This place is a hunter, outdoor enthuasics, fisher, back packer, campers dream. They have everthing & then some for all of the above & more. There's sales on just about everything esp. spring, summer & fall things. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Lots to see. Lots to buy. Brightly light. Well labeled per section. Seated waiting areas with very nice leather lazyboy like chairs except the dont recline. But they are so comfortable there's no need. The bathrooms are clean. Very nice. Warm. Welcoming. They have beef, elk, boar & venison jerky's, beef sticks & more. A big aquarium. Lots of taxedemy( stuffed) animals from turkeys to black bear. Some items are $$$$ but they do have some good sales. Check it out.

Nice clean, huge store with nearly everything a sportsman could want or need. Sales / customer service staff were very friendly and helpful. Went looking for a specific life jacket that is available at a few of their competitors but hey had largest selection and best price. Like all large box retailers some items are very competitively priced yet some items are more expensive than competitors.

Because of the lack of workers - I was on the phone waiting for customer service to pick up (14 minutes - had to call twice cause initial call - someone hung up on me after waiting for 8 minutes) - would be nice to have someone pick up to let the caller know we're being cared for. After finally getting a hold of a live person - Kat helped me with an online order that was received broken. Met with her at the store shortly after, and was taken care of in a timely manner (with the amount of workers up front). Thank you for helping, and hopefully this reorder will arrive in one piece. Lol.

I'm not usually a Cabela's shopper, but they do have some camping gear that's in stock and some nice clothes for the colder weather season. For the most part all my photos are of their decorations, which are fun.

Great store. Helpful employees. Prices are sometimes a little high but you're mostly paying for convenience of shopping in one place. It's not too outrageous (couple bucks here or there) but still dropping a star due to it.

Used to really like Cabelas but since the merger with Bass Pro, it's not the same as it used to be. Was always interesting going through the bargain cave, never knew what you would find. That's gone now from most Cabelas. I was going to purchase a metal detector at the store and asked for one as the display boxes are empty. An employee said it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I came back, the detector was in the display box as it was the last one. The pieces were just thrown in the box with no packaging. I wanted to make sure it was complete so I checked the Cabelas website to check the pics. I found a 10% off coupon for in store pick up on the website while checking the pics. I asked the cashier if I could get the discount and was told it had to be ordered online to get the discount. So that's what I did as the discount saved me over $60.00 and I will get a properly packaged detector (which is important as I plan on taking it with me to South America). Just seems kind of silly getting penalized for in store shopping.

On occasions i meet my daughter here whe we are going to watch her dog. I live close to Roger's mn store. This is a nice place, clean bathrooms, pleasant employees and decent product selection. That said, there is no comparison to the rogers mn store.

Staff are always friendly and help me find or order everything I need. Plus this is just fun location to explore. I mainly get camping tools and supplies when shopping, but I always find something useful or fun to bring along on the next camping trip to enjoy with the family. The quality is always great and I have never had any issues with any of the Cabela branded items that I have purchased. You get what you pay for. The pricing for most of the other items I have purchased have been close to competitors as well. But if you hunt, fish, or camp you should be able to find everything you need or want here.

Talk about a free zoo for the kids! Not living animals trapped in small cages :) ha. Super sweet place that everyone should check out. Has so much stuff that you wouldn't think of. They even have a cafe and food. Clothing, sportsman things, and everything in-between. Would recommend!

Went to purchase a couple trail cameras they had a sale on. Although this was a quick moving item and there weren’t any on the shelves, Lexi helped find me some that had just come off the truck. Very helpful and friendly!!

Living outside of the big city, I had never heard of this place. Was totally impressed. Be sure to look up and see the animals hiding in the trees. I could see why my teen boys and the well rounded men would love this place. My single girlfriend's are planning on hanging out here on weekends!

Very full service spot for almost everything outdoors. Only things I'd say they don't have, in terms of outdoor stuff, is mainstream sporting goods. So it's sporting, but not like baseball, basketball, etc. I wasn't aware that the boat section on the west end of the building is actually a separate company that just does the boat sales and whatever. Always great variety.

Love Cabela's! They have a large selection of products for a variety of interests. Staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable!! Not to mention, they are pet friendly!!

Only a 4 star due to lack of staffing. Once someone was found to help with fishing reels, he was very knowledgeable. The managers were helpful getting me in touch with the right people instead of wasting my time and guessing about something they probably do not have much knowledge on. Overall, a 5 star experience, just understaffed.

