I came into this road runner a couple weeks ago and was helped by a super lovely person. I am super picky with shoes as my feet are almost a whole size different from each other so finding the perfect fit is hard especially when you’re as picky as me lol. This young gal (I think her name was Roxy? Hopefully that’s her name lol) helped me find the perfect size Brooks Ghost 14s after measuring my feet and bringing me multiple options and brands to try on to make sure I found the perfect shoe to go running in. Great experience and I’ll drive back to this location in green lake all the way from Mill Creek because of it

Amazing experience! Irene provided us with excellent service and a strong working knowledge about all kinds of running shoes. I went in thinking I knew what I wanted. After listening to Irene’s explanations and answers to my questions, I moved in a different direction regarding shoes. I am happy with my purchase. In regards to COVID-19 safety precautions, Road Runner Sports got it right! Good monitoring of the number of people in the store and social distancing. Everyone was wearing a mask. Irene followed precautions very closely helping to make our first shopping excursion since “stay at home”, pleasant. Thank you, Irene!

Update: Rhain from the corporate team was very helpful in coming to a fair resolution. Rhain was very helpful and responsive. I would love to give this location 5 starts. The local team is very helpful and knowledgeable. However 2 stars are removed because of the corporate office. I have been trying to get a hold of a customer service rep for the VIP membership for over 4 months. I've called 3 different numbers on the website, I've sent emails. And I am never able to connect to anyone or get a response. I finally called the store with my issue and they were able to help me in 5 minutes. Not sure why they list a variety of numbers if they have no one to answer at the customer service rep. I've gotten cable issues dealt with faster than this.

Shoe shopping is normally a long, difficult, and nigh impossible task for me. I came in knowing I'd take a while and hoping I'd find something, but really expecting my usual routine of trying on a dozen or more pairs and settling for something mildly functional, even if still far from ideal. I'm pleased to say I was happily surprised! The shoe fitting experience was revolutionary to me, and I left with one pair of shoes, custom insoles, a plan for getting another pair, and more understanding about my feet and how good shoes should work than I've ever had before. Jess is outstanding in every single way!They were confident, pleasant, and highly knowledgeable. When a pair didn't make the cut, Jess knew Exactly what to do with that info and how to find the right shoes that fit well. I left feeling less like I went through a sole-fitting, and more like I found shoes that were soul-fitting. I'm excited about my shoes and how well they fit and meet my needs. Customer service and happiness with your shoes are the outstanding principles at Roadrunner. They reminded me that a perfect fit came with a 90 day warranty. Who does that? Marisa & Christian were tremendously helpful. If you walk or run, an active person, this is where you buy your shoes, even, if like me, you have an extra long, narrow foot.

Incredible experience. I’ve been a dorky marathon runner for a long time and got used to an amazing team in San Diego before I moved to Seattle and for whatever reason never expected a difference in service going elsewhere. I was dead on correct - Road runner is awesome everywhere. I wandered in to the Green Lake store in Seattle needing new gear for this next half marathon and Anthony took absolute care of everything I needed and beyond. Honestly this is such a great community of runners who care about each other and thank you for this company 🥰

I don't know how much Andrew gets paid, but I do know it's not enough. He's certainly a valuable employee and this comment should be considered when performing his review. He was already helping another customer when I arrived, but I was greeted by (both associates) upon arrival. Andrew took the time to inquire why I was there and got my insols in the oven while he continued with his original customer. While helping that customer through the shoe buying processes, he continued to help me through my order and delegated when the opportunity presented itself. Well done, well done indeed.

We are passing through Seattle and stopped by the store today on a whim. I had a great experience with Anthony as our salesman. He spent over an hour with me and my teenager completing the full analysis and fitting process, and he did not seem to mind that my daughter couldn't decide on a good fit and chose to wait on buying. He explained how to retrieve our records from RRS's systems as we travel to other states with RRS stores so she can try again in the future. I got a great pair of shoes and custom insoles for me and insoles for my daughter, and I am confident about future purchases online since I don't live near any RRS stores. Thanks!

First time here. Great place to find some quality trail and running shoes. I went in with a small amount of knowledge about trail shoes and spoke with someone about an upcoming fitness event that I signed up for. She gave me some great suggestions on what to look for, for the type of event that I talked about. Just from her personality and ability to figure out what I needed, I signed up for their VIP. So, I walked in there looking for shoes and ended up leaving with exactly what I needed and then some, plus I saved money.

Jess was very helpful and patient. The store has a nice selection of running shoes. The technology available to help find the best fit is wonderful. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and they had one staff calling in sick last minute so just the two staff members helping everyone. They moved as fast as they could. After waiting for about 20 min, Jess helped me set up, gave me the evaluation, and I walked away happy with my new shoes in 20 min.

Highly recommend, I had a great experience here today! Kimberly helped me out finding my perfect pair of running shoes and she did a wonderful job. She and the other employees I talked to were very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about all things running. Kimberly asked me some questions about how often and far I run, my shoe cushion and support preferences, and other info needed to get a good idea of where to steer me. She then looked at my gait on a treadmill. After that my feet were analyzed with a 3D scanning device that made a detailed model of my feet - width, arch, size etc, and how far from the average each metric was. It recommended some shoes based on that. She helped me out as I tried on a whole heap of shoes until I found my perfect fit! Very excited with my shoes and I can't wait to take them out for spin.

