Best Buy had a good selection of holiday movies. The store was clean, parking was available and the lot was salted to limit slipping. Friendly staff worked with me to ensure my holiday purchases did not show up on our account to spoil the surprise.

They'd been awhile since I've been here but as of 17 January 2023 they've torn down the old indoor mall and now it's just a regular shopping center with outside facing stores and a parking lot. It's decent looking though.

Quite a variety of name brands stores and lots of parking. Easy to get to from Oregon or Washington BUT can be kinda tricky to get back on the freeway if your unfamiliar with the roads. Lots of parking means lots of cars and pedestrians so be careful in the parking lots.

Sadly Jantzen Beach is slowly fading due to rampant homelessness. Cracker barrel was the latest victim and has permanently shuttered this location unless you are headed to a specific local there it's really not worth the headache of crossing the bridge. All of what made Jantzen beach unique is sadly gone including the original carousel that once reminded everyone of better times and brighter days

Jantzen Beach Center is exactly what you want when it comes to large selection of big box stores all in one place. Easy access for Oregon and Washington residents by way of I-5. It's served by the Portland metro area's TriMet bus line #6 and Vancouver, Washington's C-TRAN bus line #60. Both bus services have their bus stops located on the east side of the Center's parking lot. If you ride the bus there, you're probably used to walking a lot in the rain, snow, sunshine, wind and whatever the weather throws at you. It's a big area, so be prepared to safely walk and plan your purchases accordingly. TriMet's MAX light-rail Yellow line "services" Jantzen Beach Center, but the line ends about 1.2 miles away. It's not a walk for even the hardiest of souls. There are multiple homeless camps on the way to shopping, and with the homelessness, there's a lot of petty and serious crime at hand. Public bus services, cars or trucks are your best bet and safest way to Jantzen Beach Center. If you take the bus, be prepared for some depressive sights along the way. I've been to Third-World countries that look better than the views getting to and from JBC.

I love the variety of stores you can visit, the restaurants and it’s a wonderful walk if you enjoy window shopping or walking your pets over to the pet store! My chihuahua absolutely loves it there. Great prices and helpful employees at most of the shops you can visit(they do get very busy sometimes). Lots of parking and plenty of sights to see.

I really wish they had the swimming pool in all the arcade games and rides that they used to have. I was not here before they were gone. There's a good variety of places to shop however at grocery store would be nice in that area. There's usually available parking.

Good: Wide Selection of stores. Easy access from freeway. Lots of parking. The bad: homeless pushing their children to beg around Target... Lock your vehicle!!! I'd avoid JBC after dusk. Otherwise during daylight hours a good place to get everything on your list in one place.

It has become a full-service strip center basically. It's well maintained, it's clean, it's fairly secure. Target, Home Depot, Ross, a dozen and there stores basically just a little bit of everything. I still miss the Merry-Go-Round though.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Jansen Beach shares a similar story to many malls, but the ability of this little oasis to hold their key stores has helped keep them alive throughout the online transition. Good target, depot, and a long list of department stores you can't find many places.

A good variety of options for shopping. There's also several small Cafe type eateries that you can get to. The plaza is large so if you are going to be doing a lot of shopping or plan on visiting several stores, I suggest looking at a map to see where everything is.

I only visited Target, as Targets go it was an average store, pretty good selection...lots of security. Im certain there was a 3 to 1 ratio.. 3 security to 1 customer. Doesn't bother me I'm not there to shoplift but it feels strange to be watched and followed??

A large variety of popular stores (Target, Best Buy, Michaels, to name just a few but these are the biggies) in a huge cluster. And by cluster I mean cluster, traffic is almost always heavy. Washingtonians often drive over the bridge to avail themselves of tax free shopping, but during the holidays traffic is so heavy in and between the lots, on the surface streets and getting on and off the island, it's your call if it's worth the hassle.

Nice assortment of stores, however, I'm not a fan of the outdoor mall atmosphere. We have more rain than the sunny climates where this set-up works. The stores are too far apart to walk and tote shopping bags. That said, I often don't get past Duluth Trading anymore.

Michael's Craft store gets 2 thumbs up.. Toured 4 stores trying to find big bags of plastic eggs.. None to be had.. But lots of small bags already stuffed at huge prices.. Found bags of 24 eggs at great prices.. Helpful staff, pleasant..

