Gorgeous and clean shopping center. There are many food options as well as shave ice and froyo. There is a fun water feature that my kids turned into a splash pad, I'm not sure if that's what it's for bc no other children were running through it. There was also a beautiful fire pit surrounded with a dozen chairs to sit,relax and warm up. I wish there were a few more clothing shopping stores available

This is a great movie theater in a great location. Lots of places to eat around the movie theater. The food inside the movie theater is not bad, it's a little expensive but definitely worth it. The seating in this movie theater is comfortable and the staff is exceptional.

Great for indoor outdoor fun! All the stores at your usual mall, bit they are outside down a wonderful ols school "mainstreet" feeling! Movie theater at the end... more adult stores at the beginning... tweener stores in the middle... kids shops near the end, before you reach the restaurants and movie theater for the whole family. Well designed, well patrolled, and well chosen stores as far as diversified from all ages beginning to end! If your in the area you need to check it out, especially if it's winter when they have the ice skating rink! Hope this helps and have a wonderful holiday season!

Had a wonderful walk-in pedicure by Henry. Long, comforting massage included. Very lovely surroundings. Even had black "disappearing" toilet in ladies room. Appreciated the beauty & cleanliness and also the enforced Covid precautions. Highly recommended!! Ask for Henry.

Great place to shop, dine, and walk around. So much to see and do here! There’s a Barnes and Nobel, Bath and Body Works, Nail Salon, Jamba and so much more. Check out the Lazy Dog for pet friendly dining.

This place has everything you need, every store you need, all the parking you need, all the food options you need, even has gas stations across the street, incredibly accessible via gun club, smokey hill or e470. It's my favorite one stop shopping center for just about everything shy of a new car

Fun mall, very pretty during the holidays. Sadly, many of the stores seem to be closing. Lot of kid areas and places to eat as well as a skating rink during the winter.

Our family loves Southlands!! Great restaurants, quick eats, sweet treats, and retail stores. They have free concerts and movies in the Summer, and pond ice skating and holiday parade in the Winter. Every season has something fun going on. Such a family oriented place with fountains, play structures, and pretty lights at night. They have been putting a lot of time into updating and improving, so it is only going to get better!!

So many places to shop from. Outdoor walking mall with food, candy store, movie complex and restaurants. The plethora of shopping places will have you there for hours having left with everything you could possibly want.

Great walking outdoor mall. Tons of diverse shops and restaurants. Fun city center for kids to play with water features in the summer and a ice rink in the winter. The concerts in the summer are fun and well thought out too. This outdoor mall is very large and has something for everyone.

One of the better shopping plazas! A few of my favorite features include the water fountains for the kids in the summer (a big one and smaller ones throughout), ice-skating rink in the winter, frozen yogurt, Mt. Fuji's, Legends, Beyond the Blackboard, and more!

Great outdoor mall area with cute brick walkways. Lots of food to choose from with an outdoor fire pit in the winter time and gorgeous blooms during spring/summer. Parking isn't too bad. But beware of drivers while walking across the pedestrian crosswalks because they're not keen on giving you the rightaway. Also a fun location for photo ops. As seen in my photo, great place for a simple photoshoot.

This is a great outdoor mall that has a little of everything! It has a theatre, lots of cafes and restaurants, clothing stores, a Barnes and Noble, and specialty shops. It is a fantastic place to go on a beautiful day to grab some ice cream or a coffee and just wander around.

A mall that understands that I don't want to follow my wife around all-day, and provides me with a chair and a fire to warm marshmallows on. Could probably cook some kebabs, if so inclined. Ideally they should add a beer concession at some point, but I won't hold its current absence against them.

I have been going to Southlands since about 2008! I have watched it grow and change! I love this shopping center! It's got such a great atmosphere for walking and shopping and a really great selection of stores. It's really big so you'll have to choose to walk the outdoor shopping mall or drive to the outlying big stores such as Wal-Mart, Sam's Club or Best Buy. One of the best parts of Southlands is that they also have events and they turn their main gathering place in front of the movie theater into a skating rink during winter months!

Southlands is a unique outdoor style mall. It has all the same shops as an indoor mall but with outdoor attractions such as the ice skating rink in the winter and other festivals and activities in the summer months. Free and easy parking is along the outer parameters with a quick walk to the all main shops and locations. Come see and shop today!

The store itself was well kept and stocked - even many of the staff where respectful and helpful, but there were a few associates, including a manager who was very rude when faced with a discrepancy. I did my very best to conduct myself professionally but that did not stop this manager from taking his stress out on me. Ill probably be staying away from this Best Buy from now on.

