I had a great experience here, and I’ll definitely be back! They have a hot tub with a cold shower next to it, a sauna with cool water to dump on yourself when you get too hot, and a eucalyptus steam room. They have showers with soap dispensers as well. The days/times are divided by male and female (I went Oct 2022). Massages are available as well as a salt scrub. I got a 15 min scrub by Charlotte, and it was incredible. I hadn’t felt that relaxed and pain-free in a long time.

I Came here on a Saturday for the first time. It was a great experience! My massage was good and the staff were friendly. I like the fact that you pay after your soak so you can just show up and relax immediately. I visited Havana Sauna Sunday and I didn’t like it nearly as much. I can’t wait to return for a scrub and some interaction. Cheers.

Lovely old school European Bathhouse in the heart of Denver, made me feel like I was back in Finland where I had a similar experience with the bathhouses there. Staff are friendly and helpful to old and newcomers alike to help them with the bathhouse experience. LGBTQ friendly as well. Will definitely be coming back over the winter months to warm up and relax from the cold winters we have here in Denver.

Some facilities a little outdated, but I personally found the whole place and experience quite charming. Regardles, everything is was working perfectly and sanitized which is what i cared most about. All staff was lovely and welcoming. I just wish for more than 2 ladies days a week lol. Overall if you're in need of some decompression or a good soak I'd highly recommend it!

Keep in mind this place is a completely “old world” style of boathouse experience. It’s very dated but does the trick and I think that’s part of the charm. If you’ve never been to a Russian or Turkish bath you might be a little taken back your first time. I definitely recommend the scrub.

Loved this place when I went, really helped open my sinuses. Felt super relaxed afterwards. However, it’s pretty inconvenient and disappointing that women days are only Monday and Thursday. Please bring back a women’s day on the weekend!

I think the steam bars in and of themselves are great! I love that there’s a place where people can come to soak and steam publicly. My review is actually about my massage therapist, Cynthia, who honestly I did not enjoy my massage with. She actually tossed (threw) my arm under the sheet! I think the baths themselves are great! But just be really clear about what you want for your massage so you got a massage therapist who works for you.

OK I've been here a few times and have loved it. The dry steam room is perfectly hot. Gets me sweating and tomato red. It's very spacious and the cold water taps in that room are genius and put to good use. Love stretching out fully and laying down. The steam room can be full sometimes, so on rare occasions you may need to wait your turn. It's a really great steam room, Again great heat. I like the Eucalyptus spray in there too. It's good for when some of us musky men are in there haha. Hot tub is good, don't really go for it honestly. I'd say it's relaxing. The jets are good for tissue relaxation. The showers have soap dispensaries which I also really like. Oh! Also friendly front staff. M you are always so nice!

This is a place to come and relax, sure it's a bit dated but it is quite clean. It is a nude bath and depending on your level of comfort, it eventually becomes normal. The staff is very friendly and will explain how things work if it's your first time. The massage from Sergio was amazing and I felt so relaxed afterwards that after I left and came back to my hotel room, I slept like a baby. When I make it back to Denver, hopefully soon, I'll be dropping in for some relaxation.

I was visiting first time this place, and I do recommending to anyone to go there and enjoy every minute of your well deserved relaxation. I paid $20, and it is great price, trust me on that one, I used to visit saunas and steam room in all 49 states except Hawaii. Lake Steam Baths earned my 5 star, the staff are welcoming and helpful at every corner for you. This facility is simple and give you time and experience to enjoy moment of steam and heat. If you want massage you can order it for extra fee. They do provide clean blanket and small towel to seat on it, lockers and key, also they serve food and drinks at small cafe. I brought my own towel and flip flops only, I usually do this. And pay attention for gender days, there is Male and Female days and time, so Google it or call them before you come. Parking available free of charge, for cars. I parked my truck at street, if you drive semi truck, you can park BOBTAIL ONLY at local street, so no trailer parking for sure. Streets around small, or go to local Walmart and talk to manager for dropping trailer or use truck stop and UBER. So this place provide me with great service, and I will come back again. Enjoy.

