You have to park around the corner from the spa. Side street parking only. The atmosphere was relaxing. Music was great! The receptionist Daniella (May have spelled it wrong) was AMAZING! Her customer service was on point. She was very friendly. Offered hot chocolate, water or tea. Thought there was an alcoholic beverage on the website, but was not offered. My massage tech Candy was great as well. Very good with her hands. Massage room was a great temperature. Music was claiming, besides random commercials. Only disappointment with my massage was she did not massage my hands and feet. When booking groups massages there was not a place that I seen everyone could all hang together. There was also not enough staffing to have my best friend and I massages at the same time. I had to wait an hour for her to get done for my turn. Make sure you bring something to do to occupy your time.

This place is straight awesome! Everyone is super friendly and inviting. The new owners are doing absolutely amazing job managing the salon and are constantly improving. Went in there yesterday for my vajacial treatment and loved it. Prices are reasonable! Will definitely be back soon for more ! Highly recommend!

I visited Chocolate Spa when they first opened maybe 12 years + ago. I had been looking for place to get a well needed overdue facial. Pre-COVID I was getting microdermabrasion with my facials, this time Bernadette suggested the dermaplaning. I loved it! I face felt so different, smooth and soft again. Seeing those immediate results was amazing. Definitely going back for a repeat!

I am in love with my new haircut and color! The entire staff was so accommodating, and they were even able to fit me in for a last minute eyebrow wax. Their esthetician was very friendly, knowledgeable, and provided a clean and relaxing environment. She took her time to ensure the end result was exactly what I wanted, and I’m very happy with how they turned out! Overall, this spa is fantastic.

I was quite skeptical of the place starting off, but ended presently surprised. Me and my best friend planned a spa day for our moms as a group of 4. We called ahead of time and had some issues scheduling. We still went hoping it would all be sorted when we got there, which is was, sort of. We ended up skipping mani/pedis for some of us, but that worked out fine. The staff was super friendly and attentive so that was nice. The rooms are quite small and a bit rundown, but still felt clean. The chocolate wrap was darn goof. All in all, it was a decent experience!

Love Love Love Mariola! My first time coming to the spa was my very first experience the young lady I had at first did not make it a pleasant experience. My very first wax took about 45 minutes. I've been coming here for nail and spa services since they opened (at least 10 years ago). Staff is always friendly. No chip manicures are consistently good. Massage is good as well. They have weekly and monthly specials. Highly recommend.

This place has always had a very cozy and inviting ambiance. It is a full service salon. I used to live close by and it was my go to place for waxing. Since I moved I’ve been going somewhere else but will be returning here going forward. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is so calming. I usually make a tea while I’m waiting for my esthetician, but they also offer chocolate wine with certain nail services. There are price incentives for booking a wax touch up/ 3 week appt. The esthetician’s give you privacy when undressing before your service - which I find professional. (The new place I went to has you undress in front of them- odd.) They also sell chocolate scented lotions-around $19. My fave was a chocolate cherry lotion, but they have not had it in stock last few times I was there. There’s also a car wash nearby, makes for a happy day. See y’all soon!

$40 for the happy pedicure which is nothing but a mask.... I was not happy or impressed. I was excited about the pedicure before I had it and I my surprise is nothing but I mask, no special massage or hot towels. A very basic pedicure for the price. Very small color selection for regular polishes and the salon layout is very small that went I back to back of the salon I bumb into another costumer due to the small space the salon looks very disorganized. On the bright side the girl in the front desk and the girl that gave my pedicure was very nice and welcoming. Good job girls!!!

The environment was very relaxing, but i wasnt happy with the outcome. Let me explain......I got a mani pedi that looked great. The front desk person was very friendly and took me as a walk-in because I didnt have an appointment. The person who did my mani- pedi was also very friendly and provided great customer service. My only complaint is that I got no chip and 3 nails chipped within a week.

