Reviews of City Center
The city center of Minneapolis is pretty dynamic. There is so much cultural diversity in this city and it's a wonderful.nicollet Mall road has been completely remade for only buses so it's pedestrian and biker friendly and it's amazing.the sad thing is is I still see so many homeless people using drugs. I wish there was some way I could help them as I was a former addict myself. That little bit aside, I love Minneapolis it's an absolutely wonderful, diverse and beautiful city
First time visiting Minneapolis. The sections of the city we visited seemed very clean and organized. Plenty of cultural things to do with restaurants, stores and parks. Seems easy to navigate and the parking seems a little cheaper than many other cities that we have visited.
M Club Lounge
All American Breakfast
Corner Executive Suite
Parking and shops, but the best part Fogo De Chao Brazilian restaurant is located there.
Downtown Minneapolis is a pale shadow of what I enjoyed in the past. The only living things to be seen are the homeless, mentally deranged, and people rushing trying to avoid the unwanted. So sad.
Went downtown streets were clean I saw a couple outdoor pianos that you could play I visited Target I went into the Marshalls downstairs City center great employees that a police presence it was a nice day.
Met with nephew n family downtown mpls city center and had a great time seeing everyone!
Great place to go to, lots of things to do and Great places dinning out.
Lots of changes since before the pandemic. There is a new bank branch in the space that was brooks brothers! The donut and Chinese food spots were still open early Jan 2022
Beautiful downtown Minneapolis experience,we stayed at the EmbassySuite and enjoyed the skywalk exploring malls, restaurants and shops.
I feel like there are some misconceptions about City Center - City Center used to have a lot more to do and a food court, however it no longer has that. There are still some food options, a Starbucks, the fabulous Cardigan Donuts, but these are all largely aimed at the employees working downtown. It's a great building to work in, but nothing to go out of your way for.
GOOD DEALS AND PHAT FINDS β!
Marshall's at City Center has a huge clearance event! Great deals and all of the stores in City Center are phenomenal.
Cardigan Donuts. Simply the best glazed old-fashioned donuts ever. And they happen to have their only location City Center.
It was great for Sunday afternoon not too busy no restrooms that's why but it was good shopping
I am old enough to remember when City Center was a bustling hub of stores and restaurants.... unfortunately City Center seems an empty mall with scant offerings of either retail or food outlets. I don't know if they have any public bathrooms, but I couldn't locate any nor any employees or even security walking around to ask lol! Its really surprising with all the new construction happening around the area, but don't come to City Center hoping to spend a day shopping with a bite to eat while doing so. its like a ghost town in there with people coming and going through since there isn't much to stop for anymore.
A very busy place - but hey i'd go there again with or without I.D.
Lol 😃 …
Well it's hard to rate because we were there late and only went to dinner downtown at a restaurant. I will hopefully go back one day and be able to give a good detailed review. There was a candy store I really wanted to go into, but it was closed 🤷♀️ Maybe next time we will go early. …
Like the little shopping areas inside of here. Looks nice and very spacious inside. Will need to go back and do some shopping or hangout with a friend and go out to eat somewhere in there. Applied for a job there today through Prostaff today. I think it went well.🙂 …
Nice and clean. Plus security on site for safety feeling.
Marshalls is one of the best places to pick up quality clothes at a fare price. Aslo, between having a starbucks and food court it a nice stop in Downtown. Hopefully we will see things get back to normalcy soon, but once it does all the shops will be back open.
Cool, odd place. It's a Mall/Office building/hotel. Regardless, it's a cool space. Useful to go in to cool off or warm up. Interesting design and it also allows you to connect to the sky way.
Barely a shopping mall as the selection of stores is miniscule and is mainly expensive designer brand stores that most people can't afford or are too smart to spend $150 on a pair of sunglasses. This is likely why the stores here have 75% off deals year round because no one shops at them. But I do love the Christmas display the building does and the really cool are gallery on the second floor. These are about the biggest highlights of the city center.
