Reviews of WORLD SPA
I visited World Spa with my family and we were all blown away by the incredible decor, amenities, service, and food! I have visited many spas in the past and I have never been to a spa that was absolutely spotless. Even in the locker room, there were multiple workers cleaning. When I visit a spa, I love to know that is is exceptionally clean. The food was also amazing! You must try the caviar dip.. to die for!! Also the desserts were delicious, especially the honey cake.. WOW!
I visited all the pools, steam rooms, and saunas. They were wonderful! Each room was so unique. I did 2 services - foot massage in the theater room and vennik treatment. Both were so relaxing and I would do both of them again! I can’t wait to return to World Spa with my friends. I am so happy that we finally have an amazing spa so close to home!!! 10/10 would recommend!!!!
I was literally counting down the days until they opened!! I went in on a Sunday for about 4 ish hours (I paid $120) I would say it was enough time to go swimming and into the sauna rooms. Everything is pretty upscale, clean, and staff friendly. For a Sunday I felt like it was pretty busy, but not In a way where all stations were overly full, you were still able to go swimming and into the sauna rooms without feeling like it was crowded, which I loved. I would definitely go again, I really enjoyed my time there. (They also have parking available for $15 you can park there for the whole day and the price remains the same) I would recommend this place if you're looking to relax for a few hours and if you just want to disconnect for a little.
Amazing experience! The name says it all.. you get to experience saunas from all over the world from Turkish, to Japanese hot tubs and many more. The only turn-off was the food selection. But everything that we tried was delicious.
Also, there were only 4 showers on a locker room of over 80 lockers. A little inconvenient, but the complimentary products were great!
We went early on a Friday and it was almost empty which was great.
Entrance was a little over $80 for unlimited time.
For each guest, Make sure to bring your ID, your credit card, your bathing suit, and your clean sandals.
We ordered drinks and that experience was pretty smooth and reasonable prices. We didn’t order food.
Everything was very clean and the staff was welcoming.
In general it was a very pleasant experience.
Small tip for the facility: They should advise people at check-in to follow etiquette regarding phone use and loudness, and people should be required to shower in advance of using the facilities.
What a beautiful place. I never imagined you can get so much all under one roof. The care and attention to detail that went into creating this space is just exceptional.
I had such a relaxing and wonderful experience on my recent visit. From the moment I stepped in I felt I was in good hands. It gives five star luxury all the way. The locker rooms and overall facility is beautiful and super clean.
I especially loved that the various wellness rooms and lounge was upstairs. I throughly enjoyed the Himalayan salt room. I felt amazing after. The aroma room was also a favorite. I didn’t indulge in any treatments but that’s a must in my next visit.
Can’t wait to go back! Thank you to the world spa team for creating the perfect escape in the city.
This place is luxurious. Honestly you wouldn't expect to find this gem of a spa considering the elevated subway, near a huge cemetery and mostly industrial part of Brooklyn... But it's here and it's awesome!
BRING SANDALS!!! That's my one bit of advice. They don't give you sandals but there are $10 sandals you can buy. Floor was super clean so I just walked around barefoot.
Otherwise the big pool, the hot tub, the cold plunge, the sauna, the robe they give you, everything is really nice and relaxing. Really transports you to a heavenly place. Great for destress. Food was very tasty too. Enjoy
This spa is absolutely stunning, gorgeous detail! I love all the different saunas and tried a hammam for the first time, can’t wait to go back! My friends and I will definitely be renting a cabana next time. Perfect escape from the NYC dreary winter
Really great first visit. Escape to WORLD SPA!!!After a stressful and long work week, nothing sounds or feels better. It was a little unusual at first but trying all of the rooms was amazing and so, so relaxing! Especially I liked the room with real snow. Interesting and excellent idea! The other rooms were great too. One clue, it would be nice to add lockers for phones inside the hall, as the other SPA has.
Nothing impressive here.
Please note you have to bring your own flip flops. This was not noted in the confirmation email and it should. There are so many people walking around the spa in outside footwear and this needs to be announced in bold letters. As soon as you arrive they ask you if you want to spend $15 for flip flops. So it works to their benefit not to make mention prior to.
There were a lot of things out of order; a cold plunge pool, a steam room was in and out, and the jets in the pool weren’t working. But my friends and I made the most of it.
The steam room that did work wasn’t that effective. The steam was near the ceiling mostly so we took towels to wave it down. The spa is basically one floor so please don’t come here expecting much. It looked bigger online. The food was good but a bit pricey. This place is a money grab for sure.
It was just okay. I won’t be in a rush to come back here at all.
This spa is amazing! I prefer going here during the winter time rather than Sojo. This place is so clean and the name says it all. You get to experience different saunas from all over the world. If you’re a sauna person like me, you would love it here. Lastly, they have a place where you can eat and drink! I highly recommend visiting world spa!
World Spa is a beautiful done, relaxing and upscale oasis. It’s perfect designed to optimize your experience while there. I received the hammam scrub which was amazing and included 2 additional hours in the spa center. It’s fairly new so there are undoubtedly some kinks that need to be worked out but none severe enough to mention. I’m so happy to have such a place I. Brooklyn and have already scheduled my next treatment! Go head. Treat yourself!
Living in the neighborhood and watching this project come to fruition, I thought I would never see this beauty completed in time. From the industrial exterior to the unique and glamorous interior, the craftsmanship speaks for itself. As with every new venture there will be flaws and challenges to overcome in order for it to be perfect for all. It’s grand opening on 12/8/22 was one that I was not fortunate to attend but was happy to have booked an afternoon pass for my friend and I to enjoy after work on 12/14/22.
- Price after 4pm with a 4-Hr time limit is $100 per person. This does not include swimsuits and slippers (must bring your own or available for purchase)
- There is a restaurant (Ren) which serves an American-Mediterranean style cuisine, has a beautiful ambiance and decor but is not affiliated with the World Spa and must be booked for a different time as it’s outside of spa facilities. If you wish to come for dinner, book dinner first or after your spa experience. There is no re-entry from the world spa, there are no outdoor facilities like in Sojo or Spa Castle.
-The lockers are immaculate, very clean, nice heated floors, beautiful showers and toiletries. Robes and towels are included and available in abundance. The locker room staff are friendly and accommodating.
- The facility is broken up into 3 floors- spa and treatment rooms first floor, saunas and cafè on the second floor and a members only lounge upstairs on the third floor- not a member yet so not sure what the members lounge offers.
- The saunas were truly crafted with such precision and their individual styles showed appreciation for each origin respectively. I enjoyed the Moroccan hammam, the snow room, the infra red sauna, the Himalayan salt room, their Russian banyas and had a Russian Leaf (Venik) treatment done, which my friend and I were very satisfied with. Their ice plunge pool was cold- Frigid- and they also have ice showers you can enjoy between each Russian banya.
- Their pools (Hydrotherapy) were ok… not what I expected temperature wise and felt it lacked a certain je ne sais quoi. This part I have to leave to each individual to experience.
- their Cafe was in the center of all the saunas and pools. They had a delicious array of appetizers, salads and mains… we orders two salads, one appetizer and fresh juice drinks. Their cocktails look phenomenal, I did not order but saw my neighbors who have and their drink menu is entertaining. I tried to minimize my alcohol intake because I wanted to keep hydrated.
- Their staff- very professional, truly accommodating, respectful and seek to please each customer. It’s a new facility, demands and expectations are high from each customer and it may appear like staff is lacking but they are overwhelmed as anyone can understand from an administrative perspective. Be aware: there are gratuities (tips) automatically added to treatments and meals- may be an issue for some depending on their experience.
Cons-
1- Their opening hours- for someone who starts their day at 6am and has a 9-5 job and kids to manage, morning hours are much appreciated. They open at 12pm and in the evenings it becomes too crowded to appreciate their facilities.
2- There should be signs for individuals who do not understand sauna/spa etiquette: no speaking, no telephones, close doors behind them, clean towels after themselves.
3- Their memberships should be more tailored to the masses. A $5000/yr membership does not suffice when you can only enjoy their facilities once a week in the evenings or weekends when it’s crowded.
4- The prices are higher than their competitors; granted it is a new, more elegant, upscale facility- The experience is unique to say the least but for some, the price may not fit their expectations when compared to sojo or spa castle.
I have been waiting years for this place to open , I was so excited to finally be able to book a service and enjoy the spa! I booked a body scrub for 9 am and was told to be at the spa by 8:30 for check in. I got to the spa at 8:15 am as they open at 8 am and the doors were locked. I called the spa and the call center said she was just made aware they were opening at 9 today and didn’t give anyone notice and she apologized. They opened the door just ten minutes before 9 and I felt very rushed before my service since I didn’t know where I was going and didn’t want to be late for my treatment. The treatment was great after I finally was able to relax. I suggest the therapist asking if the client wants their glutes and stomach scrubbed as mine did not and I was shocked my entire body did not get a smooth scrub. The facilities were beautiful. Limited food menu for before 1 Pm so I didn’t get to eat. When checking out I expressed how upset I was to have to wait outside and the manager was very understanding and accommodating. Looking forward to going back. Just please next time you are going to change hours, call your guests and also promote the correct time on your social media.
I loved my visit to Worldspa. Initially I thought that 4 hours would be a lot and assumed I would be leaving earlier, but no. I got the relaxation I need, took my time exploring the space - and the restaurant. I only visited half of the saunas they have, decided not to rush myself and leave the rest for my next time.
And yes, the personnel deserves a separate mention - everyone from the front desk to the security to the waiters made the visit even more pleasant with their kind attitude. I loved it!
Yesterday I took my team (Holistic Medicine office) at World Spa and it felt like a real escape from reality and grey Brooklyn atmosphere.
It has been a real Royal Relaxation experience!
The facility is Luxurious from all aspects.
Such an attention to detail!
Beyond beautiful!
Beyond museum visual/art experience ✨️
Everything was flawless.
Absolutely ecstatic about the whole experience from checking in, variety of sauna rooms, venik massage - highly recommend- very personalized approach to make you get benefits but safe and pleasurable.
REN restaurant was another separate "wow" experience. Excellent service and 😋 absolutely delicious food and delightful space.
Everything was absolutely perfect and everyone had a truly amazing time at World Spa. Can't wait to come back!
Took us like an hour to get in. First they didn’t tell us at the front desk we need a certain locker in order to work with our wristband. Then in the locker room we had to wait in line and we got roasted for not following the rules we have never been told. Good things were that it was clean and has good amount of saunas.
Really nice experience. Everyone from the security guard who was helpful to everyone. He came into the sauna during the ritual to help the russian attendees who had a strong accent with the explanation of what was about to happen. the Russian staff had great energy during that experience. Should consider him for a guest experience manager. front desk and servers 👌🏽
I was invited by one of my bestfriends to come here as a Galantines day gift and we had a good time. We didn’t like how the area was very industrial, comes in handy that the train station is right there but parking isn’t so great and there isn’t a parking lot unfortunately. One thing I found different is that even if you’re not paying you have to give them a credit/debit card and your id(of course) to check in. 4hr experience which is pretty cool. Their locker rooms were clean along with their bathrooms and showers. They even had mouthwash and small plastic cups to use! Their food was pretty good. I definitely enjoyed their truffles fries, grilled salmon skewers and their Chardonnay white wine. Unfortunately they don’t serve wine bottles but in glasses works(plastic though, wine taste better in glass of course). Their servers were pretty helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items and the spa amenities. The spa only had one hostess which isn’t good at all especially when they have people waiting and end up leaving the front desk because the hostess is running around busy doing other things. The pools and saunas were clean but the jets weren’t working in the pools which seemed really odd to me and not good for customers who go there expecting to feel jets while their in the pool. They could have had more hot tubs as well. What I liked mostly was their Himalayan salt sauna to the point where I actually fell asleep with my mouth open 3 times prob. cause I went to a couple of hot saunas before lol Overall nice spa but I wouldn’t go again.
Lovely place. Very welcoming personnel, not too crowded during the day hours. Apparently, I looked lost - the place is huge - so some hot-looking Lana(manager?) gave me a tour and answered whatever questions I had, that was very nice. The restaurant is somewhat basic, but they have a nice choice of teas and condiments. Although you can expect the places like that to be geared towards east-european folks, the patrons are as diverse as it gets, everyone looked classy. Prices are cheap, realistically, you get a lot for what you paid. Make sure you watch your time, they will charge you if you overstay. Also, they don't mention on the web page, but you have to bring you flip-flops, unless you want to buy them there. They give you a robe and two towels though.
I went for day of pampering and I was not disappointed… Everything was on point . From the valet , a few steps away ($15 and you can text to have your car waiting for you when you come out )
The restaurant small bites were amazing , drinks on point , the spa scrub service I booked was EVERYTHING . Customer service 5 stars . 10/10 highly recommend. I honestly wanted to live there. Now it is on the pricier side, so this was a splurge self care day for me . Ready to book the next visit! (Go on an random morning/afternoon , I can see the experience being ruined by a large crowd.
Overall great experience and will happily return. A few things to know to optimize your stay:
-- entry requires a swimsuit and slippers. If you don't bring your own, you can buy from the check in. I didn't bring my slippers and it was $13 to purchase
-- they give you a wrist band that you use throughout the facility, unlocks your locker and any additional charges you occur is on there as well so you don't have to bring anything around with you. It's very convenient.
-- locker room is lovely, with heated floors and bracelet activated lockers. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mouth wash, robes all included. swimsuit spinner and hair dryer available too. Suggest bringing your own lotion and water bottle, and a plastic bag for your wet slippers to go home in. Locker room time counts against your time in the facility, so plan accordingly. Would love if they moved the gate to the other side of the lockers so you could take your time
-- Waiting for friends: they don't have anywhere to lounge or eat outside of the facility when not dinner hours. If you are waiting for a friend to arrive or finish their treatment, you'll be waiting in the lobby or paying for the extra time in the facility.
-- Eating: my friend says the food in the facility was excellent (eggs benedict) as was the tea she ordered
-- Facilities: all the facilities were clean and well appointed and we didn't feel crowded at all. Enjoyed the hot and cold pools, the snow room, and the saunas. The snow room was particularly unique. I didn't use the steam rooms, but they looked beautiful. The music was a little on the loud side for my personal taste, but not terribly distracting. The facility is relatively bright throughout.
-- Treatments: had an excellent facial from Nina which left me glowing and included a nice shoulder and jaw massage. I suggest you stay in your robe/slippers for the duration of the time you're in the facility, even for this portion, as you can't go anywhere but the locker room/treatment area in your street clothes and this will give you more time in the facility without changing back and forth
-- Billing: check your bill on the self check out. They're working on a glitch that doesn't account for your treatment time and it may mark you as over the 2 hours included with your treatment when you aren't over. They quickly remedied it, but it's worth keeping an eye out until that's fixed.
-- Parking: the F train wasn't running this morning so I decided to drive. Usually I'd take public transit. Street parking is 2hrs, but they have valet parking available if you need it.
