I love this place. It's always well decorated. Nice variety of restaurants and stones, from fancy like SUGARFISH to fast food like Pick up Stix. Having a Ralph's and Rite Aid makes it even more convenient place to spent time and shop. Recently adding Tesla Superchargers makes it the optimal place for Tesla owners to charge, shop and dine.

Love this location for tesla supercharger:). Barnes and nobles is a great stop for a restroom break, refreshment at Starbucks, and a good read There’s also a Ralph’s for grocery shopping, and a Rite Aid for and pharmacy or convenience needs.

Please remind me never to return! This is the second time we've been there - and it's always the same. The good (lots of good): The place is busy, popular and prosperous. Lots of good restaurants and shops. If you like to people watch, this is terrific. People are nice - I saw a stranger got out of his car to help a friend on crutches get safely out of the parking lot to the restaurant where we awaited her. The bad (from my perspective): The place is busy and popular and trying to get through the parking lot is like a permanent traffic jam. Personally, I hate crowds and generally avoid them.

I loved to walk around this mall and the neighborhood. Although it’s an expensive place, usually, it’s not crowded, and it’s also air open (a safer option during a pandemics). I loved to watch the little duck family in the waterfall but haven’t seen them recently. It seems a bit like walking in Magic Kingdom with the music playing around the area. It’s a cute place where it’s worth a visit now and then.

amazing place yet most of it is overpriced and dependent on location. i have had more budget-friendly experiences in beverly hills so that's saying something. that being said, this place definitely knows it's audience and i doubt it's the kind that have a limited budget, if you catch my drift.

Right around the corner from my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn at Calabassas. Great upscale shopping and restaurants. Ate at the Crossroads vegan restaurant. The food was so good that I did not notice any difference from non-vegan ingredients. The food is fresh and extremely delicious. I would eat there every day if I could. The plate on the upper left is a Tofu that tastes like steat. Amazing. The plate with what looks like an egg yoke in the middle is actually a tomato concoction that is incredible. The chef is a master. The serving plates were some sort of metal / ceramic combo. Very impressive. The staff, too, is incredible with several members stopping by our table to ask if there was anything we needed. Our server was aided by multiple different staff members. This level of attention really made me feel that I was a valued customer. You won't be disappointed !!!!!

Nice outdoor mall with some upscale eateries, super market, drugstore, shops and movie theater. I like this plaza since they have everything I need my only issue is some of the eateries get super busy on the weekends and there are crowds of people.

Always a fun area too shop around. It is nice to stop here when heading toward the coast. It would be nice if there were more choices for food, but the variety in shopping is nice and you can find just about anything you are looking for.

Beautiful ambience for spending an evening. This place has restaurants, movie theatre, a Barnes and Noble, ice cream shops as well as retail stores. The fountains, the plants and the lights add a charming touch. However, the stench of manure of the plants can get super nauseating. I'd recommend you request to be seated indoors if you choose to dine at the restaurants here. The food they serve is absolutely delicious so don't let the manure odor ruin your dining experience outside.

This place is great, upscale not overpriced yet casual at the same time. The wait staff was great I had some pretty darn good sushi can't wait to go back and try the tuna or another fish of the day. There's a casual bar in the center of the dining area plenty of parking in the commons area. I'll be back!

We recently had lunch at the Toscanova Italian restaurant at the Calabasas Commons shopping complex in Calabasas. This is an attractive outdoor area with good dining and what seemed like a good place for family-friendly leisure and entertainment. Our meal at Toscanova was pretty good. The cinema nearby seemed rather neat and we liked the Mediterranean feel of the outdoor area with nice landscaping, fountain pools and statue figures of frogs and young children playing. Lots of turtles in the pool as well, something else enjoyable for the little ones. Would have enjoyed another visit to the Commons to shop around and have another meal, particularly during evenings when the weather is favourable.

I love driving out to this, less-crowded, well-designed (something for everyone!) outside shopping center with excellent, unharried, free, (even some shade!) parking! I go from Encino, so it's relatively close, and you're usually going the "right" way on the 101 freeway during the morning or afternoon. (Beware though that evening traffic headed west will get you later in the day, unless it's a weekend!) It's a lovely drive and the destination offers up a selection of nice restaurants, an ice cream parlor, sushi, pizza, theaters, a wonderful European-style coffee house and the last remaining brick & mortar Barnes & Noble bookstore I'm aware of in this area 😩 However, it's the unexpected, enchanting turtle pond that steals the show here! Huge koi join the massive amounts of red-eared sliders (I think that's what they are?!?) patrolling their digs and entertaining all variety of amused onlookers 👏👏👏👍 So go, grab some brunch or lunch or see a movie, take some out-of-town guests, or just explore with the kids and enjoy ice cream or pizza and the turtles 😅 such a calm, relaxing environment! Love it!

