If you're ever in the Alexandria/Arlington are of Virginia please stop by the Potomac yard shopping center....even with theist of they're grocery stores they still manage to be the "Best of the Best" when it comes to buying almost anything.

I went to Navy Federal Credit Union inside the Potomac Yard Center! They're going through work within the branch but it was still a good experience! The Potomac Yard Center has quute a few businesses and places to grab a bite to eat! There's also a Giant Food going north on the next block! There's also quite a few other businesses surrounding the Center area.

Lots of construction always going on so it can be frustrating at times to get around and park. There are a lot of big name stores though (Target, Best Buy, Staples, Starbucks, etc.) and good easy places to eat (Chipotle, CAVA, Subway, &pizza, etc.)

The Starbucks at Potomac Yard is one of the best around, because they have excellent Customer service, all employees are kind and helpful. Thank you, and please never change. I wish all the other Starbucks around this area, would have the same attitude. Some of their employees are very nasty and if it wasn't because I like Starbucks products, I would walk away. After all I am paying for it.

Great little shopping center. I ran to Home Depot for cement but also use the Pet Store and the Shoppers for groceries. I can also drop by TJMAXX for a little relaxation. Pick up yummy subs, or chicken or a great Moe's salad. Best time running through the McDonald's for my favorite McCafe. Great little shopping center.

This shopping center is always busy. Plenty of available parking it's well lit with lanes clearly marked and fair amount of handicap parking. The roadways are well maintained. The stores are clean and debris free for an open space shopping center.

Went to Target to get some pet food/supplies and a couple odds and ends. It’s not a bad store, it’s actually one of the busiest Targets I’ve been to, but i have noticed every time I’ve visited that stock isn’t properly placed on the shelves. It’s almost like they’re just throwing it to get it out the back and to make the shelves seem full. The staff (that I’ve encountered) are friendly enough, helpful and personable as well. My only complaint is the stock being placed in the wrong spots. I don’t wanna have to scan my whole cart at a scanner before I purchase and I don’t wanna be surprised when I pay because I thought the prices were different than what they wrung up for either! They get a solid 3.8 ⭐️

Under construction in the general area of this shopping center. Plenty of parking and the police are always visible. Little to no foot traffic and pet friendly environment. I recommend this shopping center while traveling on route one.

another home away from home. We practically live in Barnes & Nobles. Home goods always has some new noodle or hot chocolate we need to try and my craft daughter loves her Michaels. And we'll grab summer time shorts at Old Navy. Fairly decent one stop running around for us.

I've gone on the weekends it just so happens to rain. Can't wait to go when the sun is shining and can walk over to Hardtime Cafe and have a beer and a wing. Love the Giant store and also the ABC liquor store again I must have been driving too fast I circled the shopping center twice went into Giant and a patron there pointed it out to me.

Potomac Yard Shopping Center has grown to a lot of shopping places, including restaurants. My sister-in-law and I went to CAVA restaurant to have lunch and went to Total Wine to shop. A very nice shopping area to shop and eat.

Parts of the shopping center are still being remodeled, so the parkingot on the north side is tricky. But great selection of stores including Total Wine, Homegoods, TJ Maxx and Target.

This strip mall has a large variety of stores big and small - once you thoroughly explore the place it actually is quite impressive just how much variety they fit into the relatively small area. They have big staple consumer stores such as Target and Barnes & Noble and otherwise as well as coffee shops, ice cream shops, food shops, a hair cut place, and more. Because of the way it's designed where some shops are on both ends of the strip mall vertically and not just horizontally it actually makes it feel less hectic than everyone parking and just heading in one direction to the stores. Overall it's a well-designed strip mall that has an excellent selection of tenants.

It is not too busy but busy enough. Stopped at Navy Federal. There was a short line outside that moved fairly quickly. The Vitamin shop was open and the associate was friendly. At Target there were a lot of cars but the store was orderly and customers kept their distance. All and all it was a good shopping experience in VA.

We spent window shopping for about 3 hours. Caught a movie and fell asleep in the theater. Saw some great spring deals! Unfortunately some of the sales representatives were not very welcoming or helpful. But overall we had a great time.

A great place for some high end retail shopping. Mostly good people come to this place. The property is maintained very well. You can find just about anything you need in this compact little area without going into a closed mall setting which I personally dislike. Watch a movie, get your hair cut, have lunch, buy a snake or 2, grab some groceries and head home.

The movie theater worked out great for me at my time of visit. Theater number eight (8) was clean. The seating could use a little updating to keep up with the competition. I had an enjoyable experience. The parking lot is free and has many spaces. You can even go shopping or dining afterwards.

Decent strip mall type environment. Okay selection of stores, ample parking but getting out of the parking lot can be a challenge sometimes. Couple of okay restaurants here (NOT Hops, see individual review) if your looking for a quick bite. Plenty of handicap parking disbursed throughout

I really enjoyed the pre grand opening of Total Wines it was a great turnout with a lot of excitement and energy I love its location which is a quarter of a mile from my house and I will be ketting others that the store is officially open.

