I came here to VA for vacation and decided to get a haircut while here. I had extremely long hair and was super nervous about cutting it off, this shop was LOVELY. The desk lady was sweet and they got me (a walk in) back super quick. YALL! This was the best shampoo/massage I’ve ever had in my life! Unfortunately, I didn’t get the lady’s name that cut my hair but she did absolutely phenomenal. After working a whole hour on my hair, cutting over a foot off, and working her magic I had the biggest smile on my face! I would absolutely recommend this shop for a drastic cut. I still love my chop and I get comments often! Thanks guys!! 😁

My husband and I had a 60 minute couples swedish massage with Princess and Belinda. It was amazing!! Both did a fantastic job!! Their hands never stopped working the whole time. We felt so wonderful and relaxed!! This will be part of our vacation every year!!

Every year for my birthday, I treat myself with a weekend trip to Virginia Beach. In my endeavor to maximize relaxation during my visit, I decided to pop in to Spa @ 31st a few years back. It was just across the street from my hotel. It was an amazing experience and I have come back every year since! Scheduling services is super easy (the website is very informative) and the mood inside the salon is pure Zen. I've had the eminence facial, vital C facial, body wrap, manicure, pedicure and I've had the eyelash lift and tint. Every service I've gotten has been performed with great care and detail and the estheticians and massage therapists are top notch! On my most recent visit, I had the yin combo with the nourishing head spa, aromotherapy, jade stone brush and massage. 2 hours of bliss! I highly recommend Diana! Her hands are magical! Pay them a visit, pamper yourself and support local business!

My fiancé lovessssss this place! Her hair stylist is excellent. It’s a little price(it’s right at the oceanfront,so they get a lot of tourists I assume). But any GOOD stylist will coat $150-300 depending on what you want done in this area. We will always go here for her needs. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new place! If you work/worked for Hilton, you can get a discount with your rewards as well!

The staff was incredibly friendly. We had massages at another place that cancelled on us as soon as we got to VA beach for the day. We were enthralled to learn that Salon @ 31st does massages. I had a much needed girls day at this spa. It was great! Nicely decorated and clean. I received a prenatal massage by Belinda which was by far one of the best massages I've had!! And I get them fairly often. I also got a mani/pedi by Tammy and she did a great job. Everyone was nice and accommodating. We ladies enjoyed ourselves and look forward to visiting again soon!

Purchased a package for my mother during our little getaway. She reported that her services here were "absolutely amazing". She is a chronic lower back pain sufferer and said she had no pain for the rest of the day and the whole next day. Not to mention the oil and foot treatment. She loved it!!

I have been a client at Salon at 31st for 15+ years, for hair and nail services. I recently had permanent make up applied for my eyebrows. I LOVE them, I finally have well defined eyebrows w/the perfect arch. I loved them so much that I returned to have permanent makeup for my eyeliner applied. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Recently a friend commented about my make up being done before breakfast, and how good it looked, I told her about Kim and the permanent make up process. She made an appointment that very day and loves hers as well. What a time saver, don’t even need any other makeup most of the time! A swipe of mascara and I am out the door! If worried about it being over done, or “too much”, don’t! Kim does a great job, takes her time and her attention to detain is unmatched!

We finally found a spot for couples massages when we go on vacation. Jonna massaged my wife and Princess had me. My wife reports hers as being great! Amazing in fact. They were just what we needed. Princess was phenomenal! I'm telling you, I felt like I levitated the way she massaged the back of my head to my neck. Her transitions were very smooth and everyone was very professional. We will definitely return.

Just had a delux couples massage package with reflexology from Diana and Princess. The massage was wonderful, both therapists were professional, conscientious and thorough. Facility, restroom, waiting area and massage rooms were clean with a nice atmosphere. Can't wait to come back to town for another massage.

Went for Mani pedi for myself and hair treatment for my son. Tammy did a fabulous job on my nails. My son's hair treatment left his hair softer and hydrated, however his hair was not trimmed or styled. Very clean, very nice ladies working there.

I’m blown away by this place. I was visiting VA Beach for the first time and walked by this place. I went in cause I absolutely needed to get my nails and eyebrows done. I went in without realizing how late it was (I came in at around 5 and it closed at 6 🤦🏻‍♀️) I also didn’t have an appointment (again 🤦🏻‍♀️) but they were so kind and the receptionist tried to get me in for a full gel set and eyebrows and they were able to! Their persistence to get me in was just beyond kind and sweet. Then when it was closing time my nail technician was still doing my nails in a precise manner. That is wonderful customer service and when I left I was pleased and genuinely shocked at their fantastic customer service! I want to thank the team at Salon @ 31st for being so kind, warm, and inviting! Come here if you ever get the chance to and experience this delightful salon.

