Reviews of Chesterfield Mall
Media Evolution EVOLVED
This mall is hurting badly. A lot of empty spaces and not much to choose from. Plenty of parking and the way to enter is by the Cheesecake Factory! Great place to walk around for mall walkers and the Macy’s is three level and a beautiful store so that’s a plus. Chesterfield Mall though does have a awesome AMC theater. Let’s bring more businesses to Chesterfield Mall and make this place GREAT AND FUN again.
GRM Adventures
The mall is rough. There’s no place inside that’s worth shopping in tbh. Besides Macy’s, V Stock, and others that you can access outside, I can understand why this mall may close.
Devin Blackwood
Sad to see this place declining. It’s still a nice mall, but it’s nearly entirely empty. Huge props to the custodial staff for keeping it so clean!
Monica K
Few traditional stores, but many alternative store fronts and small businesses. Worth a walk around if you need something to do. Some wings of the mall are sealed off. The main entrance is between the cheesecake factory and v-stock.
Jason N
Not as crowded, makes shopping a lot easier, especially with my kids with me. Still has a lot of great shops and kids activites like the train, Carousel, and the play area.
Joseph Higgs
Lovely, well maintained facility; however, I just was senior citizen reading a newspaper alone in an empty food court. I'm just making a mental connection.
Scott Alexander
Empty went there to get covid shot. Bring your badminton equipment as that have free courts.
Krish J
Most of the places are shutdown.... But it's a good place to fun around and watch the movie.
Edward C. Donnelly Jr.
It’s potential for mixed-use housing; otherwise it’s barely open.
Austin Archer

I went there to try the country line dances. Then I was going to walk the mall.
They have the area blocked off so not as much walking "area". They have batten mitten down stairs which was kind of neat.
Mandi Garcia
Check out Earth Surf Skate Park and store great spot!
Hillbilly Kitchen Witch
Amazing service!! Great food. Fun environment!
Scott Branam Sr.
It's sad to see such an iconic place like the Chesterfield Mall being deserted and almost totally empty.
I miss the malls at Christmas time and the elaborate decorations they would display each year.
The mall itself looks amazing other than the emptiness.
I know the days of mall shopping are gone by the way side but this younger generation has no idea what they're missing out on. 😔
Ryan Lovins
Can you say apocalypse type scary. Place is still clean on the inside. Outside areas are over grown and trashy. They could have filmed Walking dead here. It's that bad. Wish this mall wouldn't have gone down hill. Skate shop and skate park were cool. Cheesecake factory seems to still be doing good.
Block Donk
The stores are more diverse here than the mall I go to. Although when you go around the AMC (AMC is great) the stores are vacant. Don't go to The cheesecake factory for anything other than desserts for a while (they had a fire in their kitchen so the food tastes kind of charred)
Shop, watch, and eat

Sadly, the mall is nearly empty. It's a great place just for walking around, and they have a movie theater, Macy's, Cheesecake Factory, and a really cool arcade place I've been to a couple times. If that storm didn't come through a couple years back this mall would still be lively, but when Dillard's and many others closed their doors because of the incident, the mall simply faded away. Now not many people go here, which is really sad, since it's an awesome mall.
Marie Annette
Not many stores left but still enough to enjoy! Went to Cheese cake factory, Fantastic!! Next time we will gonfor dinner, dying to try the shrimp pasta.
Tony Holt
The are pretty dead now. They do have arch badmitten in the main lobby.
Roderick Nash
One of the last if the big malls in the STL. Sad, these use to be such a social place were you could meet friends hangout and shop. Now like every other mall, it's dying out because people don't socialize anymore, sad.
Melissa Fox
I always go during the day so it's not so crowded. If you go after 4pm it is hard to find a parking spot. Many people park in the handicapped spots that have no legal right to do this. The mall has really went downhill and most of the big stores are starting to close down. Example Sears. The food court used to have a good variety of places to eat but now the places serve about the same type of food and the cost is ridiculously high with the exception of Red Robin(which is fantastic). The mall stores are not well organized. Some are too big and some are too small for the merchants needs. Makes no sense. I go there mainly to Hot Topic,Torrid, and Spencer's. There really is not a good variety of stores there anymore. Many are way overpriced and do not have what I am looking for. I have been shopping here since the day it opened and quite frankly I will avoid going here due to the shady activities I have seen inside and outside of the mall. It's a shame that the customer service desk is in a whole other building and not inside the mall anymore. 😢
Nathan Bush
Vintage Stock was excellent…the Macy’s is nice for what it’s worth. Boo hiss to the Sears corridor being blocked off. I wanted to explore!
Katie Hergenrother
good mall but sadly lots of stores have closed over the years. sort of a ghost town at times. The movie theater and cheesecake factory are the only things really thriving. But it’s a clean mall.
Doug Forbis
Bit of an odd mall but what isn't in the age of a global pandemic? Had several pokestops for pokemon go that let me get my quests done during Go Fest! It's also conveniently located near a ton of hotels. Was a mall not a soccer store when I went.
Robert Kliethermes
Not much could be said about the small except for it is a Dying Breed, most of the shop doors are closed and empty. The only reason I ever go to this mall is for the Cheesecake Factory and the movie theater. Other than those two things I have no other reason to visit this mall.
Debbie Brandenburg
Sad to see another mall "biting the dust". 😢 I remember this place a bustling with customers. We went this time to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. Still a wonderful restaurant to meet up with family and friends. The menu will take you 5-10 minutes to read thru... But everything is delicious. …
WozniakMac
We went to the American Girl Store was great! My daughter loved it. The mall itself was clean and there were plenty of stores to shop while there. Don't plan on eating here unless you have to. Not a lot of choices.