-- overall the staff are very friendly, though some of them are still learning the ropes in terms of recommendations
My husband and I went today and we have mixed feelings. On one hand, it is nice to have such an affordable and beautifully designed space to soak in and sweat the stress away. Once you find a place in a pool, you can chill. But on the other hand, the place is clearly overcrowded, loud and feels chaotic at times. This isn't a place to relax fully. It's disorganized, everyone is trying to figure out what do next, and staff were not that helpful. The security and cleaning staff did a better job than the rest of the staff. Also, food and drinks were solid. Not wow, but good enough.
My main recommendations for the owners:
- Add basic decorum signage or provide some sort of instructions at the start of the experience. I saw way too many people going from a sauna or hamman directly into pools without showering. That's gross.
Also, provide a suggested order of experiences, and list the benefits of each experience.
- Put signs in hammans, banyas, and saunas for people to be quiet. People were having full on loud conversations in places that are supposed to be for silence and calm.
- Consider a no cellphone policy.
- Reconsider the sitting arrangements for the lounge experience. We had a table right next by where everyone was coming out of the Hammans. Also gross.
We will see if the owners will take these and some of the other reviewers suggestions into consideration and improve the experience OR if they will be only focused on delivering Instagram-worthy but poor quality service.
My fiancé took me here as a birthday surprise and it was such a relaxing day. We went in all the sauna rooms to see which ones we liked best. And my favorite was the Turkish Hammam. Usually I’m not loving humidity but for some reason my chronic back pain was so much less when I was in that room. We also really enjoyed the pools/hot tubs! The vibe was nice and the people there were very friendly. Overall we had a great day. It was helpful that there was valet parking for the spa! At the restaurant inside we got a light lunch. I got the truffle fries and my fiancé got the poke bowl. Both were delicious!
This spa was very beautiful, and the ambiance was everything. Love, love, loved the pool and saunas. Wish the jets were a little stronger in the whirlpool. The food wasn't anything special; it needs a little more variety in the menu. Last but not least, the crowd that attends does not know how to be quiet. I went in the Himalayan Salt sauna, which was lovely, but I wasn't able to enjoy it because two grown men were talking loudly.
Amazing spa loved it , I think it has to be the best Russian Style Bathhouse in Brooklyn. Many different styles of saunas , hot tubes , pools . The reason I’m giving it 4 starts is because I didn’t like the fact that they have a 4 hour limit and every additional hour is like $20 dollar’s extra on top of the $85 entrance fee and also I didn’t like that the restaurant there charge a 20% tip fee without telling you for everything you order .
This place is definitely minimally 4.5+ stars!!! The sushi was sooo fresh and yummy 😋 the pools and all the hot rooms were amazing. The whole place is aesthetically beautiful, every room and wall was just so amazing in detail! …
My friend and I went on a Sunday for a 12-1pm check in. The check in staff was very friendly and the locker rooms were nice. (Could have more amenities like hair ties and lotion)
Overall I thought it was a great experience. Relaxing vibe, lots of options.
My favorite was the herbal sauna. Perfect temperature and the herbs from the ceiling were blissfully relaxing.
The pool area is confusing.. the first one was warm, but the second one was luke warm and jets weren’t all working.
The hot tubs are nice, but small and only 2 of them.
That day was fairly busy, we had to wait a little for the infrared and small hot tubs.
*wish there was more guidance from staff on recommended experience + teaching others some spa etiquette. Many were not showering after the sauna and going into the pools & taking photos in the saunas.
Hidden gem …as someone who loves the spa they hit all key points clean not crowed ..excellent customer service the pools are amazing hot tubs all the treatments rooms are amazing …food was good strawberry /lemonade drink was good …I had a salad the dressing was amazing ///only complaint wanted to go to my car for something and couldn’t exit even tho I had a all day pass ? The parking lot is attached to the spa why wouldn’t we be allowed to exit and reenter ….other than that I’m definitely going back
I visited World Spa with my friend yesterday, we spent unforgettable day in such a beautiful and very clean space, with incredible decor and amenities, great service and amazing food-the salmon tartar was so fresh and yummy, lychee martini and mojitos was perfect done !!!
We visited all steam rooms , pools and saunas. Each room was so unique. The music, smell , clean and beautiful ambiance, friendly and professional staff - you have everything for relaxing and joy. We spent more than 5 hours and it was not enough😃♥️We will be back very soon!!! Thank you World Spa for such an amazing experience !!! I’m giving you a million stars ⭐️ ⭐️💕
World spa is absolutely stunning and was a pleasure to visit! I enjoyed the many different saunas and steam rooms that are available. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend to go for a celebration or to enjoy a nice day of relaxation. I really felt like I was elevated to an ultimate five star resort and experience. I will definitely be back soon!
I wanted to love this place and for one hot second I did. Because it’s beautiful, it’s indoors, and easy access by an Uber, versus Sojo spa but don’t be fooled, it’s not perfect. Maybe it’s not done yet?! First of all, if you go, make a reservation to go to REN restaurant for after bc that’s is perfect! Second of al, it’s confusing, a lot of lockers, and one restaurant choice only when you get inside. Like Sojo has a place where you can get fresh juices and smoothies, so I miss that! Second of all, while I love the saunas, their pool was not warm enough and had almost ZERO water pressure, which is another reason you go to a spa, instead of just saunas. The food inside was okay, I can also tell that this place will be crowded. So not sure if I’ll come back but once it’s 45F and above, I’ll go back to Sojo for their gorgeous NYC outside views, water pressure, smoothies and so on.
This place was amazing the massage I got was 10/10. Pools and sauna was nice. Defiantly a vibe I came alone so I didn’t stay long but definitely will be back
Amazing sand stone massage the place was clean well layed out and very relaxing. I spent 7 hrs so I ate lunch which was so delicious my one complaint is that for the price of the massage you only get 1 complimentary hour at spa overall it was a great time spent on self care.
Finally Brooklyn has some decent Spa center…I had an amazing experience, the customer service was exceptional, Venik treatment was complete fire ! Clean, beautifully arranged and designed space … Love from the first visit. Will definitely come back for more
Beautiful facility and amenities! 10/10 worth a visit for a treatment — which gives you access to all spa amenities. Or, you can purchase a day pass.
My favorite room was the snow room— a chilly room with real snow flurries & snowball making tools :) the ice plunge pools, salt room, steam rooms, hot saunas and pools are sparkling clean. I also had a bite and the lounge restaurant and the food was incredible. Perfect spot for a date night, great for groups or solo recharge time.
World Spa is phenomenal. I went for the first time today, and was not disappointed. The place embodied relaxation. The staff was excellent, kind, and professional. We hit the saunas, then took a break for some drinks-- margaritas that were quite good-- and some tasty snacks (California rolls and truffle fries), which hit the spot. The pool area was so chill. Major props to the crowd that was there... Everyone was very cool and God bless the fact that every kind of person was there, enjoying themselves to the fullest. I would suggest that you go at a time that is not crowded. Expect to spend some $$$... Live large for a special day. My only complaint? It would be cool if World Spa brought in a live pianist instead of piping in background music. Otherwise, thanks for a great time! PS - I live three blocks away so I will certainly be back 😎
Absolutely beautiful!! It just opened on 12/8 and we went on 12/9! Super spacious, friendly & kind staff. I'm looking forward to going back!
Spending the day at a spa is my favorite thing to do- I've been to one's across the county and personally own a small studio in NY.
I thought the space was beautiful, creative and well put together. My friend and I spent 4+ hours enjoying all of the experiences- the snow room was the best!
My only complaint was a very messy salt room and this in the showers. There was an abundance of spa attendees waiting to pick up my dirty towel when getting changed but the showers were definitely overlooked in cleanliness.
Also having water readily available throughout the space would have been a nice touch- there was only a school type fountain or bottled available for purchase. A few competitors in the area provide glass carafes of lemon/ cucumber/ mint infused water and it's a refreshing amenity
If you’re thinking of coming here, do it.
I came on a Tuesday evening and had a smooth check in and was pleased with all the staff. The facilities are amazing, there’s countless pools, saunas and treatment rooms (the cold plunge and snow room we’re fantastic).
Some pointers for the management team:
Lighting- Simply too bright, lower lighting would help people relax more.
Music- Gotta turn down the volume, it was more club than spa.
Overall it’s great here, and I’ll be back
World Spa is a must visit destination for anyone who enjoys banyas and spa treatments. There are 7 saunas and 2 steam rooms or hammams to relax in. The menu is very extensive with soups, sushi dishes and even desserts. If you are in the mood for a cocktail or beer, there is also a full bar and wine menu to choose from. Can't wait to visit World Spa again!
I visited World Spa last month on a weekday late afternoon. Valet parking was quick and easy. Everything was very clean since it's still new. The food was tasty, but a little pricey. Overall, what stood out the most was the staff. They were all so so friendly and helpful. The space itself is smaller than I thought it would be but still makes for a great half a day activity. The only con is since the space is small it can fill up quickly, so sometimes saunas fill up (especially the ones with lounge chairs) so you have to wait a while to get a seat. The same goes for the showers inside the locker room. My recommendation, if at all possible, go on a weekday morning when there's less of a crowd.
This past Friday was my first time visiting World SPA and If Google reviews were based on looks along this place would be ready to take the IG likes Crown.
Sadly my experience was far royal or worth from the 5 star experience I was really to give this place. =(
I am not writing this review to bash on this spa I just hope that the owner reads it and makes changes in the future.
First of all the Hammams they have were both a joke they were for the most part of time COLD & Drafty, every time they got a little warm someone came into the room and got all the stream to escape walls where cold. the jacuzzis-whirlpool had no heat & no jetpump just some weak @$$ bubbles.
When I went up to the cold plunge area I noticed something brown floating in it.. bro, na, it's ok I pass smh.
This place is definitely not worth money I spent for a minute I was almost ready to ask for my money back, the only reason why this place takes 3 stars from me it's because one of the front desk girls was super nice to me and my girl and when beyond to makes us feel welcome also the salt room and the saunas were just great... World SPA please do better next time a lot better.

"I'll be back" 😎
Date of Visit: 1/18/23 Wednesday 11-12pm slot .
Apparently during the week there is no 4 hour time period
Parking : the parking attendants are unclear about pricing .
Checkin : no formal welcome and stood in silence. During the wait no information was given about the Spa and it’s amenities.
The bathroom/locker area is small . Barely any space to change and lockers are extremely small . Showers were full of hair .
Everything is located on one floor.
Saunas, pools, dinning area.
Showers are available by the saunas, but alot of individuals aren’t rinsing off before they move on to the next .
The cold plunge was extremely dirty, individuals were getting treatments and jumping into the plunge leaving behind leaves in the pool . Towels are available at the center but they should set up a towel rack and water station.
It’s extremely noisy overall so trying to rush to find an empty saunas because people don’t know how to stay silent or be off their phones .
The pool area was messy , towels everywhere and not once did I see staff pick up towels off the seating area.
Ordered the avocado hummus and pita was cold not hot . Drinks & dessert were good .
I enjoyed my time here. The spas and pools were very nice and relaxing. The food in the cafe was pretty good too. I wish people couldn’t bring their phones into the saunas. I don’t like knowing that someone could potentially be taking photos of me in my bathing suit without my consent. Most spas don’t allow phones. My card was also charged 4 separate times totaling close to $400 which I’m still disputing with my bank. I will probably go back but I think some kinks need to be worked out.
I love the upscale look of the spa and the organized system of moving people throughout. The staff are all helpful and willing to make the experience memorable. Well-designed layout, several aesthetically pleasing saunas with beautifully textured walls and comfortable, body-contoured seating. With multiple saunas of varying intensities of heat and dryness/moisture, one can find the perfect relaxing room. Take off your earrings before going to the saunas. Earrings get really hot. I inadvertently left 2 pair of gold earrings in my robe pocket. My massage was very enjoying: strong hands worked steadily and deeply on tight muscles in a private room. Wish that the noise from the building furnace were quieter in room and that the massage were a full hour. I didn't get a chance to eat lunch because I had checked out at noon, but the restaurant didn't open until 5 pm.
I booked a couples massage package and this was mines and my boyfriend’s first time at World Spa. This place is beautiful. I had dinner reservations right after the massage so we didn’t get to experience much, but we were able to walk around and check out all of the rooms and had time for a presentation in one of the hot saunas. I was impressed by how clean it was and how much they offered. The price of single entry is kind of high but the lockers are big, the individual showers are very accommodating, and offer a seating bench and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner inside each shower. There are plenty of clean towels, and the waffle robe they give you at checkin is comfortable and cooling.
Our massage was cabana style on the main level. It wasn’t private, which I didn’t really like, but the massage was good although it got kind of uncomfortable at times. The space looked like it wasn’t prepped either, with massage table covers and a sauce container thrown on the couch. Aside from that, we are definitely going back. It’s a place you can easily spend 6 hours in.
Had a great time. This facility is brand new and very clean. There are so many options that I barely made it through the entire place after spending hours there. I went on a Friday morning and it was busy but not super crowded. The food was good with healthy options. The locker-wrist band set up is great. There are many staff within the bath area who are helpful. Recommendation: move some of those staff to the front to facilitate check-in -- as we waited in line for 1 hour to have entrance to the spa. Additionally, in the locker room please add more hair dryers (and fix outlets as some don't work) and place a mirror where the TV is so women have more room to do their makeup and hair in addition to the sink area. Will definitely come back!
Phenomenal experience! Beautiful space. Great spa experience. Wednesday afternoon is definitely the day to visit. Not that many people, friendly service staff. The food and drinks were also very good. Sushi rolls are very fresh, avocado humus was the best! The Russian saunas were super hot and very relaxing. Aroma room, salt room were awesome. They do shows once every two hours that were fun. Snow room was also great. The swimming pool was ok as well. Definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful clean and new (for now). This cozy spa that's not too big is absolutely gorgeous. Located in an industrial part of Brooklyn, this spa is a great addition to the neighborhood. It has several sauna, steam rooms and spacious plunge pools. It was a nice respite in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn. They serve food and alcohol as well and there's a restaurant that is upscale and reservation only. I would return and try it. My only critique is that this spa looks a bit too much like a shopping mall food court with all the tables and chairs in the center. If the place hadn't been empty when I visited, I would have been uncomfortable if all the tables and chairs were filled with people. This makes it more like a restaurant in a spa. The food looked tasty, but I think food and spa area should be completely separate. May get gross months down the road.
Wow ! What a great experience! From the spa quality, the food, the decor and the overall ambience, this is BY FAR the best spa I have ever been to! We loved the different varieties of steam rooms, dry saunas and pools as well! Definitely will come back here ASAP! Thank you World Spa!