Great place to shop. It has everything you can ever want. So many stores. Who ever designed the layout of everything did a fabulous job. Easy to drive around or walk to all stores. Plentiful, thought out parking. I particularly love the drive there because it passes by the Columbia River and all the floating homes and on a clear day you get an epic view of Mt. Hood. I knew jantzen Beach shopping area before it was redone and again, who ever designed everything did a great job!

Many of the stores have online order and in store pick up available at these locations. Definitely a spot to go if you want to avoid the I5 traffic and busy downtown scene.

Once again to Target for a lamp, shower caddy, rug, love those rugs, got a semi circle door mat for in front of my sink and one for in front of my stove, got a great pattern in them and they match. It looks awesome.They have a good selection of many items for people who don't want the worst, but can't afford the best. Works well a couple of ways. It was a good shopping time.

Fairly good shopping center, with a good variety of stores. everything from Target department store to Home Depot to a couple different restaurants. can't really recommend it any stronger than that, but really have no complaints and no reason why I would avoid the location. It's fairly readily accessible from I-5, and other major streets in the area.

Went to the Cracker Barrel for the first time it was great no waiting was amazed at that. A good sized menu with breakfast all day daily specials the food and service was great I need to go back and try something else though. I'm getting older though and I wouldn't recommend driving at night when it's got a good rain going poor visibility poor lane marking lines and even worse drivers lol

Great for shopping around, has just about everything you need as far as a mall goes. Most of the stores have a lot of empty shelves but friendly service. Most of all, they could use easier walkways. There aren't a lot of crosswalks, especially where it would be convienant.

I have to admit I was only there briefly. We went to a couple of stores and it was in the evening. Many people were Christmas shopping so the parking lots were pretty full. There is a LOT of parking. If you were going to spend the day shopping there would be a lot of walking since the stores are separate from one another. I just loved the fact that there are so many different stores to choose from. It does make me want to go back when I have more time.

I live super close to Jantzen beach and I looooove coming to the shopping center. I always find great stuff and the area is continuing to expand with new places like the Cracker Barrel. It doesn’t seem to get extremely busy down in that area but there is a little more traffic on the weekends. My favorite places to shop are carters, Burlington and Target. The whole area is really nice and there is a lot to offer.

Nice variety of places to shop. If you walk from store to store you even get good exercise! I have never been here when there were crowds that were uncomfortable to maneuver. I find the only drawback to be having to take route 5 to get there. The traffic from 2 p.m. on is bumper to bumper and makes for a miserable ride.

As far as these outdoor shopping centers go is ok. The traffic pattern is mapped out in a kind of confusing way. Almost like the kept expanding without an overall plan. But I will say there's a ton of parking and a good variety of shops.

Love Jantzen Beach! I have been going here since I was a little one. They have a really fun merry go round in the main Mall. A bunch of really cool little shops in the mall but outside, all the big stores surround the entire complex property. There is everything you need at Jantzen Beach. Several big chain stores such as Best Buy, Home Depot, Pier 1 Imports.. The list goes on! Take a look at their main website to see all of the stores. I love going there because everything I need is within walking distance of each store. Definitely a 10 out of 10

Great selection of stores, this place has the best toys 'r' us and babies 'r' us my wife and i have ever been to. After shopping we sent for appetizers and drinks at Stanford's and we were very happy with the quality of food and drinks as well as the service.

Weird parking with a couple of spot next to the store, everything else is across a parking lot. Only location I've been to across the country that I've bakes throw hash brown casserole until 3/4 of it is hard and not edible. Have made the mistake of ordering it on two separate visits. Otherwise the location is fine. Also, note, when looking to enter the dining area, there is nothing marked entrance only the one marked exit with the greeter station at it. It's both

Great place to go especially if you live in Vancouver. You can buy stuff there tax free. Traffic can by a dog, but we'll worth the trip. Kinda bummed that Waddles restaurant isn't there anymore though, nor Red Lion. Feels historic when I go there. Jantzen Beach Mall is built on the site of the old Jantzen Beach Amuement Park. Really sad it's gone, was so, so much fun!

This has been a part of Portland for so long. I can think back to where all the stores were located on the inside rather than out side. It really takes me back. To stay with the times, there have been more stores added. The outlet feel give a you the chance to visit other great stores, but get what you need. This is a place where you will want to spend time at because there are a variety of stores that offers many different things. They have something for all!!!!!

Like the open air of the mall. 2 bad things, 1, seem like we drive from store to store because it us spread out and 2, they took the Carousel down to improve the mall, promising to find a new home on Jantzen Beach to put it. Plenty of empty places to put it and would also draw business to stores near it! It's an icon to Jantzen Beach from when it was an amusement park. They need to home it there!