Beautiful area filled with lots of shops and restraunts. Enjoy indoor or outdoor dining at most of the establishments. There is also a movie theater and a Barns and Nobel if you'd like a different sort of entertainment

It is the central shopping plaza in Calabasas in San Fernando valley. Ralph is the anchor grocery store. There is a Starbucks also but has very strange hours. Other high end shopping stores and restaurants. There is also an AMC theater but it seems like it is being closed.

We enjoy this outdoor shopping mall. This town is pretty much non smoking, good number of restaurants with Ralph's and Rite-Aid as anchor stores. Parking is a little hectic in the evenings and weekends but it's there ... You just might have to park a little further away than you want. Live music on Thursday nights during the summer.

Visiting from Ireland I was unaware that you can't smoke in Calabasas, I was approached by security and demanded that I put the cigarette out, I asked why he said you can't smoke here, I said outside? Yes, now put it out, Where are the "No Smoking" signs I asked he said there are none, you can't smoke in Calabasas it's the law.. How is a visitor to Calabasas know this? Besides that it's a lovely place to visit, good restaurants, and coffee.

We ate at King's Fish. I had the salmon w/ garlic mashed potatoes and fried Brussels sprouts. My companions had linguine and clams. We had calamari, spicy shrimp and California rolls for appetizers. It was all really good, good sized portions.

Probably the nicest center you'd find in the valley. They cut out a huge portion of the hill just to build this place. Some of the nicest shops too. Also, the shops here aren't incredibly boring like at most malls. There's a bookstore, an ice cream store, a movie theater, candy store, you name it. Lots of much needed parking as the place is very crowded a lot. Lots of annoying rich people driving poorly, too, though that is to be expected as it is Calabasas. Wonderful place overall though.

A nice getaway from my home town. I tend to stay in one of the last Barnes and Noble there, walk around, grab a Starbucks and see a movie. If I'm meeting a friend, we might grab lunch. For me, it's a good place to meet up with a friend. There's even turtles. :)

It's located in a beautiful location right next to the library. Could take your kids to read at the library and then have something to eat and walk around

Very gorgeous place ... It has a beautiful small waterfall .. I didn't get a chance to take a picture otherwise I would post it but such a pretty place and has this great restaurant called King's Fish House !! Omg amazing food .. on the pricier side but totally worth it for a special occasion!!!

My favorite place to hang out. Especially love the ambiance, turtles, fish, and the vast stores and places to eat or check out. They play music through the sound system, output from rocks all around with always good music selections. There's a huge Barnes and Nobles we love exploring with an attached Starbucks inside if you want to satisfy your palate. There's lots of other food places on the area, and even right across the street in the smaller shopping center. As well as Color Me Mine and some Banks. There's ample parking and people are always coming and going. So you're sure to find a decent spot. If not, the whole parking lot feels pretty closely situated and it's a nice view so I've never been bothered by a 1.5 minute walk here. If the furthest parking spot even takes that long. I've never been pushed that far on the edge. People usually walk their dogs and if they're hypoallergenic I'll ask to pet some. Met by friendly pet owner's who are happy to oblige or explain their dogs situation. I've seen some HUGE dogs there many times. Always on their leash and looking very happy to be out, never intimidating or vicious. My visits are always great and I have no complaints! Always love going back.

Being at Calabasas was such a nice experience. The entrances to the neighborhoods are so delightful and well ornamented. It's a very nice view. The community center is also a beautiful place. People were very friendly and even the security guard was friendly towards me. A lot of businesses were closed which made it a bit boring. I liked seeing people walking and eating at the restaurants. I really wish the Barnes and Noble was open but it wasn't.

This place is great, such a relaxing place to hang out, Jenni's Ice Cream is so yummy, and there's a Sugar Fish and a really fantastic theatre with reclining seats. The ambience is lovely with great water features and pretty 'Italian style' (I guess) architecture. Saturdays there's a farmers market down the main drag... Why haven't you come here yet?

They have an excellent array of places to eat and shop along with a great movie theatre. A little more high end of a place to shop, but well worth it. It's a beautiful shopping center. Parking can be a tad of a pain, but there is always parking if you don't mind a slight walk.

