I booked appoints for snowboard boot fitting for myself and ski boot fitting for my girlfriend today. Sam who helped my girlfriend was just wonderful. We bought boots and shipped to evo Seattle beforehand. He not only helped her trying a few other boots just for comparison. He put something in the inner layer of the boots we bought to make them a little tighter for better comfort and performance. There was 10% off on whole store today, and he helped us shipping everything to evo Portland to save another 10% on tax (We were going to Portland for something else anyways). I also exchanged my bindings to bigger size, and he put 10% off on those, too. So I am getting $30 refund. We spent about $1000 for a pair of ski bindings, skis, poles, and snowboard boots. We saved about $230. He even tried searching for price match but there was nothing cheaper on the things we picked. Overall wonderful experience with Sam here. Very patient and professional. I definitely recommend looking for him or book his appointments if you are a skier.

I usually purchase from evo online, but decided to make a 2 hour trip to check out the flagship store, and I'm so glad I did. All of the employees I spoke to were experts in their field. I've never talked to someone so knowledgeable about helmets in my life (thanks Anders!). I had another great experience with the service dept, who was an expert and educated me very well in the different types of brakes that I was looking at (and the ones I THOUGHT I needed). Great experience all around, I will be back!

He found me the right pair of boots, letting me try each pair until I found a match. He also took the time to show me different types of boards and bindings while sharing what the experience would be with each product. This shop is a true gem in Seattle and I'm so glad it's here. I've been helped by Liberty for boot fitting, Fletcher for goggles, and Cooper for insole help (sorry if I've made any errors in names). All exceeding positive experiences. As someone getting back into skiing, the guidance these experts gave me was invaluable. They truly give you the information and let you make your choice for the gear you want. I enjoy being in this store because of the atmosphere the staff creates for the community.

My family got our snowboard boots here back in September 2022 to prepare for this season. After a few runs my wife felt her foot a bit painful in the boots so we took them back to the store, hoping to seek some advise and looking for a new pair of boots. We weren't really expect anything that the store would do to this pair because it's a few months back and it's already used a few times. However, Ricky, who's the expert helped us showed great patience and understanding - he not only spent more than 1 hour helping my wife find better fitting boots, but also talked with his manager to find an economic way to replace our old boots with new boots with a minimal cost. We really appreciate the empathy, professionalism and the flexibility in meeting customer's needs. I would definitely recommend anyone who's looking for good quality stuff and good service come to this store.

This is a shout out to the bike shop! Now that the West Seattle Bridge is open and it's not such a PITA to go anywhere, evo in Fremont is my new, go-to bike shop. I brought in my bike for bearing replacements and a fork overhaul and was pleased with the communication that took place before, during, and after the service. They were great working with me about my options and saved me a few bucks. They were very generous with their time while I tried to educate myself in bike maintenance and offered several DIY tips that will be useful in the future. I wish I could remember some names and offer praise to the individuals I dealt with but each of the shop members, from the check-in crew to the bike techs was fantastic. I've also purchased skis, boots, boot-fitting, and ski tunes at evo and would recommend these departments as well.

Had a great service of ski boot modification in the store. I bought the boots from them late spring. They were okay when walking, but my toes hurt a little during skiing. I was thinking of changing into a larger size pair. Andrew remeasured my feet and well explained the needed modifications. Now the boots fit much better, and my toes are no longer hurting during skiing. The remodification service is free of charge. Thank you!

Went during the Black Friday weekend and even though it was packed with customers, the evo staff really helped me out a lot. I ended up getting all my snowboarding gear except bindings. Nick helped us a lot of bindings and boot fittings. He was super patient and took the time to really answer our questions. evo is a great place to get what you need and during the weekend there were major discounts. Snowboards/skis and boots were 10% off while goggles, gloves, and helmets were 20% off.

Sam the ski boot fitter rocks! I had an issue with my boots (purchased from Evo) and Sam set me up with the same boots (newer model) in the next size down as well as a soft arch support insole - the updated fit is a game changer and makes me feel far more confident in the transmission of forces from the boots to the skis. Delaney fixed my mountain bike a month ago and not only is my machine now smooth as butter and perfectly tuned, I just realized he fixed my front tire that I accidentally installed backwards. I came in for new skis/boots, and had a great experience getting my boots fitted with John - he was awesome: he recommended a few different pairs based on my specific foot shape, gave advice on the fit, and then took the time to heat-mold the boots, adding foam pieces to any pressure points so I ended up with a custom fit. I skied on them yesterday and they were super comfortable!

this review is for the bike shop specifically! They are extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable folks. I definitely had preconceived notions about Evo prior to actually visiting, expecting their shop to be uppity and low-grade service since it's a "big store." But far from it, I've always received great service there, whether I've brought my mountain bike in for a major tune, or just to chat about different part swaps I am considering. I also definitely felt a little unsure as to whether they'd take me seriously, being a woman, with a mountain bike which is far less fancy than 95% of the ones they see, but they treated me equally and always take the time to make sure I have what I need and/or understand what's being recommended. And I really appreciated that. I highly recommend taking your bike here, buying parts, or whatever it may be. Off-season may be better (when they're less swamped!) as they understandably get a ton of business when it's the pre-summer months and peak summer. They also definitely devote less staff to bikes in the fall, winter, early spring. Just to level-set. Thank you Evo!