I needed a new cellphone. I was at Best Buy. They didn't have the phone I was looking for. The Verizon rep was helpful. I went back two days later but they didn't get the phone in their shipment. I asked them if they could search for the phone. They found one at the Lloyd center store.They were helpful, asked appropriate questions regarding what I wanted and answered my questions.

Wow, once again parking along the way to get to a store, as the road and parking the same. I think It's a little hazardous and at night as I'm driving to the back area, let's say Best about, I'm always worried someone will back right into me. It's crazy, but it was night and I couldn't see any other way to the store. Lots of variety and looked like they had all the stores I like to shop in.

This shopping area is considered an outdoor venue as you have to walk outside store to store. It is spread out so there's a lot of walking unless you move your car around. My favorite part is Home Depot, BestBuy, Target, and Home Goods store. There are also a couple restaurants which include fast food and sit down restaurants. The shopping area had been remodeled by the owners within the last couple years and unfortunately they were moved Barnes & Noble which was a nice place to have. They have improved the layout with the changes made.

This place has a variety of stores ranging from crafts to electronics to home repair, sporting goods , speciality stores for health and to clothing to make up and so on. I felt safe with the security doing rutine patrols and the way the Portland police made their present known. Yes like so many places the homeless are here as well but they seem to keep a distance and don't harass anyone that I noticed. When we got hungry there were plenty of options for us to choose from like the usually McDonalds and Taco Bell to the more home seating of Denny's to a great place we tried called the cracker barrel which the food was great to the staff just as good and the general store that sells misc. Merchandise that seem to fit about at least most of our family. So you can't go wrong here at jatzen beach I wish the old marry go round was still here as when I was kid it was just awesome to ride the ride and feel as though I was free and able to just let go and escoe with the feelings of freedom and imagination.if that was still here you really couldn't give enough stars to give this place justice. So you won't be dissapointed but you will be a bit it lighter in the pocket book.

Love this little shopping center, they have Target, Best Buy and Panera Bread! For some reason that's all I care for. Anyways there is a LOT OF PARKING, and a lot of places to visit while being at Jantzen Beach Center.

Jantzen Beach Shopping Center has a wide variety of shops to choose from. It is close to I-5 and near the I-5 Bride to Washington State. Target, Home Depot, Mattress Store, Beaches Restaurant, a lotto bar, Best Buy, PetSmart and several other shops. Oh! There is also a large, beauty supply/hair care shop tucked in the back by the mattress store. It has wigs, bags of hair, lots of hair products. A nice variety of ethnic hair care products.

There's a lot of selection of stores for your shopping needs; there is also cigarette & cigar stores. Usually pretty clean. Just be warned, the roads around there as well as the freeway entrances & exits so be careful!

There is a lot I miss, and a lot to be improved. There is no attraction anymore except for the gambling which I don't do. Bring back a theme park, as Oaks Park isn't doing too hot. Indoor theme park would change Portland for the better. More jobs, something fun to do year round.

This is a great area with a lot of options from Best Buy for electronics to Ross, Target and Home Depot. The roads in are a little confusing when trying to find a certain store but I highly recommend this shopping center.

This by far changes yearly but we are known for lottery machines, hooters, red lion, mall like settings. We have fast food only 1 pool table located at owls nest next to hooters. Beach access to fish, agate hunt or go on your boat for the day. Rv parking at the trailer park for tent and trailer camping.

The developers have really done a good job over the years of overhauling this place. Great retailers and good food options in a modern shopping center that gets busy but still flows pretty well. Some of the new businesses and restaurants they're bringing in are going to make this place a real destination for both north Portland and Clark County. Now if only they could bring the classic Carousel back!

Would like better signage along main road as to which retailer was actually closer to which main entry, as it's not easy to see and if one enters too early, they become stuck in slow traffic with stop signs TOO plentiful/frequent.

This shopping center is very close to the Oregon state line making it just a short distance for Washington residents looking to save on sales tax. The outdoor shopping center has many of the big retailers and plenty of parking. The downside is that it can be tricky to access with the short on/off ramps from I-5 and no alternate entrance.

Technically its not a "mall" anymore. I would say its a set of strips malls and bigger stores such as Home Depot. Its seems the area is becoming more and more like a giant homeless island camp. The security/maintenance crew do a good job of keeping the peace and keeping the area clean. Toys-R-Us is now closed. The carousel has long time been removed. But lots of shops to choose from and an ok selection for foods.

