My skin has never looked or felt this incredible. I have tried several places for facials and have had pleasant experiences with good results, but this place takes the cake. My esthetician's knowledge, energy, and passion made this a truly wonderful experience. Side note: I purchased facials for a friend and myself as her birthday treat. Unfortunately, she was unable to go. I felt terrible about cancelling her appointment but the staff were gracious and understanding (it was more than two days in advance but still, I know they're a small business and that can't be easy for them). All this to say--I felt welcome even before I set foot in the door. I unreservedly recommend Fountains Day Spa!

If you live in or near NOVA, do not waste your time going anywhere else! Frances is a masterful estitician. He will have your skin healthy and glowing! Carla is an AMAZING therapeutic masseuse with a wealth of knowledge. The entire team is fantastic and I am never disappointed after a visit to Fountains! I had a great experience a couple of weeks ago at Fountains Day Spa! This was the first spa I visited since moving to the area and I was not disappointed! The customer service, massage, and facial I received were all top notch and everyone was very kind and helpful. They also provided thoughtful guidance on what services would work best for me and my skin type, which was much appreciated. I am looking forward to returning soon!

I had two separate visits with three services in total. The first was a seaweed wrap and it was nice. The second service was two days ago with Amy for a massage and reflexology. I'm still in pain from her touch. My elbows hurt, I warned her I was healing from two fractured elbows. She twisted my elbows so much they've been hurting ever since. She found tenderness in my left shoulder and I told her it was painful, she assured me it would improve. This is not an experience I would want again. I don't know what she did with my right ankle but that hurts, too. I've needed heating pads, ice packs and ibuprofen for my back, shoulder and elbows ever since I left the massage therapy . I've had massage therapy from a different therapist for 5 years and never had pain like this. I did tip Amy thinking the pain would improve The parking situation makes it challenging to have a relaxing experience. This is not in their control but it definitely takes away from any relaxation experience.

I had a great experience with Loretta and Frances. My husband booked the great escape package and it was amazing. Worth every penny and I will be back. I had my spa experience on 10/17 and waited to see how I felt and how my skin reacted to the products before writing my review. I also had a glow that lasted all week and felt refreshed. Great products, great people, and an awesome experience. Much needed!

Hands down the best massage i've ever had. Well ahead of any membership-based salons or even the most luxurious spas in places like Las Vegas. Fountains Day Spa is wonderful. They take every precaution to ensure the safety of everyone that enters their doors. Everything is clean and beautiful. Even though this spa is in Old Town, there is free easy parking all around! I loved my deep tissue massage so much, I booked another service for next month. Everyone at Fountains was so warm and friendly, I felt right at home and even BETTER after my massage. This is the place you want- support local businesses.

This was my first experience at Fountains Day Spa. The spa was in the cutest little building and was clean, smelled of essential oils and had a very friendly receptionist who greeted me. I received a 50 minute combination massage with Carla. I usually request a man for massages because I like the harder pressure, but let me tell you, Carla was AMAZING! She was extremely personable, followed all covid related safety measures and gave one of the best massages that I have ever received. I left totally relaxed and refreshed for the day! Great work!

Torties Rule

Look no further! It took me a while to find a quality facial when I moved to this area 15 years ago. A friend recommended Fountains, and I've been going there ever since. I have to say that I trust French facial products more than any others, so the fact that they are a Guinot facility boosted my confidence in them even before I set foot in the door. All these years later, I still see Francis, who tweaks the facials to my needs, and I always leave with absolutely glowing skin, deeply relaxed after 80 minutes of pampering. I recommend facials to all my friends because of how much they have helped my skin issues (acne, dryness); and all who have gone to Fountains fall in love with Francis. Please know that this is a woman-owned, family business and not a franchise. I am not wealthy, so I choose deliberately where I spend my money. I will support a mom-and-daughter shop every single day! I also appreciate that the business is located in an original Alexandria house and not an antiseptic new construction. They did not destroy anything but used what was already available. Back to the French products--do your skin a favor and purchase at least one cream. The price tag may shock, but the products last 2-3 months. P.S. Stop next door at Fire Hook for a coffee and pastry before or after. (Ils ont des pains aux raisins !)