During the winter, The Pond is changed into an ice rink. Great idea but the company that they use to staff the place is terrible. I took a photo of one person who was more interested in playing hockey with his friend rather than do his job.

Outdoor shopping center with name brands typically found in indoor malls. None of the major department stores like Macy's, Dillard's, JCPenny's, Nordstrom's or Lord & Taylor's but you will find H&M, Bath & Body Works, and Victoria's Secrets.

Nice enough mall. Spread out design, and not really a walking mall. You need a car to get from 1 end to the other. They keep it clean and it's pretty cool at Christmas time, with the music and the skating rink, when open. Lots of variety on stores and food. Nice farmer's market on weekends.

Nice shops, clean, a little something for everyone including a movie theater. The outdoor mall reminds me of malls in San Diego, but nicer. During the holidays it is amazingly decorated, including an actual in store meet n greet Santa(photos optional). Just very festive. Parking is easy to access, free & plenty parking spaces even during holiday season! Would recommend!

We went to Olive Garden. We were there about 4:45. No trouble getting a table. When we left there was a line waiting for a table. Food was good. They have redone the menu. They have a $5.00 deal. You can bring home 1 of 3 meals for $5.00. We took them up on that deal.

Was here Thanksgiving late afternoon. Nothing was open but Ted's Montana Grill. They were doing to-go dinners, but turned on the heat lamp outside on their patio. We ended up eating out there. Only one other young man eating alone at there. Wasn't bad, food was great. Was nice to be out.

Our service and food were both excellent! We had a larger group which did not effect the quality of our service. Our server opened by asking if we happened to be celebrating anything. We were actually celebrating a birthday which she referenced kindly throughout our meal. After dinner she brought over a complimentary dessert with spoons enough to share with the whole group. Friendly, server and staff from start to finish.

Lots of stores to choose from. Mall feeling to it in the center, yet very open and spacious. During the summer this is a great place to shop, grub, and have entertainment! I enjoy it here and it's very convenient. You can go to your favorite restaurants, or grab a small snack. Shop at Walmart, Forever 21, or Best Buy all in one in one spot!

Very nice outdoor shopping center. Best movie theater. Nice vibe. If it has the stores you need, it is worth a visit. Besides the normal stores, we like the toy store here, electric bike store, and the candy store. Lots of great food options too. Ice skating in the winter is great also.

I love having a shopping center so close to home. I enjoy the ambiance of the outdoor mall. I like the fact that no matter where I am at, there is security present, making sure cars aren't getting broken into, no one is using illegal substances in the breezeways and everyone is free to enjoy themselves.

Really beautiful shopping mall with great food and clothing options. They have a public restroom which was clean and well stocked! The Pokemon spawn like mad and the stores are affordable so there is something for everyone! Would go more often if I lived near. Loved it here.

Why 4/5 instead of 5/5? 1. Getting around Southlands can be a bit challenging at times with all of the people. Not sure how it could/should have been laid out differently though. 2. Also, I grew up not far from Southlands and remember when it used to be a field of sunflowers. On the other side of Smoky Hill Road was an old growth pine forest that was clear cut to bring 470 through. I'm glad that the stores and shops are there, and yet I'm sometimes thinking of those things when visiting shops and stores at Southland, and it makes the experience a little bittersweet or melancholy. Overall, there are a good selection of stores and restaurants here, and I think it's well cared for. Just hard to give it 5/5 because of my own awareness of what used to be.

We love Southlands. It is a great place to shop or to enjoy an evening stroll. Southlands also hosts variety of community events and has several great play areas for kids. For those Pokémon lovers, there are also lots of Pokémon stops and of course free WiFi!

Nice outdoor "mall", has our favorite movie theater, plenty of food, restaurant & bar options and shops. Concerts in the summer, ice skating in the winter, a refreshing change from the indoor malls. Parking can be an issue at times, but that's to be expected.

Am open air mall with just about anything you could want. There are plenty of specialty stores as well as Walmart, Sam's Club, Best Buy, etc. The movie theater is nice, and the park in front hosts different events like live music, an ice skating rink, a farmer's market, or just a place to play (With a splash pad) depending on the time of year. We spend plenty of time here and are glad to have it down the road.

Although things are subject to change, my overall enjoyment here has been really nice. So much stores and things to do, a nice trip with your friends will do. There was one store that I haven't been to, the Cookie store. After I passed it the aroma was magical. Would recommend a stop there.

