Reviews of Westgate Regional Shopping Center
Enjoyed shopping at Earthfare and having lunch with a friend at their food bar. Great variety of bulk organic foods and specialty products.
Went to Tuesday Morning to look for a new bed cover and was impressed by the changes the store had made. Employees were very friendly and helpful.
Great shopping mall with a variety of dining options, shopping centers, and a CVS for your medical/household needs. Plenty of parking.
Great place to go shopping in all the places here, go and look at these shops, excellent place to shop for variety of reasons
Glad to see Earthfare was able to open back up. They've always had very nice and wonderful people working there beside the food they serve and sell. Service with a smile forget that. More like service with a Beautiful Smile. And Great customer service you can count on every visit. Keep doing what your doing your Fabulous. Thanks so much. My name is

Cleaning up the streets, sidewalks, parking areas and sidewalks in downtown Asheville. It's a gift not to just one of you. It's a gift from Jesus Christ through me for you, everyone, anybody and someone. Improvement, produce change and be all you strive to be, maybe even renew ones Hope or evening a Smile. Most of all if not just one. Save Someone's Life. It's hard work for me most of the time, but I have to say with no doubt. It's worth it. God Cares and He Love each one of you. Never forget this ! Earth Fare. What a fantastic store! The store is very well organized and clean. The employees are attentive, very nice and helpful.
Reviewing shopping centers is not one of my favorites. This one is conveniently located to me and over my whole life that I can remember it has been there. I'm 56. I don't frequently visit it but when I have the experiences have been fine. A little tricky to get to and navigate the parking lot drive way. Over these years shops have as expected come and gone. Some good some not.
If you have a sherpa, a team of sled dogs and a spotter plane you just might be able to find this little strip mall. Better accessibility would make the businesses here boom, as there are a couple excellent destinations in Westgate. My favorite is Earth Fare, a large, funky, healthy, organic food store that has been around for years, well-known by locals and unheard of by everyone else. They also have an entire section of organic remedies and a deli where you can order healthy food selections, organic, fair trade coffee and other treats. Another local favorite spot here is Cowboys Mexican Grill, though I haven't tried it yet, and as a result, can't review. Now that I have my sherpa and spotter plane I will be a regular at Earth Fare. Highly recommend!
Warning!: the ramp leading into the plaza under the bridge from the of ramp has severely huge pot holes damaging to your vehicles front end, rims, and there is no way to see or dodge any of them on the way in - motorcyclists beware! Though there's more stores and each place in the plaza is newer and nicer than when I was was a kid. Same place better atmosphere all the way around as well.
I ordered take out from Oriental Pavilion a few days ago, and it still is the best oriental food bar none over any other we have had! I love them! My only complaint is the egg drop soup was not good at all which is not like them at all! It was down right awful! I know what they usually serve or I would not return but they usually are the best I have had. Everything else was spot on. We had steamed dumplings, fried wings, shrimp fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken with vegetable fried rice and egg roll, and the egg drop soup. It was overall delicious!!!
It’s a shopping center so there’s many different stores there, not much else to say.
Nice clean parking lot. For an older strip like mall
Had to stop by for some stuff. Staff friendly and knowledgeable
My second home. Everyone at all the shops are awesome.
Cowboys Mexican grill in Westgate -
Best authentic (absolutely delicious) Mexican food in Asheville! Beautifully decorated and open atmosphere. Amazing staff, superior service. Will be returning weekly!
Not too huge of a center and a nice variety but these are actually pictures of the old Greenleaf natural foods store that Whole Foods is in the process of taking over.
Gets busy at times but they have plenty of parking. One of my favorite places to browse and shop is the frugal backpacker. They have some really good deals for outdoors minded people. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of other shops there as well. If this was helpful, please hit the thumbs up like.
Loved Tuesday morning. A bit of a mess on certain isles. Excused due to being so busy, the employees were very polite and working hard to put stuff out while barely being able move due to the crowd. Great prices, it reminds me of a mini Ross.
When I walked in I was greeted. There was a small wait time with a few people ahead of me. However the line moved quickly. Everyone was really friendly. Once I got to the counter, Kevin welcomed me with a smile, and blew me away with his knowledge, smile, and genuine customer service skills. I can't wait to be able to go back again and work with him.