World Spa is the place to unwind and relax. You know it’s a really hot spot when the check-in lines are long, but everyone is patient and excited to spend their time there. The treatment rooms are mood changing and will transport you to another place. Each room is thoughtfully designed and made to make you soak it all in. The pools are spacious and the music really fills the atmosphere. The locker rooms are well equipped and extremely clean. The staff here are so helpful and friendly. You’ll definitely have a great time if you visit!
This was an awesome spa experience. The price for a weekday pass was very fair, the facilities are beautiful, the amenities, complimentary robes and towels, and good quality food made the price well worth it. I would give a fifth star if the prices of the added services were not so exorbitant. My hour long massage plus the automatic 20% gratuity came out to $190 …. It was not worth it at all. But I will happily return for a weekday pass and just not add anything extra!
visited World Spa on my day off and was in shock with the were detailed decor, amenities, and the staff. The staff was wonderful and made sure everything was spotless. The food was way better than I expected for a spa especially the desserts. The pool and steam rooms were super relaxing. I would highly recommend this place and I can not wait to return on my next day of. I easily give it a 10/10!!!
Beautifully designed place that truly combines the spas of the world. Each saunas transport you to the part of the world they represent visually and with experience. The place was very clean, with sufficient staff providing maintenance. We had a very relaxing 4 hours at the spa.
My only suggestion to owners are: consider installing springs on the doors to the spa entrances, since the guests constantly left them either wide open or ajar.
I had an all day pass and it was so worth it. There are hot and cold rooms, some with aromatics, and all very relaxing. I went on a Friday and there were a good amount of people but the rooms were never over crowded. The one setback was the cafeteria- they use a QR code which went down at lunchtime. I waited 30 minutes for a cup of tea then finally gave up and went back to the spa. When I returned an hour later they were up and running seamlessly with paper menus. The therapeutic massage was amazing. Overall it was a good experience and I will be back.
This was absolutely amazing experience ❤️
The place is absolutely beautiful. Super clean. Everyone is super helpful, professional and friendly. There is so much to do and see. I am so coming back next week:).Misha is great with Venik :)
Came yesterday with my family. We enjoyed it tremendously. The saunas were just the perfect temperature. The pool was HUGE! Plenty of space to lounge out but my absolute favorite was the food and drinks. Highly recommended!
the trek out to world spa was a journey… i would definitely recommend coming on a weekday, because it was very crowded on a weekend. there are a good variety of saunas/hammans/pools, but I wasn’t particularly impressed by any of them- it felt a little gimmicky, but it was still a very cool concept. because it was so crowded, I felt like it the whole place wasn’t super clean/hygienic. also, you have to bring your own slippers or purchase them- so I felt like wearing your own slippers was not super hygienic, but maybe that’s me being picky.
the food took forever- i would recommend placing your order, and going back to saunas. we waited an hour for dios that weren’t cooked… the caviar dip was very good. I would recommend getting that with the avocado hummus, which is also tasty, because the avocado hummus coming with pita.
Absolutely the most amazing spa I’ve been to! Everything is so technology savvy from being able to tap your bracelet to get into your locker to ordering food with the bracelet. The saunas and steam rooms are an absolute dream. Something you’d see out of a movie. And the staff is so friendly, attentive, and helpful. I’m DEFINITELY returning!
From the moment you enter and are greeted at the front desk, you are met with professionalism and a welcoming atmosphere. The number of services and options is unmatched and all staff are ready and willing to hear your concerns, preferences, and needs. The facilities themselves are just stunning and cannot be compared to other spas. It is truly the best way to spend your weekend or your day off.
Loved the experience in such luxurious spa. I loved everything but one thing is missing. Rest area. Cabanas everywhere, unused but people have no space to rest between saunas. Because of that they occupy Himalayan sauna to rest. Which means others unable to use that sauna. Will be great to have a rest. The rest of the experience is just amazing. All saunas are just so well put. Great costumer service. Amazing food, drinks. Loved 🥰 everything about that spa. Highly recommend to come.
This was my first time coming here. And the check in process was a bit long but I didn't mind it! I was really excited to just relax at the spa. The changing room was nice and clean. I loved all the different rooms they had and it wasnt too crowded at the time I went. I would definitely go again. I enjoyed myself. I would say the hot tubs in the back could be hotter!
I had an amazing massage in the treatment center. The staff was polite , friendly and accommodating. The spa area where the saunas and pools are is quite small. It seems like there is a lot of wasted space with the restaurant and cabanas. All of the cabanas were empty when I went. It seems that they should convert some of this space to include more relaxation areas. If you want to just lay down and relax you can only do so in the salt and infrared rooms or the pool. Each of these areas had very limited seating.
World spa is definitely a beautiful spa to visit the aesthetics we're absolutely phenomenal. I suggest going early we went during the weekday at around 3 pm and had to wait to use alot of the amenities and the locker room was pretty filled which wasn't too bad. The only bad part of my experience was the restaurant aspect we had to wait a very long time for our waiter to even acknowledge our table and get serviced.
However, during the checkout process a customer agent named Jasmine asked how our experience was and genuinely cared about the issues that I had which I really appreciated.
overall I would rate the spa cleanliness as a 4/5.
The amenities 4/5 ( just because of the waiting time)
However, the restaurant does need a lot of work, and would recommend 2/5.
And the customer service 5/5,look forward to seeing you guys soon!
This new spa is very nice! I like all the rooms, but my favorites are the Salt room and the aroma room. I love the "smart" arm band, which allows you to open the locker and buy anything , and pay when checking out, instead of carrying keys and money with you.
The check in process should be more efficient, it takes about 30 minutes to check in on the week day. Overall, I had a great, relaxing experience.
Wow! I loved it. So clean and modern. The pool and saunas are awesome. Food was pretty good.
Celebrated a birthday by renting a separate room. It was an amazing experience! SPA is great! The atmosphere was amazing! So many different and unique saunas! The staff is very polite and helpful. The food was very tasty (especially the caviar pie). The highlight was the special scrub and веник treatment done by the amazing professionals Akhmat and Samar. They did an outstanding and very professional job. (I highly recommend them). We all decided that we would definitely come often, even though we live in New Jersey.
New facility that is quickly becoming a tourist attraction. Feels like an amusement park when checking in (not in a good way). Some of the saunas were great while the two steam room (hammams) left a lot to be desired. Food was fine, services were mediocre at best, I’d classify them as a waste of money. Beautiful space, absolutely gorgeous though.
I visited World Spa with my friends and we were all blown away by the incredible decor, amenities, service! Everything is pretty upscale, very clean, and staff friendly. We visited all the pools, steam rooms, and saunas. They were wonderful! Each room was so unique. I'm so happy that we finally have an amazing spa so close to home!!! I would definitely go again! Highly recommended!!!
Had a really nice experience overall, went on a Tuesday which was not crowded. Overall World Spa offers nice assortment of steam rooms, pools and saunas which are clean and beautifully designed. The menu at the restaurant had a nice assortment of options. The staff were helpful and courteous however there is room for improvement on the hospitality end.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting World spa and I must say, it was an absolute delight. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every aspect of my visit was perfect.
One of the highlights of my spa experience was definitely the 195 degree sauna. Despite the high temperature, the experience was refreshing and invigorating. I especially loved the addition of snowballs, which I used to cool myself down in between rounds. It was an exhilarating experience that left me feeling refreshed and energized.
Overall, I had a great time at the spa and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I can't wait to go back and do it all again!
When you come here you can tell that they poured millions of dollars into construction here. The beautiful marble floors, clean rustic locker rooms, cedarwoood is all noteworthy. I came here on a weekday for four hours and it was packed but not to the point of discomfort. I think 89 dollars with tax is pricy , time flew by fast and its an extra 25 dollars to extend another hour . If you come here on a weekend its 120! I believe four hours wasn’t enough time. I also was not happy with service at cafe on main floor. It took so long to get the tea set which took time away from our 4 hours, we see waiters chatting and laughing and claim their expense tea takes long time to steep. The jasmine tea was good but i regret ordering it if it would be such a hassle. I do agree that the menu is better in the main floor because you can get homemade russian options like soups salads or even juices and sushi! The food isn’t cheap here but portions are decent. What stood out to me here was the cool snow room and salt room, very nice for winter. The saunas and steam rooms smelled great and had a turkish morrocan vibe but they didn’t feel hot enough. At least in russian banyas you can add more water to coal . On a side note there is the cool experience of getting a professional veniki to turn up the heat, i saw this in a group setting. I did not try the spa because the facials were pricy, it looked like 160-200 minimum per service. After you finish the rooms you can go to salt pools and jacuzzis, i love how big the jets are and space! It was a nice ending. Lastly, we tried to restaurant that had soft opening for my mothers birthday. It was empty. I think the french italian mixed menu is small yet confusing. Good luck getting a simple item like house salad. They need to add either authentic russian dishes to this restaurant or more basic meals like pasta, pork, steak, ravioli, calamari. The cork fee is a whopping 75 dollars so you are better off ordering a 20 dollar cocktail instead (my dirty martini was good!).
After going to world spa, I was so impressed with the service, food and the Amenities were like no place else. The attention to detail of all the rooms is mind blowing. By far one of the nicest, cleanest and feel good spas I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend to anyone who looks for the best experience possible.
Went during the weekday and felt it was the perfect amount of people (not crowded). Everything looked very clean and the food was really good!
Gifted my parents a gift card for entry to World Spa and we had an amazing time! The place was spotless and although there were lot of people, it felt very spacious. The food was great, something for everyone! Looking forward to coming back after new years with my friends.
Really well designed and nicely built facility. I've been twice now. Great mix of rooms, enough to keep you occupied and relaxed for 3 hours.
Downsides: A bit expensive. They close at 10:15 - despite listing 11 on the website (lost 45 minutes). Also noticeably less cleanly the second time I visited. Dirt and debris in the saunas and and hot tub - though this was at 8PM on a Saturday so potentially just from a hectic day.
World Spa really was such a beautiful place to find. You can truly spend a WHOLE day there. It did get a little busy, would be nice to have a quiet room where one can lay down and rest too. You can kind of do that in the far infrared room or salt rock room. Overall a lovely experience. I would go back!
Just got back from the spa an hour ago.
The massage was amazing (at least for me, I did the therapeutic massage).
The place looks great but there is no jacuzzi at the facility.
It is very expensive even for a new place.
To pay that amount of money and not be able to stay there more than two or three hours, is kind off over priced.
Also, at check out I wanted to change the amount of the tip for the massage service, and I specifically asked the guy that was checking me out if I can do that.
He said, yes as soon as I print the receipt you will have an option.
So NO… what he did, was charge me the amount of the tip that was already in the system, plus the $15 that I thought I left after the change.
He knew what I asked, and still charged me extra $15.
I should’ve check again before signing, but what he did is very unprofessional.
I’m still giving this place 5 stars because they are fairly new… but I do have some suggestions for improvement that should be taken into consideration because this place has incredible potential.
Cons:
- When you arrive as a first timer, you have no idea where to go. There is no one to guide you or help you. It would be nice if someone stood by the locker rooms and gave you an overview of the facility. I hated feeling clueless for the first 30 minutes of my visit.
- You order electronically in the lounge ( although the waiters are very attentive) but there is no water on the menu. There is only sparkling water. Of course this place has water, but I had to ask the waiter if it is possible to swap sparkling water for steel water. It’s not a big deal, but something that can be easily fixed.
- The pool room is also the “main room” and it’s a mess. People leave their towels and it’s impossible to tell which lounge chairs are free or which are taken. Not to mention, they are very limited. No space to rest.
- A tea or water station would be great. I don’t think I seen one during my time at the facility, but I may be mistaking.
- Only 2 hair driers in the locker room.
- No cellphone policy should be enforced to some extent. It’s very annoying when you are trying to relax in a sauna and people next to you are taking 100 pictures or videos in the pool. A picture of the place is great, but when you spend 30 minutes dodging being in the back of photos, it gets annoying.
- I think there should be some security upon entering. In this day and age, people are unpredictable and it’s always good to check bags.
Pros:
-Check-in was quick.
-The workers are constantly walking around and cleaning. The place is definitely clean.
-The avocado hummus was great. Friendly waiters.
-Great saunas.
-Beautiful decor.
-Smooth locker process.
Overall, this place is really a blessing for the neighborhood. I am very happy that this project came to life. This place is beautiful with unique physical touches. I will definitely be coming here more often. I would love to get a yearly membership, but $5,000 is too much.
Overall had a good day. They are new so there’s definitely a few kinks to work out for sure. All of the rooms are beautiful and very well thought out. Very authentic feel for all the different “worldly” experiences. Also very clean. The ice water plunge then into the sauna was probably my favorite.
Now for some areas they fell short. It’s pretty understaffed and the staff seems like they don’t know exactly what they’re doing. Again, they’re new. It’s a little unorganized. for example, my friends and I all got foot massages. The masseuse was very friendly and very good. However, he was helping to direct traffic in the middle of my service and answeralso didn’t have a tablet or anything to keep track of his appointments or time. So he was running over and didn’t know who actually had an appointment or anything. Another downfall, have a dress code. Some of the people walking around were basically naked. I’m comfortably with my body and seeing it. But you’re at an upscale spa. I shouldn’t see someone in a G-string and nipple covers. And have rules for the rooms. People were very chatty and loud and taking up more room than needed. Def need rules posted. Overall, a good experience though.
What an amazing time my husband and I had. The staff was helpful, and the facility was kept clean. All the saunas, relaxation rooms and pools were great. The food and drinks were tasty as well. Just overall 10 out of 10 experience. Definitely going back!
World Spa is truly a gem! From the moment you step inside, you are transported to a serene oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. The staff are warm and welcoming, and go out of their way to ensure that your experience is nothing short of exceptional.
The facilities at World Spa are top-notch, with a wide range of amenities that cater to every need. The spa offers a variety of treatments, The ambiance of the spa is peaceful and soothing, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
What sets World Spa apart from other spas in the area is their attention to detail. Every aspect of the spa experience has been carefully curated to create a truly unforgettable experience. From the luxurious robes and slippers and every detail has been thoughtfully considered.
Overall, I would highly recommend World Spa to anyone looking for a little slice of heaven in the heart of Brooklyn. It is a truly special place that will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. So why wait? Book your appointment today and experience the magic of World Spa for yourself!
Unfortunately, the spa had a leak issue that was an inconvenience to my message treatment appointment. We were first told not to come in, and then they called two hours later with a follow up regarding the leak issue being resolved. Once arriving to check in, there was a miscommunication and a lack of communication between the staff. I was almost denied my message treatment because we came after the original appointment time. Even though, we were told that the spa might be closed; hence why we arrived after our appointment time. Due to all of this, check in was a hassle and a bit aggravating. Once check in was resolved, I had to settle for a different message treatment because the original message treatment that was paid for was no longer available (I was unaware of this change until receiving the treatment). The overall execution and presentation of the amenities was very nice and inviting. Lastly, the check out was another hassle because they were double charging my message treatment. It was very frustrating, but I was able to received a refund for the difference that was wrongly charged. I am not interested in coming back, after experiencing this for my early birthday present celebration.
