Dr. S and his staff are amazing! Finally a Doctor that really knows about Lipedema and does not just say oh your fat lose weight. He really took the time to get to know me and wanted to know all about my legs and the issues I have had all of my life from them. I am really looking forward to my upcoming surgery because I know without a doubt it will be successful and that I am in great hands! His staff is amazing as well. I highly recommend traveling to see him if you are wondering if it is worth it. Believe me it is!!!!!

I really enjoyed my visit today. The Dr. and staff were warm, friendly, welcoming and made me feel comfortable/familiar. I managed a Drs. office for 16 years and this is how I always wanted our patients to feel. I never felt like I was being "sold" anything. Just honestly giving me my options, recommendations with no pressure. I would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Non-cosmetic WAL for Lipedema. Dr Shapira and his entire staff were absolutely wonderful. They addressed all of my questions and concerns before, during, and after my procedure. Nothing was ever rushed, and no amount of questions were too many. They kept me as comfortable as possible and were fantastic about following up to check on me post surgery. All of the staff was willing to answer any questions that I had about my aftercare. I appreciate each and every one of them!

It has been a year and a half since I have been going to this spa. The confidence and transformation that the doc has provided are amazing! The staff is so wonderful, it is like they are a family. If you have a realistic expectation for what you want to achieve, trust first state. UPDATE still AMAZING I can not imagine going anywhere else. They are always bringing in new products at great prices and make you feel so cozy and at home.

While everyone was extremely kind, I very much regret spending as much money as I did on the laser lipo a little under a year ago. I have weird uneven fat deposits mainly above my belly button more so on the left now even with my consistent exercise and diet. It was also extremely extremely painful, I was crying nearly the entire suctioning part of the procedure and had to take more Xanax and Percocet during and also needed to be re-numbed multiple times. The laughing gas also did absolutely nothing for me, personally. Recovery for me was also not as easy as the website said whatsoever. I unfortunately wasn’t able to workout for 2 months because I still had a lot of pain in certain parts of my abdomen. Although I have a bit more of an hourglass shape, I have become even more unhappy with my body than before because of the odd uneven fat throughout my stomach.

I had laser treatments done from them. They have a lovely spa and everyone was very helpful and caring to go over everything with me, listen to my concerns. Etc. also never were pushy about anything which I have found in other spas. Overall 5 stars for Great service, caring staff, nice value and I liked my results.

From start to finish they were all very kind and the Doctor is quite friendly and knowledgeable as well. The office is clean and I feel that the prices were very reasonable. My appointment was fantastic. The entire staff was super friendly, professional, and helpful. The doctor has a great sense of humor and such a warm demeanor. He makes you feel comfortable and answers all of your questions. I never felt rushed or pushed to buy anything. The prices are completely reasonable. I am usually not the type to write reviews but this place is too amazing. I look forward to every visit I have had with them. Tara is so kind and helpful with explaining how everything is going to work and being a person of color she made me feel comfortable getting laser done. I have had consultations at many other medical spas in Delaware and they have all said they were too worried to work on my skin because I have a darker complexion. If you are a person of color and are seeking out a medical spa I definitely recommend First State Med Spa.

All of the staff were very friendly and professional. They talked to me about different options they felt would work best to fit my needs. I never felt pressured to have any procedure done. First the enviorment was welcoming,comfortable and well manicured with products and examples of services offered, classy and chic! This was my very first experience at a Med spa and it will not be the last. Donna was PHENOMENAL! I am African American and I know my skin needs are different so sometimes I'm scared to try new things. Donna gave me great deal of info that educated me on how to tweak/create a routine works best for me and not some random instructions on the back of some random cleanser. Highly recommended for ALL skin types! She's a great esthetician, she made me feel super comfortable and confident about my appearance (something we all want)👏🏾

The office is comfortable, the rooms are cozy, and the staff is amazing. The knowledge is there and shared with you. You will be surprised with the amount of time they spend with you. Their consultations and visits are for your personal best with the least amount required. My experience felt natural and I trust their advise. I am currently trying the IPL, which saw a change after one and will be trying microneedling. (Jennifer is awesome!) "Less is truly more", and possible, when you have the best working for you. It has been 6 weeks since I completed a skin care package and can say my results are amazing. Definitely turned back the clock and I barely wear makeup. I did a combination of IPL, microneedling, and hair removal. I have stuck to the basics with cleansing and have found my skin to be better and has retained the glow. I am looking forward to continue on a maintenance plan shortly. In addition I plan to return for all my future consults and needs. Jennifer, THANK YOU. Dr. Shapira is so knowledgeable! I told him I get really bad migraines and he looked at me and realized I grind my teeth really bad and that could be giving me migraines. He injected botox into the muscle and I have been mostly headache free since!! I also received the SmartLipo treatment. It was amazing! I have lost 3.5 inches around my waist/ love handle area, and I love the way my clothes fit me now! And Liz is amazing with skincare. Her facials are the best thing ever! I love this place and will definitely be back for more!

Especially a member of the team that really works behind the scene, Stephanie. She is an absolute angel. Wow this Spa is Amazing. I have been a client at first state vein and laser for almost two years and I have not been anywhere else. Like anyone else I love the sun. Tanning, etc, however now that I'm 26 years old I have sun spots and acne scars. I never even wanted to leave the house without putting makeup on. I was terrified because I was getting ready to compete 4 months away for the Miss Earth Title. My aunt who also is a client, suggested the spa, to try and see if there is anything they could do for me. YESSS. They had an LHE Machine, also known as a photo facial. It was a laser machine that literally vanished my scares, and my skin tone looks perfect. I now where no makeup and only sunscreen. Thank you first state vein and laser.
