I decided to build a sauna. Everyone at the store was extremely helpful throughout the process, answering many of my general questions even before I spent a dime. The Harvia products are fantastic and I could not be happier with the stove and products that I purchased from Stove and Spa. They are very knowledgeable, and I really appreciated their expertise on many questions.

The fine people at Alaska Stove and Spa did everything they could to help me get a wood stove into my house. They assisted with design and materials needed. After sometime we learned from the Chimney Dr. that my current set could not support a stove. The high cost to retrofit prevent me from completing the project. Throughout the process they provided exceptional customer service and made sure the home was safe for use with a stove event if this meant loosing a sale. When I get the retrofit completed I will be back to get a stove from them.

After I left my first review I was called by Alaska Stove and they apologized for not returning my calls and stated they were swamped and honestly trying to service their customers. They came out and provided maintenance on my fireplace and now all is well. I truly appreciate it. I believe they need to simply communicate this to their customers so that we can hang in there with them. I like Alaska Stove that is their people and products. Until next time:)

So I am that guy that researches every minute detail and then asks 1000 questions because I want to be sure I am getting the best product. I have probably now spent several hours in this store asking questions about wood stoves and in particular the one I chose to buy and how to install it. I have also visited several other local locations. I will say had I not visited here first I would have been lost at every other place. I left feeling like I could dang near build one on my own. There was not a single detail about how it operated, how to install and pros v cons left unanswered. Of course I asked for the details and I think thats normal but never once did I feel rushed nor that my questions weren’t important. The only critique I could offer would be that they communicate a little bit better. I hadn't heard from them for a while after paying a significant amount for a stove. Come to find out it had to actually be manufactured and shipped. That is certainly understandable as it’s stove season but I’d rather have been made aware of that than had to call several weeks into it to find out it would be a few more weeks. And would have liked even more to have been updated as to when I could have expected it to arrive. In my experience I felt like the staff member I consulted with each time (same one) wasn't afraid to discuss common problems, errors and erroneous expectations that have created bad experiences for endusers and installers on an individual basis. Lots of examples that had simple solutions. I have had my stove and parts for about a week now and have read up on all the installation instructions. With the instructions provided and the input from the staff I really think its gonna take less than a few hours. I will post another review after the install and our first fire.
