I just completed Womb Room's 6-week Childbirth Series and was so, so happy that this was the class we decided to take! There are so many options out there when it comes to childbirth education, but I'm confident that Womb Room provides a completely unique experience. The course focuses on building a community of others around you, everything you need to know about childbirth as well as encouraging birthing persons and partners to advocate for their preferences throughout the process. It was empowering to learn about all of the different options out there when it comes to the birthing process.
Kristie was our instructor and she was absolutely wonderful! She made the class time fly by and was a wealth of knowledge! I've also heard that the other instructors are great too, so you really can't go wrong with choosing to go with the Womb Room. This was one of the best decisions we made in our pregnancy/birthing experience!

I am in LOVE with this place! I signed up for the holistic package and am so pleased with my experience. My Saturday mornings are not the same unless I go to my prenatal yoga class. I feel so uplifted, empowered, supported, relieved, relaxed, and Rejuvenated when I attend this sanctuary. The Womb Room is such a beautiful place to allow women to come together and support each other in the miracle of birth. My Doula Antwanette has been a gem. I am so looking forward to having her at my birth. She has been my go to when I have been struggling or needing guidance and I’m so grateful to her and The Womb Room. Yesterday I took my childbirth class that came with the holistic package and I feel like all of my worries have been calmed. I feel empowered to have the delivery that I choose. I feel educated to make the decisions necessary for a beautiful birth. I’m obsessed with this place and want every pregnant woman to go through The Womb Room and experience all the love and support that the sanctuary of a place provides.

This place is a gem. I tried out prenatal yoga at the Womb Room in the beginning of my third trimester and quickly became a regular. Classes are perfectly paced, and it's such a calming, welcoming space. My partner and I also signed up for the single-day Holistic Childbirth Essentials class. We had considered taking a class like this online but appreciated hearing from other parents-to-be and the chance to try out "comfort measures" in-person. Kristie was knowledgeable, engaging, and made a nearly seven-hour class way less painful than it sounds.

I love all of the services that the womb room has to offer. We just finished the six week holistic childbirth class with Kristie and it was excellent. We learned so much and created a good sense of community with our classmates. It was especially important to have my partner so involved and so educated on birth. She brings in different speakers and there were some really great resources that I will be using now. I feel more empowered about my upcoming labor and delivery.

My wife and I had the privilege of taking Kristie's All Day Childbirth Essentials course and were very happy with the experience! Kristie is a very passionate and knowledgeable teacher and makes everyone feel so welcome. We learned the questions we should be asking of our provider and ways to be more prepared for labor. I feel more confident going into this process as a first time parent and support system for my wife during labor. The class is definitely worth going to a few months before the due date! Thanks for all the resources and information!

We completed the one day holistic childbirth education and a few of the adjunct classes including infant feeding and comfort measures. They have all been enjoyable and so informative. We have been given materials to look through in addition to hands on practicing of the comfort measures. Kristie is a funny and informative instructor who made us feel comfortable asking any questions and really created a great environment for learning! We feel more confident going into our own experience with the tools we learned from the Womb Room. I would highly recommend to any one!

We purchased the Complete Eduction package and Unlimited yoga to prepare for our sons arrival. Going to these classes really calmed my anxiety around birthing and the birth experience. I felt empowered to make the right decisions for myself and my family. My partner and I learned what to expect and how to advocate for me during labor and delivery rather than just doing whatever they said. All of the instructors here are so friendly and they answer all of your questions thoroughly. Additionally, each of the 4 classes sent us home with a workbook with more information in it that we have been able to continually refer back to. Prenatal Yoga really helped to clear my mind and made me more flexible and open for birth. I took the breathing exercises we did and applied them during my labor. The Womb Room made a huge impact for me and I really think it’s because of them that I was able to feel so confident and have such an amazing birth experience. I continue to do Postnatal Yoga as well as Baby and Me Yoga, both have been amazing. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Took another five star class with Kristie! This time my husband and I attended the Comfort Measures class in person after having taken the Baby Basics course with Kristie for our first two years ago. I planned on having an unmedicated childbirth this time and knew I needed to get educated and learn coping mechanisms.
I can’t rave enough about this class. I felt educated, empowered and informed when I left. I no longer felt the dread and anxiety that I did walking in. After having my baby earlier this month, I can 100% say that I wouldn’t have been able to make it through without Kristie and her class. I used the coping mechanisms she shared, but almost more importantly, my husband was my advocate. Kristie focused as much on the support person as she did the mommas during the class, equipping and empowering them to advocate and support their wives. My husband was able to be exactly what I needed thanks to this class.
Even if you’re planning on a c section or an epidural, Kristie makes sure to include all possibilities in her class. I can’t recommend this class and this company enough!

I receive several services from The Womb Room, all of which are great. I wanted to comment specifically on the Holistic Childbirth Essentials class with Kristie Graybill, which was fantastic! I did the one-day condensed version, which was 7 hours. I was a little concerned about being stuck in a classroom that long, but it was so engaging, fun, and informative that the time flew by for me. Even after doing a bunch of research on my own, I was happy to learn every piece of information that we covered. Highly recommend!!