I’ve had several great experiences here, with basically every shop. The one that really sticks out to me was when I decided to do some last second Christmas shopping. I meandered the mall and decided, you know what, a drink at Bar Louie’s would be great for this process. Meanwhile some folks there were talking about Star Wars, so then I decided to grab the one seat left at the theater. It was a great experience, and I ended up getting everything I needed before shoe time. Fun day, highly recommend procrastinating.

Love the way this mall is set up. I wish there were better stores, honestly, but I don't think that warrants a markdown in stars. Outdoor malls are few and far between, and from someone from California, I only saw 1 before I came out to Colorado in 2006.

A good selection of stores. Nice outdoor mall, but be prepared for lots of walking (both uphill and down). Some of the outlying stores are spread out so you may want to park in one of the lots instead of on the main strip. A bonus is the Wal-Mart and Sam's Club on the same property

Sometimes the parking is bad on busy days but I do love all the variety of shops. From theatre, fine dining, fast food, cookies, clothing, and homemade crafts. On a nice day it’s good to take the family out on a stroll along Main Street where they throw a lot of events for everyone to enjoy.

Always amazing.. Tons of places for entertainment, shopping (arranging from shoes, clothing, candles, bikes etc) , eating, walking around.. They have a fire pit area to keep you warm and cozy if you're shopping during the winter hours. You have a Walmart, TJ Max etc. Santa comes during Christmas and the have a ice skating area....You name it they have it. It's truly a one stop shop.. Food arranges from fancy sit down to Sports bar type of deal. You need it they got it. Always very clean. I forgot to mention they have also have Dentist offices "Dr Ginther is the best" etc... Again a must visit. My only issue is traffic and parking. Please drive slow because people come out of every direction. But really there is plenty, bring your walking shoes..

It’s gone down a star because so many stores keep closing. It was a great idea, and I loved it in the early days. It could be a low visibility issue. Maybe if it had been a bigger plan like The Orchards, it would be better.

The mall doesn't do it for me, but I think the young people really like it, my daughter certainly does. There is a decent selection of retail stores to choose from however, I would not drive all the way out to where they are from my home just to go to those stores, you can find those shops at any other Mall. The movie theater is way too expensive as well as their menu. The Mall is clean, and well maintained.

Southlands offers a variety of stores to shop as well as some great eateries and bars. Great place to hangout, it's a new style outdoor mall scattered over many acres and considered the largest outdoor mall in Colorado. In summer there are weekly concerts in the mid area and this same area is turned into a skating rink for the winter. Families take advantage of the free concerts and it's a happy place to hangout.

One of my favorite places to go. It's very well maintained, and there's so many stores to shop from as well as so many restaurants to eat at. I would highly suggest you try Monsoon if you are into Indian cuisine. They are top notch. There's a giant fire pit that has Adirondack chairs you can sit in. In the summer, there is a water display for the kiddos to play in that turns into an ice skating rink in the winter. Very nice place.

A very well thought out, outdoor mall. We like to come here for dinner and dessert. In the winter, it's set up with lights and looks amazing. In the summer there is a giant water system in the center that kids can play in. I highly recommend coming over here, and checking out some of the stores.

A lovely outdoor strip mall. Upper middle class shops and dining. They feature fountains in warm months and skating rinks in the cold ones. Beautifully lit at night especially near holidays. And lots of pokestops.

This "mall" has everything you need. It's like it's own little colony. Dining, entertainment, shopping, auto stores, you name it. Great place to take the family, kid friendly. Parking can be a little hectic, but that just causes you to get out and walk around and experience everything there is to offer. So much fun!!

I go to the movies here a lot because they have very comfortable seats at the AMC theater. Southlands has a decent amount of stores which are all outside. You can end up doing a lot of walking, which can be good or bad depending on the weather and other various factors. There’s ice skating in the winter time which is fun. I would recommend this place to someone whom doesn’t mind walking and being outside.

One of the best malls in Colorado! The main street is darling with Christmas decorations like a wooden reindeer. They have fire pits by the AMC movie theater with chairs that you can gather around to keep warm this winter! This mall definitely put me in the Christmas spirit.

This mall has lots of shopping and restaurant options. Sometimes we like going to walk around and see what stores are offering. We always like going into the Tesla store. And the dining options are great, they recently added a Fogo, and if you like steak, that's the place to go.