World Spa is an experience unlike no other. The ambiance, decor, food and treatment rooms are exquisite. Once you enter through the doors of world spa you are treated wonderfully and like royalty. The detail of this spa are unmatched. After visiting this facility twice, I can’t wait to come back again.
Way too crowded on a holiday weekend. Women’s locker room only had 4 showers, all I use when I left. I could barely wash my hands after using the restroom because people were two deep at the mirror doing hair/makeup. No spare loungers in the salt room or infrared sauna, but the facilities I was able to use (Turkish steam room, hot/cold pools, saunas) were nice enough. No spare seats in the treatment lounge when I went in to check in for my treatment appointment.
They really need to cap admissions at peak hours for this place to be worthwhile.
I hosted a bachelorette here and it was a lot of fun. The place has a ton of different saunas, pools and steam rooms to use. You definitely won’t run out of things to do. We rented a cabana and it was a great experience. My only complaint is that it took some time for the food to come out, which made some of us a little late in leaving the spa (which results in a 25 dollar fee). The place is new but though, so it seems like they’re still figuring things out, and if it wasn’t for the 4 hour time limit that they have on weekends I wouldn’t have minded as much. Overall, we had a great time and I’d come here again to enjoy the facilities.
Services:
I had a great massage. My therapist tailored the massage to my needs and understood my problem areas due to childbirth/postpartum.
I had an amazing facial. We discussed that I was breastfeeding and omitted certain treatments that weren’t ideal for nursing moms. She walked me through each step and recommended a regimen and products. My face was literally glowing when I left.
Facilities:
Lots of saunas to choose from. The pool area was clean and beautiful. However, a few jets weren’t working in the main pool.
Food:
The food was ok. I found it to be a bit overpriced. There was only one server and the process was slow since there were a lot of folks seated at once to eat. It was so slow that I was over my time by 13 minutes by the time I was dressed to leave. 13 minutes that I was charged an extra $25 for since I only received 4 hours with my services ( which each service was an hour). If you plan to eat, factor in that you may also pay extra for the time it takes you to order, consume your meal and wait… if you also intend to explore the different saunas and pools.
Awesome experience! We did the cabana rental with the tasting menu (high-end culinary food ranging from tartars, salmon, sushi (rolls and nigiri), dumplings, fish and steak for entrees, and very good desert. Cocktails and various smoothies were a great compliment to the meal. The service from Vlad was excellent and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Overall the facilities are great - the spas / banyas were both beautiful and hot. Highly recommend a trip here with friends to enjoy a day at World Spa.
Come during the weekdays. The staff today 2/27 have been wonderful from security, registration, locker, towel, waiters and lifeguards. Bring slippers. This is a great oasis in NYC, don't expect it to be like sojo. My only complaint are the patrons with their cellphones in the main area making videos while we are all in pool relaxing. This should be heavily enforced. Otherwise, everything is great.
The first time I’ve been here was on a Saturday morning, very early. It quickly became crowded which was expected since it was a weekend. I spent most of the time in the large pool but didn’t get around to the other amenities bc of the crowd. At the second visit which was during a week day I fully enjoyed myself. I experienced all of the amenities including the saunas, pools, and cold rooms. The food was fresh both times but was room temperature. Service was always great overall! The best part was being able to experience (for free) one of the spa treatments that they offered during a short explanation of the treatment. I will definitely be back!
It was me and my friends' first time coming to the World Spa and the experience was amazing. As soon as we walked in we were attended.( mind you we didn’t have a reservation we just walked in) the process was quick! We signed a waiver and each of us got a bracelet for our lockers and to purchase beverages/food. The ladies at the front desk were friendly as well as the ladies in the locker room. Drink and food service was quick ( we only got three drinks and desserts), the dessert was amazing! Big shout out and thanks to the security guard who was kind and gave us a tour of the whole place. He explained the function of each room and even recommended which saunas were good. He even helped us get a table to sit and grab something to eat/drink. We are definitely going back without a doubt!
Gorgeous and immaculate with a great lunch menu. Each sauna experience is more magical than the next. The only negative is that it can get crowded. This is particularly problematic in the locker room where people are on top of each other and there can be a line for the shower. I'd say get there early!
This place is worth the visit - but until they make some changes, not worth revisiting.
What’s confusing to me is that the challenges I have are the same ones other negative reviews have.
On the plus side it’s clean, not crazy expensive, and the aesthetics are very nice. The staff are very nice and helpful. I can see this place being amazing but they need to make the changes stated in the negative reviews.
Cons
-the place is veryyy crowded and loud. For a spa, it’s definitely more of a social place (think groups of older men and young women) than a -go by yourself and relax place.
-there’s talking everywhere - even in the saunas! I get that the baths are more social but it was very annoying to hear large groups of women talking at full volume in a dark sauna.
-they need to install some drains or something because it is veryyy wet in the hallways.
-as others mentioned, there is quite a long check in process regardless of appointment.
-the pools are lukewarm. There’s not one hot hot tub which is weird and it’s not even hot.
-not any amenities to get ready with in the bathroom (no blow dryer, face wash, razor, q tips).
-the layout of the place has the pools to the left, restaurant in the middle, and saunas to the right. This means that from the saunas you can hear the restaurant and vice versa. A lot of wet sweaty people walking through the restaurant at all times.
And finally, the food was really hit or miss. We had some okay dumplings, a good carrot juice, and a very bad “charcuterie board” which was 75 percent fat. This could be just due to a misunderstanding but I’ve never seen raw pancetta on a menu before nor think it’s healthy to eat. That being said we did get it taken off our bill.
Overall worth the visit but they need to make changes to make us better and sustainable.
PROS: The place is beautiful ! I appreciate the amount of saunas and steam rooms , each with their own unique look. Clean, large and so much to do. I liked the restaurant and the food options , I didn’t drive but I believe they have a huge garage . I loved the ice room and I felt very relaxed
CONS: I believe it’s pretty new so that might be why but the staff seemed lost , not rude , but almost like they didn’t know anything. The lockers are in my opinion far from the pools and saunas and you have to walk past the front desk undressed to go up to the other areas …
The locker are really tight ,l
I came here this past weekend and the vibes were immaculate. The minute you walk in , the smell transports you to an oasis. At the desk , we were greeted by Carol (who was AMAZING). She made check in a breeze, very attentive and overall elevated our experience. The facilities were gorgeous and there were so many rooms to choose from. My favorite was the Moroccan steam room. I recommend coming in the earlier hours as you have more of a chance getting to try each room. We checked in at 10 am. Its valet parking for $15 only. Im sure you can find street parking with some motivation. Can’t wait to return !
Had a great experience with a weekday pass. Arrived around 10:30 am and left around 3 pm. It got busier as the day went on. I liked that the weekday passes are unlimited. Very clean, new facility. There were a good amount of people but rarely had to wait for a room. I will say, folks were quite chatty, even in the quiet rooms, so if that bothers you, it may not be the place for you. Sushi was great. My only gripe was that you had to use your cell phone to order food (I wanted to detox from my phone, too!).
Thank God that NEW YORK said he has such a European luxury spa. We hosted a private event at the spa and our entire group loved it. Definitely will be coming back soon.
Been here twice in less than 2 weeks. This place is amazing!!! They have great saunas, you feel really good afterwards. The food also is top tier, I love how clean it was compared to other spas. Also, Gustavo and Merjema were extremely helpful and lovely. Definitely will be coming back!
If I can give this place more than 5 stars I would.
Went there yesterday with my partner for Valentines Day for our first time to this Spa and really enjoyed the experience. Felt like it was a mini vacation - nice escape from reality for a bit.
I am very big on cleaniness and do not like places that are not clean, World Spa exceeded my expectations.
Food was very good as well.
Staff are very welcoming, helpful and respectful.
I have been to many different spas in NYC, and this is for sure on my top list.
Loved the experience, will be visiting this place again.
Saunas were absolutely perfect. Pool areas were great too. The only issue was the dining area. It was midweek. It wasn't packed yet even after 3 attempts we were left waiting for a tablet to order, then our food. One of the managers made up for it after we spoke to him but unfortunately this soured our experience a bit.
The facilities are stunning but there's room for improvement on how they're operating the place. I booked a massage, showed up 10 mins before, and was taken back 5 minutes late which was not made up for at the end of my session. For a massage this expensive, it's disappointing to not get the full 50 minutes. On top of that I was auto-charged for 20% gratuity for the massage which I was not warned about beforehand.
The saunas are beautiful and clean but none of the staff do anything to enforce the no phones and quiet talking rules so it was tough to relax and enjoy the space. There was one person having a long conversation on speaker phone in one of the saunas, to paint the picture.
To summarize, wouldn't recommend booking a treatment but worth going for a day pass - just be aware that it's more of a social ambience.
This place was excellent. Staff was very friendly and informative and helpful. Locker room was clean and spacious. Food was great and all of the spa amenities were exactly what they should be. The place has a lot to offer. I'll be back often, and I highly recommend it.
The greatest sauna in NYC, period. Spacious, clean with helpful and friendly staff great on the premises restaurant and bar. Yes, it is pricy, weekend day pass $120, restaurant tab $180 but you pay for what you get.
One con is that no phones allowed on the premises. Yet lot of Phone addict walking around and the staff don't say anything--I wish they did
Great afternoon with my girlfriends at world spa. Amenities were fantastic and incredibly clean. Sushi and wine were delish! It was a Friday afternoon so quite busy and occasionally my friends and I had to wait for there to be enough spots for all of us in some of the rooms. Next time I would definitely come in the morning or earlier in the week for a more Zen experience. My only negative feedback is that locker room areas were a bit cramped and only four showers meant there was a line. Also, spa ettiquete could be better enforced. Some people were talking loud in and outside of experience rooms which impaired the experience a bit. That was really the only negative. My girlfriend raved about the foot massage. I'll be back for sure!
Great new option for a spa day in the city - all very clean and well maintained. Despite a cold day it wasn't too crowded though certainly busy.
It would be great to actually enforce the cell phone policy - all these folks trying to fill their social media with pics are quite distracting.
I visited World Spa on. Tuesday, February 7, 2023. The World Spa is beautiful. I really enjoyed my time there, but the food was overpriced and not good at all. The portions were very small for what they are charging. When my friends and I reached checkout, we founded out that we were all overcharged. The manager was also very nasty. A few people were talking I’m the Salt Room while someone was asleep. She complained when she left and the manager came in yelling at everyone, like we were two years old. I would like to visit World Spa again, but I’ll make sure I eat before I come
I was so excited to spend the day here with my fiancée and our best friend. The facilities were beautiful and clean, and there are lots of varied saunas and pools to experience. However, World Spa needs to address a number of issues to make this the luxury experience they are hoping to deliver.
1. Wait times to check in on Saturday afternoon were more than 30 minutes.
2. Staff gave no instructions at check-in.
3. Most importantly, there were at least double the number of guests present than felt like comfortable capacity for the spa. As a result, we often could not enter sauna rooms or pools because they were already full of people, often with long lines to go in. This greatly took away from the relaxing atmosphere, and since the session is timed, meant we could not do the things that we wanted to do.
4. Our friend went to the cafe to get a bite to eat and waited 45 minutes for food that never came. This time was part of her four hour spa experience, so she wasted nearly 1/4 of her time sitting there and was never served.
5. Water is scarce, which is wild for a venue intended to make you sweat. There was one functioning water fountain that we were able to find. The cafe did not serve tap water - you had to purchase an $8 bottle.
Overall, World Spa has great potential, and I wanted to love it. But they must reduce capacity and work through some growing pains for me to spend money to return there regularly.
My amazing experience with world spa started from check in. Paula helped us, explain patiently everything , experience was amazing, very clean place, delicious food. Months later, we went back.Paula met us with her great smile again.had a little issue with locker room, but was solved in a minutes. Thank you Paula. Can’t wait to go back to celebrate my friends birthday and couple weeks. ❤️
Beautiful decor. They painstakingly created spas and saunas from around the world. The restaurant inside of the spa space is for light meals, please don't come famished. The staff is constantly cleaning and managing the water and spaces. I had an amazing Moroccan full body scrub treatment with the head of the team. They use really high end products that smell delicious. I purchased from the vendor directly and they are so luxurious to use in the treatment as opposed to those cheapie spas that use no name brand products. The check in gets too hectic on public holidays so I will only come back at mid day times. There are large groups of young people on those days. The system went down and it was chaos. But I don't expect that to be normative. I have already been twice. Fluffy robes. Full showers and all the amenities necessary. Clean locker rooms with lots of staff to maintain the space. Instagram pics from every angle. I loved that people felt so comfortable that every body type was in a bathing suit and it felt like all positivity.
All details looks beautiful. A lot of sauna options for everyone. Good food. Professional stuff
Had an overall good time at WorldSpa. Got my boyfriend and I the VIP package for his birthday which I will say was not worth it. For VIP you only get access to a lounge/restaurant and unlimited time, NOT access to different rooms/treatments or anything special. We stayed for about 5 hours and used all the same saunas/rooms as everyone else who bought a package that included 4 hours for much less $$. BRING YOUR OWN FLIP FLOPS - from what I understood we got those and robes upon check in, however they made us buy $15 ones if we didn't want to be bare foot. Facilities were nice, and it's definitely a nice change of pace from regular NYC. They are definitely figuring out a lot of kinks, we will probably come back but will buy the lowest $$ ticket and bring our own shoes.
I had a wonderful experience. It was my first spa day ever and it was also my birthday. The staff was amazing!!! From my check-in with Carol (she was wonderful), my massage with Lamont (fantastic), all the attention from all of the employees was the absolute best. There was only one thing that I really didn't care for and that was the total dis-regard to the cell phone ruling. It seems that everyone had their cell phones out.
We were there to celebrate our friends birthday. We had an awesome relaxing time. The spa was not overly crowded. It was easy to navigate and the restaurant service was fast. My only feedback would be ho get red of the 4 hour timeimit. We had to rush to get out in time.
Beautiful, spacious bathhouse with the potential to be great, but for the hefty price tag we were expecting more.
We came on a weeknight after work, so it was comfortably busy. I would not go on a weekend.
I was excited for the jacuzzis and hydrotherapy pool, but all were disappointing or broken. The hot tubs were warm, not hot, and the jets were weak. The hydrotherapy pool jets were “out of service” and the water was cold.
Saunas are beautiful, some of the wet ones had a bad smell. The salt room was not hot enough.
Check in is way too tedious and time consuming, why do they need to build a whole profile and take a picture of you to gain entry?
The spa is amazing! Every room is beautiful and I truly had the most relaxing experience from start to finish. The food is also really delicious!! From all the spas I have visited around NYC this one has to be by far the best and the nicest experience thus far. 10/10
I love hammam the most, and this place is unique because there is a large selection of saunas that you can try one by one and choose your favorite. I like the interior, the jacuzzi, the pool. on weekdays you can calmly swim as it is less crowded. delicious cuisine. Ukrainian varenyky with cherries are especially delicious. you should definitely try it. Friendly staff and everything is very clean. I definitely recommend!