Specifically want to shout-out *Matt Bennett* who is seriously one of the best bike techs I've ever worked with (and I've been mt biking for +30 years 😳!) Matt is a unique blend detail-focused-tech-bike-geek (and I mean that in the most positive of terms), incredibly customer-focused, and more importantly simply a really nice person. Feel lucky to have them as my LBS. Highly recommend this shop!

I had purchased an entire ski set up from Evo a year ago. When I finally hit the slopes the next winter my boots were so uncomfortable I couldn’t finish more than a single run. When I got back to Evo several months later, they explained the issue and exchanged my boots for a proper fitting pair with no grief whatsoever. I will never go anywhere else for all my outdoor adventure needs.

Purchased my son a very nice bike here for christmas the bike has broken twice in 6 months . Evo has been no help in getting the problem fixed . Very bad customer service handling the warranty I have given up on working with them after spending hours trying to resolve the warranty as it should be. A quality mens bike should not fall apart twice in 6 months of riding from a teen rider and the shop should do all they can to fix the problems when you are spending this kind of money not blame you or say its not a warranty issue when it clearly is. (Follow up) After a follow up from Dayna Brown the Senior Market Manager the problem has been resolved and Evo made things right. I am happy to have the problem resolved and just wish we could have made things easier the first time around. However thank you Dayna for reaching out and resolving the issue!

Had my ski bindings mounted here. Very unprofessional. They mounted the bindings unevenly and leave big gaps. This will be very unsafe to skiers. update: the technician was willing to re-mount and re-glue after asking. It will take tiIt to see how it performs.

I just bought 3 pairs of ski boots and then try them on right there to find the best one, then I returned the other two. The whole process was super smooth. I was researching "how to chose the best snowboard boot" and an evo video came up explaining just that. I then went to the evo website and discovered evo offers free boot fitting appointments. I immediately signed up. I also signed up my partner for a free binding fitting appointment. We both were assigned to Wyatt, who was so professional, nice and knowledgable. We walked away with such a great experience at evo. We've been boarding for many years and have bought equipment numerous times but this was the best experience ever. A lot has to do with Wyatt and also offering appointments is so crazy smart so HE doesn't have to rush and WE don't have to wait for a sales person to help us. We will be back next season to purchase our new boards! Thanks evo for greatly improving the shopping experience.

Without question the only place in the Seattle area that people should go for all of the ski and snowboarding needs. The quality of product is top notch and their staff is incredibly knowledgeable. What really sets them apart is their commitment to helping their customers. I had issues this season with some items that I had purchased from them (all manufacturer defects) and they absolutely bent over backwards to fix the issues as fast as possible. They legitimately cared about getting me back onto my board ASAP to save my snowboard season. It was unlike anything that I had ever seen before. I'll only recommend EVO to anyone who asks where to get their gear. You can't do better.

I live in the Seattle area and ordered skis & boots online on a Friday afternoon. It was delivered the next day without paying for expedited shipping. In addition, a few days later, the skis I purchased went on sale for $40 less. I sent them a quick email asking if I can have the price adjusted based off their low price guarantee, and they immediately took care of it and refunded me the difference. The service at EVO Seattle is great. I went to buy ski boots without making a boots fitting appointment but got a great service from Quintin - one of their fitters. My rental ski boots are size 27.5. I thought that’s the right size for me but Quintin helped help me figure out the right size and stiffness. Compared to the rental boots, the new boots recommended by him give me a totally different ski experience. He is so patient and professional!