I've never had a problem with parking or navigating through such a large plaza. I generally only come here to complete Instacart orders at Earth Fare.
They have a lot of selections. I've never tried any of the deli or to go foods but it looks good. I love the grass fed beef! If you've never been in here I suggest you check it out.
Tuesday morning has a wide selection of quality household products, Earth fare is equally as nice, very clean and amazing inventory.
Find anything you need in this shopping center with grocery, retail, pharmacy, computers, homegoods, and cosmetic services this is truly a one stop shop. Very convenient for people who use the bus, routes W5 WE1 WE2 service this shopping center making it an accessible destination for anyone.
Plenty of good stores and accessible parking, few sketchy people, very easy to access (has an actual highway offramp for this specifically) nice view of the river. Wish it had a couple more nice places to eat food outside, but that's my only complaint against the shopping center as a whole.
Spent a month here and miss it when I'm gone.
Earth Fare remodeled and open is better than before closing. The new floor keeps it light and feels expansive. Same excellent products. Masks required, very clean.
For all your healthy living needs. Wish they would not use Canola oil in the restaurant food and made their bread with organic products. I really like the coupons they give at the register if you have the healthy rewards program.
Love Earthfare-so happy when it re-opened-prefer it to Whole Foods where too many natural & homeopathic remedies have been eliminated (I personally BOYCOTT Amazon) -calling ahead to have products held in Earthfare wellness dept is a great help to ensure availability-great that so many employees were able to return-familiar faces and caring Service is comforting-
It really has developed in a positive way since I was there last, & received a Great Hair Cut @GreatClips
A shopping center that has came back to life. A mix of food places plus a big natural foods type grocery store. A hotel sits in the parking lot with a hair cutting place in another out parcel. Stay at the hotel and walk (literally a few steps) to these amenities.
Great meeting place. We enjoyed Cowboys Mexican Grill.
nothing really special about this shopping center. The parking lot is not bad and there are several good stores like Earth Fare. There is a CVS at one end and plenty of parking for everyone. Getting there can be tricky depending on the direction you are coming from.
Great shopping center lots of different businesses can't fit em all in now
Earth Fare, Tuesday Morning, CVS, what more do you need? OK, there's also the Green Sage Cafe, Oriental Pavilion, a used clothing store, a sandwich shop, and a frozen yogurt place. Does that cover it? At the far end of the lot, away from the buildings but right by one of the two entrances, is an area commonly used for people to meet up and carpool to hiking destinations and other activities in the area. That's pretty much it.
Went to Plato’s closet bought two beautiful coats and then while waiting had my prescription filled at the CVS. The CVS was super small but filled with friendly staff. Service for both locations was fast and friendly.
Enjoy it while you can... The new I26 connector is gonna be coming through there any day now... Lol, that's what they told us in 2000. I go there for the great clips and the Jersey Mike's. Used to I'd go there for the Earth Fare but it's closing now.
Always changing , went there to eat. Will not recommend the Mexican restaurant Bronco's. To be just opened for business the could have done alot better than what they did.
I like it very because it has few stores. Not a large mall. Tuesday Morning is very nice. CVS and a few eateries and yogurt available. Sharp Cuts and grocery store. Easy in and out.
Staff was friendly and helpful, room was decent, dinner was very good, brunch buffet had a big selection but some of the food was noticeably old, like leftovers made into something else, kinda dried out, just not super fresh. All in all it was a good experience
It has quite a few little stores and but we went over there for Jason's Deli a good place to eat get a half a sandwich super got a big salad bar just about food for anybody then as you finish your dinner you got an ice cream bar that they give you it's a nice shopping center but Jason's is a good place to eat
Lots of interesting business but a bit tricky to find if you are new to the area.
Nice selection of shops.
Went to Earth Fare. We really enjoyed it. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Good selection and prices. Found what we were looking for and much more.
Plato's Closet, Rite Aid or Walgreen's?, Shopping food and clothes, Frugal Backpack, and a Whole Foods I think? There's also Eblen Charities and places to eat! Jason's Deli I think is there too. Sorry I haven't been to West gate a lot but I'm sure they have a detailed list of the stores there. Either way, I have never had a parking issue, the area seems to always be tidy and good interactions with employees from each place I have been to within the Westgate Shopping Center. Happy Shopping!