This is a pretty barebones operation. Everything (seems to be) is original to when it opened. Don't expect to go with a friend and chat anywhere outside of the locker room. You will be shushed. Overall, even for the age, it is quite clean and comfortable. It is not co-ed so make sure you are going during the appropriate hours. It's pretty small. There is a single hot tub, a handful of showers, one cold shock shower, one hot and dry steam room. Parking is around back. Get there early. Sweat, relax, enjoy!

A classic old bath house. During Covid you can rent it for a private party of six. We had a great experience with our college aged kids and their significant others. Sauna was nice and hot, steam room had sinus clearing eucalyptus smell and the hot pool was the perfect temp. In the ninety minutes we circulated through the three areas and cold showers a few times.. It was a wonderful, relaxing way to spend time on a snowy spring day. Our kids were sort of hesitant by old appearance from the outside but the place is clean and the staff was pleasant. Everyone thanked mom for experience afterward.

Overpriced for what it is. The place could have a lot more people if they put serious money into TLC and get staff for a sauna ceremony. On the plus side: The staff is super friendly and I can recommend the massages.

I really enjoyed the massage I received. It would be wonderful if they had more than one hot tub. The place is clean and the staff is nice, but it could use some love in the way of upgrades. It's very outdated with old carpet, furniture, cracked tiles, etc. It still has a lot of charm for being outdated.

Awesome! I have been coming here for well over a decade. I have always had a great experience. The massage therapists are very good. It is a very laid back no frills atmosphere. Don't be put off by the nudity, you will get over it within minutes of walking into the hot eucalyptus steam room, or the very hot, hot tub. You can get a scrub, steam, soak, sauna and get an amazing massage for the same price as just a massage elsewhere.

This is a great place. It's not fancy--it's basic. It has a great ,clean steam room, a HUGE sauna with access to buckets of water as you can use. This is not a bubble gum bathhouse--it's a place where you can reap the beneifts of heat, steam, dry heat, whirpools, relax and unplug for a few hours. The services are some of the best I've ever had. HIGHLY recommend Brian.

In particular I would like to say that the massage therapy from Julian is extremely HELPFUL!!! He really takes the time to understand and adapt to your body's needs. Every time I have left His massage I have felt so much better. As someone who deals with regular pain from spine injuries and hip injuries, I was so impressed with how Julian has been able to help my body to release these areas and provided more overall comfort and less pain. He also gave me some great stretches to do to continue helping my spine and hips. Could not be happier!!!!

Excellent. Very classic vibes, don’t go in expecting a brand new spa. But in its own way, it’s very Denver, and extremely laid back. Reasonable pricing for spa services, and a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Be prepared to stay longer than you anticipated. Great work!

Well, unique indeed. Old place but kept clean. You're given a small towel & some sort of blanket. I think this is an ideal place for regulars after work. I'm visiting & glad I didn't go too far out of my way to come. Friendly staff, but I paid cash and was shorted $10 in change.

Low key spa with great prices and a comfortable "homey" feel. We were visiting from out of town and needed a little relaxation after a rough conference. We spent several hours trying all their services and left in a much better mood with softer skin and relaxed muscles. The only problem was for new person who has never experienced this kind of spa before, our tour didn't really explain the "how tos" of it all. We ended up having to ask other patrons who were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful experience here. This was my first time coming to a steam bath, first time getting naked infront of strangers, first time getting a professional massage, and I'll happily become a repeat offender. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable (which says a lot as I was naked and VERY self conscious). The establishment was clean, the massuse was AMAZING!! She rubbed muscles I didn't know existed. All in all I had a wonderful experience, and look forward to coming back

One of the more heartbreaking restrictions during the last year for me was not being able to hit Lake Steam once a month, but you can still go for some of the best (and most affordable) massages in town. Can't wait to get back to the steam and sauna rooms when we can! A denver landmark

So many wonderful things to say about this place I'm not sure where to start! Staff is amazing, food is delicious, over all experience is wonderful! This isn't a high end spa, but it's a great place to go to relax and be good to yourself without breaking the bank. Ladies that go here are very welcoming and down to earth and the staff treats you like family. So glad I discovered this little gem!