Dina Marie H
I really like this mall. It has one of the few Cheesecake Factories in the area. There is ample parking. There is also a very nice family restroom with private nursing areas and very nice diaper changing stations. There are also things to entertain kids which make this a great place to shop.
Justin Wooten
I enjoyed what I went there for which was Vintage Stock, St Louis Sports Cox and The Cheese Cake Factory. Mall is extremely empty other than some Art Galleries and Macy's. Foot Locker was closing yesterday which was 1/19/19.
Aaron
Used to go to this mall all the time back in the day, Sad to see it so empty now. V-Stock is still a great place to go to and Cheesecake factory is busy as ever, Theres still a couple of stores left for the time being. Otherwise nice place to go see a movie, walk around, Just not alot of stores to shop at
Happy Cat
If you want to go somewhere during this pandemic and feel safe, Chesterfield mall would be the place to go, as you will feel like the last shopper on earth. Even at busy times, the place is a ghost town, and you can shop in peace, too bad there isn't much here anymore, it used to be the best mall in the area.
Droid. S.
It's a nice mall, we pay visited about 4 years ago and it seemed a lot less busy this time. We arrived about 6:30 pm on Friday, it was not very crowded. Lots of stores closed. Looks like another abandon mall in the works. Kids had fun at the play area, nice vintage stock. Panda Express was awesome, all the people were friendly. Would go back again.
Dennis Hood
We went to the movies and picked up music and gaming gear at V-Stock. For our purposes its good that V-Stock has a separate outside entrance as we dont really need to go in to the rest of the mall ourselves. Going to a late movie is sort of cool as the rest of the mall is a ghost town at this time and getting up to the theater is part of the experience. With so many store fronts empty there is plenty of parking for what is left.
Maddie O’Hara
Great mall, but many stores have recently shut down, and business has really been low lately. Overall, great employment, as well as great food. They also have a 2 floor V-stock, equipped with free movies playing and free playable video games. They have one of the few cheescake factories in the area and a nice AMC theatre. Highly recommend for people looking to shop without many crowds.
Chantal Hite
This is a really nice mall. I would give it a much higher rating because I really like it, unfortunately a large majority of the stores have closed and there are a lot of empty stores. I like this mall so much better than the outlet malls and it has a Ferris wheel for the kids to ride.
Paranormal Google Reviews (Paranormal Google Reviews)
This mall used to be a go to place for all kinds of people years ago. Now the mall is a shell of its former self and there is little to no reason to visit anymore. You have three malls down the interstate that are full and are doing great and will be better for your overall shopping needs. Sad but this place used to be a go to place.
Ryan Gettinger
The mall is slowly declining. Its saving graces are the food court and the AMC Theater upstairs. The two large outdoor malls down the highway are pulling a lot of businesses from this mall. That being said it is still kept clean and the staff are generally very friendly.
Doug Vondera
I love this mall, I really do....somebody please put stores in there and please support them. This is too cool and conveniently located of a mall to let go down the tubes. Yeah, I but stuff from Amazon too....but really, there is potential here...it doesn't need to be this way!!! FYI, the Theater is better than the Galaxy...but I like AMC better.
Joshua Jones
This is one of my favorite malls here in St Louis. It's for a lot of the stores I'm looking for when I'm heading out to the mall. It's got a far calmer atmosphere than the west county mall or the galleria and is usually far less crowded as well. As a trade off there is a smaller selection of stores and a smaller food court. There's an AMC theater in here but I rarely go to it because it's a bit pricier, though it is nice, so I prefer the galaxy theater if I'm trying to catch a movie.
Sean Grider
It's slowly dying... Empty store spaces, only the elderly still go here cuz they can't break 50 years of habits. That being said, it's really clean and the bathrooms are immaculate. Oh, the three places that do a lot of business there are great
Ken McWatters
Nice mall, good variety of stores. Two story throughout and a huge food court. Great for kids, they have a nice play area and a carousel. And they have a theater! I miss mall theaters, they used to be a great attraction but now very few have them.
Christopher Hatch
It's a fantastic place for a zombie apocalypse movie. All the stores are closed iland cleared out inside, other than corner ones. Highly recommend for high school or college film class.
Matt Martin
The Cheesecake Factory was great and I would definitely check out V-Stock for all your electronic/video game/movie needs. Other than that though, this mall has mostly closed up shops outside of the main big ones like Macy's and Sears.
Katie Kelly
I love Chesterfield Mall. So many childhood memories. I especially love visiting this mall around Christmas. It's sad that some of the stores have chosen to leave, but understandable with the Valley being so close. Great food court and double carousel. Also a fantastic train that the kids can ride around a quarter of the mall.
Cut3ygurl
Use to be a hopping place to visit. It had many stores to visit or just simply window shop. Lately nothing is there it's like ghost town. Now ppl just walk around for added exercise. I normally go there for the AMC theater there. It's very relaxed and quiet and they have $5 matinees no matter what any day u choose.
Jacob Rodgers
Stores are shutting down like crazy because of the new outlet malls that have popped up (and online shopping, I'm sure).
Thus, the 4 🌟's I gave it all go exclusively to The Cheesecake Factory, which is located within the mall. Now, in reality, the restaurant deserves 5 stars... But I didn't want to missrepresent my review of the mall.
April Brown
We visited here because my daughter had my grandson's birthday party at the place called The Neutral Zone they have all kinds of arcade games in there we had fun she had about 2 hours of free play, that's a lot of free play..... Kids and adults all had fun....