Evo, with no questions, will price match any item that other distributors have in stock. Who doesn't love that! The staff is not only always helpful, but such fun to interact with too. Brandon Clarke is a really helpful, knowledgable, and patient boot fitter. At the beginning of the season I was sold a pair of K2s by a boot fitter who, I later realized, didn't know what he was doing and was more concerned with selling me a boot than finding my right fit. To Evo's credit, they kept their deal and offered to fit me for a new pair of boots and refund me for the ill fitting pair. I tried a bunch of different boots and a bunch of different boot fitters, all better than the first. Then, last night I was fit by Brandon Clarke. He is the most knowledgable boot fitter I've ever worked with. He stayed past closing to ensure I left the shop with a pair I was really happy with. He answered all one million of my questions with patience and grace. He truly made me feel like I was in good hands. I walked out with a pair of Dalbello Kryptons that I am very excited to try. I think Evo, due to its high volume of traffic, will always have boot fitters of varying quality, but if they keep talent like Brandon and they stay true to their promise of ensuring you get a good fitting boot, then it will always be a good place to go. If you're going to get your boots fitted, ask for Brandon Clarke. If you're Brandon's boss and you're reading this, he deserves a raise and some praise!

I'm new to skiing but snowboarded for years. I stopped by Evo for a boot fitting and had an amazing experience. Conner was great; very knowledgeable and explained the various parts of ski boot fitting to help me guide the process. They also heated the boots to customize the fit, and have a cool boot-fitting upgrade which includes additional sessions after you've had a few days in them (if you need it). My wife had just gone to another well-know ski outfit in Seattle, and one of the things that separates Evo out, in my opinion, is they still have quite a bit of stock to choose from. We ended up getting her boots from Evo as well, because we couldn't find anything from the other folks.

I went to EVO because of the glowing reviews. It's been a trip but in the end it was a great one. I started off looking to get some new custom made Intuition liners for some older boots I had. Sadly while the folks at EVO were able to make something "work" it didn't go well. If the review ended there, it would be 1 star. But I talked to a manager about it and they told me to come in. I met with Alex M on the sales floor and instantly he was like yeah, sorry, we shouldn't have done this. My boots were 15 years old and he explained a couple of reasons why I should move on from them. We sized my feet and within two tries he had found a perfect boot. I have feet that have never felt "great" in ski boots and within 15 minutes he'd found my glass slipper. Alex's knowledge of boot fit, features and spec was encyclopedic and gave me great confidence in moving on to a new boot. Which would have felt financially painful but Michael, one of the managers there worked with me to help recoup the cost of the botched liner job and the whole experience left me feeling like no matter what I was coming back to EVO. If you want expert advice on ski boots, and gear, this is clearly the place.

I unfortunately hit a rail while riding park and ended up with some pretty serious impact damage to my new board. The metal edge was bent inward and some delamination had occurred. I thought for sure that the board was a goner. But I took it to Evo and Kinsey Smith in the service department worked some serious magic because the board looks and rides as good as new. I seriously can’t get over what amazing work he did. If you ever need work done to your board or skis I highly recommend Evo.

tl;dr: buying a pair of fitted boots at Evo is cheaper+better than buying second hand Reserved a time for boot fitting for some Scarpas I bought online. The boot fitter took one look and said that they might not be the best fit for me, and I should try on some other boots they had. I reluctantly agreed that they weren't very comfortable at all, and there was no harm in trying on boots. She brought out 3 pair, all of which were much nicer than the secondhand boots I had been buying from Facebook marketplace (and kept buying because they never fit right). I was able to PRICE MATCH with one pair online, so I got an even better deal on some Atomics. With their 365 day return policy, I wasn't too worried about dropping $$$ on boots, since I could sleep on the purchase for a while and return them later. Bit the bullet and skied on them (now voiding the return policy), but I was very pleased with the boots, how comfy but light they were. Beat a bunch of geezers skinning up Summit West. Put some new insoles in them, which necessitated some punches. Brought the boots back to Evo to get them fitted, and now they are perfect, plus they did it for FREE because I bought them at Evo! I'm very happy that Evo has a location in Seattle -- they're always well staffed, and the staff really know what they're doing.

We stopped in on a busy Saturday, without an appointment, and Shelby was able to accommodate us. She answered all of our questions as we picked out skis & bindings for multiple family members. She was super knowledgeable, and did not try to up-sell or offer us something we clearly did not want or need. With product available to us all through so many different channels, service is what sets retailers apart. Update: Management reached out after this review and came up with several ideas for improvement. I'll increasing this review to 3 stars and I hope I'll be able to increase it further after giving them another chance later this season. Original review: Two stars. I rented touring skis here. When I made it to the mountain, my bindings were adjusted incorrectly so I could not put my skis on. Luckily my buddy had the tools needed to adjust them. Crisis averted. Also the screws on one of poles were not tight enough so when I pushed hard on the snow they failed. I went back to return the skis today and the guy I gave them to said sorry but said that there was nothing he could do. This is safety-critical equipment and they have no process for noticing when things go wrong and improving in the future. Also, the price for skis and skins and poles was $115, which is super steep in my opinion. Other places in the area are much cheaper.

