The Painted Tree was a very nice place to visit at the HillTop Shops. It's a gigantic warehouse with over a hundred miniature stores or boutiques inside. The mini boutiques are all privately owned and named by the owner. Some are specialized with things like jewelry or socks , while others may have an assortment of things that would fit their theme. None of the booths are manned by the owner like a thrift store, you just take your purchase to a center register upon check out. The place has so many unique things to look at or purchase, make sure you wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Be prepared too spend some time.

I visit this shopping center usually for Aldo's restaurants. Great food at Aldo's, and its one of my favorite restaurants in Virginia Beach. Excellent parking and always a clean, safe environment (located on Laskin Rd in Va Beach) at The Shops at Hilltop. This shopping center is more of an upscale outdoor shopping mall, and for "higher end" shoppers. The parking lot is always kept clean and they actually have a maintenance staff that is hired only to keep the shopping center "up to date" and everything looking good. Nice environment "strip/outdoor mall" but they just do not have the brand name stores that I usually shop at.

The Customer Service by the rep at GNC was exceptional. He was very informative and made me feel confident in the best options for me & my purchases. The store was really organized and clean as well. This GNC location and the one on Military hwy were very helpful in their Customer service.

When we went in they didn't have any tables available on a Tuesday evening which was odd but I suppose this place is very popular. We were able to sit at the bar. The young lady serving us was great! She was forgetful but it's very understandable when doing multiple things in a restaurant full of customers. The food was great I thought the creamed spinach was too liquefied but it was great! Steak was great, baked potato great, mac n cheese great.

Lots of stores. We only went to the Painted Bucket. We only went to half the store in an hour so need another trip. It has items from many local items so was quite interesting.

This is a really nice shopping area. There are a ton of different shops to walk around and check out. My husband and I especially wanted to Forbes Candies as their Taffy is my favorite. I had a wonderful experience the lady was amazing at helping us out. There's a lot of different parking areas here. I would definitely recommend coming here the shop for the day. My husband I had a great time checking out the various stores walking around for a bit

The staff is overall pretty good! The positive energy flows well. I'm not a fan of many of the menu choices but the ones I like are very good. Nothing wrong with the other items. Just not my preference. Prices are in line with other similar type deli gourmet sandwich shops. Not cheap but good.

There are a few good shops in Hilltop East & West + some convenient ones... great hip barbershop in there, as well as a true butchershop, Fresh Foods, Bakers Crust, a dedicated bird feeder/lover shop, etc.

Hilltop is a nice area to shop and eat. Usually clean, feels safe, plenty of parking, nice selection of businesses. However, every place I've been in there is overpriced. It's winter and the tourist aren't here yet...why the summer vaca prices? It is a nice place to visit but I'm glad there are other options.

I love love love love this shopping center. It's large and has a ton of wonderful stores from local vendors and owners. It's easy to get to, has plenty of parking, and is HUGE. You can spend an entire day here shopping, walking around, and eating. You can go to Hallmark, the bike store, furniture shopping, have Starbucks, Gerald's ice cream, dinner at Baker's Crust, lunch at Fruitive, stop by PlantBar, buy some gifts, jewelry at Finks, etc. etc. I could keep going. Ethan Allen's new smaller store is in this shop. As well as a Fresh Market (always a fav).

I always enjoy the shopping center. It's clean, there's plenty of parking, and a nice variety of stores. Some of them are a little on the high price end. There's a great section full of independent hair stylists that's worth checking out. And for a refreshing drink give Fruitive a try

Went to dinner at El Taco Poco for dinner. Our dinner overall was delicious. Guacamole was not really my taste but we had the fajitas for 2 for dinner an it was amazing. For dessert we had the fried ice cream. Nice serving size for two. Will Definetly come again.

Very nice shopping complex lots of very nice stores some upper-class stores antique stores dress stores places to eat restaurants ABC Stores hardware stores a very good variety of stores in this location area definitely want to make sure you have a little extra money when you shop here cuz it is a little more to the expensive side. Stores and parking lots are always clean and well-lit lots of trees for shade good place to get all your shopping done when you got a few extra dollars

Went to Pinboys at the beach! I love that bowling alley. Been going there for 20 years and the Staff is wonderful. The owners of the place work there and most of the other staff members have been there for years; So have the league players!! Clean and great fun!!

Clean area! Try salad works when you visit for lunch! They have an ABC store, grocery store, nails, shopping and more honestly everything you’d quickly need. I visit this shopping center often!

We went to NO FRILL GRILL for sluncher ( lunch supper meal). The wait staff were friendly and paid attenrion to their patrons. The food was tasty, and cooked like requested. ( cheeseburger medium rare). Tea glasses never went empty. Did I mention they were busy, tables were full with people waiting

There are several shops too choose from, most are upscale boutique type shops. We are there twice a week to take grand daughter to physical therapy and we enjoy walking along and looking in the shops while we wait.

We went to The Butcher's Son, one of new favorite places to eat. Started with yummy garlic bread with butter. We enjoyed a flatbread appetizer, a steak dinner melts in your mouth, grilled chicken wrapped bites with broccoli and carrots, with pasta and a lemon sauce, and lastly banana pudding. Mouthwatering!

Once you get there, it's great. So many great shops and restaurants to enjoy.Traffic is always crazy at Hilltop and nerve-wracking service roads make it worse. But again, once you're in the shopping center you're good to park and walk.

I love this place. It's been around forever but has pretty much kept ist's relevance. Lots of shops with a big variety, probably because there are no mega brand stores that destroy the local competition. You can find those around the HIlltop area, like Target, Walmart, but this complex has an exceptionally nice mix of local as well as nationally know places. There is also tons of parking, all of it very easy to navigate unlike other malls, complexes, areas, the parking is free, and lots of handicap accessible spots that will never be all filled at the same moment in time. It's also easy to get to from First Colonial or Laskin roads although sometimes the traffic can be quite bad on these two roads during rush hour. Due to to the other mega major stores in the general vicinity and the great selection of places in this complex, I always enjoy and look forward to shopping there. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Its too far. Just go somewhere else. But if you find yourself there, and play disc golf, be careful of the baskets by the water. And if anyone has found a white colored Roc in the bushes by the 3rd basket its mine. I miss that disk :(

This is my neighborhood shopping center from THE FRESH MARKET to RITE AID and everything in between my only negative is the "security guards" seem to be more concerned with their phones/devices than "security". Then again the same goes for TSA at Norfolk international airport.