Its an awesome mall, though it is a little boujee at times. Corner Bakery and Barnes and Noble are great places to chill and study with some friends. There's also a fountain pond that has some tortoise and koi fish they're very cute. Plenty of parking. The constant jazz from the random speakers makes it feel like Disneyland a bit. I've been visiting the place every since I was little, it has a nice vibe and it's really clean and pretty :D

Love shopping here, getting something to eat and just walking around... It is a beautiful Shopping Center with a wide variety of chain and Specialty stores and restaurants. There is wonderful Landscaping and ample parking, also love the turtle pond! Great location and easy to get to.

Great place to have a unique dining experience, go to a vintage like newer theatre and do some shopping. Upscale and clean. There are small turtles in the fountains that kids love to look at, well let's face it so do the adults!

The movie theater and bookstore are great entertainment and places to meet with friends or go spend some me time. During these Covad days it a good place to come, bring your dog, and just walk around when you tire of walking your neighborhood streets

Quite an impressive selection of shops and restaurants. There is a central pond with turtles which the children and adults like to look at. Lots of outdoor seating. Parking gets quite congested but we always find somewhere to park. Lots of big stores with restrooms.

One of the things I love about this place is it's Frank Sinatra the frequently play over the outdoor shopping malls PA sound system. another is it's beautiful setting in which Barnes & Noble when the only bookstores left in the valley is sitting.

Great shopping and dining place. Went to the Regal Theater to see John Wick 3 and enjoyed it. Had pizza and hot wings at Fresh Brothers and the pizza was so fresh, hot and delicious. I always enjoy The Commons at Calabasas. I've been going there for over 20 years. It's worth the drive if you don't live there.

This is a great place to hang out with friends for brunch and shopping. The layout is open and inviting, with plenty of trees for shade from the heat. I had brunch at Marmalade with friends, then shopped at the large Barnes and Noble. I highly recommend this place to everyone visiting the area with their friends.

Great shopping center. Not great for errands. This place has many overpriced shops and realistically none of them are really useful. To be honest the library is the most useful place here. I love the ponds and would come just to watch the turtles peacefully swim. One time one of them even escaped onto the street! The asthetics are very nice and I enjoy the kind of cross Renaissance and modern theme. I also love the jazz music that always plays. Edwards Cinema is one of the best movie theaters around. I have one warning do not go to the fresh brothers here! I'm not sure about the other locations but I got pretty bad food poisoning when I visited. (NOT fun)

This is a very nice place to spend time for people of all ages - things to do for all. I love Commons after dark - gorgeous place, nice happy people around. Check out Barnes and Noble with free wifi, good coffee and great choice of books. The movie theater is great as well and not too crowded. Great shopping, very good food, I am sure you will have a great time here.

Nice shopping center in Calabasas and nice place to bring the kids. There are several great restaurants and there is a nice little artificial pond with turtles, which the kids love. The Commons is also walking distance to the local library, which has a great reading room for the kids. Parking is free and there is handicap accessible spots available.

Great place to hang out. Different restaurants shops, a grocery market, and a movie theater. The parking lot is shared among all the stores/businesses. Sometimes they have events going on there that can shrink the parking lot. Mixed crowds age wise but the majority were teenage kids.

If looking for movie stars is your thing, come drop by at the shopping plaza where they live. Great shops, ample parking and lots of places to sit outside eating your organic grub pretending to look uninterested at the entertainment royalty around you. The turtles basking on the sunny rocks are a reminder of a gentler era when people had time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Come for the oysters. Stay for the organic pizza.

Always very clean, attractive and safe. Kings Fish House is one of my favorite sea food places. Very happy that there is still a Barnes & Noble book store with a great selection. Enjoy the background music, watching the turtles and koi fish. The Edwards theater has been remodeled and the seating is very comfortable. Great selection of stores with friendly staff.

Want a nice place to eat, shop or catch a movie? Come here and enjoy the day or night. Great spot for a date or to bring the kids. It's a little expensive but you can imagine what they pay in rent is shockingly high. I enjoy Kings Fish House, Marmalade Cafe and more. The movie theater has great seats now. ✌️

Place has everything perfect for a teenager. You have a movie theater, shops, even a book store. You can even do your shopping here at the Ralph's. You can easily lose track of time here and do so many cool things. Definitely a great place to be.

It's ok! Service at bakery is very poor and if you are ethnic plan on getting ignored for a long time. I was seated alone but that shouldn't change service. Croissants are great & manager was nice.

This is a great place to shop. Lots of restaurants and stores. Great neighborhood. Lovely areas to sit and rest great places to eat. This area is very clean and lots of security. Also there's lots of parking. We go there quite a bit and eat at Kings. There's lots and lots of parking. And handicapped accessible areas.