Brand new to snowboarding, came in to get fitted for a full kit. Booking my appointment was super easy which I really liked. Worked with Chris who gave me so much excellent advice about what to spend more or less money on, what size to go for, what's a good deal, ect. Exactly the kind of experience you would want when getting fitted for gear, and super low pressure environment.

Getting boots to fit my feet is no small task, but Greg was methodical, knowledgeable, and I ended up with a great fitting boot that I was stoked to get. Their price matching policy helped me get a great deal to boot! Definitely go to evo, and if you need ski boots and have weird feet, ask for Greg.

I recently visited evo to upgrade my ski setup. I had done some light research before going in and was planning on visiting another shop before purchasing to make sure I was getting an appropriate ski/boot and for the best price. However, the team's thoroughness and transparency gave me total peace of mind that I was in the right place to invest in my ski gear! Connor spent the majority of Friday morning figuring out what I was looking for, and then walked me through the process of choosing what was exactly right for me. Inventory and customer service can’t be beat. Brittany greeted me at the door when I walked in for my appointment. She’s exceptional, knowledgeable, an expert in both equipment and riding style. She was able to direct me to exactly what I needed and a perfect fit within five minutes of describing the problems with my boots riding my riding experience. We tried a few others but her first pick nailed it. I appreciate efficiency, expert knowledge and precision which is why I jumped on writing this review. 👏🏼

Outdoor activities, specifically snowboarding, have been a huge part of my life for a long time. I have shopped at evo online before and I love their customer service through their online store. However, I have never felt so unwelcome at a gear store before. After asking about sale items, the employees became quite snobby and pretentious. Other gear shops do not treat their customers as less than just for inquiring about sale items. Disappointed. EDIT: The manager has since reached out to me about this. It seems to have been a one off issue that and is not a problem that seems to happen often if at all. I just had bad timing. I have since returned to the store and had a quite a pleasant experience made right by the manager and evo staff. Very pleased. I was not asked to give this review a five star or to update.

Boot fitting - excellent - got a wide foot with a high arch. The person helping me spent close to 2 hours with me - trying on different boots, finding the one that fit the best, heating and adjusting until the fit was perfect. Got assistance with new ski and binding selection based on my preferences. Afterwards had on-line chat during ordering when needed assistance on deciding on some sizes. Overall end-to-end wonderful experience.

I was looking for a new setup for split-boarding. I found what I wanted and came to the store. I picked everything out. But didn’t feel very confident about my decision. One of the employees suggested I speak to Lucian, (spell check) before making a decision. He was beyond helpful. I left feeling completely solid about my purchase. As you should spending 1,500$ on new toys. I shop at REI a lot. The staff I encountered at Evo had a much better attitude an I didn’t feel annoyed with my interaction with them. It was like I arrived at the surprise birthday party I didn’t know I was having. That’s a good welcoming feeling. Also Clancy I believe. (Arm in a sling) Beyond helpful as well and great attitude. He way my original help and was great. Everyone was great!!! Will be back for my new surfboard.

Great place for renting bikes to ride the Burke Gilman Trail in Seattle. The bikes were fitted to us and adjusted as we requested. Very good quality bikes. Would definitely rent from Evo again.

Due to COVID, you have to make an appointment for any hardware purchases (skis, snowboards, etc.) so I made an appointment for a full snowboard setup (1.5hrs). A wonderful staff member walked me through the whole process, giving me a ton of feedback and pros/cons for each recommendation that he gave me. I am probably an "advanced" rider, but don't keep up with the latest snowboarding technology, so I needed a lot of educating before I could make a purchase. As much as making an appointment ahead of time was a pain, it was so worth it for the 1:1 experience. evo is THE best place in Seattle to buy gear because the staff know so much and the service is excellent. I'll be back in two weeks (when I was able to get an appointment!) to get my husband some skis.

My sizes weren’t in the store so he helped me order them online. Came in a few days later to the store. After picking them up, he helped me heat mold my boots. My guy was super chill and helpful throughout the whole process. I was able to take my new setup for a run and couldn’t be happier. Appreciate you man!

While both were very helpful experiences, my fitting with Kyle was outstanding. He truly is an expert and spent so much time with me trying to get me into a boot that fit perfectly. I never felt rushed and the time he took definitely was important for getting the right fit. Evo has an incredible return policy and fit guarantee you can’t find anywhere else. Epic service and super knowledgeable staff. They live the lifestyle, know the products and are great at what they do. Bought a pair of snowboard boots for my son and Drew spent over an hour with us to try on a bunch of boots, get the fit dialed, and then get them heat molded. Also spent a bunch of time trying on all different goggles until I found the right ones with the right lenses and the staff knew their stuff in that department as well. If you want to blow your bootfitters mind, stop over at Fremont Brewing and buy him or her a 6 pack. The stoke is completely worth it :-)
