Very good Pizza. The fig Pizza delicious. Also for starters the Egg Plant chips drizzled in honey....Had the octopus last night.. Cooked perfect, generous portion. You really can't have a bad meal. Only negative not many beers on tap [only 2 last night] but large selection of bottled beer. Also as of now no reservations, first come first serve.

I had the opportunity to eat here twice in the same evening and was very impressed with each seating. I started off with their pizza, regular grandma and the fig prosciutto and was blown away. NOT BLAND! Exceptional crust, perfect mixture of cheese to sauce. The crust was almost as good as the slice. You must try the fig slice, the sweet and salty mixed with a crunch are heaven in your mouth. Next was the frittes with a sunnyside egg and bacon sprinkles. Wow! The egg was cooked spot on and the fries were scrumptious in a medium size sercing. Impressive draft and bottle selection with KCBC IPA, Bronx No Resolutions, Allagash white & a house pilsner. Salute to the beer manager with varied styles and current (KCBC was a NE IPA). My wife had a Babe rose from a can, then moved on to the Negroni and Old Fashioned from their own aging barrels at the end of the bar. Large red and white wine selection too. Small quaint olace that goes left to right in two rooms rather than deep into the building. Dozen or so 2 tops along the windows facing the street and 7 or so spots at the bar. Unisex bathroom with fresh towels instead of paper towel machine (reducing carbon footprint one hand wash at a time) After picking up my daughter around the corner, I returned shortly thereafter to have dinner. Truffle carbonara with sautéed mushrooms on rotini pasta made my eyes roll back and loud pleasure groan. My wife had spaghetti and their famous meatballs. My wife is a very picky eater and rarely finishing her meal, except today. The marina with fresh basel was NOT BLAND AT ALL. In fact, this was the first time she did not use any salt or extra parmesean because the food was cooked perfectly. For dessert, I recommend the zeppoles with espresso marscepone to blast you off into food nirvana. Yes, the dessert was that good. Kristen the bartender was wonderful chatting us up, keeping my daughter involved along with detailing the evolution of the restaurant. A true master of her craft making Old Fashions and processing endless on line take out orders. The neighborhood loves the place and the food. Will go back for a date night and friends soon.

We were happy to finally eat here in person. Our takeout orders held up well but we knew it would be much better when fresh. The Negroni was spot on, Niko’s playlist was fire and those eggplant chips are perfection. We sampled some grandma slices- umami special slice was my favorite. The speck in the penne vodka was so yummy and the charred broccoli was also very good. Cute spot, small but very welcoming. Will be back!

This is a very nice pizza spot with a good beer and wine selection. The pizza is falls into the top 5 best specialty pizza I've ever had. The staff is very friendly. They also offer 3 diferen types of whiskey flights( USA, Scottish, and Japanese) this is a great place for and intimate date night.

Beware! The “grandma” pizza is thick, and more of a Sicilian-style grandma style. Still delicious, still rectangular, and crispy outside with fluffy dough, but very thick. If you’re looking for thin pizza, go for their usual Neopolitan style pies, with the creative topping options. All of the options are amazing and unique — just be prepared that grandma is maybe on the thicker side at this place.

We had brunch here and everything was delicious! The breakfast pizza was out of this world, as was the naked dough with ricotta and the babka french toast. We tried the arugula salad and a cheese pizza as well, and decided you really can't go wrong with anything you have at Polpettina! And they have a great mixologist at the bar that makes a mean smoked grapefruit cocktail too! Try it, you'll be glad you did!

I've been to Polpettina twice and they didn't disappoint both times. The food was a solid hit, especially the truffle fusilloni and the broccoli rabe and pesto pasta. Don't pass up on the eggplant chips for appetizers. Speaking of appetizers, if you want to know how fried calamari should really taste like, this place is the real deal. It was a chewy and crispy delight. The pizzas are creative and delicious with a thin but sturdy and crunchy crust. The toppings were delightful and the cocktails are real palate pleasers. Even the small, crowded space with dark woodwork works in its favor. It makes for a bustling atmosphere, but still neighborhood-like joint. Service can stall here and there, but in this age of COVID, you have to be a little forgiving. Go here with friends, family, first date.