I've been to alot of different tuesday mornings and alot were in other states. I love tuesday morning for their crafts mostly. Tuesday morning in west Asheville has awesome customer service and they get to know you.. this one is my favorite by far!!
Westgate Shopping Center has modernized for the better over the last ten years. I also think it is much more accessible by handicapped people. Great businesses and an Earth Fare lend to a health-conscious ambience.
People aren't masking again at Earthfare. So pathetic. Hot bar still terrible but grocery is great.
We went looking for a few things and found most of them at the Tuesday Morning location. Prices were reasonable and quality was good.
Cool shops in here as well as a few eateries. Earth Fare has a great selection of local beers for any visitors who want to stop in and try a few, before heading to the brewery downtown (don't drive while intoxicated, that's not what I meant) :-) I like the location of this shopping center but it can be tricky getting back onto I-240 East (at the back of the shopping center parking lot is a road that looks like it is taking you down to the river that is actually the way to get back on I-240 East and back onto Patton to head into Asheville). The shopping center could use a face-lift and can feel a little "shifty" after dark.
Thanks for reading and remember to let me know if what I shared was helpful with a thumbs up!
The Westgate regional shopping center, just west of the river from Asheville, is worth visiting just for the views.
It is one of the high spots in the whole Asheville area, and if you go to the far right corner behind the Earth Fare store, the land drops away (through fabulous vegetation) and gives you great views of the downtown and the sacred French Broad River.
Before the trees got their leaves, you could also see the train tracks and the newly developed Riverside Drive nightlife area with the fabulous Salvage Station music club (which has a huge outdoor area for lounging, eating, drinking and outdoor music shows - of which they boast maybe the best calendar in Asheville, or at least close to Asheville’s famous old club, the Orange Peel) and the wonderful White Duck Taco (with its terrific outdoor seating).
If you have a dog - or even a self with a body - to walk, I recommend making a loop around the whole strip mall. As with so many country strip malls, the area behind the store has some real wild country - including the typical batch of feral cats.
Plato's closet has rude employees and overpriced used clothes. And WAY too much stuff to sort through, you get lost in dirty clothes and the people who should help are eyeing you like your stealing! No discounts on torn items either !
I did an internet search for bandages and a waterproof protector for a Cast while showering. This particular CVS location had this kind of specialized items in stock
Various stores, restaurants and conveniently located. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible. Lots of things to see and do here. Asheville is a great place to visit as well as find what your looking for. Recommended!
Only reason to visit here is Earthfare. Great store, clean and orderly with friendly employees and a store manager who really does care. Best grocery store for healthy clean foods.
Earth Fare is my favorite grocery store due to their wide variety, large bulk foods section, excellent fresh meat and fish selection with many local foods options. The restaurant offers a buffet as well as pizza, fresh-made sandwiches, and a deli. They also have a large cheese bar, beer and wine section, and nature's pharmacy.
The shopping center also offers a UPS store, outdoor gear shop, housewares store, CVS, Oriental food restaurant, a natural foods restaurant, frozen yogurt shop, and sandwich deli.
For out-of-towners, Finding the entrance and exit for this mall can be tricky since it is on the north side of the Patton Ave bridge so be sure to look at the map carefully before you drive there so you know what to expect.
Great spot for a quick bite, shopping & more... I use this spot as a park & ride! Security walks the premises too.
Stopped here to send a Amazon return package. Long line but everyone was staying 6 feet apart. That impressed me.
There is a variety of places in the shopping center l visit from time to time. I am one who likes to browse around when I have a chance and always looking for things l need. There is enough places there that I have bought good quality items.
Big parking lot, great visibility in getting around. If you come up toward the long arm of the strip (facing CVS, UPS, Plato's Closet, Asian restaurant, Frugal Backpacker, etc.) there can be blindspots. Also, that access road in front of those stores is wicked difficult to cross as a pedestrian!
So, two delicious restaurants besides Jason's Deli, a frozen yogurt store and the salad/hot bar inside Earth Fare... pretty good taste buds coverage!! Great secondhand clothing finds at Plato's Closet for terrific prices and outdoor goods top to toes a tad pricier at Frugal Backpacker. Super UPS store, wonderful clerks! Tuesday Morning has super new treasures to find at amazing prices! Of the other stores, I know not.