Great "walking mall" (or strip mall) There's a ross, target, best buy, home improvement store, chain pet store, and more. They also have several food choices across from the main shopping area. The bus does go there but its super confusing. You have to take the 6 to Walmart get off and take the 6 going the opposite direction to get to jantzen beach. The bus also goes to the middle of the shopping area before leaving, so if you have mobility issues that's a plus.

It's a big old school shopping center but it's growing into its own. They continue to add new shops while keeping their anchors like Target, Home Depot and Best Buy. Some decent food choices now such as Boardwalk Burger with insane fries. The new Homegoods and DSW are nice fits. Its easy to get to usually. Especially from the Washington side so a nice spot to avoid sales tax.

On the plus side ○Theres a great huge osprey nest atop a light in front of Home Goods. Look for the guano in the parking lot. ○ Nice assortment of shops, including a new Sierra Trading. Transit here is a little difficult if you have to work late. Some great store options(Target!, Ulta and Sierra Trading Post among others) but definitely skip Panera!! Was treated so poorly and the cashier was either untrained or just didn’t care about her job! The Jantzen Beach Shopping Center has something for everyone including tax free shopping if you're into that. The center has gone from an indoor based mall to a large collection of external buildings. There are dozens of business on the island.....everything from lumber to electronics! The only downside is getting back on the freeway during busy shopping seasons.

Like the shopping center but I have been harassed by the security several times. At Jantzen Beach you are not allowed to sit on a patch of grass anywhere or they will kick you out and threaten to trespass you. The new Sierra Outpost is great. Similar to R.E.I. and they carry the same name brands, just without the insane overpricing on their merchandise. Friendly staff in most of the stores, great location and like all of Oregon, always sales tax free.

Biggest plus for this shopping center is it is on the way to Washington. So if you are just travelling from Oregon to Washington or vice versa and want to buy some tax free goods. You just grab them on the way to Washington. Place had food joints like Picasso pizza, electronic stores like best buy etc. So you kind of a get everything when you come to this shopping center (Except the clothing centers which I didn't notice if there were any).

I go to Jantzen Beach Center, usually to hit up Home Depot when I'm in that part of town. Never too busy, always get a decent parking spot. The lots are always well kept and well lit. Jantzen Beach Center was a mall that was bound for extinction with no anchor stores to draw people in. After rebuilding and having several smaller segmented store pods, its a nicer place to shop. Home Depot, Michael's, Video Only, Target, Pier One, Best Buy, Burlington Coat, Cracker Barrel, DSW Shoes, Home Goods, Petco, Panera, Pier 1, Ross, Staples, TJ Maxx and quite a few others are there for perusing. For Washingtonians, a quick trip across the river, and tax free shopping awaits.

Sunday 12:30pm. Undercooked omlette, cold hash brown casserole, very busy as you wpuld expect. Waitress too busy to bring butter and does not bring jam. No check until end of meal so I had to wait. All of these are minor issues though. But I tell the manager and he argues with me about all except the omlette. Then insists on comping the meal. I just wanted him to listen. He wanted to tell me off for complaining. I left feeling upset and not understood.

Ii love Jantzen Beach Jan. Thru Oct. It's got everything for your shopping needs, so much that it makes it very dangerous to navigate two of the twelve months every year, but I love the Island so much I take the risk. The reason is that the holiday season brings thousands of more vehicles and pedestrians. Traffic to the one way on, one way off Island gets overwhelmed, and the roadways get swelled to capacity, some drivers loose control and drive carelessly, in the search for a fast way off the Island, where there is no such solution, other than wait their turn with the rest. I know first hand, as a resident, the dangers of walking through the carnage of drivers through foot paths and parking lots. Drivers getting so upset they force there way on to pedestrian walk ways over parking lot garden curbs just to get one car length ahead, and out on to the street, putting others on foot in dangerous situations. Nov. Thru Dec. Be alert, prepared for long waiting periods to and from the Island. Prepaid yourself for a driving, and walking/biking experiances. This will test your spirit of the holidays on the worst way. Enjoy!

I like the old mall here at Jantzen Beach then now. Its lame now stores to far apart. If unable to walk next door - you can walk or wheelchair to next store but mostly you have to drive to the next store

Used to be jantzen beach mall. Which was one of the worst malls in Oregon. Now its just a big mini mall Home depot, Burlington coat factory,, payless shoes, Panera bread, petco, Target.and more.