This spa is the best spa south of Roosevelt Rd. The massages are great. Nail services is superb. Facials and waxing are done with nothing but the best products. The body treatments have you feeling refreshed and brand new. Laura the hairstylist does great work, I have seen color treatments turn out flawless and clients walk out with smiles. What a gem!

Had my eyebrows done recently by Agata. She is a perfectionist which is what you want when dealing with your face. She took a lot of time making sure my brows had the perfect arch and fullness for my face before she even began the microblading. At the end of the session I was afraid they were too dark and full, but once they healed they were absolutely perfect. I highly recommend her.

Awesome spa. Nail technician Connie is awesome. She did a black and purple ombre design on my nails for me and it is absolutely lovely. I will definitely be back to do a spa party. Micro blading. I've searched every site from Indiana to Illinois looking for someone whose work looks the best and that would be Agatha, she knows what she's doing! During our consultation Agatha not only told me the differences between the different methods of micro blading and the effects they produce she showed me pictures. I thought I wanted ombré eyebrows but she listened to me when I told her that I don't wear a lot of makeup daily and said that it would look like too much without all the makeup. We went for a more natural fuller look without and extra shadings and tricks and WOW My brows are Perfect! 👌🏼 She's completely attentive and knows beauty. My friends are making appointments with her now.

Last time i wrote a review for this place i gave it 5 stars. This time is a little different. When Agata (i believe thts her name) wrkd here, I loved coming here. Now, not so much. The last several times i received a deep cleanse facial they were never as good or as thorough as when Agata did them. I came here yeaterday and had a deep cleanse facial again, (75min frm start to finish by the way), and she didn't clean my pores, i felt, at all!. She picked a few clogged pores for literally 5, maybe 6 mins at the most!!! It was mostly massaging and liquids and creams on my face. Everytime I've come here in the past the deep cleanse was not relaxing. Because i was always getting my pores cleaned out, so it was a little uncomfortable (nothing unbearable), but this time was more relaxing and rubbing the face with creams rather than cleaning out my pores...which is what i bought, a deep cleanse facial for. They're suppose to be a little painful if your getting it done thoroughly. And ontop of the bad facial cleanse, she was done 15 mins early. It took less than an hour, not the 75 mins like they claim on the website. I was done at 6:50 pm..instead of the schedule 7pm. And we started at 6pm. Granted, i knew i wouldn't get a full 75 mins because i came in 5 mins late due to the parking situation in this area, but still expected to get at least an hour, since i was scheduled till 7pm. Nope. 50 mins was all i got. And only 5 were spent on actually cleaning the pores. Sorry to say, because i use to love this place, but i will not be returning anytime soon. The hospitality is still wonderful tho. Maybe the more relaxing facials are worth the hundo, i dont know...

I have heard of this place from my friends and decided to give it a try. I went there for a brazilian wax and my experience was great. The place looked really nice and cozy. The receptionist was really polite, which made me feel calmer and not as stressed. When I went to the room the esthetician was very professional and comforting. It wasn't as painful as I thought it would be and the esthetician made sure I was okay all day way through. After I was done I received a piece of paper with all instructions what not to do after the brazilian, which will be easier than just memorizing it. It was an overall great experience. I will definitely make this my regular go to place.

I got my eyebrows done with Agatha and I love them. The first microblading session she focused on thickening and evening out my eyebrows. My natural brows are noticeably uneven. I started with a lighter color because I wasnt sure I was going to like them. When I went for my touch up we made some final adjustments on the shape and this time I let Agatha pick the color. After all she is a proffessional and she has a better idea of what the color will look like healed. I really love my final brow shape and color! I also got my first brazillian wax with Tola before my microblade touch up and she did a really good job. The spa has a very comfortable and relaxing vibe. It smells like chocolate and so does the wax. I would definitely refer a friend.