Nice little Plaza with a variety of shops
Earthfare re-opened, but limited selection of items; not as many as before bankruptcy. Green Sage is excellent but hours limited to 8:00-4:00.
Love Earth Fare, our favorite
Also love Green Sage Cafe, Chinese restaurant makes a great fried brown rice with tofu and veggies
Opening: 1956
My family only all times went to shopping center. So nice place, very old shopping. 💜 …
They have a great grocery/health food store, a nice restaurant or two and a discount store for home goods. Those are the places I go to when I go there anyway. I like two of the restaurants there. Green sage and Oriental pavilion.
Love finding a bargain--& things you don't find everywhere. Paid 1/2 of what thunder shirts for dogs cost at pet store. Got blackout curtains, applets & cotletts! German gingerbread!
Only went into Fresh Market. Staying at the Radisson Country Inn. Really disappointed that the deli was closed, really the only place in walking distance to eat.
Hard to get into and out of. Roads a mess, have almost gotten hit a few times here.
A shopping center in between downtown Asheville and west Asheville; right off the highway (I 240). This exit can be a little tricky getting on/ off the highway. As far as the shopping goes, a decent selection of establishments. Earthfare; grocery store (their original location), great clips, a Chinese restaurant, sandwich shop, home decoration store (Tuesday morning), Plato's closet (buy/sell used clothing), etc. A huge parking lot so parking shouldn't be an issue.
So this placing is looking up now with the addition of the new YMCA that has recently opened up here. I was convinced that this place was destined to be a ghost town once the new Ingles opened up across the street at which time the only anchor in this plaza was the thing Food Lion. Happy to see it thriving.
Earth Fare has great customer service & sales for most needed items, will sometimes write rain checks, has name brand items organic everything & loyalty points.
I love this store. Necessary for my mental health. Bought supplies for college kid care package.
Want to get your hair cut while your significant other is shopping? How about grab a sandwich? There are plenty of great places to shop and get the things you need and it's really close to the interstate. If you're traveling to Asheville then you can stay in the hotel. You are in walking distance to shops restaurants and other places you may need or want to shop at. A really good shopping strip that has a lot to offer and is right in the center of west Asheville. Not 2 minutes driving from downtown.
Disappointed that Earthfare only offered military or senior discounts one day a week each - Sunday & Monday. I'm a senior & a veteran every day.
Cute little area with an array of stores and eateries. Easy access off of 25. Just lock your car!
Was so cute. Had some really pretty home decor at ok price. People was nice that's always a pluss in my book.
Nice little mall, very clean, the outside can be very misleading
UPS is my main stop here. Seems like I'm always sending something out. Too bad Earth Fare closed, though, they were my favorite health food and supplement store!
Few awesome shopps. Ice cream place rocks.
Awesome place to find everything fresh organic . Good service
It was good that we were able to buy lunch and eat in the cafeteria inside of supermarket that it is located behind the hotel where we are staying for 2 nights.
Went shopping at Tuesday Morning and got some school supplies for kindergarten. Daughter needed a yoga mat!
You have to watch expire dates, but variety is excellent.
Westgate Shopping Center has a lot of different retail store fronts and restaurant options. There is a local organic grocery store called Earth fair, a Jason's Deli, a frozen yogurt place, along with a UPS Store, a used clothing store, and other stores. There is a lot of parking in the shopping center but the shopping center is normally crowded. The shopping center is located off of the I-240, Patton Ave, and 1-26 interceting bridge which gets very congested during rush hour traffic.
Great lot!
Great shops!
Access is a little crazy depending on the manner of approach.
Well lit, well marked, easy back out!
Older shopping center but has a nice stores
Seems to be stagnate and dirty.
Took a friend to get hair cut an was pleased by the job he got by the workers
This shopping center has so many spots I can use. The Y, groceries, Walgreens, thrift, yarn, cigars, nails, Wells Fargo, Chinese food...
Earth Fair is an amazing natural/ health food store
We were only in the parking lot. We were buying welding tanks from a pretty hot chick (for up here)
Good collection of shops
Tuesday morning is my favorite place to grab ocean scented candles
We need some stuff for our car ride home 11 hours of driving. Earth fair was open and was clean with lovely staff
Like a hidden gem, Westgate has survived generations of Asheville stores and shoppers. We come here for Tuesday mornings, but there are also many other great shops.
