In the 'Square' of it all of Portland MA... I had loads of fun shopping for almost everything I wanted... And the best part for me was there's a JAMAICAN restaurant just a few steps away right infront the Monuments Square Statute... I just could not resist, yes I'm a foodie, a proud one too

The Christmas Tree in Monument Square brings brightness in Downtown Portland, ME. In the center of everything, this is one attraction worth visiting for photo shoots, hang out , etc

Monument Square in Portland, ME is filled with many memories :) my buddy and I decided to park our bikes near the monument and get baked after a long ride around Southern Maine

Really cool as I stood in front of it the light behind head of the statue shined .

Great place to sit and relax and watch Portland go by. Not too noisy or crowded on the day I went. Just a few blocks from the waterfront, and very walkable.

usually chill, a good place for a meet up. lots of sea gulls and other birds so you gotta watch out a little. not the cleanest, also won't recommend for a date. but there are some nice restaurants close by.

Great open space. Plenty to see in the area. The library is just across the street. The tree lighting is always a fun event. It has become a meeting ground for protests and celebrations. There is all levels of restaurants, eateries, and bars. The Portland Public Market is here. A favorite of mine is Shay's. Great starting point for the First Friday ArtWalk.

It's a nice spot in the midst of the city to sit and watch the happenings. You'll find nice benches to relax on here. Bring lunch or a snack, sit back & chill.

Homeless people sleeping on benches and begging. Very sad to see in this wealthy city. Monuments to war and white men primarily. Interesting juxtaposition.