This is a Beautiful spa! I had a great massage! I enjoyed the different saunas! They have a friendly staff and yummy food. I especially love their Jasmine tea! I will definitely be returning!
The Sleep room was very nice Aroma was not too strong and I actually felt comfortable the food was good the Greek salad but you're Martini's needs some more vodka especially when you're charging $17
I had an amazing experience at this beautiful spa. The amenities are simply wonderful, safe and clean. Overall,
this place is a dream come true for those looking for a relaxing day out in Brooklyn. The service was excellent and I will definitely return with my friends and family.
I was lucky enough to be the very FIRST customer and all my expectations were met. First off, the spa is STUNNING, and I really did not expect for there to be so many amenities and experiences. I really enjoyed the Moroccan and Turkish Hammam, the petite banya and the pool. Everyone was super accommodating, sweet, welcoming and showed me where everything was. I thoroughly enjoyed the spa, and I cannot wait to go back!
Excellent place! Bath service for every taste! delicious food, best massage! There is nothing like it in the US! I recommend to everyone
One word, WOW. Took my mother here for a little girls day and it exceeded all our expectations. We were very impressed that a place like this can even be in our very own neighborhood. Everything was perfect, we were able to enjoy all the amenities without any interruption and not to mention the food, wow… chefs kiss! Already booked our next girls day and we are counting down the days!
World Spa is a very ambitious concept, and I had a great time there--I definitely plan on returning again. I'm mindful that since it just opened, there are going to be a few issues to work out, especially if you're used to the smooth operations of seasoned operators (I'm a big fan of Sojo Spa in NJ for example), so I will lay out the best parts and room for improvement with the hope that this will be worked out as the spa gets its bearings. PROS: The facilities are brand new, well appointed, and gorgeous, the interiors were really nice, and the saunas and hammams were particularly terrific. Most of the saunas had really nice heat. The himalayan salt room could have been a bit hotter, but if the idea is for it to just be a place to take a nap and chill, it was a great place for it (comfy beds!). I enjoyed the petite and grand banyas, and there were venik branches that we could use (and some very helpful spa staff who helped). The food within the spa area was also good, with russian/eastern european focus but with spa vibes --I had some varenyky and kompot--both excellent. The plunge pools were fantastically cold in the spa area, and the option for a bucket douse in the showers by the banyas was a really nice touch. The locker rooms were sparkling clean and the showers were lovely. Overall I found staff to be kind and helpful. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: There's comments that the pools were not really working--when I went, the jet spas weren't fully functioning, and the temperature controls seemed off (it seemed that there were staff working on that issue while we were there, and a lifeguard mentioned it). So all of the hot pools were similar in heat. This is definitely something that should be worked on. There wasn't also much in the way of open lounge space, besides cabanas that looked like you had to reserve or were members only(?). The locker rooms could have had a bit more in amenities--usually the spas I have been to have toothbrushes and combs, for example. Definitely the biggest room for improvement is having slippers available for guestsit byo or pay $ for slippers. Every spa I have been to has provided complimentary sandals while there, mainly b/c it's a hygiene/safety issue you can't guarantee cleanliness with random slippers from outside, and the price of entry is on the high end of the megaspas in and around and outside the city, so complimentary sandals and shoe lockers would be a big room for improvement! Overall though, it was a a great experience with some small issues that I hope the management will work out as it grows into itself-but I will definitely recommend to others!
My niece and I enjoyed the experience in the world spa. It was super clean, and food was fresh and delicious.
I wish we experienced a traditional hammam experience with its scrubbing and exfoliating, but they were booked that day. I’m thinking to bring our own scrubs to use in the saunas, but I’m not sure if it is allowed.
I went to world spa for Valentine's Day with my fiance and it was amazing it was veey clean the food was great John showed us everything. Paola Which is the supervisor does an amazing job with handling anything and everything. And our Masseuse Were Paris and Alex hands like a rock star. They Can remove any pain or stress right out your body. Thanks again guys. Everything was amazing.
Nice place. Just went there with my husband. I would love to say thank you for the wonderful massage session with Karina. She is professional and she knows her job well.
If you are at the World Spa make sure you have appropriate to KARINA.
Her skillful hands and expert techniques really helped to alleviate the tension and stress in my body. I appreciate the care and attention Karina gave to my specific needs, and I left feeling much more relaxed and rejuvenated. Thank you for your professionalism and for making the experience so enjoyable. I look forward to my next session with you.
The overall experience was good except for the ridiculously slow reception (took 30 min until we got in but it may be faster if you book in advance). The saunas were great and food was better than expected. Would come again.
An amazing time!! Don’t let any negative reviews of others deter you. It was a remarkable experience. From the service, to the cleanliness, the food, the rooms. Treat yourself to a well deserved spa day!
Spending my birthday here was the best experience ever. I was inlove with the decor immediately upon entry and it just kept getting better and better as traveled thru the facility. All of the the staff-from check in to check out, especially Reginald who serviced us in the restaurant, made my day even more special with their incredible hospitality! It felt like my birthday really mattered to them and that mattered the most! I can’t wait to visit again.
This place is amazing. I want to gatekeep this place but I simply can’t. This place is not 3 stars. Massage was amazing. I booked another service after my massage bc I couldn’t get enough. The saunas, pools, special rooms (especially the snow room ??) are also amazing. Locker rooms and amenities are very clean. I came here on a Wednesday morning and it was not too crowded or loud. Previous review said there were some problems with lockers and bracelets - I haven’t had any issues so it seems like that issue was fixed. Restaurant wasn’t an extensive menu but it’s also a spa. Overall, amazing experience, highly recommend.
Beautiful place, very clean. Wish they provided shoes, and they're probably should be more access to water considering all the hot/steam environments offered. I had to carry around my restaurant-bought water bottle, only saw like one fountain. Food was delicious, friendly staff.
Enjoyed our time at the spa very much. Was truly a relaxing experience. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Venue was lovely and clean. Food was delicious. All very positive.
I overall did enjoy the place. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the place is very clean. Couple of things that weren't ideal for me are: the steam rooms didn't feel hot enough and the steam would quickly dissipate anytime someone opened the door. As well, the jets in the various tubs were a little weak for my taste. I would still go back, definitely on a weekday for a chill relaxing day.
While this place has some kinks to work out, I had an overall great experience my first time in world spa.
I booked a cabana for a party of 10 with the help of Vladimir who reached out after I submitted a request on the website. He was very attentive and helpful in every way. The cabana rental is $75/hour which is worth it for the comfort of having comfortable private seating to chill and dine.
We came on a Sunday at 5pm, so it wasn’t crowded by any means and felt like a nice relaxing atmosphere.
The food was good all around; presentation, taste, items. The drinks menu is huge and the drinks were actually amazing. Shout out to whoever their mixologists are.
The facilities are beautiful and spacious, and there is a staff member who walks around adding heat to the saunas so we got to sweat hard. They have a cold plunge pool which is essential for contrast, and an ice room where you’re meant to grab snow from the pile and rub it on your body as opposed to sit and chill. They have a nice heated pool to relax.
Their honey cake which they brought out with birthday candles for us was to die for delicious.
Some of the CONS are:
- Their system seems to be slow so check in can take some time. Arrive early.
- They don’t have a smoking area unless you are a member ($5k/yr) so nicotine addicts might want to have a vape handy to smoke when no one is looking. This is something they will definitely have to address in the future.
- Their staff can use better training to be better informed about the facility, and be more efficient.
- It’s pricier than all the other bath-houses in the area coming out to like $200-300/person after food and drink. But of course it offers a much more luxurious experience to enjoy.
My husband and I had a great time at World Spa. The facility and services are all state of the art, and as soon as you enter it feels like you're in a luxurious escape. Definitely recommend for a day of relaxation - the hot tubs and saunas are my favorites.
I’ve been to many spas around NY and NJ and this one was very beautiful but incredibly disorganized and stressful. You get a 4 hour limit then $25 per hour after. There were lines waiting for certain saunas. Not sure why the meals are table service. It eats into your time. We waiting 1.5 hours for our meals and to find out that they didn’t even have the salmon pizza we were waiting for after asking 3 waiters what the status of it was. This ate into our time at the spa.
The facility is pretty clean but paying for slippers is a bummer. I’m actually surprised they allow people to bring in their own slippers from outside. Who knows where people have been with their outside slippers. Makes me question the hygiene of the place. I’m also surprised they don’t make you bathe yourself before getting into the water. Also a hygienic issue…
Overall still enjoyed some of the saunas and pools. The spaces are very beautiful.
Designed for Instagram, not relaxation. Way, way too crowded - no visible capacity limits; felt like a zoo. Still brand-new, so facilities are nice & clean, staff is nice (if still learning), but many little problems which I hope they'll solve as they mature, such as sauna door hinges that close on their own so steam/heat doesn't escape when someone forgets to close the door on their way out (happened many, many times.)
Biggest suggestion to improve? Raise prices at busiest times but limit the total capacity, so they can make the same $$$ with fewer people and everyone can relax more. (BTW, they could also lower prices at less-busy times if they wanted to remain affordable.) As-is, we'd probably never go back because of the overcrowding. Takeaway: Nice for a selfie, but if you want to chill, look elsewhere.
It’s a beautiful space and I really enjoyed the different sauna experiences, heated pool, and especially the snow room as alternative to a cold pool. I didn’t give this a 5 star for two reasons: had to buy slippers separately (not included, had I known I’d have brought my own) and my salmon lox took 45 min. However I should note the server was very attentive, the manager gave me an extra hour on my stay — but some issue in the kitchen because even though server checked on order several times he was still coming out empty handed and there were only 4 tables. Anyway I will definitely go back!
I visited on a weekday and was glad of it, as the experience would be different if the spa was much more crowded. The spaces were very clean, great variety of rooms and jacuzzis, and the staff was generally friendly and accessible. Wish the food was a little better, especially for the steep price. I was happy to have my own flip-flops and water bottle. I left feeling clean and relaxed, would recommend to friends!
Had a great, relaxing experience here! Staff was very friendly, very clean place!
Will go through pros and cons:
Pros: absolutely beautiful spa. You can tell that every room, every detail, literally everything was well thought out and designed with impeccable taste. There are so many different types of rooms. It was really wonderful. I went with 3 other friends and we all really had a great time. It is really on a next level. We ordered cherry and potato vereneki and pelmeni. Taste was great but portions were small. We brought our own water bottles and you can fill them for free. There were a lot of very nice helpful staff everywhere explaining things. They do a ritual at 12ish and 4ish in the "big sauna". It was a nice touch. All staff encountered were very nice.
Cons: I'd like to think some of this will get ironed out since they're only open a week. A girl I chatted with told me the valet was $15 with no prior signage and the timed entry starts when she parked her car so she lost 30 mins. That really sucks. I did notice on my way out the valet parking sign with no money amount on it. They ran out of towels by 3pm. There are 2 Jacuzzis. One was out of order and the other was Luke warm with no working jets. The pools were nice but the jetted side was also not working. Now with the price. 85$ before 4pm for 4 hrs is somewhat on the high side. The 4 hrs goes quickly and then you feel a mad rush to shower and get ready to leave in time. I think they can relax that a little and give at least 5 hrs.
All in all I will definitely return. It's like a spa like no other and truly luxurious. Absolutely does not compare to spa castle or other local banyas. You do get what you pay for here.
I loved the spa. Everyone was nice, very helpful. The only problem was the valet parking. He said he never received the text that I was ready. He brought out the car and we tried to leave, there was two other cars trying to enter the parking lot. There was very little space to maneuver the car with the valet sign right on the street. Cars were honking and the valet wasn’t interested in helping the situation. My friend’s car got stuck on the valet sign, I got out to check the damage to the sign and car, he screamed at me to “just go, go !”. We moved the car further, and it was all scratched from the sign. WTH. We were so relaxed and calm after spending three hours in the spa. It was not a good experience at all.
Incredible experience. Miles above anything else in NYC. The design and scope of this place is breathtaking and the quality of the facilities and staff are top notch. Highly recommended , especially the aromatherapy sauna and the clay and hay sauna.
It has been absolutely an extraordinary experience to relax, recharge, enjoy, and have fun! I have never gone to the SPA before. However, I literally fell in love with all the magnificent anenities, services, and an amazing atmosphere to make you feel fabulous! I started enjoying this amazing experience every week, and I am looking forward to enjoy it as much as I can! Thanks so much!
Right now this place is a 4-star. But I'm going to give it 5 stars based on what I hope this place becomes after they iron out the initial kinks that I understand any brand new place has to figure out but are easy to fix.
What I liked:
- It's beautiful, super spacious, high ceilings, everything looks very very nice.
- The overall feel is high end. They're definitely aspiring to be a luxury spa and they succeed at that in my eyes.
- Lots of saunas to choose from
- Heat! They don't mess around, the saunas get hot!
- The plunge pool is nice and cold, as it should be.
- Staff is very friendly and they're trying really hard.
- The quality of the food is great! Portion sizes are generous.
What they need to work on:
Generally my points fall into the category of 'negative surprises' that I think can be fixed easily and I hope they do.
- There's nothing wrong with a hard time limit and you get charged if you overstay but it would be nice if you told clients when checking in very concretely: 'Your check in time is 3:24 make sure you check out by 7:24.'
- It would be great if there is more clarity on when the Aufguss and other procedures in the Banyas are done. I asked around 4 when there would be an Aufguss in the event sauna and I was told 6. Then at 6 nothing happened so I asked again and was told there won't be one. Having signs outside the saunas that put the schedule up for people to see would be great.
- Paying for slippers is unusual. Other places always have slippers. Either provide them or make it very clear when people book their experience on the website.
- The $35 minimum per head in the restaurant is silly. Please get rid of it. When in the sauna I just want a snack, nothing more. Blowing through $35 I was stuffed afterwards.
- Charging for tap water is also silly.
- This probably doesn't need saying but the restaurant staff was very unorganized. I'm going to chalk this up to it being a brand new team that's finding it's bearings so I'm sure over time this won't be a problem.
Group of 4, and we arrived around 2pm. We did not have a reservation, so we weren't able to get massages. No worries, we're here so let's just enjoy the facilities. We paid for the 4 hr stay ($88), and got a chance to try out the snow room, a few saunas, the pool and dining. I will say that the facilities are clean, so that's a huge PLUS!
Snow room was ok, nothing spectacular. You can have a snowball fight with your crew if you want, but the room isn't really big enough for that. The saunas were what you'd expect from a sauna. There was a venik platza demonstration going on inside one of the saunas so it was a bit crowded. What I did not like, and felt was very unsanitary (I declined) was the woman demonstrating the technique using the same bushes on everyone's sweaty skin. Gross to be quite honest! The pool was warm, and quite relaxing. The best part of our visit. We spent quite some time in there. The food I'd give a 2 out of 5, entirely not worth the price. We each ordered multiple different items, and out of everything, the eel roll, and pumpkin salad were the best! The honey cake, cheesecake, potato & chicken dumplings were a no go! The drinks were also very VERY underwhelming!