Ample parking. Meal Barrel is great if you are trying to bulk up.
I like Great Clips. However, the parking lot leaves a lot to desire. Always looks deserted and dirty.
This regional shopping center is the greatest regional shopping center of them all. If you need computers or food or UPS or overpriced second-hand clothes, Westgate regional shopping center is the regional shopping center you wanna make time to visit.
Tuesday Morning is a great store for different type of items.
Restaurant there was delivery only. Several other shops seem to be closed.
Decent plaza. Always has parking available.
Nice little shopping plaza, with Earth fare being the best organic food grocery store around! Also, UPS and another nice restaurant - Green Sage!
Love Tursday Morning, there is always something new to see. Green Sage Cafe has great lunch choices
This shopping center is the heart of Asheville featuring local grocer Earth Fare, award winning piano lessons, health and beauty shops, supplies for the nature trail expedition, restaurants, and a coveted view of downtown Asheville.
Just stopped by UPS, good people fast and friendly. Run in and run out.
Cool stuff. Earth fare grocery.
I use the UPS Store located at Westgate Shopping Center and they always fill my needs.
Earth Fare and Green Sage are the best parts of this place. Stay away from the TCBY area, as some sketchy deals seem to always be going on in the parking lot.
Small diversity of stores here. Nice to grab a bite to eat, get some groceries or check out Tuesday Morning's newest items.
This shopping center houses a good selection of retailers and restaurants. There are a few areas in the lot which can be improved with better lighting.
UPS store very busy but helpful.
Great stores
O my goodness to many goodys u gotta go see this place. I love love it. Check it out.
Good !
This is an ... interesting mix of budget businesses mixed with more upscale places.
This place can be challenging to get to if you have never been. Plus not really a lot here unless you are looking to spend your paycheck at Earth Fare.
Some new stores some old. A little hard to access.
Clean and lots of good stuff in a one stop shop...
I go to earth fare love this place. It's awesome. You can find health foods and supplements.
Nice place, we go here almost every week. The area has nice shops all around.
Run down. Very dated with potholes. Hard to get in and out of.
Waiting for my ride after work went into the yolies frozen yogurt and got a soda the lady was very nice
Had to get meds while I was out of town. They were fast & easy. I love CVS!
Go to Earth Fare . Good store for some gluten free products
Good parking, Earth Fare grocery, bakery and butcher is first rate. Nominal other shopping.
Very clean strip mall, a myriad of stores offering a wide selection of dining and shopping experiences.
After eating at green sage cafe next door, needed celery at Earth fare. Easy in and out!
Hello Earthfare and the yummiest cafe Green Sage Cafe......cute outdoor and clothes outpost and local artist and musicians singing and selling their goods outside in front of Earthfare!!!
I really like this small shopping center I just wish they had more stores. Maybe they will soon hint hint
Great place to shop great knife collection also good prices and friendly service
Many shops and Earth Fare is my fave. Dont forget the Green Sage Reggae Bowl. Tuesday Morning also!
Has a good variety of shops, including a CVS, Plato's Closet, Earth Fare, Yobie's Frozen Yogurt, and more
Looks like a good place. I just circled the parking lot as I was curious what stores were here.
Not much exciting here except for Earthfare. Difficult to get in and out of this shopping center until you've gone here a few times. Going back downtown is tricky!
The best stores in Asheville all in one place, earth fare, frugal backpacker, oriental pavilion, green sage, etc.
Couple of Nice Shops! Tuesday Mornings is a favorite of mine! And Earth Fare is Great!
Is a shopping center, what do you want me to say...
All of my wife's favorite shops...
This shopping center has alittle bit of everything your looking for.
Great place to watch fireworks on July 4th and New Years eve. Nice stores and shops.
Pretty safe now that they got security
They have a few good shops like Tuesday Morning, Earth Fare, and Frugal Backpacker.
Very well lit lot, good space marking, obvious directions and traffic control signs
The only place I'll get my baby formula and love the 2.00 cookies lol
Pretty cool place with a variety of shopping options. Busy parking lot with alot of pan handlers.
Love this place.if you need it that got it.so king and polite and organized.
