I would give Capra's sporting goods store 100+ stars if I could. They are very professional, and their turn around time is amazing. My wife and I ordered a large amount of winter hoodies for our team and they showed us the design and once we approved they got started on the order. I was expecting to have some errors on our orders being that it was a large amount and the other vendors I had previously gone through always had errors here and there, but no we received our orders the exact way they needed to be. The quality of this order is amazing. I will never go through any other vendor. Thank you so much Capra sports

Recently went to Capra's to purchase Cowboy Action stuff... WOW the folks behind the counter were awesome to deal with... they helped me find what I was looking for... and placed a custom order same day. I received the call in under a week (basically what they said it would take) that my order was in. Went down to finish the deal... very, very satisfied with price and service. I met the owner Sam and he is a great guy to deal with as is all the other folks behind the counter.... in my opinion this place does not have your typical guys behind the counter... very personable and experts in the products. You cant go wrong stopping in at Capra's when you are looking for great gear and people!!! I haven't mentioned the product I purchased, not as important as the experience of buying from Capra's... go and fi9nd out all the cool stuff for outdoors they have!

So I dropped my bow last weekend from about twelve feet. The peep went flying (lost) and the lower cam and string packed with dirt. I took it to Capra's to verify it was safe. They inspected the limbs and string and installed a new peep. I am very impressed with the customer service of the owner, Sam and the ability of their archery tech Yang. Driving tacks at 35 yds once again. Thank you Capra"s!!

The employees at Capra's engaging, knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. The Gunsmith is top shelf. In 40 years of owning, buying and shooting firearms I've never met a gunsmith like Fred. Not only is he phenomenal at what he does he has a great sense of humor and that's a giant plus. He can fix anything and/or make it better than it was. I heard he's been gunsmithing for 30+ years. Well it shows. In my humble opinion, adding Fred to Capra's shop was a GREAT idea and kudos to the decision maker on that one.

I recently purchased a scope for my AR and had them mount it and bore site it. They are wonderful guys that work the counter and know their stuff. I felt I got great value for the money spent. Also, they don’t mess and do play by the rules. I watched them flat out deny a sale because of what they felt was a straw buyer. I will return because of the service I got, they deserve it!

Had a nice set of slightly used consignments. Little low on ammo, but who's not buying all they can during these times. Great staff, quality products. Screw the big chains unless you can get a better deal or what you want fast. But trust me, these guys friendly service will keep you coming back.

Just bought my second firearm from Jerry, He had to order it and I had it in about a week. The same great service and advice as the first time, and I don't think you can beat their prices. They make you feel appreciated and treat you like family.

Great place. Just bought my first bow here. Walked in with zero idea what I was doing, never really even held a bow before. They worked with my girlfriend and I for about two hours, time not including all the setup for the bows, working out what we needed and wanted for solid bows. Highly recommend going here. I think it was Matt that helped us out.

This store is great. Just getting back into fishing with my kids and the staff has been so helpful. Fixed her rod tip for free and have given tons of advice on bass rigs, knots, etc. The lady behind the counter is super friendly too.

It looks small on the outside but it's big inside. They have a lot of fishing and hunting gear. They are well stocked on firearms and ammo if you can't find any. Transfer fees were about $35, took less than 10 minutes. I'd recommend shopping here. 👍 …

Stopped in to have the gunsmith Fred look at a couple guns of mine. I just picked up 2 of the 3 today and I’m very happy with his work. Seems very knowledgeable and easy to talk to or talk through what you want done. Still waiting for the large work on the third firearm but he gave me the timelines when I dropped it off and I’m in no rush. His quoted prices were dead on, I am excited to have found out about Fred after my last smith closed shop.

I normally don’t write reviews but I was so impressed with this place I had to. I wasn’t even aware this place was here until I drove by it one day. I was on my way to a “big box” store just up the road from them to get a new bow set up. I passed not even thinking twice. At the “big box” store, I sat around waiting for about 20 minutes until I got fed up and left. That is when I thought I would just try Capra’s and see what they are all about. Turns out it is one of the best stores for hunting I have ever been to. Besides the prices being competitive, the guys in archery were amazing. I went in and right away was greeted by a guy in guns who then took me over to archery where I was helped by Jake. He explained the differences of the bows and I even got to shoot a few to test them out side by side. I ended up getting the NoCam. It was an easy and comfortable buying experience. I would recommend everyone stop in and shop there versus the “big boxes”.