This is easily one of the best places in the area. The food is always amazing, staff is friendly and kind, and don't forget to ask about the specials! Eggplant chips are a can't miss. To be honest, I dream about them sometimes... As far as the "new normal" all staff followed protocols perfectly and I felt very safe dining there.

The food has always been amazing! I’ve been ordering online via uber eats for a few months now but because of Covid never got the chance to visit. I finally Got the chance to stop in for a pickup order and the hospitality is amazing!!! I Waited for all of 20 minutes and was greeted by an awesome hostess, an even more amazing bartender, and even friendlier waitresses! I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the food to the staff, honestly idk which is better. I never Write reviews but I HAD to... 10 out of 10!! Definitely will be dining IN next time!

Was finishing up a century ride and the last 20 miles all I had in mind was "Stop by polpettina for a grandma slice and meatball". When I got there the kitchen was closed 🥺 but they were very accommodating when I told them how much I biked up until that point and let me order what I wanted. This place is just simply the best. I have not had one bad menu item at this place everything always exceeds my expectation. But what is even better than the food are the people that work there. Whoever owns this place should know they have the best employees ever! I have never had a bad server they are all amazing people. Super friendly and engaging. It seems like it’s a family style culture there which makes it so much more enjoyable for the guest. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Great place for nice takeout dinner. Kaity on the phones gave a perfect estimate of when the food would be ready, and great customer service. Highly recommend trying their trip of unique meatballs or unique specialty pizzas. (Esp the one with figs)

I read many of the reviews here and we didn't experience any of the employee-masking issues -- everyone was really covered up and careful, so maybe they recently tightened up the safety standards. Anyway, ate here for the first time last night. Food was good, the rising nan and fresh ricotta was super delicious. This is a cool little spot -- totally expected in Brooklyn or East/West Village -- not so much though in suburban Eastchester which made it all the more fun a discovery. Piper was awesome and really took care of our table (thank you Piper again for finding us a spot inside :)). Will totally come back again to try the pizzas.

Amazing little restaurant featuring some very creative dishes. Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and more, plus a nice selection of beers on tap. The specials change daily and are always delicious and creative. Try the meatball sampler, three different types (chicken is my favorite) that are all delicious. The place is small and often busy and parking is tough, but worth the hassle if you are a foodie.

First, the eggplant chips, the affogato and the service were excellent but the "Milanese" sandwich was not accurately described and as a result the chicken taste was completely obliterated by vinegar which was not listed as an ingredient. The roasted pepper strips must have been in vinegar but it did not say that and it did not taste good. Also, the mozzarella was a peculiar spongy texture, very rubbery, like cheap commercial cheese. This sandwich does not reflect well on this restaurant.

I used to really love the truffle carbonara pasta, but the last two times I have ordered the pancetta is not cooked it’s pink and almost raw. The last time it happened I walked back to the restaurant to return it. The pizza we ordered was good and the truffle fries but this is the last time I’m ordering the pasta. Still love the ambience of the place, the staff is warm and friendly and I love that I can walk from house to there.

Amazing menu and fantastic pizza. Some of the items and specials on the menu seem like unusual combinations, but they are all out of this world. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and they have a nice beer and cocktail menu as well.

Really enjoyed the few times I've been here. Love the thin crust Neapolitan pizza and some of the pasta dishes are VERY good. (Try the bolognese!). Love the attention to use some local ingredients, especially some local brews from Captain Lawrence! It was a bit noisy at times which wasn't a huge annoyance, but it was noticeable. Overall it was a good place that I would definitely go back to again and again.

This place is just starting out and I must say that my food experience was great! My family and I look for the best pizza in the area and Polpettina made a great pie. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The only issue was that we had to wait for a while to be seated (about 1 hour on a Friday night). They are trying to expand; I hope that works out for them!