I randomly popped in this store right before it was about to close for the day back in September 2021. I expected the young staff to be itching to leave, apathetic, and not super friendly. I could not have been more wrong. I was so impressed by and appreciative of Randall, who helped me find the right running shoes. We chatted quite a bit and he went above and beyond to explain different technologies to me about a variety of shoes and brands. He was so patient and just made my experience so enjoyable. It was fun watching him and his colleagues interact and see their passion for running and interest in shoes shine through. I will definitely be going back.

Road Runner Sports makes everything easy. The support team does a great hob recommending shoes and explaining why one would work better than another. The treadmills in store are clutch. The shoe selection is great without being overwhelming and everything else you might need for outdoor activity/training is there as well.

My first visit to Road Runner Sports in October knocked my socks off. The technology to determine the size and contours of my feet and analyze how I walk was dazzling, but the best part was the service I received from Muso (Irene), one of the salespeople. I've purchased a lot of shoes in almost seven decades, but never had such a helpful and friendly salesperson. She was knowledgeable about makes and styles of shoes, and could explain what differentiated them; she listened carefully to understand what I was looking for; and she was wonderfully friendly. This is the first time I can remember having shoes that fit my feet like the ones I bought, and they weren't the most expensive ones I tried on. Three months later and it's still a pleasure to put them on and wear them. Thanks, Muso! I won't hesitate to come back for my next shoes!

Cannot recommend this place enough. As I near my 40’s my pronation gate and flat feet had finally said “enough”. After back to back days and 33k steps in SoCal (one day at Disney) my right foot became “unwalkable” due to my wearing the wrong shoes and insoles. Rested a couple weeks, including not playing basketball. Mind you I would play 3-4 times a week for 2-4 hours at a time and have no foot pain issues… Well I played again after the SoCal incident, maybe two weeks after and on the second day, my right Achilles was sore, just as it was in SoCal before I couldn’t walk on it. I was referred to Road Runner and it has been a life changer! Custom molded insoles/support, 3D scan of your feet and a video of your walk/gate from behind so you fully “get it.” Beyond responsibly priced and zero pressure. Cannot recommend enough!

He paired me with a FANTASTIC pair of running shoes that took me 4.5 miles right out of the store. No blisters, perfect fit. The prices here are reasonable, especially for QUALITY running shoes. Very stocked shop, welcoming and professionally trained staff. In particular, Mia was very patient and skilled. She asked me to take a computerized barometric test, by walking on a board, and explained me very well the 3D graphics that the software generated. The analysis carried out in the store was consistent with other information that I already had about my way of walking and completed it. All this in order to recommend suitable shoes. I then bought a stabilizing model and immediately put the shoes on. I'm walking a lot on this tour of Seattle and Vancouver. The shoes were an excellent and providential purchase. Thanks Mia. Overall great experience! I came in a bit later in the day so the store wasn't busy at all. Bryce, one of the employees, was very quick to help and offered advice and solutions to all my questions. After doing a quick run test he immediately went back and grabbed a few shoes to try on that met my needs. A few other customers came in and Bryce started helping them too since again it was a bit later in the day so there weren't many employees to help, but he did a wonderful job making sure we were both taken care of and checked back with me frequently to see how each pair of shoes fit. Wonderful place, nice staff and plenty of shoes to try on. Will definitely be coming back!

So my experience here started out great! The woman helping me was very friendly and helpful. She helped me find the perfect pair of shoes. Then I get to the register and she’s very aggressive about purchasing the membership. The way she explained it was very confusing to the point where I didn’t even know what the membership was or what I would pay. I respectfully declined and chose not to get the inserts after seeing they were $83!!! After that she turned very cold. She was even kind of rude. I could tell she was angry I didn’t purchase the membership or the inserts. Kind of unprofessional and made me very happy I didn’t purchase the membership. Make sure you know what you what you want/need before going in.

I've always bought used shoes and had pain while running. I'm 27 and dropped in, at 10am, on a weekday, for a free ergonomics shoe fitting and foot analysis. I only waited for 5-10 minutes before someone was available to help me understand my running form, and gave me specific advice on movements to reduce my pain and improve my strength and flexibility. The shoes feel like a glove and I love wearing them all the time! I wish I had come here sooner and am so grateful for the truly generous knowledge and experience provided.

It's so fascinating to read the wildly divergent reviews here. I walked in, got really friendly and helpful service. I bought a pair of Saucony's and got the custom inserts. My feet have never felt better while running. (I was also directed to the best pair of socks on earth. On sale.) I am a very, very novice runner. So maybe expert runners are struggling because their knowledge outstrips the sales reps? But it's perplexing that so many people are reporting rudeness. I just got off the phone with the store, because it's time for me to buy another pair of shoes (it's been a couple of years, and they feel worn out), and the guy on the phone was friendly, helpful, and had the answers to my questions. Highly recommend.