Not a good place for archery gear. This is very much a hunting store and has little to no archery equipment outside of that. Was told they had decently priced arrows, but they replaced a carbon arrow with an aluminum one, and didn't ask or seem to care what kind of bow I was shooting. Again, probably good for hunting, but not for my interests in archery.

I don't usually find the need to do this, but felt I owe it to him. this weekend had a catastrophic problem with my shotgun at literally the worst time in the year to be down a gun. after a day of franticly trying to solve my dilemma, came across the gunsmith at Capras. I have NEVER had such good service anywhere in my life. this guy seriously dropped what he was doing to get me rolling again. and turned a 6 week warranty repair into a 1 day job. if you ever need your gun smithed, seriously go check him out.

Absolutely the best place for my fishing, hunting and firearm wants. I don't walk into this place expecting to be waited on like it's some fancy restaurant. I'm serious about my hobbies and outdoor interests. Good things often take time like a good fish strike or a rising rooster. I listen a lot when I shop at Capra's. I've often spent a 1/2 hour or more listening to the experienced employees of Capra's explain an item's value, sharing their actual experiences and offering assistance to others prior to anyone having the time to assist me. Kind of like taking a number but with a twist of valuable education. My experiences at Capra's has proven to be quite valuable when making decisions on equipment. There is no comparison to Capra's and the box stores. Yes, there maybe a few box stores with one/two knowledgeable individuals of whom you may have luck running into when you visit. But the next time you visit there, those individuals may have moved on. At Capra's the faces remain the same and attached to proven experience and a down to earth love for the outdoors. I love that consistency.

I had the pleasure of going into Capra’s this past week and purchasing a new Mathews bow! Despite being knowledgeable in hunting I knew my archery competency was lacking, therefore I checked my ego at the door, which wasn’t easy considering the person helping select a bow and get everything set up was in High school! I couldn’t have been more impressed though by the customer service that I received and was absolutely amazed by one specific employee, Ryland. This kid really knows his stuff and went above and beyond to help get me set up on my new bow! I will most definitely be going to Capra’s for all of my outdoor needs from here on out because of him! If you’re in the market for anything Archery, go see the kid! He’ll teach you a thing or two!

Great non big box outdoor store with a GREAT selection of fishing equipment. One of the few fishing stores in MN that caters to bass fishermen. Fantastic customer service as well. Has eliminated the need to go to Cabelas for me which is a needed change.

Gotta love the haters!!! Obviously the past review didn't even go to Capra's, not sure they even sell tents.. I have bought several guns, a bow, and fishing rods, reels, and tackle here for over 10 years. I came on here to write a review of my most recent experience as I was quite impressed.. I was running behind trying to get up north to do some bow hunting, but had 2 arrows, and a bow that hadn't been shot since last year. In a matter of time the staff had me all set up, back on the road, and it was light on the wallet. ANYONE looking to get their gear for hunting this fall, I would highly recommend a stop here. If you are unsure what exactly you're looking for, ask their staff as they all know what's best and won't try and sell you on anything you don't need!!

Best place to buy hunting gear in the entire state! I searched high and low all over the cities this season before purchasing my new Mathews Bow at Capra's. I was given a fair price on the bow but also got in during a sale and saved on accessories to go along with it. Best part was how knowledgeable the staff was. They answered all my questions and then some, their expertise in the field rubs off in the store and because of that I now feel like I got even more value on my new bow! I went to Capra's last week. I am getting back into archery and needed to replace everything I have. The guys at the archery counter were great. They had me test both Mission and Mathews bows to compare them. They even went up to the range with me and help me perfect my stance to be more comfortable when I shoot. I ended up getting a Mathews Creed. They even set it up for me. Got me everything I needed but kept it in my budget. they were extremely helpful. Steve explained why I should get this product vs another with actual real answers instead of any generic "sales pitch." I am definitely going to them for all my hunting needs.