Really neat place. Found some good deals and cute things. Way cheaper than scheels for some things (we only have scheels where I live). Boyfriend picked up some nice fishing shirts and clothes for a really decent price. They were out of stock of some things I found I wanted but I still got some neat souvenirs, cute hat and bracelet and some other things. And I loved the little penny press/souvenir machine!

Staff is pretty much always help.. Just a few things I'm looking for are pictured. Gun counter is pretty low on pistols, however most places are along with little to no ammo and they want an arm and a leg for it.

Huge for first time visitor. A lot of product on the floor. However, after a few moments it occurred to me that in the section I was in it seemed to not have as much of a great variety of product as much as it had very similar or same brand spread across the section. So in reality, not that much to pick from and I did not find what I was looking for.

I never shop for fishing rods before, I went in there and was overwhelmed. I looked one up online, it said it was in stock, but it wasn't. I never would have learned this if I didn't wait to talk to the sales guy, and there were a lot of people waiting to talk to the sales guy

I was in the camp stove fuel section, studying fuel canisters when a friendly staff person approached and asked “can I help you with anything?” He continued to answer my questions about fuel canister compatibility, fuel types, etc. Super knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and as nice as could be!

We wanted to buy my son some fishing gear, Cabela's has a large variety of items to choose from, from the inexpensive to the expensive, depending on your own preference. This was a good one-stop shop to get him all of the basics so we can do some fishing this year.

The layout feels a little strange, not very cohesive. And there are like 4 small shirts in the entire store. But I was able to find some good quality boots on my own, they may be a bit understaffed on weekends but all of their boots/shoes were on the Sales floor!

I always like shopping at this store. They are always well stocked with goods and the staff are knowledgeable about things when you ask them. I like the Colombia line that they carry. Its getting harder and harder to find and Cabela's in Woodbury always has a robust selection to choose from. The fishing area is the other area I get into and I'm always impressed with all the terminal tackle to choose from. You could spend a whole day here looking at everything. Thanks again folks.

I didn't have the paper ad from Fleet Farm nor did Fleet Farm advertise a guns price online I wanted to buy. Cabelas was $30 more. I told the guy at the counter & was ready to go but he said hold on. Called Fleet Farm and to our surprise they gave their sale price over the phone. Cabelas matched it then. Bought 3 guns, targets,ammo from here recently. Good experience. Great deal on a pair of waterproof hiking boot for $49. Shop quick on items like that as I've seen supply runs out.

It's a really cool store with lots of stuff, however it's near impossible to get assistance unless you're at a counter. And the gun counter is wide than most. I waited, after using the check in system, for ten minutes when I was the only one there. The salesman walked past me twice without even saying hello. Generally, the staff are courteous, however there are not enough employees to help you of you aren't at a counter or register.

Like most of the stores, this place is a destination. Absolutely massive. And of course the taxidermy is impeccable. I've noticed that they've added a lot more clothes, and that's been frustrating. Especially because a lot of it is closer to athletic or athleisure, which is not the market I'm in. They still have a solid selection and everything related to hunting and camping although it's being moved more into the corners or upstairs.

I purchased a Killer Instinct Crossbow that had a defective limb. The manager Brad told me to bring it in and they'd see what they could do. Kaylee their bow specialist brought out a new bow for me, put it together and we got it sighted in. Excellent experience. I can't express my appreciation enough!!

Went in for ice fishing tackle, to my suprise, they do not have what I usually get or see at other bait/tackle shops . Was disappointed, especially by their pricing, everything is 10-30% more expensive. You would think it would be the opposite due to being a huge company.

The staff was very helpful but told me that they didn't have the knife in store but I could buy it online. I'm very disappointed that the website showed they had it but really they didn't. They have a lot of stuff crammed into the store. It would be nice to have a little map at the entrance showing the different departments. It would save some time. Maybe they want us to wander around... anyway, everyone was wearing a mask and many people shopping and buying things. Extreme let down compared to any Bass pro or Cabela's that I have been to. This was the smallest with hardly any display. I would say it's okay as it still has what I was looking for (other than bullets) but who has that anymore. No clearance section that my wife would normally spend hours sifting through while I would make poor decisions and buy things that I don't need throughout the store. It could be that I'm from Missouri and visited the ones in Springfield and Kansas City frequently as well as the one in Memphis, TN but I believe that most of the products are much more expensive than usual. It's sad to say, but true that this was the worst one I've been to. On the other hand, there were the employees which were probably some of the kindest, accommodating, knowledgeable, and most helpful employees of Cabela's/Bass pro.