Taylor Schneider
Love this mall. It's super open so you're not constantly bumping into other people.
This was my first time here and I needed a map of the mall to know where to go. I could not find one ANYWHERE. It would help people who haven't been there before! Also, how does a mall this big not have an Old Navy?
Angyl Bazan
This mall had everything that we wanted and it was conveniently located right across the street from our hotel. We're from Arizona and it was awesome to have a mall so close! The cheesecake factory inside was so so good and we ate there about 3 times during our stay
Jeffrey Lerner
A beautiful mall at one time but now is slowly deteriorating and not many businesses. They play badminton inside and pickleball. Lot of people just use it the walk around
Pascha Allen
Only went to the movie theater, not into the mall. This Marcus theater is clean and well kept but has uncomfortable seats. The movie and popcorn wete great but a little more expensive than other surrounding theaters with reclining seats.
Sarah Bouachir
Sad to see this great, underrated mall is closing it's shops. There's still some life in it though so shop there while you can! Movie theater is still open, so is Cheesecake Factory, VTech and others.
Elanor Stevens
Many of the stores at this mall are closed, especially since Christmas 2016. There is still a food court with some good options and a few stores like Sephora, Francesca's, and Macy's that are fairly popular. There is also an American Girl Doll Store and a Cheesecake Factory that are often busy. The highlights this place are the indoor carousel, the indoor train, and the great toddler play space. It's the perfect spot to spend a rainy day with little kids.
Greg Floyd
A great family friendly mall. This mall includes a carousel, mini train ride and animal scooters for the kids, as well as your typical mall store selection. With almost no vacant store fronts this is one St Louis mall not in its death throes.
Christian Drummond
Its always been a fun mall to visit over the past years but it's beginning to slowly die. I walked in yesterday and I was suprised to see four of the main stores in the middle of the mall closed and almost no people anywhere except for in the food court, mainly teenagers hanging out, and it was Friday night. As I walked around I saw about 10-15 empty store areas, which is a lot for this smaller mall. Dillards suffered a water main break in store and has been closed for almost 5 months and it's hard to see them coming back from it. That would mean one less anchor store leaving only Macy's and Sears, giving people another reason not to visit this mall. It's truly a shame
Katharine Ho
I'm upset I don't have a mall and I live in the suburbs.
Todd Ruble
Beautiful exterior. I can imagine is was the place to be in its heyday. Unfortunately, malls are long dying relics of a bygone era of the last century. A time when your favorite mall was your social media is gone. Although I had never been to this particular mall, it was truly a walk down memory lane and reminiscing about the malls I "grew up" going to as a teenage mallrat.
Tom Whall
We went after Christmas & I was surprised at just how few stores they have open!
They have Macy's & many restaurants around the outside drive. We ate at Charlie's Cheese Steaks which was good then went to the Book/Records/Dvds/Games place & it stank horribly, a worker said a pipe had burst a few days before, it smelled like raw sewage at that end, fortunately we were leaving so we didn't have to tolerate it long
Was surprising that even the kiosk type placed weren't there much anymore.
Had a trampolining/harness thing & train for kids but seems Malls are dying out too!!
Shona Phillips
It's a great space, hopefully it will be revived. As it is, AMC Cinema, Cheesecake Factory, V-Stock, Macy's, a truly cool arcade called Neutral Zone and some galleries are all still there and worth visiting
Zee Matt
Good shopping and a chiropractor is located there. A lot of stores have closed, but the ones that are there are proving they can hold out for the long haul. Several stores had amazing pricing and deals available to customers. I hate to see it go away like this. The food court is not the same either. The big stores that are there will serve you well if you are a true shopper.
Xei Del
The Chesterfiled mall is a good mall. They have ton of stores for all different needs, from video games to clothes to make up to glasses, etc. I would recommend going if you live close to it, but it isn’t that special or different from other malls.
Aaron brummell (Kraven!)
Very nice Mall super clean Super safe every store you can think of. Plus a few unfamiliar ones. Typical Mall prices. food court still has a wide variety of food. Movie theater is nice also
Wayne Reynolds
It is a shambling hulk that is trying to keep moving to delay the inevitable death. The food court is almost completely empty. They do have a very good used book, game and music store though.
Aurora Shields
This place is one of the spookiest places I've ever been. Almost 50% of the storefronts are empty and locked up, and the ones that are open have one, maybe two people in them at the most. You can always hear the cheerful carnival music from the double-decker carousel but I'm not sure I ever saw a child actually riding it.
But, hey, there's a Sephora in it so I got what I needed.
Josh Routh
People claim that malls are dying, Chesterfield mall is a great space that has lots for families to do. They have a carousel, tons of great shops, balloon twisters on the weekend evenings, a movie theater and more! It's a great destination for fun when you want to beat the St. Louis heat and cold. Plus it never rains out!
Carol Baker
Went there for my Covid--19 vaccine
Haven't been there forever. I didn't
Know it was still open! Really nice
and clean inside, with a few stores
open.
Le Protagonist
The mall has two things that keeps it's business running steady. First, the AMC Theater. The Theater contains nice seating, and food. It also has Bollywodd movies for those who enjoy them. Second, the Cheesecake Factory. The employees are great, but the mall needs more shops. The place is abondoned besides those two places and the food court.
Zdeněk Horčička
It is large and well equipped place. But currently it's like a house of ghosts. Half of stores closed or even not occupied. Otherwise, it would be a nice full range of services shopping mall. .... But pity, it's not currently 😒 …
Curt S
It's very sad to see how empty the mall is now... Macy's is still open along with the theatre and Cheesecake Factory and a few others... But it's nowhere near what it was 10 yrs ago.
