Several places I go to like FOODLAND Supermarket, Walgreens, Ben Franklin, the L&L is AWESOME. Lots of eateries and even a self storage place. Location is easy to find on corner of Kapiolani & Hayden. Parking is scarce thou depending on time you visit. Walgreens has a lower street entrance by Ben Franklin. Able to enter this marketplace from KAIMUKI High School, by Walgreens or FOODLAND. Best time to go FOODLAND be after dinner or early mornings.

They open up a check stand if busy. There are usually Employees on floor so are able to help find an item. Parking is busy with the restaurants but still spaces available. Three handicap stalls by Foodland. Known for their poke & local favorites.

my food shoppping preference place foodland not to big of grocery store there is a upper and lower section with Ben franklin on lower side has homemade craft items perfect for gift items you made need in a hurry and dont want to go to a big mall ...lots of places with prepared food a great bakery public bathrooms but youll need a code from retailers

We like Foodland in general, and this is the one in this shopping center is closest to our home. They typically have what we need, but the hot foods could be better. My daughter likes to go there to get the potato wedges and orange chicken. The last time we went, she requested that, and the food was cold. Seems like one could easily get a bacterial infection over there. The potatoes also had a funny taste. We won't be getting food from there again. I was very pleased, though, with all of the local produce we got from there on our latest trip. Oh, and the parking at the shopping center can be tight.

I'm a huge fan of Ben Franklin crafts store. Don't come unless you have minimum 2-3 hours. I could easily spend half the day here and still not see it all. You need speciality items for that craft project, baking project, coloring project, this is your one stop shop! Lifetime customer!!

Market City is a great place to go. Foodland is located there where you can get groceries or snacks. It has L&L, Duck Lee, Coffee Bean, and other eateries there. Ben Franklin Crafts is also locate there for your craft needs as well as other items that you may need. Market City is a one stop for all your needs.

Went to visit Ben Franklin's here. They had downsize a lot of their items so you might have to go to other places to find what you need. But they do have basic arts and crafts items for what you need. We were looking for a nice box for a memorial service and we were able to find something comparable but not exactly what we had envisioned. The staff are helpful and helped us locate the items we needed. All sales are final.

A great place to serve all of your shopping needs! Great selection of a variety of foods too! The best T-Mobile store as well. While you're visiting check out Gina's Korean Food as well as Cafe Kaila. After ordering your selections you will leave there smiling, happy and satiated. Lots of parking in the lot and please keep a lookout for the pedestrians and patrons walking to get to their destination's.

I always visit the top side. Great Asian restaurant and good find on meals to go. They do have a wine specialist store on bottlm side. Parking is terrible on peak times. If you can shop during none peak hours, you'll have loads of parking to choose from. Unfortunately, I am almost always there during peak hours.

Went to L&L Hawaiian BBQ, husband wanted to eat BBQ mixed plate with curry stew. The portion of teriyaki meat, hamburger and curry stew was plenty with lots of meat, carrots and potatoes in the stew

Not enough parking. Foodland selling stale and dry baked goods. Shocking. Bought carrot cake, blueberry pie, 2 cinnamon pull loafs and all were dry and hard. Shame on them. Not on sale either.

They have good food selections! Donut King and Cafe Kaila is a favorite. It's also really great that they have a Ben Franklin Craft Store in the lower parking lot. Parking sucks around dinnertime, but if you're patient then you'll get a stall lol.

Not a fancy place...but it does everything good. Handicap parking, accessible bathrooms, great restaurants and shops. Free parking. Our family has tried most of the places...upstairs and downstairs. My favorite is the bbq squid at GINA'S Korean restaurant.

Been a shopping center since the 40s! Pretty amazing. Parking is crazy here. I'm amazed I don't see a crash every time I go. Lots of independent stores. Overall, needs updating. Feels run down. But still enjoyable to go

Wonderful Foodland on the upper level, small romantic restaurant with occasional live music (Formaggio's) and quality wine store below. The only difficulty is lack of parking; you may need to park below and walk up to the top parking lot.

I love the Market City Mall because it is close by and has a Walgreens and a Foodland. There's also a great place to get breakfast (Cafe Kaila) and a nice Chinese restaurant called Duck Lee.

Lots to do here from eating to grocery shopping. Foodland is big here, great poke.. We drive very far together buy poke here. But also, lots and lots of restaurants today choose from. Ben Franklin is here as well. Lots of parking. Walgreens is here too.