I shop here regularly. They have decent selection and decent prices, especially if you join their loyalty program. They have a fancy run analysis tool to help you select a shoe type. I've never used it, but if that sort of thing makes you feel better, it's available. The staff all do some running, but this isn't the kind of running store where everyone is a running fanatic. If you are new to running, they can probably help, but if you've been around the block a few times, shop here for the selection and the prices and trust your own judgement.

I purchased a pair of shoes at Road Runner today, after visiting their competitor several times and failing to find a shoe that fit. I have probably tried on hundreds of shoes over the last few days at their competitor, but the first one at Road Runner was a success. I found their analysis very helpful. The competitor simply asked me to run a few feet while watching, but Road Runner checks arches, measurements as well as your gait and pronation. The assessment was more accurate in finding a shoe for my wide, high-arched foot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I think it's a bummer that they charge for a membership but it's worth it when you can finally find shoes that fit correctly! All in all, I am happy with my visit.

I came in here a month ago, new to running and with no idea where to start in buying good running shoes. As soon as I walked in, someone at the counter asked how they could help me and set me up with Mia. She was extremely personable and knowledgable! After having me run on a treadmill and 3D scanning my foot, she helped me find the perfect shoes. I came in with my husband about two months later to get him some new running shoes....we were greeted immediately again and got lucky enough to have Mia helping us! She remembered me and once again I was blown away by her knowledge--my husband has totally different feet than me and she still knew exactly what types of shoes would be most beneficial for him and why (after having him run on a treadmill and doing a 3D scan). She was totally patient with us, especially since we didn't know anything about what kind of shoes we wanted, and helped him to find a perfect pair as well. Mia has been amazing to me twice now and I recommend this store to everyone!

I've shopped here a number of times, and yes, I bought the inserts. Maybe they're helpful for some, others not. Bring them back if you don't like them. RRS has a very liberal return policy. I've always gotten good service here, including today. I returned a pair of shoes that weren't working for me. When I removed my insoles, they noticed that the ones I was wearing were sized wrong for the shoes I was in. Despite the fact that I'd bought them years earlier, they exchanged them on the spot without my even asking. If that's not good customer service, I don't know what is. For those who have to wait five to ten minutes for any kind of service anywhere - stop being passive aggressive. Be an adult and ask for what you want.

The advice and support from staff in the Greenlake store here is amazing. I thought I wanted to stick with the ASICS Gel Nimbus series and one of their staff helped me learn how great the Mizuno Waveknit line is for my feet! Now let's get to why I'm rating it 3 stars instead of 5. My experience with the website and customer support for Road Runner Sports as a whole has been absolutely atrocious. If you decide to stick with this company for shoes, I would strongly urge you to use their stores and never use their site. To give more context, I'd bought a pair of shoes in this store using my existing Rewards balance for a discount. Since I walk a lot, I try and rotate between two pairs of shoes. There weren't any more of my shoes in the right size at this location, so I tried to order a second pair through their website. When I went to check out it offered me the option to redeem my $15 or so Rewards balance. After selecting this option and going to check out, the checkout window showed about a $10 savings, which seemed odd. When I looked at the amount it actually charged after checking out, it had not applied EITHER discount. The "reason" I was told when I called up their customer service is that their website thought I still had the Rewards balance (of $15) I used in the store. Apparently, in this day and age it takes multiple days for their system to process a prior purchase and update your rewards balance, but the craziness of their system doesn't end there! I had them cancel the order with the incorrect balance and properly apply my current Rewards balance to an order by phone. A couple weeks went by with no shoes delivered or any new order for this showing up in my account on their website. I called them up and was informed that orders that are in transit do not show up anywhere on their website because they don't believe it's worthwhile for you to be informed of the order's status until the shoes are already delivered. You also will not receive a tracking number for your order for one of two reasons (I was told both so I don't know if either of these is actually correct). 1) Their website's screwed up and doesn't send out notifications per the customer support person I spoke to, or 2) Per one of their customer support leads, I unsubscribed from their marketing emails and that somehow means I'm not supposed to receive any tracking emails either (how is this logical if true?). The end result was that my shoes were apparently being held in a warehouse for over a week waiting for the shipper (Road Runner Sports) to contact them. Only after I'd called them up to find out what was going on did the shoes apparently get returned to Road Runner Sports and I was not even informed I would be getting a refund and my shoe order was no longer being processed. So in summary, in store service gets 5 stars. Website service gets maaaybe 1 star. Only use the website if you want a terrible customer experience. Hopefully this helps someone else avoid the headache that is their atrocious website.

I visited the store on 7/21/19 to get my running gate and feet analyzed in order to get better shoes. I developed shin splints in my left leg. Avery and Lety helped me and were both friendly and got straight down to figuring out how the best possible shoes for my mild pronation and shin splints. Lety is a seasoned marathon runner and gave me lots of useful advice to dealing with shin splints when upping running volume. It's been a little over 2 weeks since picking up a pair of shoes.
