This is my first time receiving a massage in 15 years and I could not have been happier! The front area is clean, decorative, and welcoming. The front desk staff are professional and helpful during my check in and checking out. Angela was the show stealer and I will be returning back to this establishment to book her every month! I booked the raindrop therapy and ultimate foot massage. Angela was amazing with the pre assessment inquiring why I chose those services to determine if there were problem areas she needed to focus on during my session. She made me feel comfortable and at ease during the entire time and she was insightful on the services I was getting and their purpose. Her after care was great and she sent me off on a great farewell. I highly recommend this establishment overall and Angela is a great massage therapist to book!

My experience at Spa on The Avenue was amazing. I had long hair (a few inches above my waist) for more than 20 years. I have been thinking of cutting my hair for better than a year. I am also getting a few more strands of grey. I called the salon and explained my situation. The front desk was great, they encouraged me to set up a consultation and placed me with Cat. When I came in for the consultation, Cat and I discussed an angled bob and highlights. Cat was very honest, she was a little hesitant to cut my hair that short after having long hair for so long. I had a similar hair cut many years ago and have been thinking about cutting my hair for a while now. The day of my appointment, Cat and I discussed what we were going to do. We were on the same page. Cat did an outstanding job on my highlights- they are absolutely beautiful. My haircut was amazing. Cat did an incredible job - I can style it easily. I had gone to the beach and let it dry on it's own and it still looked great. I wish I could post before and after pictures! I will definately be returning to Spa on the Avenue.

I had a Berry Glow Facial with Barb S and it was amazing. Such a relaxing experience. I’ve also had a brow lamination done recently by her and she did a wonderful job. She’s very knowledgeable and passionate about skincare. If you want a great esthetician to go to for your skincare/waxing needs I would highly recommend her. She’s the best!

Kristin gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. I am so impressed. I live out of town or I’d be here very often!! Perfect pressure, warm towels and rice bags (or whatever they are) and lavender oil. Amazing!

Barb is my go to esthetician, I’ve been following her around for years no matter how far away she is from me. She does great Brazilian waxes and always makes me feel comfortable no matter what. Highly recommend her for anyone looking to get one done. Her facials are great too!

Cat Mills is the best hairstylist out there (seriously greatest of all time) & Ali does excellent waxing. Spa on the Avenue is definitely a gem in White Marsh. If you’re looking for high-quality spa services, look no further.

Very nice, but not as good as the other locations. I got a massage. No lounge/waiting room, had to ask for heat on the table, no discussion about aroma/oils, and the massage itself was just okay. It was about on par with Massage Envy. For a really relaxing/pampered experience, I'd rather drive farther for Spa on the Boulevard or Spa in the Valley.

I got my first ever facial here and I couldn't be happier. I was really nervous because I have very sensitive skin but the nice lady who did my facial told me everything she used thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable. It was so relaxing and nice. I really recommend going here.

Firstly, everyone at this salon is so nice including all the front desk staff. Absolutely loved my deep tissue massage with Kimmone! She was so nice and responsive to my needs. She asked me my problem areas and made a point to focus on them during the massage while also hitting every other muscle group. I left feeling tension free. I also spent some time in the salt cave. I've always loved this spa. Recently I booked a massage for my husband but when the date came he had an emergency and couldn't make the appointment. I called to let them know and apologized for the no-show. They told me when I booked, that I would be charged for a no show and I fully understood that. As I spoke with the host they were super understanding & offerred to wave the fee. They didn't have to do that and knowing the masseuse would be out of that money, I tipped her the price of the massage anyhow. We will return & for sure make the next appointment. Highly recommend.

I have been here twice and I've had great experiences both times! A few months ago I got a massage from Kimberly... And she was incredible! She listened to my needs and did a wonderful job. Recently I went for a pedicure and it was great! Kelly was amazing. She was super professional and I left with incredibly smooth feet and a very well done polishing. Highly recommend!

I made an appointment for my wife an I to get a facial. My wife has never had one and was extremely skeptical, but Barbara made her feel at ease right away. She was very patient, and very knowledgeable about the products and services. Now my wife wants to get facials on a regular basis, and even booked an appointment for a dermatolical facial in 2 weeks! We were happy with our results, and look forward to coming back!

Received a 45 min facial with Barb S. who truly did an amazing job. Asked about my concerns and walked me through how she addressed them along with what products she used. Even gave me samples to continue to use before purchasing. I highly recommend her for all your skin needs. Incredibly knowledgeable about products used, plus it was very relaxing

I see Rachel for all of my esthetician needs. I have gotten a Brazilian wax, facial, and lash lift and tint. Rachel always ensures I am comfortable and her energy is phenomenal. She is also very knowledgeable and helpful about after care for upkeep on the services she performs. If you’re looking for an esthetician, Rachel is great.

My husband and I both see Joyce once a month for deep tissue massages. He and i both have physically demanding careers and Joyce has been a godsend for us. We both struggled for the longest time finding a massage therapist that wasn't afraid of really dealing with deep knots and we are so thankful to have found her. After my first session with her I was able to stand totally straight for the first time in years, and I haven't gone to anyone else since.

