This is my favorite go-to place for a full-body massage. I feel rejuvenated after an hour of full body massage. The staff is so kind and accommodating and the space is so relaxing. Every masseur that I got was skilled and knew how much pressure to apply. Highly recommend it if you need a great massage experience!

I came today for a deep tissue massage and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very professional and the masseuse was easy to talk to and work with. He also paid attention to area that I requested, and made sure to work those areas. I recommend the $49 body massage + the CBD oil add on. I will definitely come again:)

I come here regularly, and I always request a female masseuse because I am female and more comfortable with that. All of the masseuses I've had have been kind and very skilled. It's not a very fancy place, but it's so effective that I refuse to go anywhere else. The prices are also very reasonable.

I have been coming here regularly now ever since I had some pain in my neck one day and decided to try it. Usually do a full body massage. And I have had great experience with it I usually ask for the same person since I started and it’s amazing. I also have tried their hour long foot massage and they are amazing to. The pressure is strong and I feel so much better. They hit pressure point on your feet which feel a bit hard at first but after the massage feels amazing. Definitely recommend. I also suggest calling to reserve a time slot because the place does get a bit busy.

The price is great, no doubt about that! We paid $28 each for a 30 minute foot massage. The location is clean and the staff at the front desk was very friendly, they very quickly accommodated us even though we were walk-ins. Unfortunately, it wasn't very relaxing once we were in the massage area. The washer and dryer are in this area, so there were a lot of staff members in and out. They were chatting, being noisy (opening and closing the washer, dropping things, just a lot of noise as if customers weren't 6 feet away). As for the foot massage, the pressure was great! I just wish the masseuse used more technique. I've had many, many foot massages before and typically there is a bit of a routine and balance, the same flow is worked on each foot. That certainly was not the case here, and I left feeling a little unbalanced, if that makes sense.

5/5 massage 3.5/5 environment I LOVED my massage, Amy did an amazing job and the price was great! 60 minutes body work, foot and scalp massage including the use of hot stones for $50! The room I was in was closest to the staircase and none of the rooms had walls to the ceiling so you can hear the front desk, people taking the stairs and people in the room next to yours. Because of the noise, it wasn't as relaxing as I wished it could be. But the massage was amazing, it's still worth it!

I went to Renew Day Spa with my husband yesterday afternoon and it was average. We got an aromatherapy and hot stone massage. The atmosphere started off relaxing, but then the music shut off and I heard people talking. My masseuse was also talking a bit to the other one in the room. They shouldn’t be talking at all. As far as aromatherapy, it was non existent. I’m used to lavender, citrus or peppermint scents filling the air. It was none of that. I didn’t smell a thing. The the massage was average. All my knots were out, but there were times where there was too much pressure. I wasn’t relaxed because I didn’t feel they knew what they were doing. I don’t know or couldn’t tell if they were trained. The language barrier didn’t allow me to understand what my masseuse was saying. Lastly I provided a tip to both masseuse’s . The lady who did my massage seemed angry, as if the tip wasn’t enough. I don’t know if I’ll be back.

Overall experience is good, me and my friend both got the 60 min body work + 15 foot rub. It was very relaxing, the staff was very friendly and professional. Took one star off because my masseuse didn’t not provided a full 75 mins service, she came in late started at 4:05 and ended early at 5:10. (kinda rushing at the end) I expected better service based on other reviews :/ Besides that, after the session, she directly walked into another room and started serving another customer while my friend’s masseuse walked her out to the front counter… So I guess it depends the masseuse you pick.

Didn't feel they were trained properly. I have had massage therapy and relaxing massages for over 10 years now due to injuries and probably the worst one ever. It was an air massage and I was on my stomach for almost the duration of the whole massage and the only thing he did after I turned over was an uncomfortable head massage. The hot rocks are nice. I had to tell him several times to back up on the pressure and he was hitting my ribs on my back. It's okay when you got pressure on muscles but not bone. No quads, hips, or feet were touched. Just rub some oil on arms and touch hands for maybe 30 seconds a piece. Legs were hardly touched upon as well. It was mostly the back neck and legs. It was cheap, I'll give it that. My husband had one as well and he said it was disappointing but his was better than mine.

I have been here a few times and enjoyed a body massage with Winnie. All the staff were nice and the place is clean. I took one star off because I didn’t like the fact that the masseuse mentioned two times during the massage about my body part. That made me feel uncomfortable as we are all not perfect. The foot massage was also just ok. The same technique over and over again. I will still go back and try other masseuse though. Hoping for a better experience.