LAWRENCE GAYDOS
Went to AMC theater. Mall is wanting for retailers. Sad to see one of the areas greatest malls in need of business.
Crankestein Loskon
Outdated mall, AC barely works, feels like 80 degrees.
Very generic, restrooms are a disaster, nasty, broken doors from toilet bathroom. Funky smell all over the mall, many stores dont care to open on Sundays.
Have done my fair share of malls, wow and this is at the bottom, South America feel, not been racist, but is way outdated, old decorations, depressing to say the least.
Michael Sessi
Saturday night Disco dance was wonderful
Shawn Schmidt
I love this mall but it's on a steep decline. Unless it finds a buyer I worry about its future. I love vstock and the neutral zone. Cheesecake Factory is nice but otherwise there is not much here.
Doomie Grunt
This mall is starting to die out. There are a handful of stores worth your time along with Macy's and the movie theater, but its a far cry from what it might've been today. Hoping the new owners can make something work.
mason anderson
Very good mall yes it might be going down it was the first mall I went to when I moved to saint louis since then the Dillard’s and other stores have shut down but still great memories and great place to go it’s clean and clear and staff is always friendly
Richard Werkmeister
Went to the movies and was fine but Mall is mostly empty. Kind of sad to remember when it was bustling. A couple of places to eat and small business store fronts are all that is left.
Nathan Weaver
Nice mall. Diverse shopping options, dinning nearby and inside, great movie theatre on top floor. I'm a Vintage Stock junkie and they have a good one; two stories and plenty of variety.
Buster Day
So sad! Most stores r closed. Santa was there and the line was long! Great Santa!!! Although wasn't impressed with his chair lol. Went to the movies and u can tell they aren't keeping things up there either. Just sad!!!
Liz K.
I love this mall. It's a great location and a selection of small stores. The people are nice here and it is laid back. I love the theater and the food court. I hope it stays in business!
Tammy Cole
Great server,, Chris (male). Excellent food, but no dessert as b-day cake at home. We love Cheesecake Factory, so many choices.
kryptonite166
It's a shame the mall is on a decline of stores. Its a modern sign of reteail. Merchants, please focus on customer care over prices. I will always pay more to feel appreciated as a customer.
Tim Rubbelke
Honestly, I want to like chesterfield mall, it's less crowded than West County, but it has so little going for it now. The Dillard's is closed after a pipe burst flooded it. They claim it'll reopen but I'm skeptical. Another anchor is a Sears, which at this point is more depressing than useful. And several of the larger chain stores you'd expect in a mall are closing. To make matters worse a part of the mall smelled like sewage last time I was there.
It's in receivership now due to foreclosure, we'll see what happens.
Mer Fitz
My friend & I went to mostly mallwalk for exercise / also do a bit of Christmas shopping (on Monday 12/03/2018) from about 4:30-6PM. There were some other mallwalkers, but few shoppers. [In stark contrast, I mallwalked at West County the next night and could hardly find parking!]
Positives: The mall was clean and despite the lack of ready customers, the salespeople we encountered were all friendly and not aggressive (the best for this was Francesca's!).
For exercise purposes, this is a FANTASTIC place to go! Few other people to get in your way. Great for a free spot to walk indoors!
Negatives: The place was likely lit to it's regular standards, but that fails to account for the numerous vacant storefronts whose own lights are no longer contributing to the nearby walkways. It felt a bit gloomy, but certainly not dangerously so, just made you more aware of the general emptiness.
(For my complete review: check Yelp!)
Ethan Evans
Went to go for a walk and check out the shops realized that they have lost alot of shops and only one restaurant there Charlie's Cheesesteaks. The cheesecake factory is still there thou and I still enjoyed my time just sad to see it so run down.
JCreazy
I love malls and this is my favorite one to go to in the St. Louis area. It has a little bit of everything. Good variety of stores and a good variety in the food court. Also there is a nice AMC theater inside.
Dan Cooper
It's air conditioned and not crowded. Was nice to relive some memories, here, even though everything was gone. I guess they will tear it down at some point, just like everything from my youth (sniff).
Jesica Helgren
The fries were fantastic and burgers were great too. Love that each burger is made fresh while you wait. The potatoes are cut each day for fries - great place to eat!
Kashi Kagë
This is my second favorite mall, right behind West County. Sometimes I struggle with that opinion because Chesterfield has one store that West County doesn't, that I absolutely love. So, getting down to it, Chesterfield has plenty of space to walk around and plenty of stores to choose from. It's a really nice mall, and there are some really friendly people that come here, alot of the guest services in the mall is great, I believe this place has it's own movie theater, if I'm not mistaken. I don't think I have any complaints about this mall, not yet, anyway. Oh, yeah, and that store that they have that West County doesn't.... V - Stock, home of the geeks, gamers, and bookworms.
Special K
Super empty since the outlet malls in Chesterfield opened. But, you can find good deals cuz of that. Dillards has been closed for about 3 years now and won't be returning.
Lloyd Wintjen
It looks as though this mall is the next one to close up and waste away. The big department stores have started leaving and the mall seems to be empty most of the time....with the exception of the restaurants attached to its perimeter. I hope someone can revitalize this place.
ryan gray
Feels like you're Urban exploring! places empty :(... Sad to see these places fail. Feel sorry for my kids. They will not know the fun of malls and food courts
Jon Grothoff
Hmmm, it's a mall that is slowly becoming more useless every day. It's nice and has a lot of things but there are better places to go and shop with cheaper prices. My wife and I go here mostly for the movie theater and Cheesecake Factory.