It's hard to quantify the impact that the lovely ladies of The Womb Room had on our birth experience.
Kristie's Holistic Birth class and Baby Basics class gave us such peace of mind. Her ability to instill such confidence in us and enabling us to just surrender to the unpredictability of birth and parenthood was amazing.
Prenatal yoga classes with Myriam gave me the strength and confidence to feel empowered both physically and mentally as I approached birth.
And we wouldn't have felt so prepared as a couple and as new parents I'm general without our doula, Meg. She held our hands through the emotional times before, during, and after birth. In a birth that went every direction EXCEPT according to plan, she kept us grounded through it all.
When it comes to surrounding yourself with a superb birth team, I cannot recommend these ladies enough. 💙

Given that I had just moved here from Chicago in January, I wanted to find a prenatal yoga class to meet people. What I ended up finding was a whole birthing community! One with education classes and doula’s. My husband and I signed up for the 6 week zoom holistic course. We absolutely loved having Kristie as our teacher. She brought an energy to each class that enhanced our birthing journey. We had an amazing group and made fast friends. Looking forward to continuing life as parents with our womb room family ❤️

As a new parent I was very nervous. I cannot say enough great words about Kristie and the experience we had at the womb room. The class was informative and fun. It was great to not only learn how to care for a newborn but also feel a sense of community with other new parents and instructors as we got ready to make this huge step in life. We continue to keep up with post birth classes as it is helpful to feel as there are support options through this great company! If you haven't booked your class yet...get on it!!

The Womb Room was the perfect location for our daughter’s baby shower. We enjoyed hosting a cozy intimate baby shower in the Womb Room located in a striking historic building. The staff was so welcoming and made the whole process easy from start to finish. A shout out to Myriam who went above and beyond to help us set-up as well as providing a lovely calm yoga session for us before our event. Thank you to Lisa for answering all of our questions. The large parking lot, the beautiful wood studio floor, impressive red brick castle building and amenities such as a kitchen sink, Bluetooth speaker and clean bathrooms made this unique space a winner!

My husband and I took the Holistic Hospital Series through the Womb Room with Kristie. Kristie is absolutely amazing - super friendly and very knowledgeable. She taught the material in an unbiased and factual way so that we could make informed decisions to meet our wants/needs. She also created a comfortable (virtual) atmosphere for open discussion, which helped our class form a sense of community.
Now that we’ve taken the class, we can’t imagine experiencing labor without this knowledge and confidence. We would highly recommend taking this class, especially for first time parents!

My husband and I attended the Holistic Childbirth class with Kristie and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Kristie is incredibly engaging and knowledgable when it comes to all things childbirth. Both my husband and I left feeling very prepared and confident to bring our baby girl Earthside whenever that may be. The only thing the studio needs to improve on is better seating. The class was 6 hours and the hard plastic chairs were not the most comfortable for myself or my partner. Overall, I would recommend this class to any first time expecting parents or seasoned expecting parents who want to feel empowered and in-control of their birth story.

Marissa was a godsend for our family emotionally for me & of course helping with our newborn. I'm a first time mom and man oh man was coming home with a little baby both very exciting and scary. Marissa made the transition all that more supportive, manageable, and reassuring. I had a very tough time breastfeeding the first couple of weeks and also with having to pump multiple times a day. Ultimately, I ended having to go to 100% formula feeding which was not something i expected. Marissa was so helpful and validating with many pro formula resources which helped tremendously in easing my mind and finally getting into acceptance of bottle/formula feeding. I'm about three months postpartum now and loving motherhood! It sure does have it's challenges, but we're adapting very well these days. Thanks you Marissa for your support, love, and patience with our family. BIG Hugs!!

My partner and I are very glad we took TWB childbirth class. We were provided with a ton of great information that empowered us to ask the right questions of our medical team, make the best decisions for our family, and prepare for the realities ahead. Our instructor kept our virtual classes engaging and we really enjoyed getting to know the other class participants as well. Highly recommend!

We took the 1-day Wholistic Childbirth class with Kristie and the Infant Basics class with Odele as a part of a 4-class package. Both instructors were very well informed, engaging and inclusive. They took time to answer our questions throughout the events and made sure we felt welcomed during our time at the center.

My husband and I participated in the Womb Room's six week virtual holistic hospital birth class with Kristie - it was fantastic! She covered everything from prenatal visits through to delivery and the golden hour. It was with her support/encouragement I actually changed providers at week 30! I felt much more confident after completing the class. It was through the Womb Room that we found our doula, Meg Ruzicka! Meg was absolutely wonderful. Her pre natal visits were thorough and we were able to practice the hands on comfort measures that we learned in Kristie's class. My birth did not go as planned but as soon as Meg arrived to the hospital I felt at ease. I honestly cannot imagine going through a caesarean without her. She was present in the operating room, recovery room, and advocated on my behalf to take my placenta home to be encapsulated (which I also had done throught the Womb Room - HIGHLY recommend!). Meg's postpartum visit was incredible - providing a warm meal and tea for me (truthfully, it was the first time I was able to rest since being home). I highly recommend everyone at the Womb Room for support through the birthing process!

We took the one-day Holistic Childbirth class. The information provided was clear, relevant, evidence-based, and accessible. They also are open-minded about the choices people make with their births. I've been doing a lot of learning from books, which can be overwhelming--it was so helpful to have a professional pull out what they felt like are the most important things to know, and for my partner and I to have a shared framework. Thank you!

I highly recommend the womb room and everything they have to offer. I’ve never personally been to their location (yet) but have benefited so much through the website and social media content. I absolutely could not have gotten through my pregnancy without the virtual prenatal yoga with Emily- @fireandearthyoga I wholeheartedly believe it prepared me for my amazing all natural childbirth. I had my placenta encapsulated by Kristie Graybill - @birthworks_baltimore. She was amazing and completed this beautiful encapsulation process in my home, all in one day! Arrived in the morning, set up, shared with my husband and I the process, and returned promptly in the evening to finish, very clean and detailed, left my kitchen just as it was found. She offered a wealth of knowledge, and all around great conversation. It was quite obvious she loves what she does and does a great job. I couldn’t be more thankful to have met her and be able to use her services!

