On a long weekend, we booked 60-90 minute massages and a 45-minute salt cave experience here. Easy to find and park, with upper level access for massages and lower level access for the salt cave. Massage staff was friendly and attentive, taking the time to talk through focus areas and adjust as necessary. The salt stone massage is a unique offering if you’re looking for something slightly more special. The services were well priced. There is a small gift shop with salt stones, salt scrubs, and salt lamps if you’re looking to take the peace home with you. The salt cave itself was the primary appeal for this place, with a small group setting in the cave itself with quiet music and water features to help you relax while absorbing the benefits of the cave. You will need to wear socks you’re comfortable walking in, and expect to leave all electronics and shoes at the door.

We had no expectations but we had a great time. The actual shop is really neat, there is a huge variety of salt products available for purchase and we looked around while waiting for our meditation. The cave was super cool! Jason told us all about it and the meditation was chill! Awesome ambiance.

I'm so happy to have the Asheville Salt Cave available in our community. The benefits are amazing and the relaxation is exactly what I need in our busy electronic filled lives. I also tried the Hammam and it was a really good detox, refreshing experience that helps me feel like I'm walking on air afterwards. The combo salt bath and hammam really help me to feel good naturally and have downtime to let all the stress life can bring just melt away. Total reset!

Visited the salt cave as a girls afternoon. I didn't know what to expect beforehand. The whole experience - from our first greeting to the explanation and relaxation of the salt cave - was a peaceful one. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to recharge their mind and body.

Visited the salt cave as part of a day trip to Asheville with my husband and 1 year old. Booked the Kids and Family session which is only available on Sundays and 10 am for 45 minutes. Like many others I didn’t know what to expect but did not feel any different during or after the session. They had toys laid out so that was nice. My kid played with the buckets and shoveled sand. The temp was cool not cold. We were all fine in short sleeves without jackets. Having not traveled much with my infant I was happy to find a relaxing option that allowed space for kids. Very considerate!

I did not visit the salt cave, but had a 90 minute massage in a room with probably 50 salt lamps. It was very well tailored to me with a mix of techniques (hot stones, firm pressue, light stretching and movement). Alison did a fantastic job listening to my needs and was warm, professional, and welcoming. I would definitely visit again and this time check out some of their other offerings!

If I could give it 10 stars I would. Went with my brother and husband. My masseuse was Michael and you could just tell he was highly trained. Best massage I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many! The other two therapists were also amazing. We did the salt cave which was a fun experience. I’d come back here anytime!

I didn't have any expectations and I was not disappointed. The salt cave experience is so soothing and nurturing; I was more relaxed than I've been for months. Wish I had one close to home. Community 45 minute sessions are $24 per person, max 8. The hammam was really awesome. We had a private steam room with water features and exfoliating mitts with Himalayan salts, of course. My perpetually stopped up head was finally open. No ringing and no congestion. At $55 per person (maximum 4), the 45 minute session, was super reasonable. They offer massage as well as private salt cave experiences. Plenty of couples stuff too. Everything seems to book up fast and you can only book online. We thought about returning the next day but no such luck. All full. They have an interesting retail space also. Next visit we'll plan further out.

After more than a year struggling with complete loss of smell and then smell distortion (a result from covid)… I was defeated. I happened to schedule a session at the salt cave while a friend was in town visiting. The experience was super relaxing and detoxifying AND as a HUGE bonus, I had a positive turn in my sense of smell within 24 hours of my visit! The best experience!! This got me hooked on salt caves, since coming here I’ve been looking for salt caves everywhere. We came out of the salt caves feeling intensely relaxed and at peace. When it says arrive early I thought it was just because you need to be on time but seriously ARRIVE EARLY it’s a part of the experience! The gift shop is wonderful, there are warm Himalayan salt stones for your feet, and they give you free relaxing tea to enhance your experience. The cave has this wonderful atmospheric fountain in it that makes sweet trickling fountain noises while you are in the cave and it’s so relaxing. My only complaint is that now I’m hooked on salt caves and there aren’t any in my state

This is a unique experience. It kind of felt like an expensive nap. They give you the option of ear plugs. I would recommend taking them up on that offer. If others make noise then it is distracting. There were 6 of us in the room for 30 minutes. I started to fall asleep but when anyone walks on the floor above the room it squeaks and is very distracting.