Parking is bad.foodland is great only when there's sales.the restaurant's are maybe a 2 star. The duck is good breakfast is just breakfast it's only good to people who really just don't want to go anywhere else just because.

I absolutely love market city shopping center. Best Pad Thai I’ve had is from the Thai Issan and right above that is a pasta shop that’s a great hidden find. The dragon tea is great to study in! I love that they have a food land and a Walgreens in the same place so you can get errands done in one place. Gina’s BBQ is great as well.

I came here only for the Foodland to find my favorite crispy pretzel cookies. Parking here is limited and the spaces are narrow. Someone is waiting for your space as soon as you get to your car.

Some great places to eat here. Thai Issan is my favorite, they allow you to byob. There is a popular Italian (Win Spuntino), Nabeya Maido a japanese hot pot, several fast food plate lunch places(L & L, Gina's Korean Duck Lee Chinese, Sumo ramen)and a host of other eateries. Cafe Kaila's breakfast usually has a line especially on the weekends. The ONLY PROBLEM, sometimes trying to find parking can be a b**ch. between 5pm - 7:30pm and on the weekends.

Nice little neighborhood shopping center for Kaimuki-area residents. Foodland market is one of the original tenants. But parking is tight, especially the congested area in front of Foodland. I spotted a "courtesy parking notice" (aka. parking ticket) on a car that was there too long but there's still room for improvement.

A lot of local restaurants, and stop by Gina's Barbecue. Everything is cooked and prepared daily by the owners. As I was walking back from Foodland, I saw one of the owners sitting at the table filling and mandoo for the next day. They have a bunch of good stores and restaurants here now. The only downside to this shopping center is the upper parking lot, it needs to be paved. The lower lot is paved okay. The food places are pretty good.

Foodland for groceries, Walgreens has a pharmacy and anything Foodland doesn't have, Ben Franklin for your artistic side, the very popular choice of many as a cell phone carrier, T-Mobile, a handful of plate lunch places that offer Hawaiian BBQ, Korean BBQ, Curry, Chinese, etc. and the AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS Donut King for breakfast and/or dessert. And I almost forgot... For your daily pick me up, Coffee Bean.

Love this shopping center; it is one of the most useful little collections of store types & various services that I know of. 24 hour grocery shopping? Yes: Foodland. Pharmacy? Yes: Walgreens. Take out/dine in? Of course, what would you like: thai, BBQ, hawaiian, chinese, italian? There's also a Ben Franklin craft store, a T-mobile, a hair salon, a dry cleaners, Kaimuki Self Storage, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, a freaking donut shop, and lots lots more...all crammed into a pretty smallish strip mall. As for parking, traffic flow could be a lot smoother, most notably in the loop that passes in front of Foodland. But besides that the parking lot is pretty awesome: thanks to the genius placement of shade trees it's not hard to find a shaded parking stall any time of the day.

Market City is a mess. A good mess. It has Foodland (Hawaii's first super market) and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on one end and Walgreen on the other. Ben Franklin is on the Kaimuki High School side of the mall. Plenty of food place to choose from. Kaila Cafe, Gina's Korean, L&L and Sumo are my favorite.

Small gems make this shopping center great. HANDS DOWN best donuts on the island is Donut King. Always fresh, constantly baking. OR get your plate lunch fix with a huge pile of food a few doors down at Ginas. Satisfy your sweet tooth at Cafe Kaila or go shopping for last minute provisions at foodland. This place even has a craft store Ben Franklin which are a rare breed now days.

Conveniently located on the mauka end of Kapahulu Ave, offers a small assortment of businesses of various types (more than a few restaurants, groceries and convenience stores, a storage facility and a crafts store). Be aware that there's TWO levels to this Center, the upper is accessible from the front (Kapiolani side), and the lower level is in the back which can be reached via a small driveway that runs thru the middle to the back. If walking (or driving), be careful when using this driveway as its quite narrow and has a blind sharp turn.

Parking is usually easier on the Walgreens side of the lot. There are fewer stalls directly in front of Foodland and it takes longer to cycle cars through those lanes.

I like to shop at Foodland for my groceries but there's always parking problem. The matter fact I'm waiting for a spot right now as I post this. The trick is to go around back and Park down by Ben Franklin there's always spots available there.

FoodLand with nearby Walgreen's are the 2 anchor stores here at this small outdoor center. Foodland is conveniently connected inside to a Coffee Bean so you can enjoy refreshment while you shop. Don't forget your Maika'i card for local Kamaaina discounts.