I can't say enough good things about the Womb Room. What an incredible resource for birthing people and their partners, all in one place. The community I experienced in Myriam's prenatal yoga classes sustained me every week. The knowledge we gained from Odile's Infant Care class made us feel less scared and more prepared. And we loved our experience in the Holistic Childbirth Series with Kristie. She made birthing people & partners feel included and essential, built community with other new parents-to-be, and helped us feel much more confident in our knowledge of the process: the things the body might do on its own AND the ways that medicine might get involved -- without judgment. She also helped us feel empowered to advocate for ourselves with care providers, which has transformed our experience and sense of agency. Now that our baby is here, Jonelle's lactation consultations have helped us solve really challenging feeding problems without judgment and with lots of tenderness towards me and baby.
And most important, I have to shout out our doula: Get yourself a doula like Shindreia. So much research shows that one of the most important factors for maternal outcomes is continuity of care, and you’re just unlikely to get that in a hospital setting. We loved the OB who performed my c-section, but we met her for the first time less than 24 hours before she was operating on me. But Shindreia has been with me since the first trimester, texting to check in and cheer me on, visiting our house to prepare us for labor and pet our cats, and just being a consistent, constant source of expertise and support. She didn’t get to be there for our baby's big entrance (yay, Covid) but she was on the phone with us guiding us through the major decision of pivoting our plans to c-section to keep me and baby well. It’s so essential that birthing people feel they have a friend and expert guide through this huge passage. Shindreia gave me that gift, and I’m so grateful.
The Womb Room has been a life saver. I know so many friends in other cities who had to search far and wide to pull together a team of experts, or couldn't find birth workers at all. All we had to do was go to the Womb Room's website. So, so grateful.

Fantastic childbirth course! I did the 7-hour one day intensive holistic childbirth course or as my partner calls it "hospital self-defense." It's so worth it! As a healthcare provider myself but a first-time pregnant person I have been highly disappointed by the non-information and limited education pregnant people receive from their providers. Everything I've learned and questions I've asked up to this point have been guided through internet searches and birth apps. To put it simply "you don't know what you don't know!" But there are people out there like Kristie Graybill and the Womb Room who are committed to empowering the pregnant person and changing the dynamic! After this course I no longer feel dependent. I have confidence and knowledge to have meaningful conversation with my new healthcare team. To know what questions to ask beforehand and how to make informed decisions during labor for whatever will happen is such an amazing gift! Thank you so much!

My sister in law hired a doula from the Womb Room and recommended them to me and I couldn’t be more grateful. Shante was our doula and I can’t begin to express how thankful we were to have her on our birth team. We are first time parents and really didn’t know what to expect. She was my lifeline while pregnant and has even provided so much support postpartum. During labor, she provided so much emotional support and I leaned in her a lot throughout the entire process. She really helped me get through the most challenging thing I’ve ever done. Both my husband and I are so happy we had Shante and would HIGHLY recommend her and the Womb Room to anyone looking for a doula. Truly made a huge difference in our experience becoming first time parents.

When my husband and I met Karen, our doula from the Womb room, her warm, professional, and passionate personality made us want to welcome her home during our post partum journey. We could not have made a better choice in working with her. She gives us confidence, helps us with a set extra hands and knows what a new mom needs!

We are so grateful to have found Odile Penet through the Womb Room. As we've told so many people, we cannot imagine what the birthing process would have been like without her. We didn't realize our need for a doula until 37 weeks into my pregnancy, after finding out that our baby was measuring large. Odile helped us parse through research to provide reassurance and develop a birth plan that worked for us. She was absolutely indispensable at the hospital - comforting my husband and I, recommending labor positions, and cheering me on throughout our daughter's birth. She also stayed in touch afterwards and helped us navigate the first two weeks of parenthood. She's extremely knowledgeable and has such a calming presence. Thank you, Odile!

I used The Womb Room doula and placenta encapsulation services. Cara Crowe was an amazing doula who provided great advice throughout my pregnancy and also helped to make my hospital delivery go smoothly. Odile Penet did my placenta encapsulation and I am blown away. The placenta pills have made such a huge difference in my postpartum recovery. Every time I take a dose I feel so much more energetic within the hour. It’s really helped to stabilize my mood and hormones, too. I have felt so much better after this delivery than my first and I think the placenta pills have played a big role in that. Thank you so much!

I can't recommend the Womb Room enough. They offer tons of services and are truly passionate about supporting new parents. I used them for doula support, childbirth education classes, comfort measure classes, and postpartum support and baby basics classes and more. Specifically, I found Kristie Graybill to be an extremely insightful educator. She connects with all of her couples and has tons of knowledge and advice to share. If have any child birth/parenting questions or need support, I guarantee the Womb Room has the resources to help.

My wife, Jasmyne, and I welcomed our little angel, Siobhan, to the world last week. Prior to, during, and after Siobhan’s birth, we learned so much from our time spent with members of the Womb Room team—and we are continuing to learn and grow as a family with the assistance of Kristi, Jonelle, and Shindreia. We are so thankful for their vast knowledge and ability to teach, share, and nurture. Without a doubt, our birthing experience would not have been the same without them. I am so glad they are here for us and other families in our community.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with The Womb Room. From prenatal yoga classes with Marium, Educational classeswith Kristie, and hiring my Doula Rachelle I have been extremely satisfied with their care, support and professionalism. I highly recommend!

Odile was a godsend! We hired her as a birth doula; however after working together, we quickly felt as though we also gained a new friend. She comforted our family during the birth process, while simultaneously helping to ease our worries when our plan did not go as we originally had hoped for. Not only did Odile help to bring us comfort, but she also brought a non-bias professional view point. I am not sure how we would have gotten through our birth journey without Odile's expertise, tips, tricks, and words of encouragement. We love Odile and highly recommend her!!!
Kevin Wenzel
We took the 6 week holistic child birth series with Odile, and have no regrets! We went through pregnancy, labor, and delivery with more confidence and readiness thanks to Odile :)

The existence of this place makes me love Baltimore even more. The space is warm and inviting, folks offering classes and support are SO skilled, and I credit this community for guiding my way into being the kind of parent I want to be!