Overall I enjoyed the massage. I went here with my wife and a friend who was in the city from out of town. We each did the 1 hr 45foot/15shoulderback option, which was priced at $45. So our total was $135. We tipped $25 at the end, which is 18.5%. The reason for the three stars is the awkwardness that ensued after leaving this tip. The staff asked several times if the tip was for one of us or all us. Each time we said for all of us and this repeated several times. I’m not sure if they think that the tip was too low but we left there feeling like we were accused of being cheap. But in my opinion, if an 18.5% tip is looked at in shock, then maybe the place needs to think about raising prices. Don’t charge a low amount and expect people to tip 50%. And don’t make customers feel embarrassed about leaving a normal % as a tip. I wouldn’t return based on this even though, as I said, the massage aspect was fine and the staff was nice otherwise.

Been coming here since 2011. My favorite massage in Chinatown. The only real negative can be other customers. There are partitions to separate each space but you can clearly hear other people. Regardless the staff is friendly and the massages are almost always amazing, leaving you relaxed.

i’m irritated i even have to write this review but i have been going to renew day spa for back massages regularly the past few months and have brought multiple friends here. my family is in town and they couldn’t squeeze us in for full body massages and they suggested we do a 30 min foot massage and 30 min chair massage with male masseuses and it was so bad that everyone in my family woke up in pain the next day and honestly my back hurt worse which has never happened to me before i’m so disappointed. absolutely do not get a chair massage idk why they even offer them to be honest. that being said the females masseuses are amazing but what’s the point if you are going to offer services that will injure your customers

The facility is very clean, everyone wears face masks, and they temperature check prior to going into a room. The price is so affordable for 60 mins and I am always leaving very relaxed. Sooo good !! The day spa that my family went to for decades closed bc of Covid, and I was heart broken since I thought nothing would compare. Well it turns out that there was something better - renew day spa!! This place is amazing, i muscles like steel wire that was taken OUT with the CBD oil and the amazing work of the staff. Went here for the first time for the foot reflexology. Booking was super easy and a very quick phone call. The massage itself was also great! They started out with a quick foot soak, then massaged the calves and started on the feet. Nothing was ever too painful. The massage ended with hot stones on the feet and calves. Super affordable, $35/hour! They also accept card, but there is a small charge for using card (about +$3 to our total of $70.)

Its always quiet and peaceful, no one speaks louds,they're all extremely polite and the massages are heavenly!!!! I always get the full body 1hr massage, every one wears a mask and towel is used to cover you at all times. Sanitizers everywhere!!! Place is impeccable 👌. Make this you're weekly treat, you won't regret it🥰🥰

I came in today for the very first time. I must say this is the best massage I’ve ever experienced. The appointment was easy to make by phone. My therapist has VERY strong hands and it was actually painful at times but it’s what I needed. My back and shoulders were so tense from heavy working and stress. It’s a no frill place, but the massage itself was just superb and the price was fair. My only concern is that I tipped my therapist very well, because he did such a great job, but I didn’t get a chance to hand it to him. It went to the front desk attendant. I hope that he got his tip in its entirety and hope that he understood what a great job he did.

Don’t be fooled by the obscure entrance! This place is a Chinatown hidden gem. Unfortunately I didn’t make a reservation so they could only squeeze me in for 30 minutes. It was honestly one of the best massages I’ve had: hot stones, fresh hot towels, and a relaxing lotion were all used. You also can’t beat the price: $26 for 30 minutes.

I booked a couple’s hot stone massage for the weekend and it’s worth every single penny!! My masseur Niko did a very great job in releasing the tension around my neck and lower back area, it’s so relaxing after a long week of work. Though one little thing is there are moments where I heard the other workers talking outside my room and I wished they would be mindful of their voice cause that was a little distracting, I’d understand though since the layout of the space is quite small and everyone is working in the same space. but! otherwise its an amazing experience and would highly recommend my friends to stop by for a massage! Edit: Jenny is also great as well, she can massage in a range of strengths so if you want her to go hard on the massage she can definitely do it if you had a bad day at work 😂

It’s clean, the masseuse was very nice. I wished they would speak a little English, almost every time I’ve been here or any of their other location, I leave with more pain. For example, I said “ouch”, and they respond “thank you” or I said right there, again I get “thank you”.

