Love this stop & shop, I prefer to go to this one over all within my area. They always have good bargains, their produce is on point, their always stocked in items that you cant find in other stop & shops( like the one in the parkade). I swear their restocking procedures need to be revamped and try something that will work. Other than that this store will continue to receive my business.

The mall in general is decent. The lot is maintained better than it used to be. Lighting isn't as good as it could/should be. No security is present but I haven't heard of any issues, nonetheless be sure to lock your vehicle. It's typically busy be cautious for pedestrians in the parking lot.

It's a great plaza, anytime I'm in East Hartford I stop by. There's a great variety of shops to choose from including Stop and Shop, Rainbows, and Walgreens. You can get there by bus easily if needed from Hartford or Manchester.

This is my mother's favorite hang out because she lives in the area and enjoys driving herself still. The service is great and the employees have patience and willing to help Seniors with their bags. I appreciate them.

You can find your everyday basic needs here. Supermarket, bank, discount store, liquor store and a large clothing store (Burlington coat factory). Just outside of this local shopping center are two pharmacies in addition to the pharmacy inside the Stop & Shop and another supermarket called Aldi. This shopping center has seen better days before the local movie theater closed down. But still remains a staple for locals to fulfill their needs.

Lighting was not the best, many dark spots some right at stop signs. ALOT OF DISREPAIR, potholes should be fixed I shouldn't need to be feel like I'm playing some stunt racing game while giving my friend a ride to the store near his new apartment, just to avoid the plethora of potholes

Very nice and clean. Peaceful and relaxing. Great place to take picures. If you have any children with you aloow them to bring there bikes as the river front is children/bike-friendly. Can get alittle breezy depending on what section your at.

This is my neighborhood shopping center. So you it's going to get a good rating. Not to many stores there. But enough to get anything you may need.

This is the Charter Oak Mall, or what I can now consider the "Charter Oak Shopping Center". Believe it or not, when the mall first opened its doors in 1976, they had anchors like Stop & Shop (was located where Big Lots! is now) & Bradlees, and Stop & Shop had a MALL entrance, yes, shoppers entered through that entrance. There were other stores like RadioShack, Papa Gino's, among others. When they decided to start the major facelift for this plaza in the 90's, Stop & Shop removed the mall entrance & relocated to the other side of the plaza and eventually, the whole mall was turned into the open-air plaza. Shortly after Bradlees closed its store during their first bankruptcy in the mid-90's, Burlington Coat Factory opened in its former store. Big Lots currently occupies the former (original) Stop & Shop on the far right side. The Stop & Shop has seen a major renovation since its relocation, but that was still a long time ago (they kept its interior look from the mid-2000s and still do!). Just across from the mall, there was a Showcase Cinemas that operated for a long time before its closure in 2006. That cinema sat vacant for around 13 years before they FINALLY demolished it just this past Fall. Currently, there are stores in that plaza listed here. They are: -Stop & Shop -Big Lots! -Burlington Coat Factory (now simply Burlington) -Rainbow Shops -Kay's Wine & Spirits

It was good. The mall has BigLots, Stop&Shop, Wineshop, Burlingtons and 2 Banks - Santander & Peoples united. Near to the mall there is Walgreens, First Niagra Bank and CVS. Ample parking space available.

I like Charter Oak Mall because the Stop & Shop in East Hartford has changed their store around and there was a dollar tree in the Charter Oak Mall in East Hartford but they moved to Burnside Avenue and School Street in East Hartford formerly Rite Aid. Big Lots in East Hartford is open Monday-Saturday 9am-9pm and Sunday 10am-9pm.