We had the pleasure of having Kristie as our home birth coach and she was absolutely above and beyond. She is very informative and relatable, and made both me and my partner comfortable from the beginning. To us, she is not just a birthing coach, but a friend as well. We were truly blessed to have her navigate us through our emotional and nerve wrecking journey. We would definitely recommend Kristie!

My husband and I took Kristie's Baby Basics class when we were in the process of adoption and eagerly anticipating the countdown until our daughter's birth. We were going to be first-time parents, so we knew we had a lot to learn. We are so grateful we took Kristie's class. Kristie is a wonderful instructor and facilitates a warm, non-judgemental and safe space. My husband and I learned a lot of valuable information that helped us navigate the hospital experience and how to care for our newborn daughter once she was placed with us. This class was also a great place to connect with other expectant parents!

My husband and I took Kristie’s Out of Hospital Birth Class in August of 2021 as second time parents who had previously birthed in the hospital and were preparing to birth at home. Kristie’s class provided a safe space for us to discuss our prior experience and what we hoped for in our home birth. We really felt that Kristie cared about us and was invested in our birth journey. The class was interactive and fun with a good blend of material on the physiology of birth and techniques for comfort/relaxation and progression. We left the class feeling very prepared and excited for our home birth experience, with a full menu of customized options we could draw upon during labor and birthing which we hung in our birth space. Our son was born in September and it was really a wonderful experience for which we are so grateful.

Karen Kelly, postpartum doula at the Womb Room, was the best investment we made for our family after giving birth to our second daughter. She is incredibly knowledgeable about breastfeeding, healing/recovery, and newborns in general and offers support with warmth and compassion. She’s very focused on making sure the health of the mother is being prioritized. From the first time she was at our home, she swooped in and just started doing things around the house for our family and for me. She doesn’t need a lot of direction because she is so experienced which I loved! She’s a great cook and made so many amazing meals for our family. She is also great with older children- she entertained our 3 year old for several hours on one occasion while I rested. I cannot recommend Karen highly enough. I wish every new mother could have the support of a postpartum doula like Karen! The resources offered at the Womb Room in general have been invaluable to me. I got a lot of great tips from the Lactation support group as well!

My husband and I took the Holistic Childbirth class with Kristie at the Womb Room and it was awesome! As a first time mom, I feel so much better prepared to have an informed and calm hospital birth. Kristie was so knowledgeable and funny, and it was great to create a tribe of other soon-to-be parents. In fact, we liked the Holistic Childbirth class so much that we signed up for Kristie's Baby Basics class as well. That was super useful, with overviews of major baby topics like safe sleeping, baby wearing, breastfeeding, etc. I highly recommend the Womb Room's classes (including their awesome Prenatal Yoga) and Kristie as an instructor!
Myriam Alexander-Kearns
Last night my husband and I took the Comfort Measures workshop with Kristie, and we both left feeling much more comfortable in our preparation for birth later this month. As first time parents, we are both pretty nervous about the birthing process, but the comfort methods presented and practiced during the workshop made us both feel readier than ever - me in birthing, and him in supporting me. Kristie has such a wealth of knowledge on everything birth and related resources, and it was wonderful to learn from her. A must-do workshop for anyone in their third trimester and their partner!

My husband and I recently took the Birth Basics class at The Womb Room with instructor Kristie Graybill. It was intimate, informative, and we feel much better prepared to handle our first birthing experience. My husband found it especially helpful in that it gave him specific and concrete ways in which to be a supportive and active part of the birthing process. Highly recommend!

Karen was our postpartum doula and she was so knowledgeable and helpful! She was a wonderful resource and helped me navigate everything involved with becoming a first time mom. I feel so much more confident as a mother because of Karen’s support and guidance! I also worked with Jonelle for lactation support and she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I met with her 3 times and by our last session I had resolved my challenges with breastfeeding and had a plan in place to continue my breastfeeding journey. I am excited to continue using the many services offered by the womb room!

I highly recommend for placenta encapsulation. Fast, accommodating service, and Kristie is absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable! I was unexpectedly induced two weeks early after a routine doc appointment and a plan for placenta encapsulation was still on my to-do list. Needless to say I was panicking a bit. Now I had a placenta in my fridge with a very narrow usability window and trying to figure out a plan along with a new human’s needs lol.
After some research while still in the hospital, I found the womb room and was impressed with their overall philosophy and platform. I left a voicemail and someone called me back within a couple hours, explained the process and promised they’d do their best to find someone to come encapsulate in the next day or two. And they delivered! Kristie came to my home to prepare the pills which I loved. My placenta stayed in view the entire time. She explained the process thoroughly as she went through each step and was so pleasant to talk to…though she was also mindful that I may not want to talk and was respectful of my space by offering me an out of random chit chat if I preferred lol. I really appreciated that.
Given this experience, I look forward to participating in their postpartum activities and will explore other services as we plan for our second child in the near future.

We attended the one day childbirth education class with Kristie, and it was beyond what we hoped for! Kristie was knowledgeable, funny, responsive, and engaging for the whole class. The day was interactive and felt customized to the unique experiences of us and the other participants. My husband and I have very different learning styles and came in with different expectations, but both of us walked away feeling that this was unquestionably a good use of our time and money.

