These guys take care of business and always provide good customer service. Although they do sell firearms, it seems they have primarily shifted to transfers and facilitation of private sales. They do have a very good selection of ammo and reloading supplies. Anglers will find a great array of lures and fishing supplies, as well.

I bought a used stainless Ruger 1911 tactical here for a fair price. I was buying to celebrate an occasion, told them I wanted something interesting but I didn’t know what. The guy helping me has good taste haha. I’ve also transferred two firearms I purchased off the Internet. They were nice about it and charged a reasonable transfer fee. I made sure to buy some ammo when I do transfers since they’ve got some of everything, even obscure calibers. Thanks guys!

Great guys over there. They worked with me on ordering a Benchmade 940 knife there after I returned a different knife I received as a gift. I always stop in on my way to the range and get ammo without issue. Selection is great for the size of the store.

If you're looking for guns, ammo, tackle, archery gear or a whole lot more, this is the place to be. I know I'll be back again soon, and I'm already looking forward to the experience!

New to Vermont and found this shop looking for local dealers for a gun I️ was looking at online. When I went there to ask about it, it turns out they had the exact one I️ wanted on hand in the back, for a great price. Very cool place and very fare. I️ will plan on going there for my next gun for sure. One of very few gun shops I️ have ever been to that I️ feel is run by honest employees and owner.

These guys are great! They sell good products at fair value. They have always called me back if needed to in a timely manner. One important thing that may get overlooked is how in tune they are with current politics concerning our gun rights. I am quite confident that they have our interest at heart all day everyday.

Car broke down in their lot last night. Talked to two people inside who were nice enough to let me leave it there for the night so I could get it towed to a shop in the morning. They left a note for the morning employee so he would know why a random car was sitting there. Call him up in the morning and he said he had it towed. In a panic, I ask "Are you serious...?" He replies.... "No." What was a brief moment of panic turned into a good laugh which is something that was very much needed in this stressful time. Everyone I talked to was super nice and understanding. For that alone, I would give them 5 stars but when I broke down, I also got a look inside their shop. They got an awesome selection. Not much of a hunter but I will definitely be back for some fishing supplies! Thank you for the hospitality and help!

Jimmy is a real straight shooter - in every way. Many years ago I tried a few other Chittenden gun stores before I found Dattilio's. Those others were all cookie cutter and business like. Jimmy on the other hand goes out of his way to help you, both before and after the sale. He has taken time to show me a full array of products, expanding my horizons as to what's available. He even helped me sell an item that turned out not to be right for me, and help me find the replacement that fit my needs. He and his dad are a gentlemanly team (and his pop has got a great sense of humor). Dave is also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Can't recommend this place enough. It's old school in the best possible way. God bless you guys, you're great Americans.

Small, but honestly I don't know how a lure or other fishing item could exist and not be represented here. They have EVERYTHING. Floor to cieling and dangling from the cieling, every inch of this shop is packed with critter slaying merch. I'm thinking of saving up to get me one of those crossbows.

I have been here one or two times. Bought some ammo. Then I purchased a barrel and reciever. I needed a FFL place to pick it up. We r working to get order. They had some trouble with recieving FFL. Must of got it cause on way! Now WAITING GAME, for it to arrive and go in sign some papers show ID take my baby home.

The guys here were kind and very knowledgeable. I bought some broad heads for archery season and some home defender rounds for my personal concealed weapon. Lots of options to choose from for archery, knives, fishing, and gun products.

Jim and his staff are top notch! I started shopping there around Thanksgiving and they have taken care of me every time I walk through the doors. They are extremely knowledgeable on everything they sell and take time to help a customer like me understand the differences in their products. They don't talk down to me. They help educate me. I have to pass by several other stores and it's worth it. I strongly recommend Datillio's to all my friends.

I have know Jimmy & Vince since the mid 1980's when I pumped gas for them them and Jim worked on cars in the bay instead of selling guns and tackle. (Well, he was selling it out of catalogs in his toolbox when Vince told him to just close up the bay and make a business out of it.) Well, fast forward and Jim has made a lot of people happy and supplied a lot of hunters and fishermen with excellent quality equipment, at great deals, while maintaining a genuine Vermont "General Store" type of business right on busy Rte 7, next 189. I have returned time and again to visit and sometime buy or swap stuff there. Jim has truly been a great source of help for many wives, mothers and girlfriends too as they shopped for gifts for the guy in their life who otherwise might have ended up with a gift certificate and instead got a gift they ended up really enjoying. Talk about a service that you find very often these days for guys and women like that! I would stop in and give the place a look, it isn't polished, and might look a little different than your traditional sporting good store, but I promise you won't forget it!

Was first shown Dattilios from my old friend Ryan Benoint. First impression was a good one. I got the feeling that I walked into an underground gun, fish and tackle den. A couple years later I worked for UPS and used to stop in almost everyday with supplies and firearms for them. Back then I promised them I would buy a rifle which didnt happened until about 5 years later this week. Still going through a background check but once this deal is done I'll definitely be buying more from these guys. Its stores like this that make Vermont the place it is.

They always treat us well. Ordering there is super easy. They also accept orders from online gun shops. So if you see something online you cant get around here you can have it sent to these guys.

This is a great outdoorsman's shop. It may be the type of place easily overlooked. It might even deter a customer by its appearance as a locals hangout. While it may also serve that purpose, it doesn't keep the owner from providing excellent service to all patrons. You don't feel like an outsider, even when the boys are just hanging around, which they always seem to be :) Maybe it is a "best kept secret" for a reason. But, I'm glad I discovered it.