In reviewing the entire mall, it has great staff, and good selection of places to shop if you are new to the area. However, for those of us who lived in the area before the outdoor mall opened, it offers nothing new and on top of that, Gucci cakes moved out two years ago and the only thing left that can still leave me and my spouse happy is the theater with the reclining seats. I wish that there were more to do there. Add a Dave & Busters location or bowling location around the Southlands site and maybe we locals will find it new and entertaining enough to come back again besides for office supply runs at officemax.

My favorite theater in Aurora. They used to have Coffee Milkshakes but they got rid of those - it was one of the big reasons I went, so I pulled a star back... It was literally worth a star. Great and quick staff from the cooks to the box office. Best recliners as well and they always have a good amount of open seats.

A year ago I would given the theatre 5 stars but unfortunately the service inside has gone down a lot. The ticket scanners have very little personality especially for being the first person to represent the theatre. There is one exception, Julie. She always greets you with a welcoming smile and greeting. Ordering food takes forever and even a simple order is gotten wrong. It's very frustrating.

Definitely a place you can go with your friend's, wife/ significant other, kids or alone. There is plenty to do such as ice skating, movies, pretzel place, restaurant's, from fancy, take out, or sit down, even to go watch a game. The parking is touch and go, but definitely a place to stop and shop.

Southlands Mall is so beautiful this Christmas season! All lit up like a Christmas winter wonderland. A skating rink where giggles and laughter can be heard. Beautiful fire pits and lounging chairs everywhere, inviting you to sit, relax and enjoy!

The outdoor areas are usually very nice and provide additional entertainment. Play area for small kids, fountain (or ice rink) available near the frozen yogurt shop. Plenty of places to eat and an independent coffee house. Good place to walk or pick up groceries at Sam's or Wal-Mart as well.

Love Southlands Mall! There are stores for your every need. Some really great restaurants and desert places. During the summer there are concerts and activities in the courtyard along with a Farmers Market. This is my favorite area to shop, eat, see a movie, and let the kiddo play. There is a playground most of the year, and ice rink in the winter, and a fun splash pad in the summer!

I've been going to Southlands since it was first built. Parking has always been the same, not the best and not the worst. The only thing that isn't the best here is stores are always changing. The turnover is insane here and there are either many empty buildings or new businesses are showing up. The mall is well taken care of and bathrooms are always clean.

It would be nice to see a Which Wich, Pei Wei, or a Whole Foods. Otherwise, everything you need is either within the property itself, or very nearby. The area is usually not as busy since it is further from the city. It's a bit of a drive southeast, but for those reasons, its usually worth it.

It's a lovely place to walk around with your family and friends. Day time is great with the family and shopping, you can catch a movie and walk around and look at the sculptors and fountains. Evening is great for date nights or girls night there's so many great restaurants and bars, and again, the movies. It's a great safe atmosphere. They have the ice rink in the winter and in the summer the concert series. sing there's a lot to do. My one complaint and why I just can't give them that last star is because there is a serious lack of disabled parking, or disabled parking in reasonable locations.

If going to Southlands stop at Old Chicago for a $5 pizza and beer (happy hours are Great) - Old Chicago closed prior to the 2020 pandemic and in its place Buffalo Wild Wings has opened across the Square - two of the original restaurants (On The Border and Chili's) are still open and doing Well - On The Border still has Happy Hour Specials worth checking out.

Nice outdoor mall, with A lot of shopping variety, and a fantastic movie theater. One of the last Walmarts to be open 24hrs is here also. Even had it open hotel. The area is nice, and sometimes the people can be a bit stuck up, but that's fairly rate still.

Entertaining place for the family. My only complaint is that the cinemas a have exclusive parking and it's quite a walk in freezing winter temperatures to the theatre's. Otherwise, a good place with shops, restaurants, and entertainment for some good clean family fun.

Southlands is basically a huge self contained "town" built strictly of pretty much of every retail store you've heard of, surrounded by housing developments and even more retail stores. Fast food chains, WalMart, hotel, Barnes and Nobel, Sam's Club, wireless stores, and on and on. No charm at all, but I guess it's convenient for those who live in Aurora or people visiting from out of town.

Security people here are AWESOME! My car battery died at almost 11pm tonight in the parking lot of Lazy Dog. A family member drove over to help me, but a security officer happened to drive by and saw me with the hood of my car up. He stopped and waited with me 10+ minutes until my car was running. This is a nice place to visit. It has reasonably- priced stores, is clean. My friend and I went to PF Chang's, which didn't disappoint. I had Lo Mein and he had Sichuan Beef. Even though I've been to several PF Chang's, I've always had their chicken lettuce wraps because I fell in love with them, so this was the first time I chose something different from the menu, and it was delicious. Make sure you go earlier than peak time-I went back in later (@ 7p) and the place was very busy!

