Amazing and knowledgeable staff! Cory was incredibly helpful. I am a complete novice and was trying to understand what to look for to get setup for snowboarding. His knowledge and the way he described and taught me about each piece (board, bindings, boots, helmet, and clothes) was more effective than months of googling, reading reviews, and trying to piece out what was important and what was not. I would highly recommend working with them and I look forward to working with this shop in the future!

We had such a great experience with Corey! He explained everything to us in perfect detail. Our kids used to be downhill racers but have moved into terrain park stuff. Picked up this bad boy almost a month ago. Zero buyers regret, even tho I’m very sore. Works great for what i wanted. Explained why I was in the market and how I would be using the board. With no previous knowledge on long boarding it fits my ride style well. Wheels were a great upgrade didn’t come with the original board along with the stickers 😆 absolutely recommended this place if you want something tailored to you.

Walked right in and was instantly helped. The young gentleman ( Will I believe his name is) that was helping me was very knowledgeable, well spoken and polite. He had suggestions and questions for me, seems like he truly was locked in on helping me, and not trying to over sell me or push me to something different. My son and I picked up a new skateboard deck for his birthday at Pinewski's over the weekend. The staff was super helpful with choosing a new board that fit his level and style. They volunteered to install the new grip tape and gave us tips on the best way to do it next time. Great experience! My son couldn't have been happier!

Very friendly staff available to ask if you have any questions. Great local business. Been serving customers since 1987. They'll help you and treat you more than just a customer. If you have any questions about skating/skiing(snow&water)/snowboarding etc, they'll have knowledgeable staff to speak with. Whether you're a beginner or pro or anywhere in between. Don't what to buy as a gift for someone while you're there? They have gift cards available as well.

I walked in today to have my cross country ski bindings repaired. I expected to have to drop them off and come back later to pick them up, but I was in and out in about 10 minutes. The first employee who helped me admitted his expertise was not in this type of ski, so he went to ask his co-worker for help. I can totally respect and appreciate that!! They were both kind and helpful. I will definitely come back when I need new gear! :)

I was having difficulty finding a new pair of ski boots that fit and had the features I wanted. After trying two other ski shops, someone suggested I try Pinewski's. Cory was awesome, very knowledgeable and spent lots of time helping me find the right boot. And then he took the extra time to get my custom insoles put in the new boot liners. I was living a lie, I thrash the park on my plank made with the finest carbon stringers off this realm but my boots were holding me back. For years I have rode boots a size too big, not knowing how much potential was being kept from my grasp. The all knowing lords of pinewskis educated me on boot fitting with a smile on their face and a glimmer of care in their eyes. I rode elm in the new boots…. It’s like I have been reborn, reborn into a new state of existence where performance is the gospel and the blasphemous is the comfort.

My brother originally recommended Pinewski’s when I was trying to buy my first longboard. He told me the people that work there are always cool, & they’d help me. He hadn’t lived in the state for years at that time. He was definitely right, everyone has always been really nice and helpful. First thing, I was pretty stoned :) :) :) Eric(hopefully spelling it right) and Cody are spectacular. The customer service is a testament to Pinewski's. I went in with two of my boards and one I have had for 7 years it is a Original Skate Drop Freeride 41" which I love with all my heart. Eric replaced the grip tape which made a tremendous difference with my ability to perform tricks to daily riding. He also found out that my bushings were not proper for the board. Someone at Zumiez(do not go there) put in skateboard bushings. I can report now that it has been a few days that the new ones have made a world of difference. Cody helped me with setting up my new board a friend made for me, we put on Paris V3's some Sector 9 icy blue 74mm wheels and the set up for that board is a supreme stable ride! Thank you Eric and Cody!!!

Outstanding service by Trevor at Pinewskis! We were in desperate need of some good ski boots for our child who has a very difficult foot to fit. After trying some local shops in California and not having much luck, I found Pinewskis online and spoke with Trevor. I sent him some photos and details and he was able to mold the boot and ship them to us in time for our ski trip. The boots were a success and no more complaints of painful feet! So refreshing to find someone so willing to go out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Although it was clear across the country, they serviced us better than a local place! I was also happy to support a Twin Cities business! We love MN! We will definitely be looking to purchase from them again!

I love it here, I have bought 5 long boards from here (ALL still work and run great) 3 loaded’s and 2 sector 9s, good team, same friendly faces and have good choices! I like how they’ll go the extra mile for you and help you out with what you need. I love my longboards and they are a fun time if you’re looking for a hobby, I’d go here to get my stuff sometimes pricey but it’s worth it

Gotta be the best ski/board shop in the twin cities. Been coming here since my teens for gear and have always had a great experience. The lads that work there are extremely knowledgably about the products that are offered. They always have the little parts you need for your gear. Was boarding a lost a screw in my binding, went to Pinewski's, got the screw, had them help me mount it, was out in 10 min and back on the slopes like nothing happened. Great place, highly recommend it.

This place is awesome! We were there on Friday, 6/26/2020. The gentlemen in this store were very professional and knowledgable. They were not all screwing around behind the counter ignoring their customers. These gentlemen set the example of how a skate shop should run. I didn't know anything about what I needed for my new long board and one of the guys helped me out the whole time. He explained everything to me and gave me lots of advice and tips. The Maple Grove REI didn't stock skiing equipment this year due to uncertainty over the pandemic. I was referred to Pinewski's and I was not disappointed. They are knowledgeable, informative, and have a good selection of equipment. They might not have cheaper prices than a big box retail store, but they also didn't bail on the public when the pandemic hit.

I wanted a drop through longboard but not sure what. The staff had the patience to let me stand on every board, I'm very picky with my boards. They talked me through their own likes and dislikes of each and then when I finally settled on a complete deck, the staff removed the hardware and sold me just the deck because I wanted to use my own trucks and wheels, they are awesome.

Always friendly, well informed service from the guys at Pinewski's. I'm impressed on how the switch their inventory from skate to snow each season. I hope one day they could help lobby Anoka to improve Rocket Park skatepark next door to them to support the skateboarding community that supports their business. Perhaps use their reach host some fundraisers, or demos, start a petition etc. Also, it would be nice to see their skate team featured on their website. This skate shop is full of helpful employees. The selection is not the largest but it is enough to be able to find what you need. The prices are a little spendy but that is to be expected for the type or business it brings in.

I only skate so this is really only the skate aspect of the shop but anytime I go here it always seems like someone is available to help you their skate selection is pretty huge and last summer I went there they had like 30 decks on clearance which you don’t really see more than like 3 or 4 at most shops, this place is awesome, it’s been around forever and I hope it stays that way!