It's really nice cause it's healthy but some things are a little expensive. It's clean and has really nice people.
Earthfare and Eblen are great, CVS is a good addition, Plato's Closet also not bad.
Somebody really needs to do something with this place & maximize it's potential
Love shipping at earthfare! Organic foods and I love their cheese choices and pizza!
Very nice clean little shopping center I would recommend

Tuesday morning is fun to shop in. Jason's has great and healthy food
Wheelchair accessible, clean, parking lot was good but difficult to get into and out of.
Earthfare has a very good selection of organic and unique items. A little pricey.
It's a cluster mess but what isn't. Some shops worth driving for if that's the kind of stuff you need.
I’ll give five stars when Frugal Backpacker comes back.
I love Earthfare. The people are great the food is great. I do not shop anywhere else
Hard to get in and out. Decent stores but is showing its age.
Was great, got two coats and one sweater free, Emblem coat drive.
A very convenient way to get a haircut and shop at Earth Fare and Tuesday Morning.
I'm an earthfare addict so review is completely bias
I love Earth Fare! This is a great shopping location with plenty of parking!
Convenient. Good parking. Earthdare let's groups use their back room for events.
Earth fare is great has as a wide variety of groceries and all natural products
Great place to shop for organic foods...and friendly service
Not been the same for me since Mason's,the Shrimp Boat and the giant slide are gone, lol.Only the natives know what I am talking about.
One of the best places a person can go to shop in Asheville...the stores are fabulous. Earth Fare is an institution.
The stores are nice.. restaurants, work choices, insurance and food.
I only went to Tuesday Morning. They are wonderful.
Nice area to get the things you need from pants to groceries, frozen yogurt to medicine.
This is the best Earthfare location, hands down, that I've ever shopped at. The original that started it all.
Love Cowboys Mexican food !!
Small shopping center in ths back of Country Inn & Suites.
Eblen does giveaways from here and it's perfectly located for serving neighbors in need.
The shopping center is nice, but at night the lighting in the parking lot is really bad. Very dark and shady.
Lots of shops. Can get your hair cut, buy groceries, clothes and get a bite to eat at one convenient location
Funny location but good shops and kept well clean.
The lady at the UPS Store was very friendly and professional. Will go back when I need to ship by UPS again.
Earth Fare is my favorite hippy grocer. They get 5 stars
Earthfare is wonderful. So glad they're open again
Not really a lots of store are there to really go shopping.
Few stores I don't mind going to. The environment is kinda tense, and everyone is rude.
Best Chinese Food around. Will definitely go back, employees very friendly.
Needed a suitcase and Tuesday Morning had a good selection.
I came here to look at what Tuesday Morning has. Great prices on items
Personnel knew exactly where the item I was looking for, was
A variety of diff. stores, health food store, drug store, among other things, nice little, strip mall.
Not the most aestheically pleasing shopping center. But there's food and a CVS and all the other essentials.
Random stores in one place...only go there is you have specific items to purchase. Not good for a day of shopping
I visit the cigarette Depot they're always friendly
Has Excellent Health and Natural Food Store. Has different restaurant choices.
Parking is rough. Entrances are limited and it's mostly one-ways. Not traveler friendly.
Everyone was friendly and I love getting their coupons.
A bit tucked away, but never had any issues and shopped there since 2006.
I can't find a better place to shop.everyone is so helpful .
nothing to buy, but pretty cool to walk around and see the mountains up above

Useful shopping center; pretty much can get everything you need.
Large variety of needed items.
Love all the stores here
Haven't been here in a long time since I moved. It seemed to have deteriorated - grubby, tattered, crowded.
Alot of good little shops... A complete 180 from that dump they call Innsbruck
Earth Fare is a good place for a light lunch or breakfast.
Earth Fare is a great natural health food store!
Good mix of retail, food, and grocery. Kind of wonky to get into though.
Got essential herbal medicine
Nice shopping center but priced for tourists.
The stores are eclectic and customer service is important to them.
Like the EarthFare
Great place to shop!
I live here, and I find getting in and out of this shopping center COMPLICATED AND CONFUSING! Don't assume you go out the way you came in...

Great shops, but sometimes there are a lot of peddlers meddling about in the parking lot.
Access is difficult, but the Earthfare narket makes it worth the trouble.