So much outdoor gear, I didn't know where to start. Tons of gift options too, from blankets to snacks, toys, kitchenware, rugs. Love the layout of the store, the outdoor feel, fireplace and waterfall display. Staff and costumers in masks, and everyone was helpful.

Decided to travel a distance because my local outfitters did not have the boots nor the size I needed. Kong was very helpful getting me the last pair of Wetland Muck Boots in stock. What really made me love Cabela's was the fact someone gets it and there was Seaguar Tatsu in stock! Brilliant move. Without a doubt I will be making the trip to Cabela's from now on. Not one of my favorites. I feel that Cabela's has moved away from Customer Service; no personal interaction with Sales Associates. My experience with Cabela's from years past to now leaves me with disappointment. Cabela's would not be my first choice if looking for outdoor & hunting gear.

He said take your time look them over and if you need any more help let me know. It's one of my best experiences I've had at Cabela's so far. And because of the good service I left with some product. Even though sometimes their prices are more expensive, I will keep coming back for the great service.

Love this super outdoor store. They are a bit pricey. If you are looking into purchasing an AR I do not recommend. The one I was particularly looking at was well over$2000.00. I found it the very next day for $800.00 cheaper! What a huge difference. I was pleased on how knowledgeable the dealers we're about the firearms. I was able to get some valuable opinions on different makes and models of some pistols I have been interested in. Overall I would definitely take the advice of the gentleman behind the counter but not do my purchasing there. There overall prices on everything are higher than in Wisconsin. But it's always a fun store to look around.

Cabelas is a very good place for people who enjoy the outdoors. The atmosphere is very nice and it is maintained very nicely. The staff here are very nice. If I ever have a question about an item they will definitely be happy to answer them. Even If I don't buy anything here I still have fun. And they also have fudge with free samples.

I think 3 stars is decent enough. I ordered an item and came to pick it up. I didn't know I have to wait 24 hours before I can pick it up but there was a reason for that which I understand. I came back the next day and waited in line for like a hour just to get my item. However, the customer service isn't so bad so it's fine with me. The email sent to me wasn't clear enough which makes it kind of confusing. Make sure to call before hand if you ordered something to double check.

Great store and the customer service is fantastic. If you're in the market for a new firearm seek out a chap at the gun section called 'Smokey'. This guy was a hoot to deal with- very informative and a pleasure to deal with, unlike other 'sales droids' at a couple sporting goods stores. I've been at this store a few times and each time the employees there have been great.

Cabela's employees are always friendly and helpful. This last visit was unusually difficult, from a return to purchasing archery license with bonus tags, ratchet straps that had two prices on them, help with trail cams, broadheads, broadhead targets and a new conceal carry pistol. Every employee from every area of the store were knowledgeable and courteous. Thank you Cabela's.

hope Cabelas keeps the name and doesn't switch to all Bass Pro stuff. i buy a lot of Cabelas clothes and gear because it also can refer to camping, hunting, outdoors stuff. a sweater with Bass Pro on it is something i would never wear. it doesn't sound as fun or universal.

I love looking at the gun section but they put crack head prices on most of the used firearms. For example, they had shotgun with a large crack in the stock and most of the blueing replaced by brown patina and lots of wear and it doesn't even have the original barrel yet they charge 360 some dollars for it when you know they probably paid 100 or less dollars to the person they bought it off. Every now and then you do find a used gun for a good price. Customer service people are nice, gun people are chill, some employees are about as minnasota introverted as it gets. 4 stars

Nice store but as fly fishing just keeps getting more popular, cabela's fly fishing sections keep getting smaller. I recall days even a whole corner of the store was dedicated to the sport. Seems counter productive to me.

Zach at the knife counter helped me pick one out that fits in girl pockets, easy to open, and with a good safety. Was super helpful and made me feel incredibly comfortable. Was also greeted at the door by a girl whose name I did not catch who walked me over to the counter and was incredible in helping me communicate what I was looking for.

