Family owned small pizza shop- Great pizza but the conversation while waiting for the pizza was even more amazing. You can also see them make the pizza right in front of your eyes. The crust had good flavor and nice texture (they make the crust the way you like it), flavorful marinara sauce and low prices. They also have pasta and sandwiches.

This pizzeria is Golden. Such a Nostalgic vibe and the owner will literally make your whole day, he’s so charismatic and he feels like a legit angel in your presence. He came and served my food to me too. This place is just so great. Hard to find places like this anymore. This will be my new lunch break spot. And the food is great.

Lou is simlply the best. real old school '70s style pizza like I remember and love. crafted by a master who is also one of the nicest humans. Louie us also a real rock music fan. always goid tunes playing and Lou will share great trivia. a real neighborhood gem that i travel in from Manhattan to enjoy. Love ya Luugi!!

There’s something really special about this place. From the pizza to the charming ambiance to the owner. I actually started crying while I was eating my pizza and sipping my espresso. I guess the two words you could call it are love and family. I wanted to just hangout here all day and soak it all in. There’s a richness and fondness that you can’t find in many places. I felt like the owner was my dad, grandpa, brother, friend. He not only served me incredible pizza—he served me love.

I miss this place (no longer living nearby to grab a pie on a whim). Best pizza in Yonkers and I have tried nearly every single one there. I don't know how it's not more well known. Raceway Pizza is one of the most friendliest place with excellent food along with Luigi who's been the owner of the Ristorante for over 51years.I travel from The Bronx periodically just to meet Luigi and enjoy all his inexpensive foods.Once you come to Raceway Pizza you will definitely return and even bring more people to enjoy the experience.Luigi even entertains customers by playing all types of "Old School" music and his great sense of humor.

Best pizza in Westchester and in Yonkers. When you go there you are treated like family and always have a laugh or 2. It takes you back to when you were a kid and had a REAL slice. The food is also very good and reminds you of the Sunday dinner you had with the family. It’s also made by a real Italian NOT someone trying to pass themselves off as Italian. Worth the trip and the money.

Part of our crew, Crazy Mike, Coach Franco and I went after we saw Portnoy's review. We were pleasantly surprised about the authenticity of this neighborhood, family owned pizza place. It was the real deal and filled with all the nostalgia you could imagine of a slice joint. Luigi and family make you feel like family as they engaged in wonderful conversation about times come and gone, the business and of their story. They made you feel like family and you felt as if you were their only customer. Three generations have lived, worked and loved in this place and you can tell by how good the product is. Raceway is some of the best pizza out there. It is one of the last of its kind and this could never be replicated. They are more authentic than some of the award winners out there. In my opinion and with respect, Mr. Portnoy scored them too low. The slice is a little crispy so it holds its beautifully applied mozzarella and properly allocated sauce. The pepperonis are of good quality and you always want more after the last bite. You also leave knowing you will be back and with the thought that you will be seeing old friends when you walk in. Wow! The good pizza places In our neighborhood were closed due to COVID-19 so we ventured to Yonkers and decided to call in an order. My wife called in an order and was met with a movie like hello, banter, and welcome. It was fun because we were in the car listening on the speaker. We proceeded to place an order and when we told him that 1 pizza had to be half cheese half sauce only(I know annoying with kids), he was surprised but made it fun whereby we were like this is so much fun that we could not wait to check out the place. I walked in and saw Luigi take orders on the phone and it was the same consistency as with our call. The pictures on the wall were even more awesome when I realized that Luigi had been there for 40+ years. Just a magical experience. Then when he was ready to put the pizzas in the boxes I realized that he actually put a brad partition so that cheese did spill to the other side. I was just in awe to see someone for the first time do it and that he did it never knowing us. As they say, people like Luigi don’t grow on trees and they don’t make them like this anymore. Pizza by the way was incredible and kids were extremely excited. Keep it up, and thank you so much for making our drive and day memorable.

Just the smell from the box alone was a smell I have not whiffed since I was younger - the smell of an actual good pizza. Of course upon opening the box and taking the first bite, I felt transported to better days of when I was able to find good pizza. Honestly, one bite and the taste difference alone from this slice to most slices these days was telling. This pizza is GREAT.

We were greeted warmly by your host/owner and we immediately went to go sit in the larger dining room area. We sat next to the front window which was decorated so nicely for x-mas. The kids had pizza and they devoured their food! I had a chicken roll w/ marinaaar sauce, it was good!

Best pizza by far in the area. Sicilian is amazing and so are the specials. Porkchops with vinegar peppers is my favorite. Louis, the owner and his Ma are very friendly and so nice. This is a gem. Raceway Pizza is my all time favorite.

I have been visiting Raceway Pizzeria for the last 20 years. The service, the restaurant, and the food are the best in Yonkers, NY. I have a very hard time finding anyone coming close to the service and friendship that Louie and his family provide. Make sure you visit their You Tube channel !!!

The owner had my friend and I hysterically laughing while we waited on our slice. He called a “snice, cause the slice is always nice”. The best and most well balanced slice I’ve had in AGES. Nostalgic and genuine atmosphere served with a “snice”, you can’t ask for more!

Where shall i start, from the day i walked in the pizzaria and met louie. WWWOOOOWWWW! Wat a hell of a cool dude. Ive known louie since i was 14. Im 47 now. And man i can say hes seen me come and go knows my family and even my in-laws. A honest loveable real sincere man that has this jazz hippie kind of swag about him. His family is a real beautiful group of hard working loving people. This place is like family to many many many of us here in yonkers extending out to queens. Come on in next time your around the corner at the empire casino. Come get a slice and enjoy the music its awesome and the atmosphere is warm and homie.