Lovely facility, nice staff, pleasant massage, cool gift shop. I'm giving it 3* because for the price point, this really should be much more of an experience. For a couples massage in a salt cave, it's $420 plus gratuity. That's A LOT of cash. You are only in the salt cave for an hour, and for the most part you are face down in a pillow. At other spas and health service places I've been to, for this price you would get the royal treatment: a bath robe, slippers, unlimited time in the sauna, unlimited time in the salt cave, some snacks and a free glass of wine. But, nope, here it's just massages. Given that I can get a better massage at my chiropractor's office for $60, I'm not sure what the selling point of this service would be that would justify the premium price. But very pleasant nonetheless.

Very nice place with great staff. Parking is available in this area. Have plenty of "try me" items. They do have blankets for the salt rooms but don't overlook the pillows on the ground super warm when u dig ur feet and hands. Lighting is soothing as well.

Came for the salt, fell in love with the massage! My therapist, Jeff was excellent! He gave new meaning to the concept of relaxation! The hot stones were just what I needed to bring my stay in Asheville to a fitting end! I highly recommend 90 minutes for the ultimate experience.

Amazing experience! I was in town for a weekend getaway and decided to schedule a 60 minute massage to start the weekend off right with! Soothing, calming, and relaxing atmosphere from the time you walk in! Beautiful place! Essential oils, salt stones and lamps, muscle rubs, etc on display for purchase! Foot salt lamps plugged in for you to relax your feet on while waiting on your massage! Water and tea to enjoy as well. Kelsey was my masseuse and she was wonderful! She focused on my problem areas perfectly without ignoring the rest of my body! I would recommend and will be back!

pretty easy to find metered parking nearby on a Tuesday mid-morning. the salt cave was one of the larger salt rooms I've been in before. Very reasonably priced. 45 minute session for about $20. Very relaxing experience. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. There was a small shop with a good selection of soaps and crystals too. Would go back if I was ever in Asheville again.

This place is an absolute gem. The Asheville climate is so different from where I live and shocks my system but the salt cave always helps restore my airways. Splurged on a restorative massage for the first time on the last visit and left incredibly relaxed. Stop in if you can make the time!

I would love to give a higher review but, the foot massage wasn't all that. I expected a foot massage where the toes, foot pad and heal were massaged. No, it was just the arch and not even the top of my feet. We had 4 in our group and they all said the same thing. They really shouldn't offer a foot massage service. The full body massage was awesome!!!

I absolutely recommend trying this experience. The ritual and health benefits of immersing in steam, pouring cool water over my body with copper bowls, exfoliating and cleansing my skin… left my entire being feeling so purified, relaxed, soft, and just blissed out! I like this place bc you don't come out completely covered in salt dust. I purchased a few items such as an elixir for king support, an oil roll for sinus issues & a portable salt inhaler. I would go back & would most definitely order those products either online from them or try to go through the vendor.

I have never done a Hammam steam bath. My wife and I went today. Two people, $110 total, 45 minutes. It was worth every penny. Very very clean, spotless actually. I am now on a search for something similar in New England, anywhere, but I can guarantee none will compare with this very special place.

My daughter and I just experienced our second visit. “Couples” massage in the salt room and then the Hammam. It’s our gift to ourselves and while it’s pricey we leave feeling better… so blessed and rejuvenated. We had Stephanie and Lisa taking care of us this time. We could not have asked for better massages. They strived to meet our needs and to help us relax. WONDERFUL!! Max gave us tips on how to make the Hammam more comfortable. 👍🏻 Of course we made a few purchases before we left. We are firm believers in the benefits of salt and massage therapies. I booked a couples massage a few weeks ago after reading up on the Salt Cave’s COVID policies (first pandemic massage!!) and I’m SO happy I pulled the trigger. It was an incredible experience overall. My husband and I have very different needs when it comes to massages and our therapists were AMAZING. The space was very clean and inviting, our therapists wore masks the whole time (as did we). We added in hot stone and aromatherapy to our massages and it was wonderful. I also tried the Thai herbal compress (which I loved!) and my husband added the CBD muscle cream since he has chronic neck pain. Definitely would go again!