Ate dinner at King's Fish House and it was delish! Our waiter was attentive and friendly. After dinner we went to Jeni's for ice cream. The 15 min wait in line & $5 per scoop were WELL worth it ~ that is the best ice cream I've Ever enjoyed!!!

Clean shopping area with a great selection of stores. The Sephora has some really wonderful and friendly staff. I frequent this shopping area at least once a week and love it! The security in the parking lot also do a really great job!

Very beautifully town with lots of hip restaurants and outdoor shopping centers. Higher end sushi restaurant like SugarFish was delicious for a date night, but not recommended for larger parties or young kids.

As long as it's maintained in the years to come. It's always a movie palace to me.The realtor took me here first 22 yrs ago come April. Man, I wish I'd bought a bigger home then - they were no developmens, but relatively inexpensive, NO, they were CHEAP :-)

Good place for hanging out. Turtles, statues, and the fountains make it a gorgeous place. Lots of trees around. Not the cheapest place, but worth the time. Worth checking out Barnes & Noble.

Glendale has Americana and the mall. Calabasas has the Commons. It is an outdoor mall filled with restaurants, boutiques, a movie theater, and grocery stores. It's a good thing they don't invite Walmart to be their tenant. You don't want all Walmart shoppers at your high class property. I would give 5 stars for unique building structures and parking space. 3 stars for entertainment. Nothing to do here unless you like to sit around sipping your coffee or drinks.

I have been coming to the Commons since it first opened. It was, in my eyes, the first community center in the area. A safe, clean and beautiful gathering place. The owner/ operator Caruso also owns/manages the Grove and the Americana. The site is always clean and there is always a security guard visible onsite walking around. Parking is ample most times of the day, though a bit of walking may be required. It has a great selection of restaurants and stores, however both can be on the pricey side. There is also a Ralphs market and CVS for daily needs. All told, it is a great place to walk around, meet with friends and family, or take a date.

I have a very complicated relationship with the commons. I like the fact that they offer so many options but unfortunately little of those options in Calabasas are actually useful. Besides Ralphs and Barnes&Nobles, I can't think of any other useful store there. I loved their gymboree store but that one closed 2 years ago and I think that cut my visits in half. It has enough parking space although it gets crazy around holidays

The Commons is perfect in everyway. It as ample parking and a beautiful turtle pond with a least 5oo turtles. Restaurants, Starbucks, Ralph's and even a public library. The only downside is if it rains there's not much to do because...it is all open, but " it never rains in sunny California."

This is a very nice shopping center. You have the Starbucks and various restaurants including a Jamba Juice and a corner bakery. There is also a Ralphs as well as a nice kitchen store. There are plenty of places to sit out as well as in because it does get hot in Calabasas in the summertime. Be aware that you might see people that you recognized here because there are people who live in Calabasas who are very well known. It is not considered good manners to acknowledge that you see these folks and you should give them the courtesy of their own privacy.

Since my son was very little we have been going to the Calabasas commons. He is now three years old and it's a nice place to go to get out of the house for an afternoon that is not a full day commitment like a zoo or when you're tired of going to the park every day. While there are plenty of stores and I'm sure everyone's experience is different… We have a routine. We start by going to Barnes and Noble where we first visit the kids room. Then he'll look at the toys section… And we and by getting a treat in the café. Next, we visit the little pond where they have tons of turtles! Literally I've counted over 100 turtles! There are also big beautiful fish, and a bunch of water fountains which is my sons favorite thing! We spent some time looking at the turtles, and then it's up to the Calabasas Library that is right up the path! We visit the kids room there and check out some books. There are you going to water fountains at the library! That's a typical visit for us! Sometimes instead of Barnes & Noble we'll go to Menchi's. I enjoyed the five at the Calabasas commons. They always play vintage Frank Sinatra style music which is pretty cool. This isn't Disneyland, but it's a place that has been bringing me back for years, so I think that alone is deserving of five stars. Enjoy! If you want to make more of a day of it, start by checking out the Leonis adobe not far away.

Beautiful Tuscan styled outdoor center with 8 restaurants, including Toscanova with happy hour everyday at the 2 indoor marble bars and the outdoor fire pit, a Pain le Quotian, 2 Starbucks, a movie theater, and shopping including Ralphs and CVS. Located halfway (by driving time not miles) between LA and Santa Barbara. Perfect place to pull off the road for a few hours when the 101 freeway slows to a stop.