I had a Prental Massage and it was AMAZING! Soon as you walk in everybody was friendly and professional! Very clean! Everyone had on Mask and you wear a mask your whole visit! Wonderful, relaxing experience- I will be a returning customer! My husband purchased me a gift certificate a few months ago to receive a prenatal massage. I had never had one in the past and was a little nervous about how I would like it- I was pleasantly surprised! My therapist was Marcia and she was extremely attentive to my areas of concern (lower back and neck). She made sure I was comfortable and adjusted her massage techniques to get out all of my knots. By the end of the massage.. I nearly fell asleep! Can't wait to go back to get my next session. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. My boyfriend and I came here for a couples massage and I loved it. The place itself was relatively small but that is to be expected of many of the row houses in Old Town. When you walk in, the scent is so inviting, fresh, and clean. The staff is very welcoming and professional. The massages were fantastic. Ask for either Amy or Tiffany. I definitely recommend and would come back again.

GO HERE! My husband and I were visiting Alexandria for a weekend getaway and I scheduled myself the Pampered Pregnancy package. Best thing I ever did for myself! It was absolutely AMAZING. Lauretta provided the best prenatal massage I've ever had...she actually worked to relieve my aches and pains instead of just cautiously rubbing lotion on my body for fear of hurting me (as I've experienced with other prenatal massages). She is top notch!! Brianda performed the pregnancy facial and it was just as lovely. She was an absolute pleasure to chat with, her facial massage was wonderful (once again, it actually felt like a massage and not just application of product) and she used the most amazing cooling mask in the end that left me glowing. Front desk was also welcoming and even told me the cost breakdown per service beforehand so that I could tip appropriately. This place rocks and I highly recommend it!

I had an amazing experience here last week. The spa was welcoming as soon as I walked in. They offered me refreshments before i went into my massage treatment. My therapist listened to my details and truly paid attention to my body. I noticed I was tensed, but after my 80 minute session I felt better than before. I felt opened and relaxed. I’ve been getting massages at Fountains for years. I really appreciate the caliber of therapists they have. Additionally, management always tries to accommodate my last minute requests and are very responsive. I receive their email promotions a few times a week and generally always book a session based on those discounts, getting 15-20% off. This is so helpful since I consider regular massages a big part of my self care routine as a busy working mom of two. Can’t recommend this local, small business gem enough.

I love Fountains. Have been going for years. Last Tuesday (12/29) I had the MOST AMAZING facial with Erin (she totally is my new facialist!). And Amy rocked an 80 min combination massage really getting my shoulders and back to release the tension. If you sign up for the Fountains emails you get weekly notifications of specials - totally adds value to the already amazing experience. They take good care of you here and the services are top notch. Highly recommend!

As a Fountains Day Spa regular, I've ALWAYS received the best service and care that one could ask for. And I never thought it could get any better--that is until I had a reflexology massage with Francis. I came in with moderate back pain and overall blah feeling. I'd been told about the benefits of reflexology and was eager to try it. However, I was not prepared for the outcome. Thirty-minutes later, I literally felt like a brand new person. As the day progressed, I felt more energized and my back pain disappeared--and has not come back. During our session, Francis walked me through what he was doing, asked me about my needs, and gave me advice about what I should do after the treatment. He was incredibly professional and listened to and respected my requests. (I know some people are weird about the feet--but he really does have the magic touch.) Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend it to anyone!

I booked a body wrap and facial. The body wrap was fantastic. The therapist did a fantastic scrub and wrap and the scalp massage during the wrap was great. The facial was the best I have ever had. The combination of technology and mindful advice blew me away. The products that were used felt amazing and my skin looked amazing when I left. I have been using the products recommended (with the generous samples given) for several days and I am still very very happy!