10/01/2012 My former hair stylist retired after 35 years of services. I was at a loss as to where to go and who to trust with my hair. I had been visiting the Spa on the Avenue for years for pedicures and manicures. Carol was recommended to me upon request. I can't speak highly enough about the service she performs. On the very first visit, she listened to my fears about trying someone new, made suggestions and made a slam dunk with the results. I have been using Carol for a year now and have never been disappointed. She has exceeded my expectations in hair style, color and amazingly the technique in the cut to let my hair grow to a longer length, something I have not been able to do in ten years. Quality service, friendly and very experienced. Thank you Carol for a wonderful job. I call her the pilot, tell her she is in control....she knows what is best. Lori

Went for the first time today on a recommendation. I wanted to cut 6in of my hair and totally have a new style which is pretty bold for never visiting this salon. I was in and out in under an hour and I love my cut. She did exactly what I asked for as well as making suggestions...what every person needs since we are not the experts. Stevie was great and I will continue to go back. Wasn't as pricy or cheaper than some of the other salons I have visited, but they were worth every penny.

I have gone to Spa on the Avenue many times and I was always pleased with the way my hair looked when I walked out of there. The hair stylist(Athena) was fantastic and was always a pleasure to go to. She makes you feel welcomed and will listen to everything you say about what you want done to your hair and will make great recommendations. If something won't look right or the colors won't go well together she will tell you too:) I would recommend her to anyone that would go there!!!!!! WITH THAT BEING SAID....I highly dislike the staff at the receptionist desk. I have never felt welcomed by them and they make you feel like you are "putting them out" if you call or come in and ask a question. They are always too busy to help you and give you the feel that they are "exhausted" when they finally help you. This was not my experience with one person nor one experience, this happened with multiple staff members at the front desk and many times. I honestly cannot say that I have every received great customer service from the staff. The disrespect that I received when I was returning a call that I got from them was completely unnecessary and rude. When the girl called back and left a message, she rushed through the whole message and was not friendly at all. When I talked to her I would have expected her to be professional not to say, "I don't get what you are calling about" or "Why do you have to come in that late, you can't get here sooner?" It is sad that a FANTASTIC hairstylist has to be in the shadow of the the disrespectful front desk staff that is booking her appointments. After all, they are the face of the company and I would expect the face of the company to be pretty!

I am extremely particular about the way that my hair is cut. Athena does an awesome job! I have been going to her for several months. She listens and is knowledgeable about her craft. I love that it is very easy to schedule appointments at Spa on the Avenue and that they have Sunday and evening hours. Staff are friendly and helpful. Relax and Enjoy!!!

I've been going to Spa On the Avenue for years, having many different types of services. Everyone has always been friendly and overall each service has been enjoyable. My regular visits to this spa is for hair services that I always have done by Kelly. She does an excellent job. She takes her time, I never feel rushed, and she always does just what I ask her to do. She's also really great with giving advice on how to take better care of my hair and products that would help. I've gotten hooked on some products she has introduced me to which are also, so conveniently, sold right there at the spa!!

I finally found the place that know how to cut the hairstyle I want,for a really good price.i have highlight and haircut for only 180 very affordable compared to the other salon.Ms.Cat did my hair.she was really nice and she make sure I am ok and comfy and making sure I am satisfied.and I was.i really loved my hair..i even felt really bad coz I only tip her 25dollar which I know she deserved more.Ms. Cat if ever you seen this I am sorry I do not have anymore extra that day 😭😭😭..but I do recommend this place they are all nice

I had Massage Therapy today to de-stress for my Wedding Rehearsal tonight. The Massage Therapist assigned to me was Bex she was phenomenal in all aspects of the world. I feel blessed to have met such a genuine kind person. She made me feel welcomed which made my first visit to Spa on the Avenue remarkable.

I get my eyelash extensions here. I have always been pleased with the results and their attention to detail. They are always accommodating and pleasant. My natural eyelashes have been getting sparse over the years, so I don't know what I would do without them!

I have always been going here for spa treatments.....NEVER had a problem with any service. They have always been outstanding. BUT my only problem is the staff that works at the front desk.On my last visit which was 10/7/2014. The lady who check me out was RUDE and never answered my question to why my gift card would not work. I have emailed and even faxed the company to ask why my gift card would not work. STILL a week later no reply/answer. I really hope my next trip I don't have the same experience.

I heard good things about this spa when I moved to the area. I went first for a Hot Stone Pedicure. Even though it was 50 bucks, it wasn't any better than a regular pedicure. Willing to try again, I returned for a hair cut and color. I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't "wowwed" by the service either. Afterwards, I had a brow wax. The esthetician wasn't prompt (she kept me waiting for almost 15 minutes), and then when she was done she handed me the mirror almost as an afterthought (she should have asked if I liked the way she shaped my brows). When I expressed concern about a few stray hairs, she begrudgingly plucked them and sent me on my way. I didn't even get a chance to tell her that I wanted the tops of my brows waxed, too! I probably won't go back. Oh, and the tipping there is very confusing.

Hello just wanna say this is a nice spot to take your wife or girlfriend to for a nice day of relaxing I took my wife here because her feet was hurting from work because she walks around all day they did a wonderful job on her feet they did her nails and rubbed her feet and in the end it was nice to see her happy I would hope every guy would do the same and take there girl here I would definitely be going back to make my wife happy again

I got my first facial done here by Barb! Super nice receptionists and Barb was wonderful. She explained each product and step as she went and made me feel very comfortable. She also made product recommendations but was not at all pushy or trying to make a sale. You can tell she is passionate about skin care. I would definitely return here in the future!