We had Cara as our doula for baby #2 and I’m so happy with how our journey unfolded! I felt more scattered during this pregnancy with a toddler already running around and it was very comforting checking in with her. We had a beautiful pre-birth session and I really felt like she heard my emotions surrounding my first birth and what I was hoping for this time around. She listens to the details, is insightful and simultaneously gives a calming and invigorating energy to the room. My labor was super quick and I couldn’t be more grateful for how she helped me cope with different positioning as I could not manage the surges while lying on my back before I decided to go with an epidural. I couldn’t have gotten as far into my labor naturally without her encouragement and strategies and she supported me when I had reached my limit. I felt more empowered with my choices with her in the room with us. Thank you, Cara!
Annie Embertson
My partner and I highly recommend the Holistic Hospital class with Kristie! We learned a lot before our first child was born, specifically about how to advocate for ourselves, how to trust the process, and that each birth is different but knowledge is power when going into it.
She also taught us about doulas and prenatal chiropractors, which we personally ended up adding to our care team.
We enjoyed our virtual class, especially since Kristie nurtured the community aspect and helped us create a comfortable space with our digital classmates.
A great experience that we highly recommend!

We were on the fence about investing the time and money in childbirth education since this is baby #2, but I’m SO glad we did and that we chose The Womb Room (Holistic Childbirth Essentials)! Kristie and Marissa were incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and kind, and even having given birth before (granted it was in early-pandemic 2020) I learned so much from them. Not to mention how accommodating they were in bending over backwards to make sure we got the full class experience and content despite having to leave a bit early for a covid-rescheduled wedding. I love that TWR offers both full-day and series options, in-person and virtually respectively, so that pregnant folks and families can find what works best - I will definitely be recommending this inclusive, fun, informative class to all the birthing people I know!!
Annie
This course was awesome and I would highly recommend it to any parents-to-be! Kristie was very informative and made us feel super comfortable and we had a great time! My husband and I walked away feeling informed and excited for our birthing journey!!

I cannot say enough good things about Kristie Graybill's classes at the Womb Room. I'm pregnant with our first and my husband and I wanted classes that would explore all options in relation to childbirth and newborn care and her classes fit the bill. They explored both medical and more natural options so I felt like I had all the information to make a truly informed decision. Kristie, herself, is so down to earth and has so much knowledge to share but also can speak to her own experiences with her own 3 kids. I have done both classes though my hospital and through the Womb Room and the Womb Room has been by far the better option. I cannot recommend these classes enough and definitely plan on joining their parent groups after babe is born.

Excellent childbirth & baby education for new parents, great yoga and nice facility near Remington/Hampden; provides a solid network to birth workers (doulas, lactation consultants, midwives, OBs, pediatricians, and more) in the area

My husband and I signed up for private childbirth and postpartum and baby basics classes, which we took with Odile Penet in our home. Odile was absolutely wonderful. Her calm, evidence-based approach along with her wisdom from years of experience witnessing hundreds of births gave us the confidence to think that maybe we really CAN do this after all. I really appreciated being exposed to more obscure elements of birth, such as what the hospital monitors look like, so that in a high-emotion moment I think I will be less overwhelmed by the unknown. We also really loved all of the comfort strategies and hands-on exercises. Finally, having these classes in our home made this intimidating subject way less so -- we felt really free to ask all of our dumbest questions. Merci Odile, and thank you Womb Room!

My husband and I hired Meg as a doula for the birth of our first baby this past May. Meg was amazing and was so responsive with any questions or concerns we had during the pregnancy. She made me feel empowered and gave us great recommendations any time we asked her for advice during the pregnancy. We gave birth in a hospital and it was so great to have her there to make myself and my partner feel more at ease throughout the process. I don’t know what I would have done without her massages and other comfort measures during labor!! We also took the Holistic Hospital birthing class with Kristie, which was very informative and it was nice to connect with other couples. The yoga classes that the Womb Room offer are also awesome! Overall the Womb Room is an amazing community and resource, I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a doula or any of the other services they offer.

My husband and I took a Holistic Hospital Birth class with Kristie Graybill through the Womb Room and we couldn't be happier with our experience. I have found that every single service that the Womb Room provides is pure gold and this class was no different. Kristie is GEM! She was so kind and understanding and explained all the information in such an engaging and compassionate way. My husband and I signed up late so we missed the first class and were unable to attend the last class and Kristie so generously did a special makeup class for us without any hesitation. Kristie did a great job of engaging the partners so they felt empowered to be the best birth support they can be and took to the time to answer any and all of our questions. If you are looking for a holistic understanding of how to give birth in the most empowered and healthy way, this class is for you!

My husband and I took two virtual classes at The Womb Room and loved both! We took the birthing boot camp and baby basics class with Kristie and learned so much in just a short period of time. We went in with so many questions and concerns about everything we didn't know about this process and she was so kind and thoughtful about her answers. I feel like I am prepared for whatever is thrown my way during labor!

I love the Womb Room! I feel so lucky I had the opportunity to go to prenatal yoga classes through my pregnancy. It absolutely made a potentially stressful time much more normal and the atmosphere and structure of the classes gave me so much support. I met people in those classes who have now become my closest friends and our toddlers are friends, too. I don’t know what I would do without them, and knowing them is all thanks to the wonderful Womb Room community. Once our baby was born, we took parent/baby yoga classes and creative toddler movement classes together, we attended a weekly playground, and I also took postpartum yoga, too. I look forward to attending things there in-person again soon!

My husband and I took the 6 week Holistic Hospital Class with Kristie this spring in preparation for the birth of our first child. We cannot express enough what Kristie’s expertise and that class me can’t to us. We learned such important tools that I believe truly impacted my labor and delivery experience in such a positive way. We are so grateful to the Womb Room and specifically to Kristie!