Visionworks - The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly I've been to 3 different VW locations over the last 10 years or so and choose to go back to this location. I would say the ugly is the wait. If you don't have time to wait, be careful because there is almost time waiting around at some point even with an appointment. You can get in on time but will wait to see someone after seeing the eye doctor. Now, the 'bad' - well, it might seem like the 2 for $59/$99 special is too good to be true. Please know there will be other charges added and your bill will come out higher. Bur face facts, these glasses are going to be on your face, help you see for at least a year or maybe more. The good are the people. The are wonderful, knowledgeable ready to help you with any issue. Need you glasses tightened or lost nose piece, they're pleased to help you out. Yes, top-notch people work at this store.

I've been living out here long before Southlands was ever built, and the fact that a lot of the shops look like they've been there for a long while shows how cheaply they were made. Also, having worked at a couple of places there, I can also tell you that the sewer systems were just as cheaply slapped together as the buildings. It's a cute shopping area, too bad the builders were too focused on the money and not the quality and durability of the buildings. That includes the cheap housing slapped up around it to squeeze every last penny they could from the morons duped by a shiny coat of paint moving in there.

Southlands is an open shopping area with a main Street loved by walkers (and the hill makes it good for you). Beautifully designed and kept immaculate it is filled with laughing people, great places to eat or sit for an ice cream or coffee, or even shop. Southlands is a great place to shop, their seasonal outdoor activities (ice skating, fountains) are great for kids and adults. Its a great place to 'mall walk' during nice weather. The place is also brimming with Poke-stops if you happen to still use the Pokemon app. The only draw back for me is Parking. There is Ample parking in general, but if you happen to be there on a weekend night, expect to cross a street or two on foot. This really only poses a problem when we're going to movies with the elder members of the family. Overall, though, I definitely prefer this Mall to others in the area.

Outdoor shopping mall located in southern Denver. Super safe with lots of choices for restaurants. Apparel stores are limited in choice, but a mix of everything exists. They have special events such as outdoor ice skating in the winter and music festivals in the summer.

One stop shopping at an outdoor strip mall. You can find pretty much anything here, although I recommend The Local to everyone. It's where local vendors sell their goods. From homemade ice cream, honey, bbq sauce, cheese curds and butcher style cuts of bison to unique clothing, bird houses, home decor, jewelry and much more, you can find a perfect gift for anyone-including yourself here.

Although I live closer to Iliff & Tower, I go to the amenities in Southlands because the area is cleaner than the amenities around my home. Because it's cleaner, the atmosphere in the area feels better. The problem that I have is that it can get so busy there that traffic actually builds up within intersections; it can get harder to find parking spots near the shop you want to go; and there are more chances to get into fender benders.

Southlands is a convenient, clean, and safe mall that has not disappointed me yet.

There are plenty of places to go while down here! Eat, sleep, shop and even play depending on the time of the year. They have an ice skating rink during tje winter and farmer's market during the summers. You can literally spend all day down here doing something or the other with the amount of places in the area.

We like this little square in front of the movie theatre. But they need to replace this plastic grass next season of put some shades to cover it up. It is impossible to come there and play when sun is out. This grass gets too hot and It feels like this plastic would melt into my daughter's shoes sometimes.

Not thrilled with these open shopping centers. Parking is difficult to find and there's lots of walking if your visiting more than one store or you have to drive and find multiple parking spaces. It's also difficult to find stores unless you have a map, which I picked up this visit - hope it helps.

I like most of what Southlands has to offer. The one super negative is the lack of meaningful accessibility for people in wheelchairs; this is doubly sad because RTD has a stop right outside of the Walmart. From that bus stop anyone in a wheelchair must begin looking for accessible routes; for those who can walk this is easy, for those in chairs it's a matter of going out of their way to get anywhere; many times the only way to avoid a time consuming detour is to travel through a parking lot; I wouldn't want someone I care about to have to do that. At one point (wish I had a pic) on the 'accessible' sidewalk across from Chipotle, the street light blocks accessibility to that sidewalk. Many business areas off the main street have sidewalks on only 3 sides meaning that someone in a wheelchair has a significant detour to accessing the businesses; an example is the area where Del Taco is located (take a look sometime and imagine getting in there in a wheelchair). Southlands is a great place to be for people who can walk; even with a stroller a parent can take their child out & walk up landscaping to avoid lengthy detours. When wheels are how you get around, it's frustrating & time consuming.