Ginger Routh
This is a big beautiful mall with so many amenities. There are many empty stores right now unfortunately. Hopefully someone will buy the property and give it a new life.
Dan Burkemper
Want to see an economy in transition? This is the place! Once a crown jewel and center of suburban consumption, it is now quickly becoming, quite literally, a shell of its former self. See it for yourself before it's dozed and turned into a mixed use development.
Vince Mahtani
I grew up going to this mall as a small toddler. My first date with my wife was here. Our kids grew up going to this mall when they were babies. It's sad to see how empty the mall is and the declining state that it is in. The past Christmas season was really bad st the mall. The Christmas decorations were only put up half way (they used to have a great Christmas atmosphere) and I'd venture to say close to half the stores have closed and left. I hope a company buys this mall and flips it. Chesterfield Mall can still be a thriving place!
Jennifer Sittler
You need to check out My Room Rocks on the first floor by the carousal. The cutest store with a lot of unique gifts and they host interior design birthday parties. Girls love this place!
Chris Young
Less is more...Need to concentrate on a half dozen items per category...Just because you put a slice of banana on a slice of cheesecake doesn't make it Banana Cheesecake...
Karen Lommler
We had lunch at the Cheese cake factory. I usually get an appetizer if I plan on having dessert. The servings are large. My cheesecake was delicious.
Jim K
There's not much to it these days. The V-Stock is nice and there are some friendly people there. Cheesecake Factory still packs 'em in. Always plenty of parking I guess
Jamie Ford
Love shopping and mall right around 4ge corner
Angela Bliss
Retail Mall with extremely limited stores. Anchor Macy's still open. Interestingly, the vacant spaces are used by independents. Such as art galleries, a local museum and creative spaces.
Paula Lynch
I Love Macys and I hope they never get rid of Macys!
I hope they keep the cinema and I am so sad that the mall is closing up I love the cheesecake factory that gets an A+ rating
Mark Edwards
The Former destination shopping mall for once county is a shell of its former self. Not that it's falling apart or anything, but it's got a huge amount of vacant stores and not a lot of business in the ones that are left. Like many other malls, this one is suffering from the change in shopping habits that is sending someone he people to strip centers instead.
It's not that this is a bad mall, it's not. It has still a decent selection of stores, some great restaurants including the cheesecake factory and California pizza kitchen, and a really nice theater with something like 14 screens and IMAX. It also has a Sears store that is usually so empty that you could roll a bowling ball through any of the aisles as well as a Macy's and Dillards.
It's pretty much everything a mall should be, but a retail concept that is past its prime. Other then on a Friday night or weekend, the good thing about all that is there's never a crowd there. Other times, you have to dodge the teenagers.
Donna Schneider
Sad empty mall.Mom got second covid shot. Jim, me and Austin went to a movie and ate at cheesecake factory, great family night out.
Chetan Kumar B.L.
It was an amazing mall with Macy's, SEARS and so many other big brands out there. Sad to know that, it is getting closed this year. Hope it is back to its glory days with the new owners.
Scott Graham
Still good places here along with great memories. V-Stock always has good stuff, Macy's and Cheesecake Factory are great too!

This is a mall in Decline. Many strange stories you have never heard of however there are some well known places to dine such as the Cheesecake Factory. There is also a very nice movie theater.
Jas The Hyena
One of my favorite malls still, really fun to hang out in with friends and it isn't dying yet. However it can be pretty confusing to navigate the confusing layout and lack of proper directory placing.
Frances Lewis
I enjoy Chesterfield Mall most in the spring/summer months when they have parking lot carnivals and out door eating at Cheesecake Factory. I know it doesn't sound like much but these things are what makes good use of such a huge space lacking upscale shopping.
If you want high-end shops try West County Mall, Galleria or Plaza Frontenac. If you want some decent food out the way of super crowds and kids damn-near knocking you over as you window shop, a good movie theater and H&M kids wear....try Chesterfield Mall.
Jeffrey Keffer
I dont know how its still open but the bottom floor is pickle ball and badmitton courts which is amazing
Andrew Fletcher
A washed-up place. Aside from Macy's, there really isn't much left here. The online shopping experience has killed this mall, and the carnage can be seen from the moment you walk into the mall. It's sad.
Your Mom
This mall is not closed! There are businesses in here. Come see! Besides the Cheesecake Factory (yum) and the AMC theatre, there’s a retro arcade, Knockerball Smash, Slackers, a soccer shop, Sephora, Sears, Macy’s, and several more. There’s a big carousel in center court and a train for the kiddos too. Don’t blame the mall for this place with empty stores, blame the city of Chesterfield which allowed TWO “outlet malls” to build with 2-5 miles of the mall and duplicate many of the stores while there was already a huge strip mall (Chesterfield Commons) in the valley. Chesterfield mall is still very well maintained and many smaller local businesses have moved in. Support them, especially if this is in your own backyard.
Greg Sandifer
Sadly hardly anything left at this mall, charlys restaraunt, V stock, Macy's, Francescas, AMC theatre, cheesecake factory and that is all, the building is in good shape and large but a sign of the times, very empty.
Cindy La
This mall is dying. If you want cheesecake factory or cheeburger cheeburger or American girl dolls, great! Otherwise the movie theatre and earthbound are the only things worth going to in here.