I went twice in 2018 for the salt cave and massage while on vacation. A friend recommended the salt cave for my asthma, so I figured I'd try it out. I scheduled both appointments for a week day hoping to avoid busy crowds. Pros: massage was excellent, salt cave helped breathing and relaxation, shop has good selection of products, very friendly, helpful staff Cons: noise from garage takes a little getting used to, busy traffic, finding parking can be a challenge - allow extra time The first visit, my friends took the massage appointments before the salt cave so I scheduled mine for after. I got the Heal Your Sole Foot Massage and Aromatherapy Salt Glow, both with the same therapist. I cannot remember his name, but I was very pleased with the service. He is a great massage therapist and I left feeling pampered and relaxed. The second visit, I scheduled my massage before the salt cave and that's what I'll do from now on. I had the same therapist as before and he did a great job this time as well. After a massage, I always feel a little stuffy so the salt cave gave my body a chance to compensate. I could breathe a little easier and felt totally relaxed. I picked up a Himalayan pink salt mortar and pestle, a salt stone for home use and a travel dry salt inhaler. The product prices are a little high, but comparable to other boutiques.

Me and a group of friends went for a birthday we need 30 minute massage and 45 salt cave and it was very relaxing and calming. I would recommend that the massage therapist be a little bit more personal and maybe a little bit information on there products that they sell. Overall, this was amazing to do for the new year !! A must try!! Beautiful caves, the ceiling had nets holding salt so that you are completely enclosed! Absolutely loved this experience! I have severe allergies and asthma so Springtime is hard for me. I’ve been breathing easier the past couple days since my visit and I will be going back. Super sweet staff and the coolest gift shop!!

The experience in the salt cave was amazing. The combination of the low lights, the water sounds and the affects of the salt properties was soothing and purifying. I followed up the salt cave community room with a 90 minutes Hot Salt Stone massage. The experience was the best I’ve had and I’ve had massages around the country. The therapist really worked on the areas where I store my stress. How I felt after the massage was amazing BUT, how I felt the next day was life altering. I feel lighter, more energized and free of toxins. I drunk plenty of water all evening and could feel the toxins leaving the body. Truly amazing! Don’t go to Asheville without visiting the Salt Cave and getting a massage.

Everything I expected and more! I highly recommend laying on the salt floor rather than the gravity chairs, it makes you feel more connected. The staff was very welcoming and informative, the cave was cool, but the blankets made it warm and cozy. I can't wait to come back next year! (Wish I lived closer, this would be a weekly habit).

I was looking for affordable and relaxing things to do while I stayed with close friends in Asheville - waiting while my daughter spent an amazing week at Camp Watia! I made an appointment for a reflexology massage and a sit in their Himalayan salt cave. Both were an amazing experience! The place was so cute, clean and had knowledgeable staff about Himalayan salt and it’s uses and purposes! My masseuse was friendly and gentle and made my feet feel wonderful! I suffer with plantar fasciitis and this was just what I needed! The cave visit was afterward.. it was so comfortable and relaxing... their were chairs to recline in, as well as comfy places in the ground too. This experience and spa is a must in Asheville!

I booked a 45 minute session in the salt cave and a 90 minute hot stone massage for my boyfriend as a surprise. He said the salt cave was relaxing but when he went to get his massage a very small women walked in. He's a pretty big guy that lifts weights and said that she was basically out of breath 20 minutes in. I wish there was a discrete way to let them know you may need someone stronger if you're larger than the 'average joe'.

We went this past weekend (Sept 18) and I had the best massage I have ever had from George. I probably have had 30 in my lifetime. As for the "salt cave", it is more of a salt room. It wasn't very relaxing because it is below the parking deck. On a busy Saturday, the constant creek of the ceiling and thump of the tires above was distracting. (5 stars for George and 3 for the Salt Room)

So amazing! Such a wonderful environment! So glad I came to the Grand opening here. Met Jody (the owner of the Salt cave) & her mother Beth, beautiful spirits! Had an energy clearing with Jason (in the smaller Salt Cave) & was blown away with the energy in his hands! He works w Chakra stones while he does the cleansing and it was so powerful! I literally knew where his hands were (with my eyes closed) & him just hovering his hands above me!!! Tim showed us the larger Salt Cave & we spent @ 15 mins in there. It's like a breath of fresh air sitting in there, so pure! Katy helped us make our own lil self care kits w oils, salts, dried herbs etc. Also tried some treats from 'The Chill Peel' met Cedar the owner of The Chill Peel' & was drawn to her passion toward gratitude & love. Yes, go here! These people know what they are doing. You really do calm down and can meditate or sleep. Its the most calming atmosphere you can find on this side of the mountain.