Beautiful small restaurant in Eastchester with amazing food and excellent pizza. Meatballs were to die for and the calamari even though you would think it's just calamari was amazing. Will definitely go back for more pizza and drinks. The peach sangria was very good and the staff was very professional and courteous

Was just told about this little hideout. Must have the meat-balls. Every kind is Great. Nice wine selection. Busy on the weekends. Had to wait twenty to get a seat which I do not enjoy. Found it worth the wait thogh by far. Pasta was cooked perfect and the gravy was a nice balance of flavors that worked well together. Will be heading here again soon.

Delightful little restaurant in Eastchester. When you go make sure and try the arugula salad, or the meatballs, or the short ribs, or the pizza. If you love fries, try the truffleparm ....... or the spicy flavor. The place is quite small and normally very busy. Parking sucks, and you’ll have to wait for a table.....but it’s well worth it. The food really is delightful, and I always come out of the place busting at the seams. Can’t wait to be able to go out to dinner again.

Went to this place this evening. I called at around 9:15 to see if they were still seating people they stated yes. I got there at 9:20. The food was excellent but it was completely rushed and you could tell that the staff wanted to go home. Dinner and appetizer came out at the same time, they asked us mid meal if we wanted to put in desert because the kitchen was about ti close. Would of gave it 5 stars, it was partially our fault for coming in late, the staff did not have to rush us though. Will try it again during normal business hours. I have love Polpettina for years! The fig pizza is unique and delicious, their Brussels sprouts are the perfect way to start the evening, and their fries are hard to resist. I recently started eating gluten free, tried their gf pasta and it is also a winner! I loved it:-)

One of few decent pizza places in the area (a distant second would be Burrata). A little pricey, and usually has a wait to get a table. The service is ok, not great, but the pizza makes up for it: fresh ingredients and excellent thin-crust pizza. Stick with the simple pizzas - some of the signature pizzas (goat cheese and figs) are way too oily and rich, or so my cardiologist tells me...

The best thing about Polpettina is the fried eggplant with honey. But, everything else I've ever eaten there is delicious as well. Cocktails also get high marks here. Parking for the Eastchester location is on the street or at the municipal lot on Post Rd. Staff here is delightful.

Sunday brunch - a great choice. Polpettina is such a neighborhood gem that offer delicious food and warm ambient for weekend family get together. I like their Avocado toast, with two Half-cooked eggs and the pasta my daughter ordered also tasted very nice. They are also known for their pizzas. They also offer signature Polpettino Pilsner brewed by Captain Lawrence. The draft beer is certainly good companion for their pizzas.

This Eastchester spot has a cute and cozy rustic feel a bit small so peak dining might be hard to walk in and get a table right away. Brunch was delicious. Burrata oh my!! Eggs Benny yum! Eggplant chips my fave! Natural sodas were refreshing. Equally important, service was attentive and accommodating to requests. I gave it a 4 star because the bacon was a bit off maybe gamey which threw my taste buds for a loop. Overall, I would recommend and will be back.

I'm Italian and have been cooking and also eating pasta all of my life.. I really don't think I've ever had a bad plate of pasta in my life....well, when I was in the military the cooks did try their best, but I still ate it anyway!.. Yes, I certainly recommend Polpettina to anyone!.. the only problem I could say I have is that a plate of pasta there costs about $14.00!.. But, most italian restaurants are charging about the same amount now days! So, just GO, and you just might love it as I did!..

On Wednesday nights it's half off bottles of wine so in that case it's a great bargain. I ended up ordering the black truffle pizza and bottle of Sauvignon blanc . The wine was much better than expected considering the price however, the pizza was just ok. Not enough truffle and it was way too salty. Crisp level was good but it was bit burnt. Customer service was ok but I felt like they were in a hurry to get rid of us. Overall I would give this place 3 stars since it was just average.

Second trip almost 4 years later and the pies are still very cool. Creative flavor combinations while not trying to do too much. We have the Brussels sprout pie and the leaves were crispy and flavorful. I wish it had a touch more salt for my taste.

Love this place! Had a great time. Food was great! And yes you must have the eggplant chips with the sea salt and honey! Sooo good. Also a fan of the zeppolis with the espresso mascapone. Overall it was great night the ambiance was fun and light cozy and warm. Keep up the good work!
