We have been shopping here for cross country and track shoes for years! Best selection of youth running shoes locally by far. We have always been helped promptly and professionally and the employees take time to get to know the customers. Now that they know us, getting new trainers for my teenager literally takes 15 min or less!

I was last in on Black Friday. I bought a pair of shoes and took them out later that day for a run. It took about a quarter mile to realize that they weren't going to work for me. I was able to swap them out for a different pair, no problem. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Can't recommend them enough.

Great selection of shoes and just about every thing running you'd need. This was my first experience at Swags and as you can see I did walk away with a pair of shoes. The shop has an excellent selection of running shoes, likely the best in Louisville. They have all kinds of other gear like clothes, packs, socks, gels, etc.. the staff were really nice and welcoming, the shop was clean and well organized, and prices were pretty on point with anything you'd find online. No complaints about selection, customer service, or prices. So why 3 stars? A couple reasons. The first being the biggest, not a lot of area to "try" out the shoes. I was told I couldn't touch the asphalt as this would scar up the shoes and make them unable to be sold. I was pretty shocked as when I have shopped for my last couple pairs of shoes I was given the option to run as far and as long as I wanted wherever I wanted. This was of great benefit due to really trying to make sure you get a shoe that you can wear for 300+ miles without any aches pains or issues. I was at least allowed to run up and down the sidewalk area (~.05 miles) as much as I wanted though. The other complain I have is if I am unhappy with the shoes. They pretty much said unless they're in mint condition I'm stuck with them if they don't work out. Again at the other shop I had been buying from I had 60 days to decide if I liked the shoes or not. If I didn't then they'd swap them out for a pair I did. I understand this warranty is pretty uncommon for shoes but it was kinda lame that they didn't have anything better than "sorry you're stuck with them." I'm sure you're asking "so why the heck didn't you go to the other shop you've bought from?" The answer is they didn't sell Altra shoes which was the brand I was wanting to test out. As I said I ended up leaving with a solid pair of shoes. The staff were helpful and welcoming and prices were great. My suggestions is coming up with some test shoes for customers OR getting a treadmill for runners to to test shoes out. Good shop!

I really like the personal service you receive at Swag's. I tried on four pairs of shoes until I found the perfect one for my workouts. All the while, the shoe fitter patiently waited for my assessments. You might wait a bit for an available staff member because the store is always busy. On the other hand, I never felt rushed when it was my turn to be fitted.

Went in for 1 pair of Brooks and the lady showed me a newer more comfortable pair. They didn't have my size in stock so she ordered them to be delivered to my house and about 2-3 days later I have a new favorite shoe. May have to go back and get another.

A terrific selection of running shoes across several brands, including stability, wide, and trail running options. Attentive and informative customer service. No pressure to purchase but I opted to buy two great shoes. This is why I always prefer to shop at independent stores with staff that know their products and value their customers.

Loved this play. First time in here and the staff was so awesome and caring. I came in with terribly torn up feet. Blisters upon blisters. The gentleman took extreme care of my feet while bringing me out couple different pair of shoes suited for my feet. Walked out with the best fitting pair for my feet. I've gone here for my past four pairs of running shoes and had a great experience each time! On my most recent visit, JC seemed to be super knowledgeable about the mechanics of each type of running shoe and worked with me to find a new shoe for my ankle issues. He was patient and allowed me to run outside wearing each pair. They even have a great policy of allowing runners to come back into the store if the shoes they sell to them don't work out. Swag himself has been helpful in the past and the prices are always reasonable. I don't usually see Swiftwick socks at sporting goods stores and the like, but Swag's carries specialty items like those too.

Called about a specific shoe and was told they had a sz.11 to try on. Drove 45 minutes to try them, needed a 10.5 instead. Mike orders me a 10.5 and a week later I get the call to pick them up. Miscommunication with Mike T. apparently because another men’s size 11 is what he ordered. Why order what is in your hands? Unable to reorder me the correct size in time means I will now not have the shoes for my next hike in Colorado, where I needed them the most. Wasted a few hours, $$ in gas and a headache of not having my shoes for an event. I have bought from Swags in the past but this has made me rethink my trust in their ability to get me what I need.