As first time parents, the Womb Room has become our go to place for resources, classes, and community. Both my husband and I took the Holistic Hospital Birth class with Kristie Graybill and it was SUPER empowering. We learned so much about all the "choose your own adventure" options that can come up during birth without having to hear horror stories from well meaning strangers! Kristie gave us a shared language to talk about our hopes, fears, and expectations. My husband and I grew closer through the discussions and activities in the class. The weekly class became sacred time and space for us to mentally focus on
becoming parents. Additionally, Kristie went the extra mile to make sure we got to experience all the classes content by scheduling a make up session for us. We can't wait to take the baby basics class! Fingers crossed with Kristie as the instructor :)

My husband and I followed the holistic hospital birth class with Kristie Graybill from the Womb Room and had an amazingly positive birth experience, the kind that you can’t even write in the most ideal birth plan. We strongly recommend this class because we believe it empowers couples to advocate for themselves and really prepares you for that big day. We couldn’t be more thankful to The Womb Room team for all the support pre and postpartum.

I participated in a 6-week Birth Class led by Kristie Graybill. We met on Sundays with a few other couples (partners were present). As a man, I have to say that there is not a lot of information out there specifically for men around what birth is like. It was only in this class that I realized that there isn't a lot out there because WE should know what it is like from the woman's perspective. Being able to ask questions, practice comfort measures, and talk through all the phases of birth has shown me how to be present during our daughter's birth in a way that is more than just "supportive."
BIG SHOUTOUT to Kristie for holding such a warm, welcoming, and informational space virtually. I highly recommend this course to anyone (regardless of gender), especially those that aren't feeling ready/have anxiety around their baby's birth. I feel prepared for "B-day" and much more comfortable with the wait to welcome our daughter earth side.

Finding The Womb Room has been such a blessing during my pregnancy. While I miss the in person connection with other moms and moms-to-be, The Womb Room has done a beautiful job making room for connections in the virtual space. The prenatal yoga classes and Becoming Mom support group helped me feel confident and strong in navigating labor and delivery. My husband and I used many of the tricks and tips we learned from the Comfort Measures Course, which I believe helped me through an unmedicated labor, even after having been induced. All of the instructors and educators are warm and welcoming and the community of moms and moms to be are so supportive. I would highly recommend this space to any mom navigating pregnancy!

The staff in understanding, kind, and always helpful. You'll be embraced during this important moment of transition in your life at The Womb Room.

Moving to a new city 20 weeks pregnant felt utterly overwhelming at first. Thankfully, I found the Wombroom! Springing for their Holistic package was the right call; it includes pre-/postnatal yoga (shout out Katlyn Talerico), birthing classes (shout out Kristie Graybill), the support of our wonderful doula (shout out Shante Ferguson), pregnancy support groups, and more. Moreover, by attending Wombroom classes, I've been able to connect to many wonderful expecting mamas and local resources. I heartily recommend the Wombroom to all!

I would like to give specific feedback about my Doula Shindreia. She made my Woobroom experience worthwhile. As a woman of color I was very concerned about my birthing experience since the odds of maternal death are much greater. I was concerned because it was challenging finding a Doula who understood and empathized with my specific concern- until I met Shindreia. From day one she was in lockstep. She understood my needs and was a tremendous support in assisting with my birth plan. I had a great labor experience. She danced with me sang with me and got me through some of the scariest moments. I had challenges after giving birth she was amazing and advocated for me at the hospital. She literally helped save my life! My daughter and I are eternally grateful!

Kristie was a great instructor who helped these first time parents have a better understanding of all of our birthing options. Although the class was remote over zoom, we were still able to learn from the other participants concerns, questions and experiences. Would highly recommend!

Me and my husband took the out of the Hospital Birth Series with Kristie Graybill and had a great experience! The class helped us to feel confident and prepared for the labor process. Kristie was very supportive and often took the time to contextualized information to our personal experiences. Definitely recommend!

I can't say enough good things about the Womb Room! I wish I had found them earlier in my pregnancy. Kristie is an incredibly kind and thoughtful teacher; we loved her childbirth class. It was focused on the areas I was most interested in (comfort measures, partner exercises, and evidence-based), and she kept it fun and engaging. Odile is our doula and she has been a phenomenal resource and source of support for my questions! The Womb Room also offers a free Becoming Mom support group, which has been really helpful in linking me to the motherhood community and offers a space for me to bring questions every week. The owner, Karen, is committed to making The Womb Room a safe and open space for new moms. Thank you!!!

We had a fantastic experience in Kristie Graybilll’s Holistic Hospital Series! She provided a safe space for expecting parents to learn from her and each other. We feel supported by Kristie and the Womb Room community. Highly recommend!

I've only used The Womb Room's services for postpartum doula, we had Karen and she was awesome! She helped with practical stuff (cleaning pump parts, she made me a frittata!) but also put my mind at ease about all the questions I had that felt urgent to me, but didn't rise to the level of calling our pediatrician. She was great!