This one is kinda small, but still nice. You can usually find all your favorites in any Cabela's/Bass Pro. Also, I like to look at the local interest items (fishing, hunting, etc) for that particular region. Always a joy, better with family and friends.

I've been shopping at Cabela's for years but I have to say my last visit there was phenomenal. Every time a staff member saw me looking at something and if they weren't helping somebody else they came over and asked me is "there anything I can help you with today?" Cheerfully!! (except for the 3 clerks in the hunting department who couldn't stop taking about hunting long enough to help me and yes they saw me 😒 so no I didn't find what I wanted so I'll buy that somewhere else) But back to the good stuff: When my arms got to full (imagine that 😀); a clerk found a basket for me, and yes I know that is so I have free hands to shop more but he helped arrange it so it balanced out - I thought that went above and beyond. The kid (in his 20's) manning the bargain cave actually laughed a real laugh; not a fake polite one when I said that I thought the bargain cave should be called the danger cave because the deals are so great - that was really nice. The clerks seemed genuinely happy & helpful, like they enjoyed being at work. Plus there was enough clerks staffed that I didn't have to search half the store to find one. I have been shopping a lot on line because I get frustrated when I'm in a store and the clerks act like I'm inconveniencing them by asking questions (like the guys in the hunting department 😜) but after yesterday's visit to the store I'm more than happy to make the trek in the cold to shop IN STORE rather than on line! 😀😀 The store was neat and clean, well organized, warm and very welcoming. As long as you know that they're more focused on the hunting and fishing aspect of the outdoors and not running and camping like REI, you'll know what to expect. My husband and I come here often. They always have what we are looking for. The staff are 90% of the time friendly, hence the removal of one star. The store is always clean and organized. I don't enjoy the people who ask us if we want to save money by opening up a credit card. We've had their card for 4 years, so it can be a bit annoying. Great location. Friendly staff. In store selection isn't so great, they have more floor space taken up with cloths than anything else. I remember the days when sports stores primarily sold sporting goods ( Hunting fishing Camping ) and had a smaller cloths selection. Not anymore at least not with this store. Memorial day weekend is 4 days away one of The biggest camping weekends of the year and the store doesn't even have a single tent on display. I think super Walmart had just as much camping supplies as this Cabela's, that's just wrong.

Cabelas is a pretty great store. They've got a solid selection of outdoor apparel, fishing gear, guns, and camping gear. The store itself has a pretty neat display with fish and stuff. My kids like it too. They had a Santa there for pictures and candy canes and such. It was a good time. They also sell toy guys, which we liked, but anyway, so we were walking around in the kids department and this lady was yelling at her son about not playing with them and what not, must have been shopping for someone else I guess. Seriously though, he's a boy, boys like toy guns, I wanted to tell her well just go get him some dolls or something then. I'm sure he'll want dresses and make up by the time he's 13 too. Sallies.

this is one of the smallest Cabela's I have ever been in. when it comes to hunting and fishing they have all the basics but a limited selection. their outdoor apparel is very limited too. wanted to find a men's Colombia coat and couldn't find more than 2 or 3 items all together, and everything else was a handful of strictly Cabela's brand and north face jackets. compared to other cabela's stores this one just falls below par.

Went here to get winter boots for my troop. Got Sorels for all three on clearance but only 1 rang up at the correct price. Cashier fixed it promptly. My kids loved the taxidermied animals and the fish. Everyone was very friendly as my feral children grew sick of trying on boots and one of my daughters received a response for every, "hi, what's your name, do you work here?" that she asked.

Cabela's is a great place to pick up hunting, camping, and outdoorsy activities. I love their stores. It's like going into a museum and you get to see all this wonderful stuff, even though your shopping. The reason for four stars was the lady that was keeping count of people going in and out (this was during Covid 19) seemed like she wanted to be anywhere, but there. She just had a bit of an attitude. When you're in a really good mood and someone (like her) isn't and they treat you subpar, it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. As Cabela's go, this is one of the smaller stores when you compare it to something like Owatonna. Still a really nice store, it just feels a bit cramped. Staff is friendly and helpful and full of knowledge. The animals displays are really neat too. Highly recommend to keep your children away from the cork guns as these are the most annoying things to hear throughout the store.

I used to work at a different Cabelas location and after Bass Pro took over, we had a lot of trash products on our shelves. I have yet to notice such a drastic difference at the Woodbury location. The store has such a nice layout to it, it’s always clean, and the employees are always friendly. I rarely shop at Cabelas now because of the whole Bass Pro takeover but this location is an exception.