It houses popular merchants such as Target, Best buy, TJMAX etc. but as many old shopping centers, it is devoid of greenery, shrubs and flowers that would make it a more attractive place. These shopping centers need to be transformed to places not just to shop but also to rest and linger.

Still as busy as ever. New York and Co is going out of business next to the Old Navy but that part of the park lot was still relatively slow. Target is always packed here but I was able to find good spaces just the same.

Great stores and I love the Target & Shoppers Food Warehouse. The new Michael's and Home Goods are good additions to this shopping center. I got bitten by bed bugs at the movie theater once and I haven't been back since then I recently heard from a coworker that the movie theater has rats.

The Shooper Food Warehouse is gone so the big attraction is the Michaels,Home Goods and Barnes & Noble at this end of the mall .Target,Staples & Pets Mart are still here along with a few other food places. The nearby Giant is a good food source.Development of VCU's Tech building behind the mall where the movie theater has been torn down will most likely breath new air into the space formerly the Shoppers. Still my go to mall when I have to make a Target run.Only wish there was a Bed Bath &Beyond here.

There are also several restaurants on the property, from fast casual to ones with table service. Lots of parking. Well lit area. Easy to access from US-1 and I-395.

Nearby neighborhood shopping center. Recently opened up a couple of much needed stores. Pleasant place to shop. Store owners, managers & workers courteous & attentive. Large, free parking area. Handicapped availabilty. Most shops have restrooms available.

They have a pretty nice layout of stores. I always stop at the DD in the morning. I also frequent the Target, Old Navy, and Barnes & Noble. There is plenty of parking and the cinema is separated from the main strip of stores. Just be careful in the parking lot of people walking!

Love this shopping center! Target is great! I've never been to a Target where the check-out is so efficient. You have Shoppers and Giant within a block or so of each other (Giant is right outside the shopping center). Movie theater, restaurants, Starbucks & Dunkin' Donuts, clothes, shoes, furniture, anything you need! Only improvement would be to add a metro stop!

This mall is so new that the trees are small, making the place look derelict, but it is a good mall. Easy access, lots of shops n restaurants, huge movie theater, bus access on Route 1. Long walking park runs behind the mall from near the airport to past Del Ray. With the new townhouses going up and Del Ray's real estate values skyrocketing, this mall is in a prime spot.

Nice little hang out area. Eateries from subway, Starbucks, Barnes and Nobles, movies theater Hops restaurant! During off peak hours perfect! Prime time is a no night mare! Train wreck waiting happen ! Driving is an adventure, “ New Yorker aka Maryland drivers race experience 😮. For quick afternoon meeting up , with various venues it’s a great area! Take patience 😳

I would've rated the area as 5 Stars, but since the New Year, places have been closing either due to poor revenue or because the city has placed a development plan on the area, which calls for most of the current business fronts to close. The area took a huge loss in HOPS brewery and steakhouse, as well as local grocer Shoppers. While Shoppers as a brand had a bad year, last year they had expanded our Shoppers. Until January 2020, I thought Potomac Yard was great. But now its clear the city didn't agree.

Many different stores in this complex, as well as a cinema behind the retail stores. Mostly "big box" shopping like Best Buy, Target, Pet Smart, etc. Unfortunately, all these popular offerings make parking quite a challenge. However, there's an Alexandria DASH bus line that can take you there, too. I haven't tried it yet, but it remains an option.

The usual strip mall! This one is mostly filled (a few vacancies at the north end of the plaza). It is good for necessities shopping (Target) and more niche needs (office supplies and books)

Great location, right off of busy route 1 and minutes from Crystal City. Plenty of shopping to be done here especially for the holidays. Great selection of stores to choose from to include my favorite,Target. My only complaint is exiting the shopping centre during rush hour traffic. The lights take forever and lots of bottle-necking. I've sat still through many green lights without moving due to the bad congestion from Jeff Davis Hwy southbound. I also think they can use more dine-in restaurants as there are only 2 or 3 to choose from.

Great place to shop. Has everything in there. Has a tj Maxx and a home goods.. best buy and target. Only issue I have with it is going south bound on RT one. Not the shopping centers fault at all. It's weird because one end of the shopping center is dying or dead and the other side is popping. Lol

Nice selection of stores: Pier One, Home Goods, Barnes & Noble, TJ Maxx, PetSmart, Target. All of these stores, imho, are the best in the area. Easy free parking. Parking lot is well lit at night. Good movie theatre. Center lacks decent restaurants. Hopefully that will change.

Ample parking albeit could fill up very fast on weekends especially at the section outside Target. Good variety of shops (Shoppers, Target, CVS, TJ Max, Dress Barn; Old Navy; Home Goods; Staples; Petsmart). Most shops allow dogs without crate (but on leash).