Scott Ashby
Chesterfield Mall is okay. It's a bit of a drive if you don't live in Chesterfield, and it's never anything I'd call "bustling". It's usually pretty empty anytime I go, and there are quite a few empty spaces.
Mike Chambers
Sad to see the current state of this mall. Back in the 80's and 90's, it was absolutely packed, and was THE place to go in Chesterfield. Stores, restaurants, video game arcades. Everything! It's pretty barren now. I hope somebody revives it.
Amy K
This mall is spacious and kept up but unfortunately alot of stores have moved out. More than half of the shops are empty.
Kari Ferguson
Looks like stores are closing but they still have a good Selection. No heavy traffic in the mall. Carousel and train ride for the kids.
Anne Droid
PLEASE go here to see Santa.
Tonight we went to shop around, True there isn't much, But Santa is here and for the 1 1/2 - 2 hours we were here NO ONE came to see Santa. He was Sad Santa. He sat there and waited to not let the kids down but they are all somewhere else he even has a real beard. We stopped by and said hi.
Bhanu Sowmya
They have cheese cake factory and an AMC theatre!! Theatre is good with decent crowd and you should definitely try popcorn with butter. Reasonable shopping options as well.
Andrea M
Very nice spacious mall, i am Sad to see many stores have closed but macys is fantastic
Susan Olson
I hope the mall does not close. Love the location, love the amc movie theater, Cheesecake Factory, love all of the stores. (The ones that are left). Sad to see it so empty!!
Ben Thornton
This mall is half empty now so I logically should rate it three stars, but I like the types of entertainment shops that have set up in the mall now. There is an old time arkade where you can pay $20 to play all day. They have some really cool vintage games. The mall has Vstock which I've actually bought a couple things at. If you like a Slackers type store then you'll like Vstock. Last but not least they have an indoor RC race track called Pro Level Rc. I really like this place. I am very tempted to buy an rc car there.
Brent Deal
This mall has a lot of popular stores in it. Rated as a 4 due to the building being run down. Part of the ceiling was noticeably peeling and employees say it leaks often. Also escalator broken in some area.
Snehal Uchil
The mall may close in a few months... H&M already closed. Good place to watch Indian movies. Has good connectivity with public transport
Casper & Easy Money
Ummm thete is no mall anymore. But these are the biggest empty macys and dlards ive ever seen. Malls are a thing of my childhood and unfortunately the past...😵 …
Cam Groves
Good mall has the big stores u need ike Macy's but empty which is good becuase I hate clutter..so good mall just wish there were more stores to choose from...v stock is my favorite store tho
Marie Browne
Mall seems like it's really slow. Dillards has been closed there for months did to some kind of damage. The food courts lacking. We goto West County and galleria.
Larry
Review was for Drury Plaza Hotel which is an excellent place to stay. Staff is pleasant and very helpful. Good location. Chesterfield mall is closed.
Henry Chin
Very nice and clean. There is a 2 story marry go round.
Sad that this mall is slowly dying. Several stores are no longer present.
lisa smith
I went to the theater and it was great. So sad that the rest of the mall has been abandoned. It used to be a great place to shop.
Jake Longworth
This mall looks so clean, it makes me suspicious. A mall should never be so well kept. They even have an arcade and a pinball machine showroom.
Katie M.
Good selection of stores and kiosks. Stays open late during the holidays, usually pretty easy to find parking, mall security is active.
Nathan Bresnahan
Layout makes the most sense of the area malls. Love V-stock, plenty of books and music to indulge in. Dilliards staff is always very helpful. Sears tools and workwears are awesome. Daytime movies at the AMC are cheap, too.
Ash Vegas
This mall used to be one of my favorites but it has really gone downhill. The stores are always closing or there aren't many that are actually open.
Cheryl Campbell
Love this Mall. Been coming here for 40 years. Walk there too for exercise. Miss St. Louis Breadco and many others that have left. I hope the new owners will refurbish it.
Quinton Slay
Nice mall, lots of stores I had never seen before. It was a good time. And the movie theater is awesome! Very comfortable seating!
Kelly Stephenson
A nice, well-maintained mall. Shopping has changed so malls are retail dinosaurs, but this one still has potential. The shops that are there are good ones.
Billy Colabello
All the shops are closing here. It's dead all the time. On a lighter note parking is much better here and there are no lines at stores anymore
Shelley Mullins
I enjoy going to AMC theaters here. People are nice and it's not crowded weekend mornings. I attend here quite often!
Kirk Augustine
I went to a movie here. I did not come here for shopping at all. Except to buy a movie ticket. The quality of ticket that I got from the theater was satisfactory. Dense paper, but not ridiculously so.
Anup Kumar Mishra
I usually go there to watch Hindi movies @ AMC Theater and to eat at The Cheesecake Factory. Macy's. and Jos. A Bank are the other two things I go to in this mall. But honestly I would recommend the premium outlets nearby for cloths. However, if you need a suit for a reasonable price, Jos. A Bank is not a bad option. They sometimes have a ~70% sale.
Tia Adkins
I visited a venue called The Connection, it was absolutely beautiful and the event there was very well done. I was saddened to see that so many of the stores in the mall had closed.
Darlene Bolden
It is convenient for me because I don't have a car; but it is sad to see so many
stores that have left. I hope the city of Chesterfield will try to keep the Mall going!
Jim Handshy
Saturday night 1 week before Xmas and this place was like a ghost town except for east side, theater and the cheesecake factory. Is everyone going to the outlet malls? I guess so.. Everyone has to join a bandwagon and keep up with mr and mrs jones
Lemon Bunny
If someone even thinks of rebuilding this mall or tearing it down, I'm going to have such a hissey!!!!! One of the best malls!!!! Easy to get to, get through, and get out. And a good food court, too!!!!!