For my 60th birthday, my friend and I planned to go get a massage , then I was getting a facial and she a pedicure. It was all planned a month in advance so our spa time would coincide . Massages went great. The facial was not a pleasant experience and I was supposed to get a basic but was charged much more. I gave them a credit card to pay for both of treatments plus my friends. And my friend did the same,she gave them her credit card to pay for all the treatments. But instead of saying that my friend took care of the bill, they accepted both of our cards and charged us both. If it had been crowded I could understand. But besides the 2 of us there were only 2 other customers there. And the same employee took and charged us both. We are not pleased.

I went here for a massage so I can only comment on that service and the appearance. I'm not much into spa environments buy my wife liked it, found it modern and relaxing. Masseuse did awesome job. My fave though was the chair massage with theragun. Best 10 minutes ever. Quick tip, pay with cash, and hope they have chang because it's a 3.75% extra charge on credit cards.

Ben did a great job with my haircut and color (with highlights weaved in). His artistry made me look great & was much quicker than expected, so he must have lots of experience. Best shampoo ever... seriously. I really felt pampered. I was treated well by everyone - from scheduling to check - out.

New stylist Ben took my dull, dried copper hair and turned into a soft, healthy, deep shade of red I had only dreamed of! He is truly a magician!!

We had a 30-min hot oil scalp massage at this place. The spa is well-managed and has a really nice ambience, but the massage itself was quite mediocre. The oil wasn’t even warm, the massage was so-so and I could hear the massage therapist snoring (or making a similar sound from their mask) the entire time! That was a huge distraction!

Walked in on a whim for a pedicure with my partner on a vacation. So glad we did! Salon/spa looked very clean and fresh. Normally we would book an appointment but we hadn't planned on getting anything done. Thankfully, the staff were able to get us in right away for pedicures next to each other. Not 100% sure what our nail techs names were but they were friendly and gave us wonderful "volcano" pedicures. They also offered us a complimentary drink at the start of our pedicure and started massage chairs for us. For the two specialty pedicures we paid just over 100 which was well worth the quality of the treatment we received. We are going to visit again next year when we are back in town. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice relaxing experience.

My friend and I did the pregnancy spa packages and it was fabulous! Every person we met was very professional and nice. The massage therapists were trained to do prenatal massages and were fantastic. I have tried several salons in the area before deciding to stay with Salon at 31st. All of the staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable about their jobs, but my favorite stylist is Dervelle. He is a master stylist and just superb at his job. You can describe almost any cut or color and he is able to get the results you are looking for. I sometimes have to wait just a little to get an appointment with him but he is worth the wait to get his fabulous results. He is also a very nice person who genuinely seems to care about each of his clients.

I recently moved to Virginia Beach and wanted to book a massage a facial, but had no idea where to go. I decided to give Salon@31st a try and was pleasantly surprised! My husband booked the appointments for me as a surprise so since I didn't have much time to plan my day, I ended up being about 20 minutes late and they were so nice and understanding about it! Will did my massage and it was wonderful! I was a little bit skeptical knowing that someone of the opposite sex was giving me a massage, but once I got over that, I was able to relax. He was so nice and professional the entire time and made me feel very comfortable. It was an extremely relaxing massage and he worked all of the areas that I mentioned were tense or painful. He did a few things that I've never had a massage therapist do before like different shoulder and hip stretches, but they actually felt really good! He seemed to take my body type into consideration as well. I'm a dancer and have very flexible muscles so he really worked the areas that were tight and stretched out certain muscles as much as I needed. After my massage, Oxana did my facial. She was wonderful as well and really knew what she was doing! She didn't do anything without asking me first if it was something that I wanted. She really paid attention to my skin type and told me exactly what she was using. She performed extractions on me as well (which I admit, aren't the most comfortable), but they were very effective and she let me choose whether I wanted her to do them or not. She also used electricity to rid my pores of the bacteria, but only after she gave me the option to use it or not. Those were the only two parts of the facial that I wouldn't exactly call relaxing, but they are so good for your skin! The steam, mask, massage, and everything else that she did was so nice and relaxing! I will definitely go back to her and totally recommend her. The entire staff was so nice to me that day especially after I showed up late. I definitely don't think you will regret giving Salon@31st a try! I hope this was helpful!

I just got done getting a mani-pedi at Salon@31 Day Spa. I was a little apprehensive at first-being from out of town. They got me in within a half hour of walking in the door without an appointment. It was clean and very comfortable. I had the sweetest, kindness girl (her name is Onna) do my nails. She was so nice and attentive to all my needs. She went out of her way to make me comfortable and did an excellent job on my nails. I wish I could take her home to do my nails every time. I'd recommend this place EVERY TIME.