All in all, would I return? Possibly, but I'd have to be going for ONLY a massage because I would like to experience one specifically from there. However, if I'm looking for the entire experience of relax, massage, food; then the go to would have to be Bath House!
We had absolutely AMAZING experience! We came from Connecticut and spent wonderful day at WorldSpa! Michael gave us a great tour and Leonid explained what health benefits we are getting from each spa! The food was the freshest and totally delicious! We will definitely be back soon! ❤️💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 …
TL;DR this place is great but could be perfect with a few tweaks!
What everyone else said - lots of amenities, clean, beautiful space, enjoyed the events to help learn about the diff rooms. I will be coming back. The weekday price is a deal if you want to beat the crowd and an easy staycation option.
Suggestions / why I took off a star:
1. Please enforce the no phones rule / add signage in other languages. There are a lot of signs but visitors don't follow it. This may be a language barrier since the signs were only in english and the spa had a really good mix of language/culture. A man I don't know took a video of me on his phone as I was coming out of the cold plunge pool. When I confronted him and asked him to delete the video because it was without my consent, he refused to and refused to show it to me. There are a lot of no cell phone signs, but people are still on them and videoing and even playing music out loud EVERYWHERE. It kind of ruins the relaxation to sit in a room next to someone who is playing music out loud on their cell phone like it's the subway.
2. Please provide sanitized sandals as part of the experience. Allowing people to bring their street shoes in as sandals brings in street dirt and germs. Many spas do this to prevent that.
3. Make more fresh towel stations on the main floor. It's common to swap towels between experiences since the towel is often a barrier between you and another person's sweat. Most people will go through a few. It's also really easy to lose track of yours. I felt like I had to hunt down the employees setting up the massage cabanas for extra towels if I didn't want to go back to the locker room every time. They were super generous, but still I felt like I was taking away from their prep.
4. Put signs up explaining that the showers are there for you to take a courtesy rinse off after a sweaty experience before jumping into a pool. I think this may not be common knowledge for everyone and having so many showers was awesome, but I'm not sure people knew what their purpose was.
Generally - I think a lot of the people haven't been to a spa and don't know the etiquette - which is ok! This is an opportunity to share that with more people and provide some etiquette tips to help everyone have the best experience. It's great that this place is accessible, relatively affordable, welcoming to all and even nods to many different spa cultures in it's rooms. I would love to see more signage or information that helps educate newbies / remind frequent spa goers how to be clean, polite, and best enjoy their experience while being considerate of others.
The spa is beautiful and everyone was very welcoming. The hammams, saunas and pools were great. Lunch in the lounge was also good. I just think they need more space for lounging if you're not in the sauna. The pool area is small and is missing light and windows. We couldn't find a seat and it was a Monday early afternoon not the busiest day I imagine but still felt packed. On the weekends it will be way too crowded.
Locker rooms are clean and have all the amenities you would need. They should provide slippers or at least mention when registering to bring your own. Other spas include them in the admission fee. I was surprised when I showed up that I had to buy slippers or go barefoot.
Some people are inconsiderate and had cell phones in the saunas. I don't care to hear your games or videos in a spa setting. On weekends I imagine it's worse. LOTS of people endlessly taking selfies too. I think people miss the point of a spa! This isn't the spas fault but PSA you're there to disconnect leave the phone in the locker!
What a dream! I don’t have to drive to Flushing for Spa Castle anymore. This place is gorgeous, but it’s more than just instagrammable. The experiences in the spas are rejuvenating, it was constantly being cleaned, and the staff was so friendly, even through the check out (thanks, Gloria!). Can’t wait to return.
Very beautiful facility, everything looks luxurious and spotless. They even have a heated floor in the locker rooms. My only issue is the saunas are not hot at all. Russian Banya is cold (194F max) , Moroccan hammam was also cold. If your are not from a Russian speaking country you will be ok with the temperature. The other issue is the food. The menu is scant. I have ordered cod, ordering a side was not an option, same applies to salads, you can not order an add on like chicken or other protein choice. The cocktails were amazing .
Wow, where do I begin? 😍
WORLD SPA was even more amazing than I could have ever imagined. The facility was huge, clean, versatile and very upscale and elegant. The staff was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable. I especially remember Paola being very delightful to interact with because she made the check-in process very smooth, efficient and fun. ☺️
The amenities were fabulous, as well! I particularly enjoyed the Pool area with the different pools with different temperatures as well as the large sauna where they host little events at specific times of the day, in an effort to spark interest in some of the spa services offered. The aroma sauna was also very relaxing and soothing. I never would have expected to enjoy a cold shower afterwards but world spa has definitely changed my mind about that as well. VERY refreshing! 😍
It honestly felt like I was away at a resort somewhere amazing and tropical. You completely forget that you’re in Brooklyn when you’re inside the facility. I was honestly worried that the train outside of the facility was going to be a nuisance, but you don’t even remember that it’s there while you’re enjoying yourself inside the underground facility.
I’m definitely looking forward to coming back here soon to treat myself every so often and I think I might need to purchase all of their soaps, skincare and merch, Lol! 10 out of 10, would recommend! 🥰
Loved world spa ! Went the first week of opening and was pleasantly surprised . All the saunas were unique and beautiful . I really enjoyed the snow room it was super cool and unique . The reason for the 4 stars instead of the 5 is the food options . Happy they serve alcohol however the menu is limited . Wish they have more basic options including finger foods .
One of the best hidden gems in Brooklyn. The staff are warm, welcoming and attentive. Place does fill up fast, however it is infact utterly relaxing. Each room is a different sauna or steam roam focusing on something specific whether it be respiratory, detox, circulatory, yet overal wellness. Enjoyed a late lunch I recommend the beet salad and I enjoyed a spritz. Love coming here and will be back again. Also you must attend their daily rituals where they showcase specific treatments at the spa. I was chosen and it was fun and relaxing and everyone in the banya got to do it. Love this place
Gorgeous interiors and finishes! Very relaxing environment with every type of spa amenity you can imagine. I loved the international food menu at the lounge. Will be going back for sure
The most incredible spa experience ever!!! The best place to chill and unwind any day of the week. The food is as incredible as the ambiance. The services are top notch and so is the staff. Go go go, it's a must!!!!
Amazing spa and experience! I plan on coming often and highly recommend! The hostess was extremely kind and helpful and the employee at the concierge desk was amazing. Great staff and beautiful energy. I can’t wait to come again and relax. The food was delicious and I even went to the restaurant REN downstairs and had an amazing meal and amazing drinks. This is the place to go to!
The place is amazing. The wait time on entry was longer than I expected Thus, it reduced my 50 minutes massage time. However, I got to spend some time in the sauna and tour their unique spa.
I had a great time at the world spa with my husband. The problem was that everyone has the same robe and I wasn’t sure which is mine after each experience and one time someone took mine and I had a receipt from the restaurant in the pocket. It would help if the robes were numbered so we would know which is ours. Also in the salt room which is supposed to be a quiet space people were talking loud to each other and in their phones and the towels on the lounges weren’t changed after people used them. There needs to be more regulations but overall it was a nice experience for us.
mixed feelings about this place. beautiful decor. loved the saunas and the pools. but they should really implement the “no cellphone policy” and do something about people having loud conversations in every room. it ruined the experience for me.
The facility was clean and beautiful. I will return again. However, the 4 hour max per session was too tight if you include dining. Food service was very slow and absorbed too much time from my 4 hour limit Finally, you need to be hydrated if using the sauna; therefore, $8 for water is price gushing. Next time, I will not dine and bring my own water.
The spa is truly amazing and has everything you need. It is great to come by yourself or with your significant other, next time I am planning to come with a group of friends and get their cabana. I have tried the Veniki treatment with chocolate and wow, I was so impressed. I felt so relaxed and refreshed. I love that they have a restaurant with such a variety of dishes and drinks. I’ve tried the milky oolong tea and caviar dip, wow that dish was very unique, perfect for the spa. Then I’ve had a daisy daiquiri cocktail and sushi platter. Was so pleasantly impressed by the quality and presentation of everything. Finally a place you can come to enjoy yourself with great food, ambiance. Service was very friendly and attentive. It’s not like any other spa around NYC, especially for their restaurant offerings. They also have this cool looking club upstairs.
This place is so beautiful and has made me feel at home the staff is incredible and the drinks hit the spot I recommend the honey cake and this is now my favorite bathhouse to date
The Banya was great but several saunas weren’t hot (80 degrees even though the signage outside said they should be 100+). Spa water dispenser and towels more easily accessible would be great (and should be expected for the cost) and we ended up getting charged for an extra hour bc we were never given clear instructions as to when our session ended. Note that the time you spend in the locker room waiting for the shower will count toward your time! Overall some of the details just aren’t really there, I’d give it 3.5/5 particularly in comparison to other similar day spas in NYC.
The review has pros and cons:
PROS: the facility is beautiful
The sauna are fantastic! Very very hot like they should be (very difficult to find in other spas overall) they offer rituals like in Europe (various 🍃 leaves and aromas) they offer a version of the Aufguss ritual (moving hot towels to create more heath and the use of essential oils/erbs) love HOT SAUNAS!
They suggest a proper use of the SAUNAS with a COLD PLUNGE after wards and followed by more SAUNA. The proper way!
Steam rooms were nice and hot as well.
Hot tubes had very weak jets but were warm.
CONS: THE CROWD!! Unfortunately it’s very difficult to relax when everyone and I mean everyone is taking selfies and watching YouTube videos during sauna and even inside the salt relaxing room.. I mean full of disrespectful peoples..
It’s not the owners fault I understand they need to adv on social as it is new but they should create an etichette and instruct people that they can watch video but absolutely no volume come on!! Honestly a stricter PHONE POLICY should be in place.
I didn’t try the food It seemed very good.
Overall great with some adjustments!!
The food is amazing. Like just regular food in the chill area. The restaurant food…phew. All of the amenities are amazing. When you’re here you feel like a pampered cup of success. You leave feeling like a billion dollars.
Pros
The place is beautiful
The locker room is clean and nice
There are numerous experiences to be had and each room is great
The staff are nice and attentive
The food in the lounge is actually pretty good
They service alcohol
The carrot ginger juice is amazing
Cons
Pretty far trip on the train
No slippers provided and no prior notice to bring your own
Service can be really slow
Ordering at the lounge is a total mess
Back jets in the pool were not functioning and no one was around to help
Not many amenities in the locker room for getting ready after your day
They charge you for staying over 3 hours if you've only purchased a service rather than a day pass, without prior notice
The lava salt room is always packed and there is no time limit, so guests stay very long
Loved it.
Not as many pool/jet options as spa castle. Loads of sauna and steam options. Beautiful interiors. Super clean.
Do not miss the event in the event sauna. That was my fav part. This week it was us and every school teacher from brooklyn but there was still plenty of room to do anything we wanted. One pool was closed and one jet was out of order - fixing it friday they say.
My new obsession. It’s great, worth the price of admission. Like spa castle for grown-ups. We went on a weekday, which I highly recommend, it was just the right amount of people, which makes me wonder if weekends are more crowded.
Worth it. Easy to get to via transit.
I don’t know how busy it gets, but my mid-day, weekday trip was fine, even with lots of folks. Most people seems to migrate to the dining area and big pools—neither of which held any interest to me—so I was happy bopping from hot rooms to cold blast showers. It’s a lot to try, and for a newcomer like me, was a good way to see what I liked most and least.
There is no way I would have brought my phone in with me. Many people did, but there’s far too much humidity and opportunity to lose it. Leave it in your secured locker. Give yourself a better chance to disconnect a bit.
Bring water, (the bottle in the pocket will help you identify which is your bathrobe) stay hydrated, and grab two towels at the desk inside: one for sitting on and one for wiping off that freezing water blast.
The swimsuit dryer was very helpful. The staff was very helpful. The crowds were not a big issue.
If I did this sort of thing a lot though, I might decide the parts I like best and find a place that was a little less instagram-ey/young touristy and a little more personal. Cheaper, of course, would also be nice. But I did not feel I paid too much for one visit.
I was so excited to visit World Spa for my day off.
The spa is beautiful. However, I'm not rushing to return.
Upon arrival everyone waits in the same line even if you already purchased your admission. The line was long.
They do not provide slippers which was not made clear. I had to purchase a pair.
The lockers rooms were kept clean, you receive robes and towels.
The bracelet you receive opens your locker and is used for payment. It does not have your locker number so remember it.
Upon entry to the main floor, there is a staff stationed but no one really speaks to you or offers direction unless asked.
We wanted to eat first. The menu is ok but over priced. We ordered 2 salads, coffee and one appetizer to share and the bill was $100. I'm not sure why we had to ask for water at a spa 🙃. Upon asking it sounded like the waiter said its usually bottled water being sold but they ran out so he could pour us some.
Gratuity is automatically added even if the service is sub par.
There are multiple saunas, steam rooms and pools.
The jets weren't working in the pools. The "hot tubs" were really just small pools and onto plunge pool was open. The other was out of order.
The steam room didn't really steam, a worker came in to use a towel to spin the steam down.
We went back to the restaurant again before leaving stood next to the sign that says please wait to be seated and watched 2 workers talk and ignore us. This time though we received water without asking this time. Ordered two meals and 2 drinks and again $100 or alittle over. No one came back to check if we were ok. Just to clear the table.
My biggest issue was the availability of water throughout. They had 2 school water fountains at each end.
Typically at a spa there is "spa" water... usually infused with fruit.
If I'm going to a spa I don't want to have to walk around with a water bottle.
World spa you guys should work on your customer service skills
Rethink this automatic Gratuity if your staff gives subpar service
Maybe have a fast track line for those who took the time to pre purchase
Provide slippers
Have more water stations
Work out the kinks to the pools.
I wish you all the best.
I really enjoyed my time at World Spa. I was there on a Saturday and it was kind of crowded - if you have the option, try to go during the week or get there as soon as they open. I saying this cause I believe you would have the opportunity to explore the specialty rooms and the saunas on your time... When I was there, there were some lines for some rooms. My favorite part were the pools and the salt therapy room (I don't love saunas). Also, I had a facial - Hydrofacial - and I can't recommend it enough. Nina, the esthetician, was amazing, and my skin was radiant even days after. Definitely recommend. The lounge restaurant has healthy and delicious options. Oh, and some guests were very rude... when I was at the salt therapy room they would get in to check if there were empty chairs (you can see this from outside), interrupting whoever was in the room by laughing and talking loudly.
The facility was really impressive.
Maybe a little bit too crowded between 3-4:30pm - but from 5pm it was fine .
The restaurant is way too expensive. Service was a bit too slow .
I enjoyed and was able to relax for 4h. I am satisfied !