Very clean and they had good selection of food choices. They had snacks for us when we came back from the games and we could help ourselves to as much juice, bottled water, soda, milk, coffee, specialty drinks that we wanted
Honestly, the city center is not the same. I remember back in the day when we had Sam Goody (music store), twins town (clothing store), more food choices, and it was a fun place to go to, now it's just boring.
Chase my bank is there. Also made use of the UPS Store b4 I went to Marshalls.
Sincerely,
Diane
Open early cold out Starbucks open kind and generous place to get warm security is helpful great shops fantastic restaurants Feima David is surely one of the best socially and culinary chefs in the twin City
My children and I love being in the skyway system and City center is a happy part of that traversable network. The security guards are consistently approachable and knowledgeable about where to go for what and City center is clean and fun to be at.
City Center in Minneapolis is very nice building, Skyway and atrium area filled with or near restaurants, stores and shops. The architecture and glass make this a somewhat unique piece of the Skyway network and I walk over here frequently in all Seasons to gaze at the Minneapolis skyline via buildings. There isn't really anything bad to say about City Center and I will continue to walk, shop and eat over here.
Since covid has hit the city, not much is open. Those stores that are, close early. Very uncomfortable walking around downtown.
As of at this moment, I go into City Center to shop at Marshall's or tow
the skyway system to get from one point to another. I could only wish that City Center was like it used to be. I went there with my grandmother and it had the Nankin anchoring one corner and TGIF on the other end, Marriott hotel still holding tough. When Moa happened, like many places after a few years they were almost a ghost town. I still love it.
This is like one big contiguous mall. Lots of retailers and restaurants for every budget. The downside is no public restrooms. Definitely a downer, for the very young and older visitors.
Largly empty of anything worthwhile. Some high priced clothing stres and one or two coffee shops, but nothing really special. Since Macy's left, I find no point in going inside.
I need am very proud of City Centers new corner store on the first floor, urban outfitters. If they could bring in a Byerlys Lunds or Trader Joe's into City Center so that people downtown, could connect right from a skyway into a good grocery store. There are alot of people going home after work who like to grocery shop on their way home.
5 Stars purely because Marshalls is here. They also have other places I the building like Sacks Off 5th, Starbucks, and the UPS Store. (UPS STAFF ARE AWESOME)
New Niccolit mall outside the city center is definitely a place to visit if your downtown Minneapolis or close by you won’t regret it lots of shops and food and even more people. Go see for yourself.
Found the building easily. Several smaller stores and a large store or two on the ground floor and on the skyway level. Remodeled a few years ago. Easy access to 7th & 6th Streets and Nicollet Mall for bus stops. Skyway connection to surrounding buildings and a parking ramp.
Hopefully more stores move in here. Great location by Target Center and Target Field. We walk through City Center several times per month and usually make purchases!
Best Place for shopping. Beautifully decorated shops.
A shadow of its former glory, stores and restaurants mostly only on the skyway level at this point.
At the heart of Minneapolis downtown, City Center is am awesome place to work, shop, and eat. Love the ambience. It's has Saks 5th Off as well. Naf Naf, Cardigan donuts, Leann chin, Starbucks, UPS Store. It is next to Marriott Hotel. Awesome lobby.
Very colorful at night lots of tourists go there.
There are a few shops and resturants and a starbucks. It's a cool place to sit and lounge and they do an indoor farmers market on certain days which is pretty cool.
Right in the heat of downtown Minneapolis the location can't be beat if downtown is where you want to be! You will find a variety of stores and placed to eat in and around City Center...many of which are not the typical chains you see everywhere so there is definitely variety. If it's later in the day keep in mind many locations downtown close earlier than typical. You might read other reviews saying how "back in the day this place was better" or "everything is expensive designer blah blah" or 'needs more security" etc. These examples are a little one sided. There is nothing less safe than any other establishment located in the middle of a large city. "Better" and "expensive" are relative terms. Over time things change may change and its obvious that City Center has many things in place for it to be a successful destination. While everyones experience is different the reality is City Center is a great place and worth a visit.
