So much to love about this health center! Visited twice in a 2 week span and I had a consistent experience. Massage and chiropractic experience was very relaxing and helped with some upper back pain that I had been experiencing. The front desk was very helpful. What I could have lived without the “customer service” in the library/bookstore. Felt like more of an inconvenience to staff/volunteers.

Had my first colonic today. Shannon was my tech and she was wonderful! Shannon made me feel as comfortable as possible. She guided me step by step. Always asking my comfort level. It was an interesting experience to say the least. I am not sure if I would do it often BUT I definitely will be back for a much needed pamper session. Thank you to the front desk staff as well for being friendly and accommodating.

This place is so calming and peaceful. The staff are very kind and respectful and are easy to talk to. I got the spa combo package of a steam bath and full body massage. Worth every penny spent!!! Military gets a $5 discount. Paulo was my massage therapist and he was there to listen with empathy and compassion to my emotional and physical struggle. He stretched me out before massage and the steam bath made me nice and relaxed. He constantly checked in to make sure I was receiving the best massage and that everything felt good for me with the appropriate pressure applied. Their massage tables are heated and have a soft pad under the sheet so you arent just laying on plastic. He also used a pillow to support behind my knees while I was on my back and under my ankles while I was on my stomach. I will be back!! Self care will no longer be an after thought for myself!!

I came here for a BizConnect Friday Member Meetup today and was really impressed with the space. The cottage which was originally built in 1931 has undergone massive renovation and is beautiful on the inside. This is where the spa is located and I can’t wait to come back and check it out! The views out to the Atlantic Ocean are beautiful as well.

I've been coming to the Cayce foundation since I was a child with my grandmother and its always a l powerful experience. Its the place where I can come to meditate & pray. I had the joy to bring my husband now and see the joy on his face as he gets to experience all Edgar Cayce's readings have to offer. Highly recommend stopping next time your in VA Beach!

Took a tour of the massage school. Enjoyed the presentation and people who guided our tour. My first visit to the school. My family is familiar with the Spa and Visitor center. If you like yoga or meditation or similar you will enjoy visiting this slice of history. This is a fabulous center for alternative metaphysical history and wellness. The architecture and grounds are worth it alone. The gift shop has a great assortment of singing bowls, crystals, oils and fun items and books. They have tours, lectures and a restaurant on property.

I was here on 8/2/18, and it was such a beautiful place to see! Brianna, was amazing and she was very aware of mi sensitive concerns with mi neck (thank you) for not forgetting! To have been on vacation and this massage was the best of it all! I will be returning back on mi next visit! A.R.E. has a lot to offer. I wish the Labyrinth had a low wall around it to keep people from walking into the middle of your meditation when you're walking the Labyrinth path as it is located just outside the spa building in front of the doors.

Went only to the museum, which was incredibly informative. More insight into this man's incredible, no make that very credible, life. The film had me in awe as I only had a vague knowledge of all he was. The labyrinth is purported to give a sign to one who asks before completing. Only those who have experienced can judge.

Went to A.R.E. for a colonic therapy session. My clinician was Mrs. Maureen. She explained the procedure step by step, was patient and provided great conversation and comfront throughout the 60 minute session. Looking forward to my next visit!!

Edgar Cayce was a healer, a teacher and a god that could pass on. He also dubbed Virginia Beach, VA the safest place to live,(he is not speaking crime stats). He implying weather and other natural disasters. This center he built is a very spiritual, healing and relaxing environment. I have been told that the massage school that is located in the main building is the best in the nation! Even if you don't go into any of the buildings you will still leave with something to feel and talk about. Every Virginia Beach resident should check it out at least once because of how out of this world it makes you feel, think, and project your self being!

I walked the Labyrinth. The Cafe is nice. The health center and spa is a true resource. I recommend visiting to allow this resource mecca to aid you in your journey.

A nice little genteel spot on the Cayce campus, high enough up that from the dining room you can see the ocean. Counter ordering, with your food brought to your table. The menu is limited, but has a nice sampling of sandwiches, salads, soups, and bowls, all leaning toward the "healthy" side. Our group of four all liked the soups, salads, and sandwiches we ordered. Very quiet and subdued.

I love visiting the meditation room. The place has been painted and new carpet installed but what happened to the beautiful picture showing the chakras in Buddha ... please put it back. Library is fantastic and store is nice to visit picked up my favorite cold pressed lavender body lotion.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I made an appointment while laying over on business, somewhat spur-of-the-moment, and it was a pleasant surprise. Everything was as easy and stream-lined as could be, from scheduling, to locating the facility, to the actual procedure (which was performed by a talkative professional named Maurine, who informed me on every step of my treatment). Everyone I interacted with was friendly and attentive, and I had zero problems. If ever back in the VA Beach area, I will no doubt return to the ARE. I am genuinely grateful to all at this center, for providing such skilled and considerate service to one in need. Keep up the good work :D

My experience was shared with a dear friend. We began by walking the Labyrinth. Next we walked through the reflexology path and into the beautiful prayer/Meditation Garden. Then meditated in the Meditation Room which overviewed the ocean. Next, we at lunch at Leaping Lizard Cafe and were impressed by the healthy selection, size portion, and scenic beauty. Next we enjoyed shopping in the gift shop. Finally, we returned to the Prayer Garden to relax before going our separate ways. There’s an instant feeling of peace & calm when you are here. The spa has amazing packages that offer a variety of self care and restoration physically and mentally. Very reasonably priced as well considering the value delivered with each service. They have an amazing staff of experts, a gorgeous facility and a great vibe. While there you have to check out the beautiful meditation room looking out onto the ocean and the bamboo zen garden is a must see as well.

The massage was wonderful, my therapist pointed out where I had potential lymph blockages and suggested therapies that may help. A truly holistic experience, and I will definitely be back. Had lunch with my friend and my daughter the other day at the ARE cafe. It was really fantastic. Everything tasted very good and I will definitely return. Only critique is that it took a while to be served. Expect a leisurely pace and enjoy taking your time.
