I was devastated when our puppy made my sons beautiful Rawlings glove a chew toy. I was not prepared to buy a replacement. I said a little prayer and found D&J glove repair in my search. I sent some pics and Jim gave me hope! Said he could fix it. I sent it off across a few states and he had it back to me in a week, repair price was very reasonable and he did absolutely beautiful work! Jim saved us and I’m so grateful! Will refer anyone who needs glove repairs to D&J glove repair 100%! Extremely satisfied customer and puppy is no longer in the dog house! (Though glove is kept up high and zipped up away from teeth!)

I emailed Jimmy for a quote on how much it would cost to repair my dad's 60+-year-old glove. He responded with great detail on how the repair process would work and told me his turnaround time was 10-14 days. I sent the glove to him and requested that, if possible, it gets back to me before Father's Day, which was a turnaround time half as long as he initially told me, but he got it done and back to me in time! I have a glove my father bought me in 1963 and I used it through all my playing days and coaching youth baseball with my sons for 14 years. It was then sent to the attic. In our recent move I found it and thought it was in unrepairable condition but a friend of mine said go on line and see if someone can bring it back. I found five or six different companies around the country that do glove repair so I sent photos to all of them. D & J was very prompt and professional and said they could definitely refurbish it. Sent them my 1963 Stan Musial glove that both my father and I used growing up. Playing days ended and the glove spent most of its time put up, except for those occasional A league games when you get a seat close to the first base line...Dad’s gone but the glove is still here and it was time to get her back into shape. New laces, logo, and a good recondition and she’s as good as she was in 1963. D&J did a fantastic job and I couldn’t be happier!

My daughter told me her glove was broken on Saturday afternoon with first games on Monday. I found D&J Glove Repair requesting a quote. Don't take your glove anywhere else- has repaired several of mine and most of my teammates'! Even had a glove that the manufacturer returned and said was unfixable- D+J got it done. Fair prices and they use authentic materials. He does have a day job so be patient on timeframe, especially mid-season. If you are lucky to spend some time in the mancave/glove shop, it is glorious!

They did tell me that it would be quick because they didn't have much work waiting. As a final step they conditioned the glove before sending it back. In anticipation of coaching t-ball I had my 30 year old baseball glove repaired. Not only was it impeccably relaced and conditioned (including some major palm cracking taken care of) it was sent back with a Wade Boggs all star business card. What I appreciated most however was that they kept the random knot repair that I did myself 20 years ago at the bottom of the webbing. It's one of those characteristics that makes my glove my glove. I almost asked them to keep that and didn't bother mentioning it. Somehow they knew.

It’s refreshing to see there are still businesses left in the US that have people who are competent, skilled at what they do, & provide excellent customer service. I have an old Rawlings Heritage Series glove that has been in my family for years. The glove has a lot of family history as my father used it, I used it, my eldest son has used it, and I’m excited for the day my younger sons will be able to use it. The lacing on the glove broke in several areas. I was afraid the glove has seen its last days when I stumbled across D&G glove repair on the web. The guys did a great job repairing the damage to my daughters A2000. Her dog chewed up the thumb and heel of her glove. Considering the extent of the damage I had really low expectations for what could be done with it. I contacted several repair companies and they all said there was nothing that could be done. When I talked to these guys they said it would be no problem at all. I shipped the glove to them along with a donor glove to make a patch with and waited. A couple of weeks later the glove was returned with the damage repaired better than I thought possible. Jim and Dom are on a level of skill that goes beyond craftmanship to that of being restoration artists! My heavily damaged high school and American Legion glove, an early sixties Wilson A2015 (Jim found and purchased a similar glove to replace the wrist strap), my mid-fifties Wilson A2940 glove that I used in Little League and a rare late forties, two-fingered Wilson are now all fully restored. The leather quality of those early Wilson gloves is outstanding and D&J made them--especially the old two fingered glove--as soft as they have ever been. Don't throw out an old glove! Turn it into a family memento like these three "Wilsons" from my past.

These guys did a great restoration job on my 1961 A2000. It included a new plastic thumb insert to replace the broken one, new laces on the whole glove, a leather wrist strap repair, and an oiling of the leather. The glove is now tight, not an old rag. Over the years, my glove had deteriorated to where it was becoming unusable - the lacing had dry-rotted, etc. Bought a kit and tried to fix it myself, which was a disaster. I discovered a Mantle MMP baseball glove in a thrift store in Delta, CO. I could tell it was a good quality glove made by Rawlings. The glove as in good condition but it looked like a dog chewed the end of the back strap off. Other than that, it needed restrung and rehabbed. Went on line and discovered D & J Glove repair and felt confident they could bring my glove “back to life.” Online instructions were simple and I boxed it up and mailed it. Within two weeks I was contacted that my glove was on the way back home. You can’t believe how excited I was when I opened the box! The glove looked amazing and the back strap, which I thought would be impossible to fix, was amazing as well. Being an old baseball player, I’m now 72, I just could not pass up paying $9.00 for the glove and with the professional help of Jimmy @ D&J, I will feel great when I find some young baseball player to give it to. I thought my Rawlings HOTH catchers mitt was a goner. Huge hole at the base of the pocket, crusty sweat everywhere. Jim was not phased. He took on the project. He opened the glove up, fixed the hole with new leather, conditioned the entire glove, and re-laced it. It feels like it was transported back in time to before it was broken in all the way! After calling all over the country I realized there aren't many good relacing shops. If you care about quality lace and having 1/4" lace in the web and 3/16" elsewhere, like it's supposed to be, look no further. Sent a Rawlings's Primo 1B mitt in and it came back looking a couple of years younger, including, surprisingly, some new hand stitching. Oh and they used that appropriate color, oxblood lace, which most shops can't get. If you have an expensive glove that you are leery about shipping off, do yourself a favor and send it to Jimmy.

In 1987, I got an A2000 for my 14th birthday. Used it all through high school, then packed it away. Didn't use it again until this spring when I started to help my son's little league team.