Home to one of the Target offices downtown. Many options to eat around, not just in the building, but across the street in every direction no matter which way you enter or exit.
The only thing is that the building seems like a huge walkway and is almost like a freeway at rush hour.
One of my favorite buildings in the city. So clean and welcoming!
I can only give it the four stars due to COVID-19 being an issue and so many things being closed down However what is still open and all the things that are still happening the place is still kicking but
It's always clean and the atmosphere of the building never seems to change
Oh I Love It This Place As Beautiful To Place..
There cracking down on the gangster kids hanging around there. So beautiful and becoming more and more family friendly everyday.
Need to stop calling City Center a shopping mall.
City Center as a shopping mall has been long gone.
This is a half empty hulk (and after makeovers to Target Center & Block E - now has distinction of being ugliest building downtown )
This is a skyway between the former Multi -Foods building and hubs of actual activity
Some shopping...Marshall in basement, NeedlessMarkups aka NeimenMarcus, John Edwards custom shoes and Brooks Brothers..catering to the skyway crowds.
But the days when ever corner had a shop...from a Victoria's Secret to small independent shops.
Now...a couple food stops...including an incredibly loud salad chopper in a kiosk (so noise cAnnot be missed?)
Mostly businesses catering to business.
MN Bar Assoc takes the 3rd foor.
Middle of first floor is wide open and makes for great Christmas decor and lunch time music!
Fronting Hennepin Ave is Fogo to Chao - the love affair with MEAT!
Went shopping. Was pleasant while I was there.
The stores are closed enough together you can park in the middle of the lot and get to all of them easily. Good variety of stores, too.
This is a good location in downtown Minneapolis which ahas good sky walk connections , plenty of good bars around , lot of shopping options , good restaurants in the skyway , near to the government parking lots - ramp a,b n c. Close to the freeways. There are few theaters in the center , ywca is in the city center.
completely reimagined from its early 2000's heyday; clean, open, airy; a fast-moving section of the skyway system; features a nice collection of stores & restaurants
Very quiet inside. It's not anything like it was in the 80's and 90's. If your from Minneapolis you know what I mean 😁 …
Enjoyed playing City Center played very short set response incredible ?? Keep changing numbers no big deal
Very convenient for anyone who works in the downtown Minneapolis area. Just hoping City Center will survive the current mass exodus.
There's something for everyone whether it's getting food to drinking coffee. There's a nice nail salon in there as well
Shopping and dining in city center is easy and convenient! Great restaurants, retail stores, tailor shops and dry cleaners!
I still love downtown and the City Center.
Use to be a great place to shop and eat mostly business now, alright of healty cook and high price clothes, even marshals use to be a better store
There's a good gym in the ground floor for employees working in city center. Target office is here.
Nitro coffee and Mediterranean cuisine. What's not to like? The outside of the building succeeds at being the most unattractive building downtown.
busy time when I visited the City Center, but the gentleman who helped me was very intelligent in his field and helped me accordingly.
Great place to go through! Coffee shops Clean Atmosphere & Other stores !
Good security. Well lit. Convenient location. Festive. Has difficulty maintaining stores and restaurants. High turnover
Surprised by how many stores are in there, but im use 2 when they had the food court on the 2nd floor. i miss the old city center.
I always love staying here when I come to town! This time we stayed at the Marriott.
Connected to a bunch of restaurants, home to a piece of Target headquarters, and in a great location downtown. Although I must say - the building is a bit of an eyesore.
Beautiful, clean rooms, friendly staff. It did take a bit to get a service that we requested though.
Love the variety of shops around. Near the Target center where we walked to for the Twins game vs Indians.
Eventhough I like the old city center with the food court they had on the upper floor, they still have Marshals and some improvement.
Loved this place. Fantastic place to have attached, by skywalk, to conference Centers and Hotels
Nice place to walk but the shopping does not appeal to me.
Nice mall with a lot of stores, unfortunately they are mostly expensive over priced stores
Delicious food and excellent service. Alberto and Ibrahim provided everything we wanted.
