The archery department is amazing. Dallas helped me get my new bow set up and paper tuned. He was super cool and laid back, answered my questions, offered advice, and really made the experience amazing. It's nice to have a real bow tech here in town who hunts and shoots competitively. Win win

A very large and beautiful facility here in Louisville KY. The staff behind the gun displays are very friendly and welcoming. They also answer any questions I have about the firearms I am interested in. Other than that, the reason this is not a 5-star company, is that they do not answer back on emails or messages through their social media handles. Why would you have a "contact us" tab when no one reaches back to you? I will still buy from KY GUN CO because they sell the firearms I want at a price us citizens want to pay.

But I found it at KY Gun Co.; even better, they also had the best price that I could find online. I made the purchase and KY Gun Co shipped it fast. I thoroughly enjoy coming in this store. Even if I don’t buy anything it’s nice to come into and browse/get ideas/see new stuff. I found a really nice B&T APC 556 I needed and was happy with the purchase. Staff were kind and friendly and made sure I had no questions when I did get to talk to them. I saw one woman in there checking the guns on the racks had their price tags faced outwards where customers could see and I loved that. One thing that I *really* cannot stand about this place though is the ticket system. when I go in and it’s not busy and all the clerks are just standing around (seemingly doing nothing, maybe I’m wrong I don’t know their training but) why do I still have to take a ticket for staff to approach me. It’s almost as though staff are instructed to not make contact first. Just kind of annoying, makes me feel like I’m bugging them by pulling a ticket to be waited on. I also think that the credit card fee is bogus. It’s 2022, KYgunco is 100% being charged a monthly fee for the credit card processing even if they don’t use them (I would assume), and if credit card processing fees are that high they eat in your profits that much you need a new provider or processor. I own my own business and sell high ticket items on a daily basis. I don’t charge credit card fees. My cash price is same as my credit card price. Edit: I had the GM of KYGC reach out to me and explain that staff are trained to make contact first. While that was not my experience the particular day of writing this review, I have visited twice since and was greeted by smiling faces and people eager to help. And I greatly appreciate that. The GM that contacted me also apologized and explained that there are no more CC fees at KYGC. That’s huge. I don’t carry a ton of money around and don’t carry checks. It’s more convenient to get points on my card and just pay it off when my statement comes in. I will continue to be a KYGC patron and am glad we have a good 2A outlet in KY.

Louisville now has the best gun shop in town. I have been driving to the Bardstown location for years because Kygunco is by far the best one stop shop in the state. Whether it's ammo, magazine, parts firearms or hunting supplies, Kygunco will have it at the best price hands down. The workers here are very knowledgeable on everything they sell. I was asked numerous times if I needed any help or assistance. Best gunshop in the state!

Great addition for Louisville! The staff was the most helpful I’ve experienced in years! As I was shopping, 3 different staff members (in colorful shirts) asked if I needed any help finding what I was looking for and they even made suggestions on additional options in a different area of the store. This level of customer service is why I’ll keep going back and the prices are really good too! If the owner or manager is reading this, I’d give you 10 stars, if I could. Your staff culture and customer attentiveness is well beyond other sporting goods brands in Louisville.

Went in looking for a trigger for my firearm build after it showed in stock at thier location from their website. Took a number from the check in for assistance as this store is massive and so much to look at! Within 5 min a staff member walked up to me and assisted with my selection as well. Good selection even with inventory shortages. The knowledge of some of the staff behind the gun counter was lacking, however. First employee to help us gave good effort, but he had nearly zero knowledge of firearms & optics (didn't realize rifles could be right or left handed, was unfamiliar with calibers, etc). This could be dangerous for an unsuspecting consumer.

I’ve been using this company since they were Keenes Depot in Bardstown KY when it was such a small shop Patrick sold me my first silencer there could’ve taken advantage of me and price me something more than I needed but the Guardian 22 (back in the day) was a great starter can for someone first getting into the process. Then they built the KYGUNCO in Bardstown and I love it amazing people and selection and price. Now they have the Louisville KYGUNCO and I have two silencers that are in the NFA jail now that I’m waiting on but they have state of the art facilities and the nicest staff and environment I’ve ever been in. Both branches are great but since I live in Louisville I’m using this one more but their Class 3 department is by far the best Nicole has the patience of a saint and I consider her a friend and KYGUNCO my ONLY GUNCO I’ll ever use again. 10 STARS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Grand Opening. I could still smell the paint on the walls. Large open area and well lit. Shelves still being filled. No muzzleloaders or reloading supplies yet. Hope they come. Smaller than the one in Bardstown. On a funny note..... Of the 60 or so people I saw only one other person wore a mask. In Kroger yesterday every person but 2 wore a mask. Still trying to figure that out. 🤔

Large selection and competitive prices makes KYGUNCO a solid choice when looking for sporting goods. Knowledgeable and honest staff make it a first rate choice. Was looking at a braced 9mm around Christmas, the employee warned me of impending ATF regulations on braces knowing it would likely dissuade me from my purchase. With service and honesty are valued above sales, KYGUNCO will be my first destination when looking for a new gun.