I usually don't write reviews but I Had such a great experience shopping for a hand gun at Cabelas, Smokey the gun associate was very knowledgeable about all the choices. ( I looked at them all) he was patient and you could see that he had a passion for what he does. I shopped the price and Cabela's had the best prices. I came in the next day and bought it. I did want to buy another gun for my wife so I called Smokey to see if they had what I wanted in stock. they didn't have it but he looked and found it at another store and is having it shipped to the Woodbury store. He also found me a Crimson trace laser for my gun that I had just purchased. I had a nice experience with the other sales associates but Smokey stands out as a great employee! He made it fun to spend money.

The counter was plenty busy but a very nice young man freed himself up and spent the next 30 minutes showing me the difference between the brands. They have most outdoor stuff. If you need a regular rubber plug for your boat, order one online or check a bait store. You can't get one here. UPDATE: Looks like they have remodeled and increased their boat supplies.You can get a boat plug there.

I hate to only leave three stars but I have been going/buying from Cabela's since the 70's I've visited all Cabela's in Mn. and others outstate but I just don't feel comfortable in this store. Employees seem like they are doing you a big favor being here. I hoped when Bass pro bought them they would change things. But that hasn't happened. WILL NOT purchase from their Power Sports dept. over a bad experience 3 years ago. If I have to make a large purchase I will go to Owatonna or Rogers.

LOVE Cabela's in Woodbury Mn.! We went to Cabela's to buy a pair of tennis shoes and walked out with a brand-new Lowe's pontoon boat! The sales team was excellent, they were not pushy, we literally walked out with a brand new boat within 1 hour! We've had many great times on this boat! Plenty of room with 4 grandchildren, and the bimini gives excellent shade cover. We are on a river in northern Wisconsin where there are two low bridges that we have to lay back the bimini when we go under them. This bimini is super easy to lay back and set back up when we get to the other side. Lowe's engineers for their pontoons really went above and beyond in every little detail! Our sun deck pops up where there is tons of storage underneath. Every seat also has plenty of storage under them, and the ladder is high end! Lowe's pontoons are very comparable to the Premier brand pontoon, yet the Lowe's pontoons are definitely a better bang for your buck! Thanks again to the AWESOME sales team in the Boating section at Cabela's Woodbury Mn!

This is a great place for Niantic based augmented reality video games. I play Wizards Unite and this place has 5 inns, a fortress and always lots of foundables. All I have to do is drive around the building and I can complete most of my daily tasks for the game. They get excellent ratings for that, but I have never actually found anything in the store that I wanted to buy, finding it a little overpriced.

Took my 4-year old to meet Santa for the first time, I believe it was on Nov. 27th around 7:30 pm. Granted it was early in the season and a little later in the evening, he was the only kid that was there and got his very own private meet-and-greet with Santa. They gave him a free pic w/Santa, wooden puzzle to color, stuffed reindeer, flashing fidget spinner, and candy canes. Pretty awesome for free :)

Cabela's in Woodbury is my go to for all my ammunition needs. Their prices are in line with Fleet Farm and maybe a bit more than Wal-Mart but I know with Cabela's they will have what I need. I was in here about a month ago buying my new rod and bait caster. The baitcaster on display had zero inventory. I asked help from 2 staff and both said "that's all we Have" and walks off. Didn't even bother to look. Mason, one of the workers there came up to me after awhile asking me if I needed help. I took a shot and asked about the bait caster I needed help on. He checked the inventory and found out it was one of their new products. He went to the back right away and after 5 minutes brought back the exact model I was looking for. Fantastic customer service. I wished the other two employees wouldve done the same but we all know that would be make believe. 5 star for mason. Zero stars for the two lazy workers. Mason is the man. Thanks again.

I went in today around 5pm thinking I would just run in and run out. Well not so much... The place is like a big toy store for adults. Great products, great return policy, and knowledgeable curious staff. Its know wonder I have a Cabelas Black Card. I have another sporting goods store(G.M.) within 10 min from my house and I refuse to bring them any of my business. Its not that they don't have things that I would use, but I can't stand wandering there barren isles searching for staff to answer a question, and upon locating someone having them act like its an inconvenience to assist a customer.