This place is amazing and both my husband and I have had amazing massages from here for years- it's very quiet (other than the timer going off, but hey, it's a no-frills spot!), they play soft, soothing music during the massage, and the masseuse does a number of different things - dry massage, massage with oil/lotion, and even incorporates hot stone massage techniques! It felt like we were robbing them given how little they were charging us (Used to be $36 for a 60-minute massage and not up to $45 if paying cash)

This is 100% the best place to get a great massage for an affordable price in NYC! The pressure they use is not for the faint of heart but its EXACTLY what my body needed. Too often I get a massage as high-end “boutique” massage parlors thats more “mainstream” than this one and they more or less squeeze my arms and call it a day. The hot stone and warm towel towards the end of the massage is cherry on top. I always leave here satisfied no matter what massage tech i have. Highly highly recommend!

He was friendly and did ok job; Third time Masseur was unhappy, tried to explain to him, he said he doesn’t understand. I had pain for two more days after the massage. They are not well trained. You know when it just meets your expectation (nothing to exceed expectation), it’s one of those places. The front desk was courteous and flexible. It was definitely painful at some points and you need to guide the masseuse on how much pressure to apply (the language barrier made it challenging as she was doing her best to check in if I was ok and had trouble understanding when I say “less pressure/no more” lol). I had pain in my shoulders and low back hours later after the massage so I can’t tell if that’s normal. I don’t think this would be my go to place for a massage next time I’m In Chinatown. The value is great though (45$ for 1 hour full body and I left a 5 hr tip). You save $ by paying in cash and not paying taxes on the massage thru CC (4-5$ that could go towards tipping the workers instead).

Game changer massage place. I was only in the city for four days, but made it here two times for deep tissue massages with hot stones. I have a lot of upper back and neck stiffness as a dentist, and the masseuse intensely worked those areas with a dead set persistence. I'd give it a 6/10. I got 90mins massage, after 30 mins is when the actual massage began after the warm up. Full body missed feet and anterior side. Neck and feet need more time. The communication gap makes it very hard to communicate. I'll give another chance maybe and update review. Also one of the lil bumps on my face got popped. Hot towel is standard at other places but was missing here. Makes a pretty significant difference on cleaning and the whole experience. I felt like they were a little complacent because of their reviews and ratings. Some policies by the manager a little annoying like not being able to use extra time on same day for waiting even of staff is available. Update 7/24/21. Second time experience was much better. Demi hit the spot. They also raised their prices. Its $48/hr now. Would be great if the front desk can be more friendly and engage with their customers instead of just being on their phones. Would also help if there was some glute work and more. Neck time.

The staff is always very polite, and it's great if you really just want the massage without the extra frills. Just went here with my daughter, and we had a great experience. The staff and the services were great. We had the 1 hour reflexology and 30/30 back/foot rub, and both were well worth the $25 - $36 we paid for the hour. The folks here are just so nice! The space is very relaxing as well, and convenient. It's a popular spot - we had to make an appointment an hour out which was fine with us since the place is right around the corner from our apartment. I would suggest calling to see if you can walk in or if you need to make an appointment before coming.

Very clean, quiet and friendly reception. We were asked our preference on masseuse and taken to another floor for a "couples massage." Low music and dimly lit room followed by an hour massage?!?! Please do not judge me for having gone here. This is not sleazy place as many other place may be. My friend recommended this place because of the quality work and fair price they charge, She told me she goes here often and also has a buy 10 get 1 free card with them. And she also told me they speak and understand English. The full body massage is under $30 and the place is clean. I had the option of a guy or woman attendant. I naturally opted for woman. The massage is not naked. You leave your undies on. Towards the end of the massage the lady used hot stones all over my back. It definitely melted the knots away. I didn't really like the face massage. I will tell them to focus on the scalp and not to touch my face next time. So, again its a quality legit massage and its great.

Best Best Best Massages I've ever gotten! I would highly recommend 1). Setting up an appointment so you don't have to wait and you can reserve the masseuse you want. 2). Do the 90 minute body massage (so they can be more thorough with each part)! 3). Also I personally prefer to have a female masseuse. (Up to you though). I've found them to give just the right pressure and if not you can tell them and they'll accommodate you. I work in Boston but my home is Brooklyn so every time I'm back I make sure I do a 90 minute session. I would recommend working with either Coco or Merry. The other female masseuses were good too but I never got their name. This place also has a rewards card so you can get a free massage if you're a regular! You guys have saved my super tight back so many times 👌🏼😍.

