From the first phone call/conversation to check if a kayak was in stock til I was loaded up and driving away I had an A++++ experience. Greg was amazing to work with and very knowledgeable. Never once did I feel pressured into a sale or pointed towards a more expensive option. Will definitely be dealing with Music City Outdoors when it comes to my kayak needs for the foreseeable future. If you live within a couple hours of Nashville, they are worth the drive for sure.

Charles at Music City Outdoors is great. He took over an hour of his time to walk us through every boat we an interest in. He wasn't trying to push us the most expensive boat rather he wanted to make sure the boats we were looking for truly fit the needs and wants we had for a kayak. He offers the ability to demo any of the boats you are interested in before buying to make sure you like what you are purchasing. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a kayak or SUP.

I was looking for a Vibe kayak and could not find one anywhere. They put my name on a waiting list and called me as soon as they received a shipment. Their store has every accessory imaginable. It was worth the 4 hour drive to get everything I needed

I’ve been here multiple times, and every time the staff there have been awesome. I have bought a lot for my kayak, and they always steer me in the right direction. I have had the mirage drive serviced on my hobie, and they not only took great care of me, they gave me a loaner drive while mine was being worked on. The prices are great, and they have the best selection of kayaks in Tennessee.

This was a great buying experience for me and my family. We were not pressured at all into buying anything. We were free to browse their inventory, and the staff was very knowledgeable with any questions we had. They had a great selection of kayaks and accessories to look at.

Music City Outdoors is the place for your kayaking needs in middle Tennessee. We purchased a Hobie Compass (2022) and a few accessories. Greg and his staff were very knowledgeable and great to work with. He took extra time with us as we made our decision. We were able to borrow a model for a day and test it out. We had one small issue with an accessory, and Greg took care of the warranty claim without issue. If you are interested in kayaking, be it recreational or fishing, this is the place to go. Plenty of kayaks in stock (at least they were at the start of the season). As a heads up, these are not Walmart kayaks and this is not Walmart service. This shop is for those looking for better quality, personalized options, and outstanding service. Highly recommend!

These guys were very knowledgeable about what they do. Even though they didn’t have the kayak I wanted to see I felt like I was making the right decision when I get my new Hobie outback. And yes every accessory you need and loved the yak gadget availability!

My wife said she wanted a kayak. I said ok great. She said she wanted a specific one and she found it at a specific store...in Nashville area. We live 2 1/2 hours away in Cleveland so we agreed to go check it out on the next off day. Little did I know she had already been sending messages to the owner, Greg, and he has already set one aside for her to get. Upon finding this out I got jealous and said I wanted to look and get one for myself. So we planned the trip in my Nissan Rogue. Upon arrival and entering the store we were met with one of the most friendly and honest owners of any business I had ever met. Greg and his staff were amazing! We ended up purchasing 2 kayaks and an extra paddle. Problem was the Rogue only fit one of the kayaks for our journey home. Greg so graciously went above and beyond and enlisted the help of his son who enthusiastically volunteered to meet us in Manchester later that day to help us load up the second one. Who does this except someone that genuinely cares for the customer and exhibits true customer service to his valued patrons! If you are looking for a great local store that has some awesome options and treats the customer well better than they deserve this is the place! Thank you for your help and really going out of your way to make us feel valued! We will be repeat customers for sure!

I can’t say enough about Music City Outdoors. This is the ideal business that you want to use when purchasing a kayak. Family owned and operated, excellent selection of inventory, prompt and courteous customer service. And they delivered my kayak at no additional charge.

I had a wonderful experience with Greg and Charles! Greg came into the store on a Saturday to let my friend and I check out a Yellowfin 100 that we had been eyeballing online. He spent close to an hour of his day with us, explaining parts of the kayak, suggesting different places to take it, answering all of our questions!! Charles answered a lot of my questions about my car/the best way to transport the kayak. And when I purchased my boat yesterday, Greg spent time with us and really showed me how to securely keep the kayak on my car. It’s not so much about the kayak (which I LOVE), but mostly about their great customer service and knowledge. They are passionate about what they do, and it really shows. Thank you guys so much for everything!! I will definitely be back/direct anyone who asks, to you guys.

Simply the best experience I’ve had in buying a watercraft. I have three criteria in a watercraft, 1. The ability to stand up while fishing 2. The ability to attach a power pole later on, and 3. The ability to attach a fish finder. I contacted Music City Outdoors and let them know that I have bought five kayaks in about a year’s time. That I was tired of going online, reading all the specs on a watercraft, thinking, “this will work for all my 3 criteria.” Then I spend $500, $700, or $1,000 only to discover that it only met what I wanted on paper but not in real life. They allowed me to demo a Vibe Cubera. I had an amazing time and called them the next day to buy the demo. I didn’t feel pressured. But most importantly, I was able to try it before spending the money. One other thing, Music City Outdoors is connected to a company called Yakgadget. When I was there and I mentioned adding a power pole later, I was informed that Yakgadget has a gravity stake out pole. I was able to purchase what is essentially a manual power pole for a quarter of the price of a power pole. I couldn’t be happier with my purchasing experience. Oh, and I caught 3 rainbow trout standing on my new watercraft! Also yoga on a Vibe Cubera can be fun but be mindful of upcoming rapid spots or it can become funny.