The salon is beautifully set up. Clean, comfortable and a great staff. Dianna was doing my pedicure, such a kind and personable young lady. When she got to the massage part I questioned her as to how wonderful she massaged and she said I am a massage therapist. I then decided she needed to give me a massage. She hit every point and knew where my pain was. Amazing to be so in tune with what you do! I also had Kim put a nail on my toe, and Julie paint my toe nails- I just want to say the proffesionalism of these ladies was so impressive. Best pedi- best massage- wish I lived here I would go all the time. I highly recommend this saloon and these ladies.

Extremely happy with the service and results! From the moment I walked in, they were gracious, courteous and professional. My stylist was Keirra (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) and she was sweet, listened to me and was fabulous :) I got exactly what I had pictured (full bangs are pretty hard to be absolutely satisfied with :P) and especially when I had had a bad start to my morning with another salon, this was exactly what I had needed to make my day better. The staff were all very friendly, the products they used felt very calm on my scalp. I will definitely be recommending this establishment to my friends and will definitely be coming back!

Anna gave me a fantastic mani/pedi. She is a sweetheart and had a great attention to detail. Im a low-maintenance person and I've never gotten designs on my nails but she showed me some of her work and actually had me considering it. The salon is nicely decorated, the staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable for a tourist area. I would definitely recommend Anna and this salon to anyone visiting or local.

I am in the Navy and I brought my Mom down to Virginia Beach for a girl's beach weekend and we were staying just down the street and I noticed this Spa, called them and was able to set up an appointment for the next day on a very busy holiday weekend. They had a great special for facials and massages and on top of the special price they still gave me their military discount. Saved me a bunch of money to take my Mom out some more! They were super nice, the atmosphere was perfect, calm, quiet, comfy, and CLEAN (that's a big deal for me). It was my Mom's first ever Spa day and she absolutely LOVED the facial, was a little nervous about the massage but said it was very relaxing and pleasant. I intend to take her again this summer when she comes down, don't think I'd take her anywhere else! Definitely recommend it to anyone down in the Va Beach area, I'd go there more often if I didn't live in Norfolk. The prices and specials are always good.

Salon@31st street is a really amazing place. From the moment I walked in I was treated very well. The front desk associates are extremely friendly and wanted to make sure I was taken care of. I was receiving a 1 hour massage and did not know what to expect. I should state that I am a licensed massage therapist and my expectations are very high. Well the atmosphere at this salon is very professional and the massage room is beautiful. The massage therapist was very good. I don't like to talk during my massages and she allowed me to just relax and enjoy the experience. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!

OOOOOMMMMMGGGGG! Amazing! My family and I are here for a few days and I wanted to step away from my mommy/wife duties (though I love it but we need a break sometimes) and just sit back and be pampered. From calling to make an appointment at the last minute the receptionist fit me right in. The nail technician Tammy was amazing on my pedicure and manicure. Melissa (deep breath) omg did a tremendous job in making sure I was well relaxed. Her techniques in massaging and reflexology is to die for. (she had me snoring, lol that's a good thing) So now every time I come to Virginia Beach this is a must!!! You guys was great!!!

Visited Spa@31st yesterday for a volcano pedicure and it was awesome... Victoria was my nail technician and she was pleasant, professional and obviously talented, my feet feel great and are now in summertime mode (meaning I can where flip flops through October). My fiancé and I went to Virginia Beach for a getaway of fun in the sun. Well, unfortunately, all we got was wind and rain. After passing this salon the day before while we were out shopping, I decided to book a pedicure. Tammy took great care of me and they were able to get me in the same day. Their COVID protocol is on point, everyone wearing masks (and keeping them on) and they took my temperature upon arrival and noted it on a waiver I signed. Fast forward to the next day, still miserable weather and I wake up worth the most awful knot in my neck. I was staring down the barrel of a 9 hour ride back to Ohio the next morning and not looking forward to it with my neck in that state. My fiancé and I called around to a few other places and all were booked up. 31st was not so I made another trip there to see Jonna. Jonna was AMAZING!!! I can’t thank her enough. Through a deep tissue massage she worked the knot out and worked out all my other right spots and helped me get rid of the headache stemming from my neck ache. Upon checking out, I asked Michelle if there was any bath soak they could recommend to complete my evening of relaxation since I had access to a nice big jetted tub at the resort I was staying at. She pointed me toward Valerian and Hops bath salt by Kneipp and It was just the ticket. The ride home was pain free! I'm here for vacation and I first booked a couple's massage with my boyfriend. (They have an amazing 20% off massages deal if you book on a weekday mon-thurs!) It was mine and my boyfriend's very first professional massage. The two ladies were so amazing and so real and down to earth! Polite, making small talk just basically making us feel completely comfortable! It had to be one of the most relaxing day of my life! After we payed, I immediately asked if I could book a pedicure for later that day, if available. I was able to book one and right away I was addressed and brought to the seat. Immediately the nail technician offered me a drink and when I asked for water, suggested a red or white wine. I didn't even know they had that! Of course I took the white (and she handed me a bottle of water, too!) This place is so classy and when I return for my next vacation here at Virginia Beach, I know I booking this place again! This is the only salon I will ever go to. I've been going here for years to get fashion colors and fun cuts. I tried other salons before them and was always disappointed by how my color and cuts didn't reflect what I'd asked for. This salon uses all the latest products and I've never left disappointed. I get compliments on my hair for months after I leave. The salon serves coffee, tea and wine and there's also a sushi/hibachi place next door that will deliver to the salon. They also do an amazing job on the spa side of things and have a ridiculous amount of options for your nails.