I love this place! Potomac Yard is like a strip mall on steroids. There are various portions of the strip mall that serve different shopping needs; from grocery shopping too fast casual dining to fine dining to the movies to check purchases from Best Buy.

I like this place. I hate to shop, but sometimes it is necessary! This complex offers a great variety of middle-of-the-road options for groceries, pet care, general stuff from Target, and the movie complex. There are a number of reasonable price chain store places to eat like Dunkin Donuts, regular sit-down sports bar, a Chipotle, etc. The location is very accessible for drivers, plenty of parking. One thing I especially like about this site is it never seems too crowded. And if you are a runner, as I am, there are lots of flat and fast stretches to practice on with low traffic all around the area.

This place has pretty much anything you’ll need. You have most major stores there and a few banks like navy fed. Food places are pretty good if you like Cava and &Pizza.

I love the theater and Hops restaurant. The Barnes & Nobles comes in handy too. Throw in the target and chipotle. You're set. Great for families and date night. Well recommended.

Parking and a good mix of bigs stores. My favorite aupermarker, Shoppers Food Warehouse, at on end and a Target at the other. BEST buy and Staples between them its a pity Sports Authority left, but Barnes and Nobles is still hanging un there. Great for people in the area, but slated to eventually be transformed.

Everything you need in one area. Clothing, books, groceries, coffee... The perfect place to hang out if you're waiting for your car to be serviced across the way, or just to do a bit of shopping. When I'm bored and avoiding the city, I find myself here.

My daughter said Mom did you ask for help and said no because I looked where they were and they were out. I took her advice and the guy told me they were in another section. It's was just phenomenal. Starbucks, ample parking, no drunk engineer on the ingress egress planning. Nicely lit without being glaring and obnoxious to the point of requiring sunglasses after sunset. Nice security patrol for sense of security and to run off hooligans. Just the right balance of bargain and brands ooh fancy! Im wondering if there's maybe a TJMax hiding somewhere, hmm!?

Typical mid to highend community level strip mall. Plenty of parking. Restaurants, office supplies, Target, a book store and mostly clothing stores as well as a grocery. Free standing restaurants along Jeff Davis Highway. A multiplex cinema at the rear with its own parking. They have lost some stored in the past year so there are some gaps. Clean and well lit. Pretty quick in and out, although Jeff Davis Highway can get congested.

This is a good place to shop. Parking is easy, and there are many good stores: Target, Old Navy, Barnes and Noble, New York and Company, Rack Room, Petsmart and many others. The Banfield Vet inside the Petsmart is wonderful- we have had 3 dogs that we have brought there! There are also at least 6 restaurants in this mall as well. Highly recommend this place.

There is a Regal Cinemas at this location. It's one of the less popular spots to go watch movies in NoVa when new movies come out. The seats weren't that comfortable nor clean. You can make one stop for shopping at Target, Shoppers, Best Buy... and eat food and watch a movie.

Tuesday Movie Special. $5.70 ($6.70). "Get Out" and "Split" were our evening selections. Very clean theater but, the restrooms need an update. The Food was okay but, I need to check into pre-ordering of food. It takes about 10 minutes to get the real food. They serve wine and beer too!

Large theater with lots of showings and "cheap" Tuesdays where tix are between 6-7 bucks all day. Incredibly slow staff at concessions; you'll need to give yourself extra time if you want anything before your movie.

Cause its 24 hours close to the DMV lines ! And you can grab and go ! They have during the day fresh salads sandwiches made to order donuts and cakes ready to be written on last minute ! A great seafood dept and A Caribou coffee shop cheaper than Starbucks ! Donuts fresh everyday ! In and out ! Great place for lunch dinner or snack ! Helpful happy people ! Try it you'll like it !

Great place to eat, shop, and go to the movies. Several big box or anchor stores to choice from, i.e., Target, TJ Maxx, Best Buy to name a few. During the holiday season nearby parking can be a challenge. There are warnings flashing to lock your cars and to cover your packages to prevent break ins. So anything is possible in the best areas.

Great theater, if you are in the northern VA area and looking for a Regal theater in the area the Potomac Yards theater may be the spot for you. You can grab a bite to eat at a near by restaurant, there is plenty of parking and they even have adult beverages and a few snacks a little heavier then your typical popcorn and nachos. The only downside is that the seats are out dated compared to other theaters. Once they update the seats to the comfy leather chairs that recline this theater will be a winner.

From Target to Best buy. Old Navy to shoppers & pizza to cava. Michael's to regal Potomac movie theater. there's a wide assortment of activities and things to do in this shopping center. They have pet grooming a pet hospital, shoes clothes and crafts stores. and a handful of places to eat that include IHOP Chipotle five guys to name a few. the buildings are getting pretty outdated in an update is definitely needed but besides that you can definitely knock out a couple of things from your checklist in this one spot.