Bottom line - this class was the reason my wife was able to avoid an unnecessary C-Section.
At 37 weeks, we had to induce labor, due to risks from onset high blood pressure during late pregnancy. At this point, we were actually just finishing our last class of the Holistic Hospital Series.
Equipped with some of the knowledge and techniques from the class, we were able to navigate induction, labor, and delivery with utmost confidence, even though basically nothing went according to what we planned or envisioned along the way. We wanted a natural birth (no meds, epidural, etc), but induction would prove to be a bit too unnatural for us to continue according to that plan. My wife had to accept one of her fears was coming true - that she had to get an epidural.
HOWEVER, thanks to this class we knew exactly what phase of labor we were in, what laboring and pushing positions would be best for us, what exams we could expect and why, what questions and conversations we could expect from the doctors and nurses, what the medicines were for and what the risks were for each, and so much more. Most importantly - we knew what questions to ask when we didn’t know!
This class taught us how to be our own advocates, so that we could understand the things we could and couldn’t control.
Our doctor told us we should move forward with a C-Section, as our baby was not responding well to the induction process. This was horrifying news as it was our biggest fear. Our newfound ability to know how to deal with the situation though, allowed us to counter the doctor’s initial recommendation to buy some time and try some repositioning of the baby in hopes my wife could progress further without increasing risk to the baby. Lo and behold, the baby responded positively very quickly and my wife could continue laboring comfortably for 6 more hours until he was born!
If we didn’t know in advance how to react to the news, I am ABSOLUTELY certain we would have had to trust the recommendation from the doctor and my wife would be traumatized from the procedure. We are so incredibly grateful that we were prepared for what we wouldn’t expect.
***Disclaimer - I am not trying to say that medical staff should not be trusted or that you should contradict their advice. In our particular situation, the recommendation was presented in a way that implied we had no choice. If we were unprepared, it would have been received that it was an emergency and we had no choice. Just want to credit this class for helping us understand what the doctor was really saying. We do believe they wanted the best for us.
I honestly couldn’t imagine going through such an amazingly challenging process (relatively speaking as the partner, of course) without the knowledge and insight from this course. I felt so good that I could speak confidently for my wife, read and anticipate her needs, remain calm, and ultimately support her, knowing that she could trust me fully while she was going through such a wonderfully difficult and vulnerable experience. I owe that ENTIRELY to this course.
Our instructor, Kristie, deserves all of the praise I could offer. She speaks from experience and is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and caring. She took personal interest in each of our journeys and allowed us to feel that we were in a safe space for discussion. As a former teacher (and a mom), she has the skills to present the material in very clever and unbiased ways, and we were excited to participate and learn with each class. We could go on and on with admiration and gratitude for her.
1,000/10 - would recommend this class. Thank you, Womb Room!

My wife and I contacted the Womb Room because it was recommended by one of her doctors. We had no idea about the birthing process or even the parenting process. The Womb Room customized a curriculum based off what we described our needs to be and we were matched up with Odile! We loved Odile very much! We saw her three times and after each time we felt more and more comfortable/prepared for the journey we were about to embark on. Any questions we had were answered by Odile. The three sessions we had took place in our home which made the environment more comfortable for us, and they were actually a lot of fun. We would recommend doing something like this to any new parent. We're so thankful we did this and so thankful to have met and gained some knowledge from Odile!

Shanté was amazing! I could not have gotten through my pregnancy or birthing experience without her support. She made me feel so special and cared for throughout my entire journey. She visited me during my pregancy to do exercises with me and also was by my side the entire time during my laboring process. She constantly checked in on me through calls and texts from the first time I met with her and even now after two months of my baby being born. She immediately makes you feel right at home and is such a caring person! She made sure my family and I had a great experience from start to finish. I highly recommend her to everyone!

We took the Comfort Measures class with Kristie. The class equipped my partner with strategies to keep me calm and comfortable during labor. I cannot say enough good things about Kristie as an instructor. She is a wealth of knowledge and so fun to work with!

I hired Shanté Ferguson as my doula through the Womb Room. She was excellent—a wealth of knowledge and practical help. She met with us at our home after we first contacted her to discuss birth plans and to give me some helpful exercises to do to prepare. She was always accessible and communicative by text and phone in the prenatal period. When my water broke about a week before my due date she was ready to go. In the hospital she was all the support I needed—helping me with positioning and breathing for my contractions. When I decided to get an epidural she was supportive of that decision. At first the epidural only took effect one side of my body and she was also helpful in communicating with the nurses and doctors to correct that. She kept me well-hydrated throughout and seemed to anticipate my needs. The nurses also told me afterward that they very impressed with her ability to lend a helping hand where needed. When my little one was born he needed some help breathing at first and Shanté stuck around with me until he was doing well on his own. She is the best!

I highly recommend the womb room!! The support they offer through pregnancy is amazing. I have signed up for 3 of the virtual prenatal class series on zoom for my pregnancy and It’s been wonderful. I love the community and It’s great to connect with other Moms to be. The yoga teacher Brielle is so helpful and knowledgeable. Karen the owner and therapist is outstanding too!!

Before I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted a doula as part of my birthing team. My husband contacted Karen at The Womb Room who encouraged us to interview the doulas on staff. Within 5 minutes of speaking with Meg, we knew she was the one. She was so passionate about her work and took the time to really get to know not only about me and my preferences, but also my husbands. I got off our zoom call and I felt like I had been talking to one of my sisters. There was a level of comfort and respect that was clear from the beginning. Meg is incredible at what she does. Her encouragement, excitement, and support before, during, and after my delivery was truly a blessing. Not only was she there to support me, but she was right there for my husband as well. I couldn’t imagine having gone through my pregnancy and delivery without Meg. She helped to make it all so magical and I am blessed beyond words to have had her there, every step of the way.

This year I became a new mom and didn't realize how much help I would need. I had a bad experience with a night nurse prior to contacting the womb room. When I reached out to the womb room for postpartum Doula services, Cara reached out to me to help. Cara has been nothing but extremely sweet and helpful. She made me feel instantly comfortable and all my worries were away. She has given me so much guidance on a lot of different things. What she has taught me has really helped me and my son. I have learned about dream feeding, Different sleep techniques, different options on getting my sons nails shorter, etc. Things have gotten so much better because of her guidance and help. Since she started, she has always been available if I had questions or needed anything. She has done so much for me that I will never be able to repay her. I will be recommending her/the womb room to all my friends and family who are expecting.

