Went to home depot experience was not to bad. Looked for help finally found somebody. I've only been there a couple of times so it's helpful for somebody to ask me if I needed help. It's a big store till I get used to it I'm lost. So thanks I'll be back, prices seem fair.

I visited Jo Ann Fabrics here. Not Home Depot. Very knowledgeable help. Materials galore for sewing patterns. Best to wait for for needs when they have a sale. As a Male customer felt like, I had to pry information from sales lady. 4 stars for inventory. 0 stars for Customer Service. Seemed unfriendly Staff.

Customer service is the best !! Don't have to chase down a associates for help. Always on sales floor menards can't find associates for assistance have to chase them down I can walk bye 10 associates from menards and not one will ask me for assistance home depot is just the opposite their Customer service team is probably the best in the business!!!! Small outdoor mall, lots of empty store fronts. Stores on site are Home Depot, JoAnn Fabrics, Pets mart and other smaller businesses.

Big sale. Sales receptionist could have been more out going, try to help suggest items more since she should have recognized that I was a client definitely purchasing. Only one employee that I could tell. I received help from a customer instead of an employee. The environment felt cool and unfriendly. No rudeness, just without appreciation that clients were in the store.

Lots of business have left like Best Buy & Payless shoes but still has Home Depot, Pet's Mart, Game Stop & but definitely not least Cinco De Mayo (Mexican Restaurant)

I had to go to Southdale Shopping Center in order to go to job Workforce South West corner. they were extremely helpful as soon as I walked in the door I was worried because there was so many people there. They were able to help us almost immediately and got us right back to looking at jobs. Work force customer service is a hundred times better than it was 10 years ago!

Great selections! not much staff to assist you when you are searching for an item or you need something bulky off a high shelf but if you can hunt one down they are usually pleast.

Like many places on DM's Southside, most retailers have vacated this area. The Home Depot is still there, and that makes the trip worthwhile. You'll also find PetSmart and JoAnn's fabric store there. Both are ver specific product categories, but they both represent their categories well.

This isn't really a mall anymore and I was upset that Sears closed down. That said, they've done a lot of work to make it a respectable strip mall. There's a grocery store and a Target within....both of which are remodeled within the last year. Toys R Us is within the same complex as well as a Midas. Not the greatest side of town but I never have any issues.

What stores ARE here, are nice. I think it needs to have something to draw people in. It's saddening that JCP AND SEARS are gone, now Younkers. What's going on with everything closing??!! I dislike Internet shopping, I only use it for certain things. I like seeing things in person.

Sadly, it was booming about 25 years ago. It also had an Office Depot, Best Buy, video store, Shoe Store, Fitness Center and a ladies clothing store.

I was at Home Depot, I bought 4x8 panels of particle board and needed them cut to specific sizes to complete a project. I used to think Menard's was my go to lumberyard but they don't cut large pieces or any pieces for that matter. I had a break in a couple months ago and all my saws and power tools were stolen, so this was a huge help, Thanks Home Depot

Joannes is an excellent small store is this area, additionally is home depot and officemax. Plus, you have petco, Little Johns, and B-Bops and they are all pleasant environments to shop and eat. There is also payless shoe store, Game stop, Fazollis, and Verizon. For not to big of an area there are plenty things for everyone to shop and eat at. I enjoy this small area and visit routinely but I definitely miss Best Buy that had been there previously!

I really like this side of Des Moines. We have friendly helpful people. Everything is easy to get to and traffic is usually not a big problem : ) The city could improve on some upkeep on a few of the Streets. They seem to concentrate on and around Fluer Drive for a Face Lift every few years which is irritating as we do have more roads on the South Side that are used than just Fluer : ) I appreciate all the improvements around town not just on Fluer : ) I understand it is the Corridor from the Airport to our Lovely Downtown Des Moines : )

Since being renamed from Southridge to Southdale, the complex is more of a strip mall than a traditional mall. The Animal Rescue League and a couple churches are all that are left inside. The strip mall stores are very well kept. My wife likes to stop at Maurice's, rue 21 and target before we go to the mexican restaurant on the property. Its located close enough to home depot and gamestop that we can get shopping done for both of us in an afternoon. There is plenty of parking and is never overly crowded.

This shopping center has three strip malls and two stand alone restaurants (B-Bop's & Fazoli's). Home Depot is the anchor store here.