Flew straight from Florida to visit this place. Me and my husband had wonderful time. Great, clean facility, one of the owners Michael was very friendly and communicative and helpful. Had great experience, definitely will be back soon.
My experience at the spa was beyond and over. From the sophisticated design to the superb customer service. It was 5 of us, so we rented a cabana, that gave us a private and even exclusive vibe;) My fav place was Aroma Sauna with all the scents from the herbs hanging from the ceiling. I looooved Veniki treatment. Something worth coming back for. It helped alleviate pain in my muscles after my recent coming back to the gym lol. It is definitely a destination place, with valet parking, a couple of dining places and a lot of rooms to explore. 5/5
Very clean and beautiful, enjoyed all the rooms very much
One major down side is there is one yes only one water fountain in the whole place so while you’re sweating from all the rooms and detoxing good luck finding water ! Bring your own water refillable water bottle!!! And the kitchen also closes between meals so make sure you plan when you want to eat
This place was great, very clean and a whole lot to offer. A little pricier then Spa Castle but well worth it, they also let u wear ur own slippers or footwear at Spa Castle u have to be barefoot or are forced to buy there overpriced slippers. Will definitely return 👍🏼 …
The spa was great. Very beautiful and I didn’t even expect anything like that in Brooklyn. Snow, banya-great!! But the only thing is the restaurant/cafe sone. Waiters were not attentive to us!!
Like didn’t see us at all. After we finally placed our order we waited for food to arrive about 30 mins and it was really cold. But everything else is amazing. Next time I will not go to the cafe zone!
Did not like that people wore their shoes throughout the spa. Prefer spas that ban shoes to make the amenities cleaner. Was much smaller than anticipated. Often couldn’t find an open seat. Only one floor. There are better spas in the boroughs.
Nice beautiful design but
1. There is no cell phone charger. Even concierge or reception couldn’t help me even though I was saying I have to get an Uber somewhere. No help at all.
2 . Messy water in jacuzzi
3. No attentive service in a restaurant.
4. No towel station close by saunas
5. No cotton pads, q tips, lotion in a changing room.
6. Not well organized area in a changing room at all due to no trash cans next to counters with mirrors and where they are actually meant to be.
However Banya experience with banschik Leonid was incredible.
Ahhhhh! This is by far the best bathhouse experience I've ever had in NYC. And I've been to them all. World Spa is the cleanest. And so many rooms! It's well worth the price of admission. Thank you World Spa!
The ambiance at World Spa is second to none. The interior design is elaborate and the facilities are maintained well. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Good times we’re had by all :)
Love this place! Beautiful, CLEAN & amazing staff. NYC needed a place like this! The venik treatments make you feel reborn and all the facilities are unique, fun & relaxing. Truly a luxury and a must!
This place is fantastic, but I believe we had a wonderful time because we went in the late morning (no line to check in), ordered lunch just as the kitchen switched to their lunch menu, and left by 3pm. Go early, get breakfast or order lunch at 12:45, and bring flip flops. You’ll have a great time if you do those 3 things!
My friend and I loved the place. There is absolutely nothing not to like. The space is new, modern, and very clean. The food was amazing, service was tentative and polite.
I booked Venik treatment and I would say it's a very authentic treatment. You would have had the same experience in Syberia or other parts of Eastern Europe. Highly recommended!
P.S. A little pricy than Sojo spa, but Sojo is in NJ, so I believe it is a great alternative in Brooklyn! Well done.
Leonid was amazing and explained everything about the spa. Also the hostess was so very polite and helpful.
The place is extremely expensive. They marketed the place well but in reality this place is small and doesn’t give you a luxury vibes. The food wasn’t good at all. This place is extremely overcrowded. You don’t have space to move around.
I was pleasantly surprised to see such a sprawling building full of awesomeness! The facilities are impeccable and I loved the options for healthy food choices. The saunas were great!
Amazing experience! Beautiful saunas with different heat levels and aromas. Loved all the rooms. The only thing I wish is that it was an all women’s spa. Or if it had certain days of the week where it was all women day
Very cool and relaxing place. Lots of different saunas and steam rooms.
Had an amazing time , from the security guiding me , to my massage ! Beautiful environment. I love this place I will be back
I got a wonderful hammam treatment from Rebecca that left me so wonderfully soft. She provided good conversation and even gave me book recommendations. I loved the pools and saunas, especially the infared red sauna and the turkish sauna. I however wasn’t pleased by having to tip a whole 20%, as i was just planning to round off the already 183 treatment to 200.
The treatment is excellent, one of the best spas I've been in a long time, very clean, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff; Leo was very kind to explain all the applications of each one of the rooms they have here, I'm definitely coming back.
Loved it! The whole place is super clean and staff very nice and friendly, I’ll definitely coming back
We had the best day! The spa is well maintained, very clean and so many options! Each new room and pool presented a new experience. The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. A+ on the snowball maker in the snow room - we took full advantage. The internet service in the café wasn't working but all was easily resolved with the helpful staff. One item to note- we decided to get showered and changed and finish our day with dinner and drinks back at the spa café. We only found out after changing that we were not allowed back to the spa in street clothes (even the security guard that asked us to leave was super nice and polite). A well placed sign could have saved the day. Overall a wonderful experience that we plan on repeating again and again.
what a beautiful place. very spacious rooms, two hamams (greek style is great, turkish style had little smell). infra red have comfy chairs, salt room even have a tibetan bowl so you can meditate and enjoy the sound, and many more. can't comment on food, didn't try yet.
I was really excited but made the mistake of not taking the negative reviews more seriously. The experience overall was fine - the snow room in particular was nice - but completely soured by every interaction with the staff in the lounge.
Food and drinks are unnecessarily expensive, and you won’t be getting them anytime soon after you order. Our food and drinks were constantly delayed if not incomplete altogether, and when I requested a refund for a drink that I didn’t get after 45 minutes, it was met with unexpected snappiness and refusal. I was made to feel like it was my fault for not knowing that they’d run out of Prosecco, despite the fact that there was no notification on the site and no one came by to let us know. The charge had gone through anyways, and when the time came that we were in our last hour of our visit and trying to leave and enjoy the rest of our experience, trying to sort that out was more difficult than expected or necessary. Above all, at least remove the 15-minute expectation on food and drinks, as it’s not at all accurate, and wait until ALL food and drinks are out before you actually charge someone.
If you’re going for the experience, just manage your expectations accordingly. The saunas and rooms themselves are fine - but either come full or have plans get some food afterwards, or expect to waste unnecessary money. It’s not worth the $10 and 30 minute wait for a single bottle of water.
I’m rating this place 4 stars. I love the amount of amenities we had access too. We were not given slippers and not sure why but that should be instructed at check in. The waiter at the restaurant took a long time to take our order so we said forget it and went into the jacuzzi.
Great spa to relax and reset. The place is beautiful, you don’t even feel like you’re in Brooklyn. It does get a crowded so I will recommend going early, the restaurant service was slow and inattentive. I sat at a table for about 30-40 mins and no one came to take my order. I would advise eating before or after, other than that I had a great time. The hammans are amazing!
Finally a Spa in Brooklyn !!! Woohoo 🎉🎉🎉The steam rooms and saunas are all beautifully tiled with amazing colors. I love the wall murals near the pool and jacuzzis. They have 2 cold plunge pools. Definetly good for circulation and if you're looking for challenge. Very clean and professional staff. Food was exceptional as well Do try the potato and leek soup 🍲 😋 The best I ever had. Also, they had a wonderful tea selection with exotic flavors. Things you should be aware for this spa is that they have a 4 hour time limit. Any stay after the time limit will result in additional hourly charges. Also, I recommend going early any time past two becomes a bit over crowded for me. It was a spectacular experience and next time I will be booking massages. Enjoy!!!!🥰🧖♀️🙏🏼❤❤
I was expecting your average run of the mill spa experience…boy was I pleasantly mistaken!!! I loved everything about this place and I have to be honest…I’m super picky, so for me to say love- this place is great!
My high level overview:
• extremely clean (in an awesome OCD way)
• amazing customer service (even when super busy)
• killer food/ cocktails
• great experience rooms (sauna, steam, pools, snow, salt room, etc)
• skilled masseuses
• other patrons were courteous and respectful
• locker room has a bathing suit dryer
• contactless checkout
• comfy robes
…and I can’t wait to return!!!
World Spa is positioning itself as an upscale venue but truly lacks upscale customer service. For the amount of money they charge, customer service should be top notch.
It is a beautiful space beautifully designed. It's pretty clean (other than women's showers) and you can enjoy your stay probably even more if you come during off hours.
Restaurant service is slow and forgetful. You'll have to ask many times for anything you need. The fact that you were seated is a "favor" and make sure you eat (dha?). Cleaning ladies at women's locker are not friendly and look annoyed with you being there and giving them work to do.
But the best of the best is you'll get charged $25 each for staying over 4 hrs (on top of $120 each that we paid!). That's $145 for a banya visit just the entrance fee! No one mentioned anything about the 4 hr limit to us either on the phone when we called to book nor at check in!! Apparently, it does say somewhere on the site but we didn't book it through the site! We just called on our way there and we told them it was our first time visiting! I asked to speak with the manager who was pretty arrogant and unfriendly and not customer oriented at all. He made me wait thinking that I would probably give up and leave or just disappear. Once they saw there was an issue the whole check out team was avoiding eye contact and making it seem like I wasn't there. The "manager" started to take care of customers who came behind me completely ignoring me! He did end up refunding one fee out of three when I confronted him but the way it was done it was like giving change to a homeless to just get rid of me. Just discussing customer service. And my friends didn't get a refund at all. This last bit spoiled the whole experience for me and I will think twice before giving another chance.
On top of it, they take your ID (driver license or passport) and they take all the info down. Who knows what they do with it after. It surely not just to check your age.
Pros: the place is beautiful and clean, design is amazing
Cons: we felt rushed when we were told we have 4 hours and got to leave or pay extra on top of the already high weakened admission fees. Would not spend there more than half a day anyways, but that limitation made us feel uncomfortable. It takes me 30 min to dry my hair and get my makeup done lol
Spent 4.5 hours here and loved it. I enjoyed the warm pool and the different sauna rooms ranging from really hot 200 degrees to as low as 100. The dinning area was nice and food was good.
Can’t wait to come again! The venik was beyond beautiful and helpful for my body..the atmosphere was purely relaxing and vacation like. Merjema recommended the venik and I can’t thank her enough for that, she was knowledgeable and kind. The staff and amenities are sweet and amazing…simply great and I am so happy I came! Clean and the food was yummy too!
Beautiful space with lots of different spa experiences but when we went, it was a bit too crowded for a relaxing experience and for how much you pay for entry. I think I still prefer SoJo spa for a more relaxing spa experience despite that it's farther away from the city.
This Spa is something else, no expense was spared here. You can tell that whoever created this establishment paid attention to every detail. Once you step in you forget you’re actually in Brooklyn on McDonald avenue. Food and drinks are just as expected, excellent. Spacious beyond belief nothing in Brooklyn comes close. If you want quality and getting your moneys worth, come to World Spa!
After all the rave and mixed reviews we decided to check out world spa anyways..When I tell you this place is amazingly beautiful..Everything was beautiful..I only have a few suggestions for the owners..Please make the Himalayan room more salty as it should be , add massages in the morning or all day long and please have more stuff added to your breakfast menu..My fav places were the hot rooms , snow room and the aromatherapy room..Those different types of spices and herbs or whatever they are called were magical to my insides. It was a day well spent ..ooh the staff is the BEST..Very nice, welcoming and attentive..Vlad and the staff at the restaurant were amazing..We will be back soon and has already let our family and friends know to check this spa out..It was an amazing experience ....Thanks to all..
Day pass, enjoyed during non-peak hours, clean, modern. From the outside you wouldn’t be able to tell everything that awaits inside
It is one of the best SPA I ever visited. Everything is perfect, All saunas are taken great care of with ideal temperature. All new and clean.
This was definitely an interesting experience. Aside from the prices, for 4 hours, this was an awesome way to chill out and unwind. I have to say though, I saw a young woman, totally nude just walking around the whole place and coming into steam rooms and the pool. Extremely sus and uncomfy. Lady was in a white mesh cover up and wore it like a bathing suit. Not just her areolas!!! Her whole nipples were out, her pubic region was OUT. I was soooo disturbed. She sat right in front of my partner and spread her legs in front of us. Legitimately one the weirdest experiences of my life to say the least. But needless to say, this didn’t ruin the experience lol. we had an awesome time but this was definitely a traumatic part of it 🤣🤣
Beautiful new spa option in deeper Brooklyn. Went on a Thursday afternoon which seemed like it might be the busiest day according to Google but it was not crowded at all. Luxe surroundings and design, still pristine, very clean and relaxing atmosphere in general, although the jazzy music in the pool section was a bit much and could be toned down. The onsen was the best, dipping between the cold and hot pools and feeling my heart pumping and blood vessels capillaries explode. Loved the steam rooms as well (despite the unsightly fat black pipe plumbing that's photoshopped out of the photos). Would have been nice to have a blast of aromatherapy from time to time but an attendant does comes in and whip the air around to help the steam circulate. Food also excellent - they have a lot more options than what's on the website. Service great but would help if all the staff were more aware of facilities, e.g. a woman asked where the onsen was and the staff member didn't know what she was talking about. Changing rooms are very clean, someone is constantly moping up wet areas; lockers were a little cramped though, surprised there weren't more showers but they were very roomy. Would recommend bringing your own flip flops and refillable water bottle - they have a couple of water fountains but there's no lemon water as in most spas. All in all a lovely experience, and good contender/contrast to Sojo (World Spa is all underground whereas Sojo is multi-level with open air). Will be back!
I’ve never been to a cleaner spa!!! they had employees cleaning the spa throughout our entire visit. Aside from that every single room was beautifully detailed.
Highly recommended
Amazing place, hands down to everyone, who made an effort to open such a wonderful place!
You can feel how everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Each sauna as a separate art form🎨. Completely satisfied with my first experience in WordSpa, I definitely recommend it to you 😊
My experience was so wonderful!! Christiana did a great job with my massage and the overall ambiance was very relaxing.
Staff was very friendly and professional (Hi 5 Anya!) see you soon!!
Most beautiful spa in NY! Friendly staff, great food, very clean and stylish ❤️ Amazing experience with my friends
Went during the week with a day pass and had a wonderful time. The spa is gorgeous - there are so many saunas and the pools are wonderful too. It was very easy to spend a whole day there. However, I think that the spa needs to work out a few things.
First, I was disappointed by the fact that they don't offer free slippers. I've been to many spas, and this is the first time I have experienced this.
