This is a fantastic little dive shop with lots of equipment and an excellent and friendly expert named Byron. He is very knowledgeable and does a great job at showing you the equipment you need. Will definitely be purchasing my diving needs from here. This shop is like a little slice of Florida right here in Nashville.

I completed their PADI Open Water Diver course yesterday and the experience was great. The course was planned very well, the instructors were thorough and pleasant, and the price was good. Most importantly though, I left feeling competent and having a deep understanding of the various principles and skills used in scuba diving, despite beginning the course as a complete novice. Also, the shop is conveniently located and the prices are great. I hope to go on one of their international dive trips soon. Good work Island Hoppers, highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful shop. The owner is one of the most friendliest people that I have enjoyed meeting. He was very helpful during my process of getting my licence. The instructors are very good and patient at what they do. I highly recommend this business.

This place is amazing! Yes, they carry lots of SCUBA gear but it's the people that make this place truly stand out. I met the owner through a mutual friend that knew I wanted to get certified. Rob and the entire staff were not only courteous, they were very knowledgeable and even kept me from buying items I didn't need, while also pointing me to items that were cheaper and simpler for my entry into this lifestyle. I do a lot of research before I buy gear. The staff saw my enthusiasm and lack of real knowledge and met me with a smile and a lot of patience. Even when I would call randomly about things I had no business even knowing (can I use this regulator on Trimix as an example). In the end, not only did I take my open water certification with them, I did my Nitrox as well and will be doing as many classes as I can with them. I have a few other places I can go that are far closer, but it's the staff and their willingness to steer you right, not most profitable, that makes Island Hoppers my favorite dive shop.

My boyfriend and I decided to pursue a dream of ours to start scuba diving. I cannot recommend island hoppers enough- Rob the owner and our instructor James are both amazing. I actually had an unforeseen anxiety attack during training (came out of nowhere!!) And they were so patient with me throughout the process. They will go above and beyond to make sure you have a positive experience. The shop is also very well priced, and theres no pressure to purchase- it is a very honest shop. I cannot wait to go on one of their tours- great people and overall a great experience!!!

The owner, Rob Harris, has been in the scuba business more than two decades and has developed a faithful following. Many of his scuba friends go back to the beginning of his career. It's because he is knowledgeable, honest, and he loves people. You rapidly go from being a customer to being a friend. Island Hoppers features the best in scuba gear and his professional staff are as good as any you'll find anywhere. Island Hoppers offers numerous travel opportunities to a variety of destinations and the shop and Rob have such a good reputation for a positive scuba experience that the trips book up quickly. Try them!

Best scuba shop around! Great equipment selection, training, service, and the best dive trips you'll find anywhere all at reasonable prices. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my diving needs in the Nashville area. I still book trips with them even after moving across the country that's how great Island Hoppers is!

What a great scuba place. Stopped in yesterday just to check out their selection and I can already tell you this is my new favorite Nashville Scuba Shop. As the previous reviewer said, the owner Rob completely "gets" what Scuba is about. I was there for almost 3 hours just talking and hanging out. Probably at least 5 other people stopped in while I was there just to chat and hang out as well. Highly recommended and very much looking forward to the social outings here and the trips with Island Hoppers! Great job putting this place together Rob!