My husband and I contacted the Womb Room looking for a doula during the pandemic. We worked with Meg Ruzicka and she was amazing. She met with us prior to delivery to map out our birth preferences and to teach us Spinning Babies techniques. She came to our house to support us during early labor, and then again for a postpartum visit where she cooked us a nourishing meal and helped us process our birth story. Can't recommend Meg enough if you are looking for kind, encouraging and mindful doula.
Meghan Murphy
I contracted with Megan from the womb room in late spring/early summer 2021. We had great texting back and forth about many things during my pregnancy up until my son decided to come 7 weeks early! oops! She and Shante, another womb room doula, were the answers to everything this new mama and daddy needed. From Megan's virtual support to Shante's in person support, everything we went through in order to bring our son safely earthside was met with love and understanding. Can't recommend them enough!

The Womb Room has been a tremendous resource for me as a first time mom. I started doing prenatal yoga classes with Katlyn and Brielle just as a way to meet some other pregnant women and help me move and feel good during my pregnancy. Katlyn and Brielle are awesome instructors and it was so nice to have a sense of community. As things got more stressful with my pregnancy Brielle was a wonderful comfort and I ended up hiring her as my doula. I found I needed additional support postpartum and the womb room came through again with yoga and group therapy and support groups. I cannot say enough good things about all of the women who work there and all of the great resources and support they offer women through all stages of pregnancy/birth/postpartum. I would have felt lost without them.

I am so glad we chose to take Birth Basics with Kristie. As someone who knows very little about the birthing process, I found the information covered extremely valuable. Kristie was great at helping you feel comfortable and made sure everyone left feeling empowered. I highly recommend this class for anyone who wants to be well informed and would like to have tangible takeaways in their toolbox.
Katie Manning
I cannot recommend Shanté Ferguson enough. From the first time my husband and I met her we immediately felt comfortable and knew we wanted her on our birth team as our doula.
Shanté is so warm and always put me at ease. I loved that she came to my house for numerous visits to check in and do prenatal exercises with me. On the day of delivery Shanté was there every step of the way. Even when my birth did not go as intended, Shanté stayed by my side all through the night and pulled an all nighter even while I was taking short naps. She is a true rockstar. Her calm presence always made my husband and I feel like everything I was experiencing was normal. I cannot recommend Shante enough and she was truly a huge asset to my positive birth experience.

The Womb Room is an incredible resource for pregnant mamas and during post partum and beyond - with class offerings, group therapy and individuals with hearts of gold. You can find anything you need at the Womb Room.
I had Odile Penet as my doula for my second birth, a VBAC. I labored for over 30 hours and she was there every step of the way. I can truly say, I would not have been able to do it without her. The support, her knowledge and resources are invaluable. My husband sings the same praises. He too felt so supported by Odile and felt that he was able to experience the birthing process with me as we were both taken care of by Odile. Don't walk, instead run to meeting Odile. She is an angel from heaven!!!

I am so grateful for being able to book our doula Cara through the womb room. Although we had to use her virtually due to COVID her knowledge and reassurance prior to and on the day of labor was invaluable. My labor was uncomplicated and went as smoothly as I could have hoped.
She helped me create a birth plan and think through what I might want to do during labor to make things as comfortable as possible. She was incredibly responsive and taught me so much. I felt so supported the entire time and I found everyone I interacted with at the Womb Room to be nonjudgemental. You can use their services no matter what type of birth you are having (home, birthing center, medicated or unmedicated).

I had Meg and Cara as postpartum doulas after the birth of my daughter in May. Having Meg during the day a few days a week for over a month really helped me recover from birth and transition to parenthood. Cara was also amazing with her overnight support so that we could get done much needed rest. Meg and Cara were both so caring and sweet with my daughter and we miss having them in our home! I would highly recommend both of them as postpartum doulas.

I have used multiple services at The Womb Room, including prenatal yoga classes, pelvic floor workshop and most recently, their placenta encapsulation services with Odile. The placenta encapsulation was the best thing I did for myself postpartum and I couldn't recommend Odile more highly. Odile arrived the day after I returned home from the hospital. Before she began her process, she sat with me and we debriefed my birth and the feelings I was having coming off the birth high. She was quick and clean with the encapsulation. In addition to the pills, she surprised me with two prints of my placenta, the umbilical cord in the shape of a heart and broth made from the steam from the process. She slipped into our home during my most vulnerable time and gave me such a gift to aid in my recovery.

Shante is a life-saver. From counseling you and helping you prepare in your last trimester to staying by your side the ENTIRETY of your delivery to reassuring you and helping you adjust postpartum, I 10-out-of-10 recommend her for your doula needs!

A shout out to Kristie Graybill at the Womb Room. Her workshop was so educational. Her instruction style was very positive and non judgmental. My wife and I learned so much and feel much more prepared for this journey now.

The in person 7 hour birthing class we just took at the womb room was great! I really learned a lot and I know my husband did as well. It was great to work together answering questions about our goals and vision for our birth together. Also we did birthing positions together and will now have those to practice in these last few weeks leading up to the birth. Kristie was very good at delivering very useful info about how things might go at the hospital and how to advocate for yourself amongst many other things. The class went at a good pace and there's yoga balls or "birthing balls" to sit on so you can switch back and forth from chair to ball and won't get tired of just sitting in a chair. Bring your own ball too because you might like the level of inflation your ball has! I usually bring my own ball anyway but they do have balls there so you don't need to if you can't swing it or don't have one. We learned a lot and we did it together!! Thanks womb room!!! I feel more confident now about giving birth!

I had my first prenatal yoga class Wednesday. I was feeling all out of sorts the whole day and thought maybe I shouldn’t go to class. I’m soooo glad I went. I left feeling so much better (mind and body). I am looking forward to my class today. I would also like to utilize other services they provide like doulas and informational classes. This is my first child and would like for baby and I to have wonderful experience on this journey. Thanks The Womb Room.