I have always been a little apprehensive about getting a Brazilian wax. I found Fountains Day Spa online and the reviews were wonderful. I was more than impressed with the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. Annelise promptly came out to greet me and take me back to my room. From start to finish, our couples massage was serenity. My husband and I had gotten a joint gift certificate for our birthdays and we decided to book Marcia and Jessica. Before we went in for our massage we were greeted by Lauren who made us feel comfortable. We sat us upstairs in a private waiting area and served us chocolate and fruit. It was truly a great way to bond with my husband. Marcia and Jessica greeted us about 15 mins later and we walked in o the room which was dimly lit and fantastic! The smell and music were so calming. Each woman was welcoming and asked us if we had any problem areas that we wanted them to work on or any areas we felt uncomfortable having touched. They truly listened to us! I had Jessica and her hands were amazing! She gave me the right amount of pressure for what I needed and she had a signature shoulder massage moved that helped my weary shoulders relax after hours and hours of taking photographs. We were given heating pads and eye pillows halfway through. Each woman spoke with the most reassuring and relaxing voice. At the end they made sure we had water. The whole experience was a delight and we went home super happy and fulfilled.

A little pricey - $106 for a 45 minute facial before gratuity - but really not bad for the area. Would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing spa experience!

Fountain is one of the few, if not the only, spa that actually caters to and has a service line for male clientele without all of the fuss or making me feel out of place at a spa. It is the main reason I have consistently returned to Fountain. It is quaint. The staff is friendly but not syrupy and the service is always on time and as requested. It's a great way to spend an afternoon unwinding. I highly recommend to men who might be reluctant to visit a spa but sorely (pun intended) need a neck, shoulders, or foot massage. Worth. Every. It has been over five years since I had a professional massage. After visiting The Fountains in Alexandria, I am asking myself why I waited so long. The experience began with a friendly greeting from Storie who also took some initial information about my general health and preferences. Next, I was introduced to Marcia, a certified massage therapist. She also asked about my comfort preferences and if there were any areas that I wish to avoid or concentrate on. We agreed on a head to toes massage which was wonderful. While working on some tension in my shoulders, the pressure was a little much. Ultimately, it was worth it. By the end of our session, I was completely relaxed. This kind of treatment could become addicting.

What a fabulous place. I was visiting Washington from the U.K. and happened upon this little piece of heaven. Being a fairly experienced Spa visitor I thought I would see how it was compared to British ones. I have to say it was utterly divine. I had one of the best massages I have ever had anywhere in the world and the facial was incredible. My skin was positively glowing when I came out. Fantastic massage today!! Called today and they got me in for a 50-minute deep tissue massage with Sha. I have CHRONIC neck/back/shoulder pain and all I can say is WOW— I feel like a new person!! Spa is comfortable and clean, very pleasant, and relaxing. I mention this sometimes, just in case it helps someone who might otherwise feel intimidated: I’m overweight and I was treated very well by the staff and other clients, was very comfortable on the massage table and felt very cared for and pampered! :)

I scheduled the couples' instructional package on a weekday afternoon. Despite the small and relatively cramped feel to the venue, I was thoroughly pleased with the experience and instruction we received in the massage therapeutic arts. We took turns being instructed and demonstrated said techniques on each other on a body area of our choosing under the watchful guidance and tutelage of one of their professional massage therapist. Makes for a fun and relaxing date off the beaten path.

I have seen Amy at Fountains for deep tissue/combination massage twice and she is amazingly strong and does a great job working out knots in tense muscles. I highly recommend seeing her to address stubborn tension in your back or shoulders--if you like a lot of pressure and sometimes find massage lacking or not deep into the muscle, see Amy!

An Age Changing Facial ! I have recently finished a series of special facials at this little gem of a spa in Old Town Alexandria and have to tell you that the results are fantastic. It is a combination of a Hydradermie and The Lift - you look ten years younger at the end ! I have received so many compliments from my family and friends ! No need to have a face lift if this wonderful treatment is available. The Guinot products are excellent too which help to maintain the results of the facials.