All those reviews about noise, I won't ever believe because this place was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. We got lucky to get a couple's room, which is good cause my sister and I don't like to get separated. It's like the guy who was working in me could tell who he was working with right away. I'm an athlete and with softball I use my shoulders and hips alot. And boy did he know that, I could feel every single knot worked out and he applied the right amount of pressure everywhere. My sister says the man that worked on her did a wonderful job on her shoulders. I will definitely be coming back and bringing my mother's husband who plays baseball. My boyfriend and I went there last week for reflexology and he got a full body massage as well. Everyone was very polite, place was clean and relaxing. I had Tom for my foot rub, he was very friendly and made sure to adjust pressure in the more painful areas. I do wish their comfort and proper body movement stability was taken into consideration. Having gone to massage school myself, I can tell they weren't taught proper body mechanics on how to use their body weight for pressure, or how to align their thumbs and hands so they don't wear out. Especially when doing this so often, it's adds up. Perhaps a comfy mat on the floor so they can kneel while sitting on the little bench with the cushion, this would greatly help out their backs but also allow them to offer pressure using their body weight rather than blowing out their thumbs. I hope Leo Li reads this. Comfortable masseuse makes comfortable clients :) will definitely be back! Thank you for this awesome spot!

I've lived in NYC for nearly 10 years, and I've walked past massage places like this a million times without a second thought. Last night though, my feet were really aching and I had some time to kill with my gf so for $25 why the heck not? I'm a very experienced massage... receiver? So, I know when the person performing knows what they're doing. There wasn't much technique on the neck and shoulder portion--lots of force and sometimes questionable placement (elbow directly on the spinal column is a big no-no). But, my god, I've never had someone spend 45 minutes on my feet alone. I even thought that it might be a bit much/would get boring but I was very wrong. It occurred to me that as a New Yorker I put a LOT of stress on my feet everyday, all day and I never take care of them. I just plain didn't know how good they can feel during after a session like this. I highly recommend coming here for that!

Been to three different foot massage places in Chinatown this one is by far the best one and offered the most reasonable price. I've never had a foot massage so thorough! It was kinda painful at some point during the foot massage but i felt great and relaxed afterward with no residual tenderness. The $25 an hr price also included a 15 mins back & neck massage. My massage therapist Tom did a really good job. I will definitely go back again on a regular basis.

This is one of those tucked away gems of a NYC establishment. Direct, efficient, clean, and friendly, with an unbeatable price point for all of their services. I’m a video editor and sitting at my desk all day has become painful, despite a daily yoga and fitness practice. A friend suggested a body works session and it was everything I needed...and only $39! Massage was good, but the noise from other people was frustrating. People are walking in the hallways and the room walls do not go all the way to the ceiling. There was also confusion from my wife’s therapist on whether we had 60 or 90 minutes massages. My wife’s therapist also massaged her with a towel on top of her skin for almost 30 minutes. There’s also lots of two-way radio chatter in Chinese going on in the hallways which we could hear throughout the massage. I had Daisy who was great at deep tissue massage

I have my regular go-to place for full-body massages on the UWS, but I stumbled across an online description of Renew's reflexology foot massage. I texted a friend & we decided to give it a try instead of going for drinks. Best happy hour in a long time =) It was so relaxing and stress-relieving. And at $28/hour, I am seriously thinking about doing this a few times a month. The space is no frills (I don't need fancy--I just need results), and it was PACKED full of people when I was leaving (9pm), but they gave me exactly what I wanted. I definitely recommend this place.

I was initially skeptical because the place didn't seem fancy, but boy was I wrong! My best massage experience ever! No exaggeration! Small but clean place with courteous, efficient staff. The body massage here goes on for an hour and focuses mainly on your back. It starts with a dry back massage, then with oil, then hot stones, acupressure, neck and head massage. Impressive thing about it was how dedicated the masseuse was for the whole 1 hour 15 mins. Only downer was that they don't focus much on your feet, but then they have a separate feet massage for $22. A check-in on yelp gives an extra 15 mins. If you plan on going there often, ask for a stamp card that gets you a free visit after 10. Don't expect much from the ambiance or decor. Just go there for a great massage!

Super friendly staff. A coworker told me about this place and suggested I see Kevin. I booked an Appt for both my friend and myself. We each got a one hour with Kevin (which was amazing) and one hour foot massages. The facility was clean and therapist were professional, and highly skilled. It’s been hours later and I’m still on cloud nine. They take walk-in’s but i would suggest calling ahead to book an appointment. Cash is king but they do accept Visa and or Master Card ONLY. Tipping may be done on your card also.