Jayson Carey
It's a mall, and it isn't empty, so it's pretty good. I mainly only go to the AMC, but there are a few cool stores in addition to the standard mall stuff.
Timothy Church
Really started to slow down. Used to be very busy. Still has some good stores left but before you know it, its going to be another Crestwood mall.
Thomas P
Always like visiting Chesterfield Mall. I've been coining here since 1980, and loved its developement over the years. I've always felt safe, and trust that my teens are safe when they go alone.
D. Lawson-Hart
A once great mall, now reduced to a Cinema and a Cheesecake Factory. There are a few other stores as well but it's still sad it's mostly empty.
Jake M
I love this place now that it's dead! I love walking around seeing all the shuttered stores. It makes me feel all warm and cozy!
Herb Mclain
Went to Stoney River restaurant up by the Drury the best service ever the food was fantastic had the ribeye very good no issues at all it was my birthday so I got the carrot cake which is a foot tall and about 8 inches wide so good
sandeep laik
Half of the mall has closed down. Very less visitors. However decent collection + quick bite to eat still available
Kyle N
Went to the theatre and it was really nice! Seats were really comfortable too! Parking was hard to find on a Saturday night at 730p.
Hannah DuBois
There wasn't a whole lot to do here. I ended going in the gaming store and saw a movie at the AMC. The mall was nice and clean.
Ria Edens
Love the family lounges. As a nursing mother, that is a welcome sight. All the activities for kids are great, too. Lots of shops!
Ron Weathers
Not much left. Only a few stores.
Use to be a great place
Diana Rickles
This mall is in decline. Few stores are left. A movie theater and Cheesecake Factory are the only features that draw customers.
Joe Depczynski
When you aren't being hasseled by high schoolers this mall is one of the nicer attractions in the area. Though, I think it's a shame they have to compete with two malls a couple miles up the road.
Jason Cox
I mainly go here for the movie theater which is really nice. It would be nice to see this place revived. It's clean and we'll maintained and a good location.
Lorine King
We have there to see a movie enjoyed the moviea real shame there more stores I remember when you' would be knee deep in people when I would go shopping
Raquel H
We only have a few stores left and I still average almost twice a week here. Between kids at the barbershop, movie theater, food court, Cheese Cake factory, ect
Laura Purcell
What used to be my childhood go-to mall is now turning into a bit of a ghost town. It does still have a few stores I tend to visit, but many stores keep leaving.
Damian Jaundoo
honestly I like this mall but every time if I there is less and less stores. not sure if it is staying open or closing anymore
Tony Carrillo
AMC theater was open, clean,& social distancing in place. Great matinee prices!
Travel Bug
Great location and a nice big beautiful mall. You can spend all day here no problem. Great restaurants too.
Andrew Bennett
Used to be a good mall. But stores are starting to leave. Wouldn't be surprised if the mall is completely abandoned in the next 5-10 years.
John Moses
Lots of crafty ideas. Little pricey but glad we went.
Weather was NOT in our favor outside and stuffy inside.
Myraxiomara Hernandez
Amazing service, high 5 to our waitress. Amazing alfredo pasta and spinach and mushroom pizza.
Danielle Albea
Great Mall. Great Restaurants. Great Movie theater. Just far from me :) (Not sure why some reviewer said this was torn down. Its definitely not.)
Stacy K.
The place is nice, clean, and inviting however, there are lots of closed up shops. What is there is good and we found what we were needing.
john g
Falling into disrepair. Shops closed all over. Very sad to say. Employees of stores very friendly. Products that were there were priced right, however.
Britt Eubanks
Not anything like it used to be. Finally to be redeveloped. When? That is anyone's guess at least it won't be a dirt pit or pile.
Matt Koepke
My kids love the train and carousel, but, geez, not many stores left. Whatever shall happen to the mall concept?
Dawn Daniels
Was there August 3rd. Barely anything open, maybe due to Covid 19. Only a couple escalators working, made it difficult to navigate.
Tierra Martin
This is a wonderful mall. Plenty of shops and is very big. The malI is well maintained and beautiful inside and out. I would definitely revisit.
randy
We didn't do any shopping. We went to see a movie. The theater was old style. No recliners!
Stephen Tate
Most of the stores are closed but we went there to go to Lens crafters and to eat. Parking was easy as the lot mostly was empty
Michael Lohss
The mall is losing stores. It didn't help when Dillard's was massively flooded and had to close for repairs. It may never reopen.
Wendy Lovelace
It's a nice mall. It's a shame how many stores are gone.
Real Estate Business Investments Network
My favorite mall in the St Louis area. Not only is there the usual mall trappings, but also a great supply of art galleries and other items of interest.
Brendan W.
Going the way of many malls. Closing down stores and tiresome to walk in. But hey, its clean. And the movoe theater is not bad. Good prices too i thought.
jessia90
I go there for the cheesecake factory. Everything in that mall is closed down except the small book store. It's kinda creepy...
Tom Beckerle
It’s a great mall, and I wish stores would come back. I’m not a fan of the Premium Outlet in the Valley.
Courtney Hinton
Quaint. With the evolution of two outlet malls a few miles up the highway, there isn't much traffic these days. A few of the anchors remain.
Shalini Saravanan
decent mall, many businesses seem to be closing which is sad, including anime groll. I also like that there is a movie theatre here, there's a lot to do.
Kim Becker
As malls go - this is still a good stop for a movie and a meal. Shopping has lessened there but some of the chains still reign there.