Second, the dining experience is currently more complex than it needs to be. They have a strong preference for using the QR code at the table for ordering, but the site was not working well when we were there. On top of that, the site listed items that WERE NOT ON THE MENU. I don't mean that they had run out. I mean the items were not on the menu. We learned this when we were finally able to order from a person after asking repeatedly to order with a person and not a phone or the tablet that was provided to us. We spoke to a few other people at the spa and they had had a similar experience with the online ordering not working. The wifi was also poor. When we went back to order drinks, the tablet would not work and the waiter could not take our order with his device. He eventually gave up and gave us paper menus. While I appreciate the desire to be more eco friendly, it seems like their website needs some updates before they can rely on this 100%.
The check in process was a little similar- they have kiosks at the entrance door for self check-in, which again brings you to a website on your phone. The wifi was slow and this process did not work so we checked in with a person. It's also tbh a little weird that the check-in doesn't just happen at the kiosk?? The kiosks literally only have QR codes that direct you to a website on your phone.
Lastly, while I appreciated how clean and nice the changing room experience was, I do wish that the room had more amenities like lotions, serums, etc. I would also recommend that they have plastic bags readily available for customers to put their bathing suits in. I was thankfully able to ask an employee for some though! However, i think that having bags readily available, maybe even just waiting for customers in their lockers, is something that could go a long way. So that's it for where there's room for improvement, imo.
The checkout process was very smooth and self-explanatory. I'll probably come back some time. Despite a few hiccups, I really had a great time here with my friends and definitely recommend!
The best part was the novelty. It's a new spa. Front desk staff were very friendly, professional and polite. Several nice saunas with decent variety. Plenty towels and locker room staff always present to keep floors dry. However, cleanliness/sanitation in the general spa area was a concern for me. If you don't care much about germs or you're not a germaphobe in the slightest, you'll be fine. Do be aware that shoes are optional and staff members do walk around with shoes. There's no signage or instruction not to wear street shoes. Slippers are available for purchase or bring your own. There are sinks in the locker rooms but no hand sanitizer anywhere so bring your own if you want it. Only complimentary source of water is the water fountain but cups are provided. Robes are provided but optional. Definitely saw a few male staff staring down female patrons ( I'm sure there might have been male patrons doing the same). If that bothers you keep your robe on or wear a more modest suit.
Treated myself for my birthday yesterday and I must say 10 out of 10 I do recommend. There was a little mixup on my end with my booking and they were very kind and accommodating with rescheding one of my service so that I could have a full service experience. The place is well kept and the staff is friendly. I go back today for my facial. GET THE HAMMAM BATH IT'S TO DIE FOR. The place is pricey but you get your money's worth.
We had an amazing experience at the World SPA. Very relaxing, great amenities and super clean. Most importantly, adults only. Highly recommend for a self care day.
On the menu has the CHICKEN KYIV try this food it was so delicious 👍👍👍 …
First my experience with the spa itself is that its absolutely clean & it makes me feel like Im somewhere in Switzerland! Not only is it beautiful but the staff was extremely welcoming one in particular her name was Merjema, she greeted us politely and very informative with everything and made our experience there very easy. Highly recommend this spa if your trying to get away from the hectic city life!
I had an absolutely amazing experience. Besides the fact that the spa is beautiful, the services offered and the quality of the services are superb. Will for sure be coming back.
I loved my experience. Banda treatment was great, staff is really friendly. The only thing that was an issue for me is how loud people were. I’m looking for a meditative experience. I will probably give it another chance though.
Everything was mostly great and the service was good but the wait to enter was a bit too long, we were told that we need to buy water while dining but that was quickly corrected and the menu was limited. Lastly the jets in one of the pools were out of order but these things happen.
World Spa is an amazing experience! I also love the warm Decor Aesthetics. I’m so pleased that it’s local. I highly recommend!
This place is amazing the service the food and the ambience made it a day to remember. Although everything was amazing Khristina from the restaurant was beyond amazing and attentive to my needs. U guys are lucky to have her!
I loved this place a lot! It offers lots of things to do, comfortable and inviting space, relaxing atmosphere… I forgot I was in Brooklyn! It had a feeling of a secluded, upscale oasis. I definitely will be back.
I went there with my friend,I loved it I love the show...I love the place.... everything is very clean and so much fun ...stuff is very helpful, speciay I want to say thank u to Leonid...he explained everything and showed us everything very professional and nice person
I'll definitely go back and bring my friends and family, hopefully Leonid not gonna be fully booked : )

Overall very nice experience. The interior design is gorgeous. Food is nice as well and the stuff is very friendly. Two hiccups: 1) no Russian banya at all. All the rooms just don’t have the temperature to actually be hot enough for the authentic experience. 2) doors should be self closing in saunas. Most people don’t bother to close the door after them and whatever is left of the temperature goes away with the guests.
Great place! A little expensive but top quality. The only thing I can complain about is that the steam rooms are weak. Saunas are very strong though.
I had such a good time visit to WORLD SPA and enjoy service there.
Venik treatment was amazing. Hopefully, I visited all saunas and bathhouse, because the choice is large.
Revised: after reaching out on Instagram, Melissa from marketing responded almost instantly and was extremely helpful in assisting me with a refund. It’s much appreciated!!
I have been trying to cancel a reservation for almost a week after reading the less than favorable reviews. Each time I call the listed phone number, it says that all customer service agents are busy and I am directed to leave a voice message. I am yet to hear back and have also attempted emailing and even messaging on Instagram. VERY disappointed in the customer service and starting to feel like a major scam...
I came here on Monday morning I paid for general admission online so check in was smooth the location is very clean and staffed well pool was also clean with two life guards I didnt order any food but I had a strawberry lemonade that was good I would go back again
Great spa with lots of rooms to try. It was a bit busy in the afternoon during the winter holidays, so I’d recommend going during off peak times.
Magnificent is the only word I can think of to describe the facility. I’ve been there a few times and will be coming back.
I took my sister here for her birthday and we both can’t stop talking about the venik platza treatment! Made this a five-star spa day! The guys who did the treatment were so nice and guided us from the hot steam room to the cold plunge and the shower afterwards. We both felt well taken care of.
I loved my overall experience. All the staff were amazing from beginning to end. Loved ❤️ The Venik & Body Treatment. My Margarita was also👌🏾. …
I only had a 50 minute massage but Crystal worked wonders on the knots in my back I’ve had for years. I highly recommend her and world spa.
Loved it! Great facilities! I do wish they enforced the no cell phone a bit more but other than that great bathing experience!
This place is amazing
When you walk in to get registered the staff are all welcoming
The place is clean the ambiance is breathtaking
The drinks are in point
We experienced all of the sauna rooms
Had CBD oil infused massages and body scrubs which actually amazing
VENIK PLATZA RITUAL was amazing OMG
I could go on and on
A real staycation if you ask me
My friend and I came in at 2:30pm and stayed till closing
I recommend anyone to get ready to spend a whole day of relaxation
I will definitely be back
The most beautiful spa that I’ve ever seen. Very elegant and expensive renovation. Service was good too. Highly recommended for everyone
It was excellent. Just make sure you are there early, because after 1 pm gets crazy full and basically the whole point of relaxation gets defeated.
Amazing experience. Best Spa in Brooklyn NY💞💞💞 …
Enjoyed the Spa! Thank you.
Happy we have it in Brooklyn Will come back soon. Some small improvements maybe needed. Will post after my next visit.
We had an amazing time at world spa. Thank you Michelle for your professionalism. I will definitely come back soon!
The place is beautiful, but not cheap. On the weekends you pay for 4hrs and you have to pay extra if you overstay. Since there are no clocks anywhere, it's hard to keep track of time. So, that was both annoying and stressful.
Best spa I’ve been to yet. You could spend a full 8 hours there easily experiencing each room.
It's a beautiful place, magnificent design, service is still very slow at the front desk, but once you are inside the service people are amazing, the reason I give it 3 stars is, for the slow, unpleasant service at the front desk
they ask you to order on line, but you still need to wait a long time at the front desk, after entering I realized that I had my cash on me, going out to leave it in my car was a whole big deal.
I absolutely loved this spa! Clean, organized, beautiful architecture, Food was delicious. Staff very friendly. I have no complaints.
Very clean and very empty because it was the first week. Best part is that you can order food and hold on to your table the whole time - sauna, eat, sauna, drink tea, rinse, repeat
Sauna and facility itself is great but food wasn’t at all and we were charged an extra fee and no one could justify why we were charged this fee it was an ok experience
Excellent facility, gorgeous saunas and pools, and the Russian leaf experience was fun to say the least. I’ll definitely be back!
I thought this spa was incredible with amazing facilities. From the second I entered the building I was blown away by the ambience and the fantastic fragrance throughout this wonderful establishment.
Very beautiful spa I’ve been to many never seen anything like this before , it’s not like your typical Russian spa but they definitely have some hot sauna rooms , I had a great foot massage 10/10 recommend.
The reason I didn’t give the 5 star is because of the checking in process that took a while and the lady who was checking me in had a nasty attitude but overall great place.
Absolutely amazing! My daughters treated me for the holidays to the Himilayin Salt Stone Massage and it was just unbelievable. Can’t remember the last time I felt that relaxed! Run don’t walk!!!!
Not bad, but not great.
Good:
- Beautiful interior aesthetic
- Feels fancy
Bad:
- No hot jacuzzi (jacuzzi was cold)
- Steam rooms had foul odors coming from them
Best cleanest sauna in NYC, I’ve tried them all. But book 2 weeks ahead of time
Loved everything but I wish they would have made it more clear about what time you would have to leave after your 2hr grace period . I felt like I was over charged when checking out.
This place is outstanding in every aspect! Amazing state of the art facilities, super clean, super modern and above all outstanding staff!!!!!! Cant wait to go back this place will definetly become a regular for me!!!
Amazing! You can sample different saunas from around the world in one visit. Nice decor.
Very clean, and modern spa. A bit on the pricey end. Check in is very long, even if you buy a ticket online it’s the same wait line.
Mermaid Spa congratulates World Spa with the opening of unique Spa facility.
World Spa is the great asset to Brooklyn community.
We wish your business all the best.
Administration.
Eva at front desk and Jhon lifeguard were very nice. But I will agree with other reviewers that this place is much smaller than I expected and majority of the space is used as restaurant. I ll give it another try.
Great experience and very beautiful place, but 4 hours limit won’t let you relax completely. Didn’t had a chance to go to the main restaurant, but food that they served is very good, but portions are very small.
My experience with World Spa was impeccable. Service was excellent. Staff very attentive and detail-oriented. Will definitely come back again very soon!
The most beautiful and authentic spa. Just as stated in the name this spa touches on all of the spa culture around the world. Between the saunas, hydrotherapy and culinary experiences I am truly grateful to have experienced such amazing creative hospitality in NYC!
Beautiful spa but it lacks privacy. They allow customers to walk around filming the different rooms including the customers without their consent which is extremely uncomfortable!!!
Most amazing and feature rich spa I have ever seen. Not cheap. But you get what you pay for!
I was there in the spa on Sunday.
It’s a beautiful place and very good service.
Only 1 thing is not so good
The water in the jacuzzi and pool isn’t hot
Many people ask about it.
Very nice
Take private sessions with veniki
Amazing. It's best to go early in the morning ❤️
I enjoy myself last time I came here really nice place and clean as well staff was friendly ❤️ They just need more food options on the menu 😩 I had the mashed potatoes and chicken breast it wasn’t what I expected chicken wasn’t tasty 😐! Also the price too high for a small portion of food ! …
Exquisitely designed and impeccably serviced, World Spa more than lives up to its billing as the best bathhouse in NYC. We will most definitely be back!
We had an amazing time. Place is gorgeous and clean! Staff is friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10 recommend
The place is very good but the food is overpriced and not the best. Food came out about an hour late and was not very well seasoned and temperature was cold. The spa itself was worth the price but stray away from the food.
Definitely worth going there. An amazing variety in spas. Food is excellent and comes out quickly. Location in incredibly convenient, when using public transport.
Great facility. I was over World in many Sps. And I have great experience . I hope it’s will be the best Spa in Brooklyn .
Usually don’t leave reviews but I had to for this place, World Spa is by far the best spa experience I ever had and I have been to a lot of different spas all over the world. This place stands out on all levels from service to food to experience I give World Spa a big thumbs up… this is my go to spa from now on!!!!!
Please improve steam rooms. They are not hot enough. Stuff is saying that it’s within a range but there is barely steam in both of your steam rooms. I’ve been there twice and twice it’s the same issue and all the people complaining. Please improve!!
They have multiple steam/sauna rooms and a pool. You can also book appointments for massages
Amazing place, really convenient to get to and the saunas are just perfect! Thank you for building such a great spa locally in Brooklyn!
Enjoyed my stay , nice atmosphere, very clean, great staff and great food. All the best of luck! Brooklyn is lucky to have this gem.
Many thanks to Vlad (event coordinator)! He was very helpful in setting up an amazing evening for my girlfriends and I. Truly enjoyed this experience
Nice facilities. The steam rooms do not get as hot as traditional hammams. The food was decent but my waitress was not attentive.
Not open yet but very soon that facility will stunt the world.
New York never saw such advance and modern spa with six pool's, seven treatment rooms, restaurant with staye of the art equipment and famous cook, valet parking young and experienced stuff and management who can make your dreams come true.
This place was relaxing, from the saunas, hot pool, food was everything not to mention professional staff and cleanliness.
Service was superb, decent pool areas and big variety of sauna experiences within a compact area
This place is fantastic, so many amenities and beautifully designed rooms to choose from. I've already been back twice.
Got a couples massage which hit all the right spots for my BabyGirl and I. Then after we had a complimentary 50 mins to explore the “World” and it was amazing 💆🏾♂️💆🏻♀️ 🧖🏻♀️🧖🏾 …
Absolutely loved this spa. The staff especially Nora and Krishtina were the best. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend!!
Best spa and banya in Brooklyn
If your big fan I recommend you should do 3 months
Worth every dime plus you get free parking and access for special facility.
Come here often with my wife. Always a great time! World spa has really redefined the spa experience.
Enormous, well-staffed, and clean spa with delicious food. Highly recommend their caviar dip.
Awesome experience, wonderful way to spend a day, we got vip pass to be here all day and not rush, got massage, venue and scrub procedures, food, all excellence
I went to World Spa, and I just feel HEALED. For months after, I told everyone how awesome it is there. I loved it !
Very clean, neat and organized! Definitely a must see! Food was great and staff was very polite and helpful!
Amazing beautiful spa! Very clean, wonderful service. Would definitely go back.
Truly a special place! The quality of service and attention to detail is remarkable. Couldn’t recommend this more and cannot wait to go back!!
I had an amazing afternoon here , Vlad made my afternoon even more special by taking care of my birthday cake wishes . Can’t wait to come back soon
All staff members are genuinely caring and attentive to all guest needs. Everything is sanitary and cleaned. A must go visit!
Loved it!! Great relaxing atmosphere, many great choices. Good for couples and alone time.
The place is great. Improvement is needed in the restaurant department. Aside from this everything else is beautiful and relaxing.