Called in for a “mother daughter” package. Ended up getting the one with the massage, manicure, and pedicure. Typically with those you’re usually together and have a good time together. At this place we were split up the whole entire time. They took my mom back first then me. Separately. Our massage ladies did a nice job. Then when we went for pedicures we were on opposite sides of each other with people in between. Both of our “nail technicians” did not do a very good job. Typically with pedis and manis you get the whole thing. The whole time they half assed it. And unknowing to them I am a cosmetologist and know everything that is supposed to go on. With each of us they skipped a lot of steps. They also cut my moms toe nails crooked and my lady does not know how to put nail polish on your nails and clean them up if she misses. My toes have a lot of excess polish on them. The manis were the same. The nail ladies need to go back to school and do the whole class over again. I would recommend the massage but not the manicures or pedicures.

OK, let me start by saying that this salon has NEW OWNERSHIP as of October 2011 so any bad reviews prior to this date are no longer relevant. The reason I say this is because the new owners are FABULOUS!! I have met both of them personally as they each happened to be the estheticians to perform my brazilian waxes the two times I've been. They are both from Poland and just about as sweet and hardworking as two people can be. Owner/Esthetician #1: Bernadette. By far one of the BEST waxes I've ever had (and I have some horror stories, believe me). Seriously. It was just about as painless as a brazilian can get and the fact that it's CHOCOLATE wax, well it smells just amazing and was probably a contributing factor in the definite decrease in pain from my norm. Owner/Estheticial #2: Agatha. When I called to schedule this appt I asked for Bernadette because my experience with her was so wonderful. She wasn't working that day tho and I was in SERIOUS need of a wax so I decided to take a chance on the other girl. Once again -- no complaints. This time I had a brazilian, upper lip and chin wax. I usually get an eyebrow wax too but I'm PICKY about my brows so I'm usually hesitant about who I let touch my brows. I decided to take a chance with Agatha and oh.my.goodness. AMAZING!! They have never looked better. I have a hard time making them look totally even. I've heard brows should like like "sisters" not "twins" but with Agatha they're as close to TWINS as they could possibly get. Awesome shape. I should also add that I first discovered this salon because of a groupon for a brazilian wax which I did not actually purchase because I'm ADD and forgot. hah. I regretted it the next day however since the salon is so close to where I live (south loop) and I wanted to check it out. I called to see if they would still honor the groupon price since I found their salon thru groupon. They said YES!! Amazing customer service. Very clean environment and friendly staff. Did I mention it always smells like CHOCOLATE?! Yum. I haven't yet gone for their hair or nail services but as for the waxing....perfect 10.

I had a package with a massage, facial, and a mani pedi which of course i upgraded to the chocolate. The massage left me so relaxed and while the facial great with awesome massage it left my face glowing! For my chocolate mani pedi the products are just amazing left my hands and feet so soft and smelling like chocolate! Everybody was really nice and professional definitely recommend this place to everybody!

During my trip to Chicago I visited my best friend who recommended to me Chocolate for your body where is also hair cut service for men . I was introduce to hair-dresser named - Laura -she did wonderful and amazing job .On the beginning I was so nervous because I was little crazy about my hair but Spa offered complimentary free glass of wine (red or white) which make me total relax . I was so sad I live in Toronto and I cant come here very often .Special thanks for Laura and all staff of Chocolate for your body . I am pretty sure it wasn't my last visit even I am live far away from windy city. Laura makes me looks like a human be I appreciate for all good work .

Just recently moved to Chicago and found "Chocolate for your body" while searching for a SPA. Since I didn't know anyone masseurs I took the first available date and ended up with Carla. She was amazing!!! I have problems with my spin - it's a little twisted therefore my arms fall asleep quite often. After 1h massage I felt great because she knew what to do and how to make the pain go away. Also I felt soooo relaxed afterwards. I will definitely be a regular and although I have no compare to other masseuses in "Chocolate for your body" I highly recommend Carla - you just can't go wrong with her!