I have thick long hair and getting a hair cut is often more a chore than a pleasure. Due to how long it takes to do it right. I'm not super girly. However, Mr. Frederick Bond maded my year and pampered me like a queen. He has an amazing personality! It was like watching an artist create a master piece. He was so focused on making sure every highlight was in right thickness for my hair to make it amazing and my layers were to my liking. He took his time and did amazing highlights, layers, and the blow dry. Man had the patience of a saint blow drying my hair for almost an hour to get it all dry. This is the best hair cut I have ever had in my life. The fact that even my brother in law was like, wow thats impressive, speaks volumes. If you have long hair and want an amazing hair cut, Frederick is the man!!!!

I called at the last minute today hoping they might have time for a hair color, cut, trim, and a keratin treatment. They not only made the time for me, they also gave me manicure and a pedicure. My stylist, Anna, was wonderful and very patient with me. Keratin is a long drawn out process but worth it in the end. The manicure turned out to be gel which is also long and drawn out but Anna is the mother of patient and has a great send of humor. I truly enjoyed her stories about her transition from Russia to 65America a few year ago. She supports her twin boys and owns a small home nearby. I was very impressed by her drive and dedication. My hair turned out beautifully and an old friend, and even my own husband, didn''t recognize me afterwards! Thanks Anna for turning this old 65 uear old feel young again. I was looking at their website while on vacation and saw it was right next to my hotel. They claimed haircuts for men from.. "$20-25 depending on length and thickness" on their website and I walked in before closing. While the haircut itself turned out alright for the most part, my stylist who claimed to have been cutting mens hair for over 30 years ended up cutting my neck with the clippers and then had the gall to ask what was wrong when I flinched. (You know that feeling when your clients ask you what happened to your head during a meeting right after a haircut? Yeahhhh, feels great...) She applied some goop to my hair that ended up turning me into what looked like a wet rat because she wet my hair beforehand, something I never do and didn't want. (I like that dry matte look, and told her what I used multiple times before she was done with my hair) I had to go to the bathroom and wash it out before I left, lol. To top THAT off, at the end they charged me the full $25, even though my hair is literal straw AND was short to start off with. All said, I was in it for $27 with a tiny tip, and dealing with a raw neck and not walking out looking great, well.. That ain't getting a cut from a salon, IMO. I'm convinced places like this have a pricing 'range' so that they can charge tourists the maximum listed amount and not feel too bad about it. They were nice enough people, but damn.. Overall, decent if you can stand the sight of a little blood and deal with questionable pricing policies, pick a different salon if you're a dude and aren't feeling that though. Might be a totally different story for women and their needs, but I mean, my thing is if you can handle THAT, you should be able to do a quick men's cut NO problem.

I originally went in to have highlights and they ended up pretty different than what I asked for (in other words my hair turned out pretty messed up). However, they gave me a discounted price and brought me back in where the owner corrected the problem the next day and brought my hair back to it's natural color free of charge. I went to salon 31st for haircut. Destiny did a great job, she understands her clients well. The thing I did not like at all is that they charge $20 extra for long haircut which makes no sense at all to me. She trimmed off 2 in only, I think short hair people would cut more though. I think they need to work on their pricing strategy to make more sense to their costumes.

I moved to VA Beach in 2014 and have tried MULTIPLE nail salons... I decided to google some reviews on nail salons near me since I was up for trying a new place. I called for a same day.. Obviously last minute to see if I could get in for a Deluxe Mani-Pedi and... Awesome to hear that they had 1 opening and I could get in. Score! I arrived like 5 minutes early and was seated within 2 minutes. Yana did both my mani-pedi and she was FABULOUS! She was so precise and kind and made sure I was comfortable at ALL times. I think their pricing is spot on... I've been to 3 star nail salons which are priced out identical. But here you get professional service and a great atmosphere.