Sarah McNeiley
Mall has some wonderful stores, but there are many empty store fronts. I believe that online shopping decreasing most Mall's revenue.
Jason “Jaypoc” Bauman
Great Mall with an excellent assortment of stores for everyone. Stores range from clothing and accessories to music and art, and even features a retro arcade in a collectable toys store.
P S
Really nice mall, but pretty empty. Hopefully they can get some more stores in there.
Erica Masterson
We enjoyed shopping the stores here, but we were sad to see so many places closed.
Wayne Moran
Other than V stock, The Cheesecake Factory, neutral zone and the theater, this place is a wasteland. Sad to see it go downhill so badly.
P Frisch
I thought this mall was closed when I arrived. I remember this was the place in its day, now two thirds of the stores are gone, closed. What a shame.
Jon Smith
Eeeeh. This place is okay. Getting a little sparse on the businesses though. But it is clean with entertainment for children-LARGE carousel- and AMC movie theater.
Ryan Isaacs
Nice mall to walk in. Has a double decker Merry-go-round! Also has a good selection of places in the food court.
Brandon Johnston
This mall often has things I cant get at the other malls like mid rivers. I generally have more store options as well as a nicer experience at this mall than at others.
Patrice Harman
I think it's very sad that this mall was hit hard by the outlet mall in Chesterfield Valley. Who wants to shop walking in and out of the weather. I prefer the malls.
Angela Gilmore
Definitely not vibrant like it used to be but still a few people and stores there.
Yorkielover 6
Only thing really left is Macy's and the Food Court. It looks like a ghost town. Too bad. I really liked this place.
neeraja nath
The mall is well maintained . The theaters are neat and clean. A good place to hangover!
Logan Landolt
The location of the mall is great, and you rarely have to worry about it being too crowded. It's a shame that it's in the shape it is now.
Lance Clanton

A few strong businesses still there, and pretty much empty at the same time.
Travers Curry
Went to Macy's to pick up an online order. All went well. Waiting for some development at the Mall!
Steven Littler
Great shopping mall must days during the week they are pretty slow do if you liked to shop in peace and not so crowned go during the week
Matthew Lenz
This place is on it's last legs unfortunately. Lots of vacancies and stores with minimal hours. Went on a Sunday afternoon and half of the businesses weren't open.
Greg Johnston
Mostly empty, and if the Cheesecake Factory and cinema were not there, it would be extremely quite all the time.
Dave Chadwick
2nd hand info, so take it for what its worth. my companion indicated the stores closed early and she had trouble finding a swim suit in February.
Bob Klein
Great place for mall walking. Only a handful of stores open. It is a testament to city mismanagement.
Alvin Lamkey
Nice mall. I remember it from years ago when it was the best mall in St Louis, but still a cool mall. Lots of vacancies though
Ariana Desiree
Small but neat little mall. They have a few cute attractions like a carousel and bungee cords.
Noah Weidner
Despite the valley being not far away with all it's selections, the mall is a great alternative and hosts many of the same stores + some others.
Patrick Johnson
Always clean mall with friendly employees and visible security staff. Music and other environmental factors seem to agree with my autistic child.
Tracy Eastman
This mall would be incredible if it wasn't mostly vacant. Sad to see such a large mall so empty.
Pat Lacey
So sorry that the ownership has not saved this mall! Sorry that Dillards helped the problem by not reopening. Still has some good places to shop!
LoLo B
This is a great mall. The location is perfect. It needs a revival but I think it would be totally worth it.
Boiotheboio
Great mall, has some of the funniest stuff in there. You won't believe how fast you could lose time.
Jonathon Raclaw
The AMC, Macy's, and other stores that remain were fun for perusing... The rest of the mall is sadly dead
Dave Zucker
Kinda a ghost town inside, but malls are a dying breed. Absolutely love the cheesecake factory and amc in it tho
Melissa Burla
Whoa! Stopped in last week for a movie, and it was like a ghost town - very few open stores. The owners need to get serious about repurposing the space here.
ramakrishna malladi
good enough for a couple of hours on a weekend. they have movie screens, food courts, macy's, sears. what elss. i like this mall.
Sally Stovall
Met someone to exchange some items. Love going to Cheesecake Factory and Christopher and Banks. Very sad mullah so empty
Colin Shipley
We come for the kid play area. Our toddlers really enjoyed it and it isn't busy!
Ed Bolton
Still clean and well maintained facilities. Becoming a ghost town. Does have a pretty decent arcade.
Maryanna Hamrick
So sad to see so many stores closing but still a great place to do my shopping for lots of varieties.
Michelle Brundage
Some great stores still open like Macy's, but many closed store fronts within the mall itself.
Dwight Taylor
Really nice mall. Hope they can bring some more stores back
James Adams
Well the AMC "wing" of the malls is fabulous, the other wings of the mall are like walking in the twilight zone.
Wanda Evans
Haven't been out here in forever. Went to buy a mattress from Sears. It's dying a slow death, killed by the newer outlet mall.
J H
Mall is very gloomy. Theater is ok but dated.
Balakumar Krishnaswamy
Many shops are closing. Has decent food line up, has Macy's, a cinema theater
Ms. R Provinse
Still love this place. Clean, bright, friendly. Various store types to suit needs.
Mandy McCoy
The only good place In the mall is the cheesecake Factory. Alot of the store went out of businesses
Vijay Naidu
Been at the mall and see that they are bringing in new stores for Christmas. Nice place to get your shopping done without the hassle of crowed malls