My original plan for today was to get my nails done at a local nail salon, but when I got there, I found that it was under renovation so I decided to find something else to do to relax me. I ran across this place online and it was close to where I live so I decided to check it out. The reviews all said it was an amazing place to go, and before I knew it, I was on the way there. The first thing I noticed when I got there was the smell, my least favorite part. It was a little off-putting, but soon I barely noticed. I told them that it was my first time there and I got the official tour. Of course I opted for the massage, and Pam provided me with the best massage I have ever had! She was absolutely fantastic. Next came the steam bath, sauna, and the hot tub. All of these things were incredible. The soap and salt scrub by Mercy came next, which was also amazing. By the time I left, I felt reborn (and had even made a couple of new friends). I definitely plan to return, as it was such a relaxing morning/afternoon.

Great place to relax. Steam Shower, Dry Sauna and Hot Tub. They also offer massages for $35. Body Scrubs for $12 and different foot treatments. There is hot food available although I have not tried any yet. Segregated men and women's days and every 3rd Sunday in the winter is family day.

I love this place, I went a few weeks ago. I'm going back later today 1-17-19. I highly recommend Lake Steam Baths, I really like the old school charm. I go into the hot tub about 20 minutes, then go get a massage. It's a remarkable experience here.

Worth it and the services are reasonably priced. Pleasant friendly staff. As far as a bath house in Denver available to women, this is the choice, and it ain’t bad. It ain’t JJs either but - Hey. Don’t expect posh. Bathhouses aren’t for posh. This one perhaps a little less so. That’s not to say everything isn’t kept up nicely – it is, and clean. The clientele is varied especially due to location and it’s the only bathhouse available to women - you might be standing there pleasantly talking to a naked lawyer woman or you might be sitting in the sauna and a naked longtime customer woman, who lives nearby and has obviously done some hard time, gruffishly ask/tells you to move because that’s her favorite seat. It’s interesting - and safe. Great steamroom! A super Dee-Duper hot and humongous sauna. As in Humongous!

Because I don’t identify as male I am no longer allowed to see the great reflexologist that I have been seeing throughout Covid. I love this place. No phones, no clothes, no pretensions. Hot showers, clean & clear jacuzzi with powerful jets, hot sauna room bring Epsom salts to scrub away dead skin and leave with soft smooth rejuvenated skin, wet sauna complete with eucalyptus spray. Kitchen with food, drinks (cold beer) a place to sit and chat. Schedule a massage it's well worth the price. Stay as long as you like. You'll wish you had an Uber or limo to drive you home you'll be relaxed from head to toe.

Nice old school turkish bath. Smaller than I thought it would be. Only one hot tub. 2 saunas. I liked the really hot sauna room. And you can't beat the price for the salt scrub. Skin was smooth! I would prefer a Korean spa over this, but not to try if looking for a public bath house/spa.

I have been going to Lake Steam since I was 14 years old. Its a hidden gem that anyone brave enough to get past the not-so-pretty west colfax exterior will simply love. Its not the most beautiful place in the world but its everything you need in a spa at a price that is unbelievable. Its comfy cozy and I consider myself lucky if I can make it every few weeks. The scrub and rubs are amazing and the eucalyptus sauna is something you just have to love and I have never found anything like it at any of the more expensive spas. I get to go again today, haven't been in several months and I am so excited.

Everything is great but, they need to get more clean, lockers is massy, dirty, bottom part need replace, all lockers need a fresh painting. And inside its need more disinfecting, me and my friends get infected and 2 months of treatment by doctor. The pool so hot not able to use.

Bare bones (literally and figuratively) with male and female days and inexpensive, strong massages. It's a throwback to a different era but sometimes that's what we all need.

Eucalyptus Steam-Sauna-Hot,Hot Soaking Pool-Showers-Completely Tiled "Wet" Area w/lotsa room to rest between use of all areas. Lockers-"Dry" Relaxing area-Even a Cozy Place to Eat! BEST Professional MESSAGES EVER! Best Price Anywhere! Oh! And the Fantastic Full Body Soap Scrubs! My suggestion for Best Experience... Plan Ahead for as much of a Whole Day as you can. Call to Find Out prices, Hours & Days for Women or Men, details about payment for the "Baths" as well as for "extras" such as Soap Scrub, Massage, Food. Schedule a Massage for at Least an Hour After you Arrive! So you have time to become a Clean Wet Noodle!