I would like to say I visited Target here. It's a convenient place to have a mall in the Uptown area.
This place is all right they've got some good restaurants.
Rather go in and out quickly out of MRshalls these young guys and old. Men and the young ladies like standing all in front of MRshalls doing nothing.
Sax 5th avenue is closed everything's closed for now just Marshalls is 😺. …
Awesome little mall. In a great location as well.
i went to the donut shop as i was passing through the building. the donut didnt make it out of the building sad to say.
I'm familiar with this place I've been around for about 6 years as far as hanging out and around downtown Central Minneapolis metro area
Decent stores to shop but can get a bit crazy round crush hour.
Decent amount of shopping and dining here. Connected to skyway, so easily accessible.
Typical work plaza. Great donut shop though, Cardigan donuts are great and have a prime location
Beautiful place to sit and enjoy some snacks you City dweller
Great place to shop and spend all your moneys
I always enjoy the comfort and food City Center is a place to relax shopping eat !!!!"
Not to bad needs more shop it's kind ok dead.
I remember the City Center when it first began! It was nostalgic going back and remembering where things were.
Favorite place downtown and super accessible to everything through the skyway
Love the stores at city center and the farmers market right outside every Thursday
I had to pick up my prescriptions from Walgreens.
Clean, convenient and central. Great shops, restaurants and decor.
A few different fast food lunch options and women's clothing shop's
Nice upscale district downtown Minneapolis.
Great place to go for lunch. Lots of good places.
Annoyed unable to get from ramp to hotel indoors without going through most of the mall (around 3 sides of the hotel, definitely not a straight route).
It's full of fun shops and a nice starbucks :)
Busy, lots of shops, much excitement! Starbucks and cardigan donuts.
It's a good place but I prefer mall of America
Excellent mall with plenty of stores but is kind of on the decline of business.
They try and update the interior, but until they fix the exterior, it still feels/looks like you are in the Soviet Block
A great place to be weather, it's shopping, business, or dining...
Awesome property! It's back up and running!
Another place to visit while in Mpls. Easily accessible from the skyway with some great shops
This place will always hold a place in my heart, stay away at night though unless you're a gun fighter.
One of my favorite places too shop !!! Needs more stores !!!
Skyway level is nice lower level u have saks fifth ave and Marshalls
THE NAIL SHOP AT CITY CENTER IS VERY VERY PROFESSIONAL!!!
Beautiful, calm, and a nice environment....absolutely love the area!!
Remodel looks good. I wish they had more restaurants.
Not the same City Center I grew up with. More business oriented now.
Clean, secure, and I have some of my favorite shops and restaurant there.
Downtown Minneapolis is awesome!
My Doctor is located in the City Center. I find it very nice with helpful people.
Nice area during the day.
Very cool space. There are many options and lots to choose from.
Definitely will return, once all the construction is completed.
Lots of diversity of food, and a good beer bar!
It would be 5 stars but it has a dumb salad store
Found this place through the skyway.. and then had to leave through ground level because there needs to be more skyway
Appears to be like any other mall chain, that is lots of empty store fronts and outdated.
Been going there for a very long time it's my first stop to the skyway
Can't wait for Leann Chin to open again!
Seemed nice. Just did a walk through.
Cozy yet affordable and still within downtown!
I still love the good ole City Center!
Always good going back to my childhood stomping grounds
One of my favorite places in downtown Minneapolis. <3
Great place for shopping and seeing the sights.
Parking is EXPENSIVE! But once you're in, there's plenty to see and do as you walk around.
Starbuck's is the reason I went there. Usually busy.
Beautiful place just to kick back
The splash pad for kids is just so great!!!
Not to busy. Inside the city center
Lame! Few good stores. There is one wife really likes.
Friendly layout. Good looking place.
Had to go here as the UPS store I normally use was closed.
This place has everything plus it's connected to the sky way!
It's kinda comming back. The bus stops outside is kinda scary.
I want there to somethings done and it was nice thete