These folks are great, they usually have what I need for all my hunting needs, I havent worked with the archery guys yet but have used their indoor range. Here is an example of what I mean, today I had my Beretta shot gun apart for cleaning but something happened and I couldnt get it back together so I called to see if someone could help me, the guy that answered the phone put me on hold for a few seconds and came back and said yep ask for Todd. I was there in 10 minutes and Todd took my gun and had to disassemble it a bit further to get it back together in the mean time I went to pick out some boxes of shells and he had it all back together and good to go, no charge for the gun repair and the shells are priced as good as any other place, Hats off to Todd and the crew over there, they can know for sure that they will always be my first stop.

I have been dealing with the people at Capra's for many years and have not ever had a bad experience. The guys behind the gun counter know there stuff and will never try to make you feel uncomfortable at anytime.They will teach what you need to know, not make you feel uncomfortable for not knowing. It is a lot more personal experience at Capra's then the big box stores. They will not set you down at a computer and leave you there to fill out your background check forms, they will be personable and talk to you the whole time to make sure you know what you are filling out. The great customer service does not stop there if you are looking for something and they do not have it they will look to see if they can get there hands on it for you. Hands down the best sporting goods store I have ever been into.

Capras is the best place for archery! I recently decided to try archery: compound bow. I went in to see what there is available and came out with a ton of knowledge! They measured my drawlength and explained differences in bows for hunting or competition. I ended up buying a bow online. When it came it was missing a kisser and release. It was also way too tight. I brought it in to Capras. Ryland is a competitor in archery and was so helpful and patient with me. He loosened up the bow and then spent 45 minutes helping me learn how to draw back! He helped me get the right equipment for what I needed now. He literally taught me how to hold the bow and to practice. Thank you Ryland and Capras for taking care of me and easing the intimidation I had about this awesome sport! I totally recommend just going in to talk to them at the archery station to learn more if you are interested in archery and how to be better at it! Capras and Ryland are awesome!

This place rocks. First off, they have the best selection of senkos. Their rod selections are a lot better than Joe's for those who have more money to spend. They have NRX,GLX,IMX. I think joes just has a few nrx whenever I'm in there. They even have megabass rods, dobyns, daiwa etc. Hell the first time i ever saw a loomis conquest was at capras lol. I have nothing against joes, they both have the same option of the middle tier stuff, capras has more higher stuff, where joes have more friendly budget outfits for the beginners.

I have been to Capra's 2 times and have called 1 time to ask a question. I am a hunter and my specific topic was bows. I also asked about rifles. Rifles - I was looking for a 7mm Rem Mag - they had 1 in stock but said they could order more. That seems so-so but it's not a popular round. Archery: 1st experience I was looking to see if they carried used bows (they do not) and look at prices for arrows. I was interested in Blazer vs regular vanes and a rude/smart alack reply. I asked "Why are they better?" I got "why wouldn't you use them"....what a pointless response. I asked about arrows, they seemed kind to explain some, but they weren't very knowledgeable. I research a TON online (not just forums btw) and they gave classic myth answers, not researched replies. They also seemed to be more worried about looking good than being helpful. Phone call wasn't helpful. Just frustrating. "Bring it in" 2nd visit for field points. I said I need 19/64" 100 Grain field points. They replied they had them in bulk. He reaches in the 9/32" bin and starts pulling them out. I confirmed that I needed 19/64, not 9/32. He replies "They are". He gave me 13 and said tell them it's $5 (a decent price). Got home and guess what, they are 9/32". (I have a $80 digital micrometer for reloading). Now, I've researched and 1) yes they are VERY close. and 2) the 9/32 is very popular and will likely work great. But why lie to me? I need a small bow repair and they are the Matthews dealer close by, I'm not sure I trust them as it just seems they talk big but don't know. I like Average Joes a TON better (way more kind and helpful)

They made a mistake at first, but owned it and turned the motor around faster that I ever expected.
