I've been coming here for over 20 years. I travel from the bronx just to eat there chicken at Mount Olympos. When I went there I was sad that this item was removed from the menu. I asked and the waitress had the chicken a la mount Olympos made special order. The food here is great. I recommend this place.heres a photo of the chicken a la mount Olympos over rice. Yum!.

Today, whoever made the Belgium waffle was "on point!" The crispy exterior complemented the perfect soft interior 👌 Eggs and crispy bacon paired well with the yummy goodness.

Mount Olympos remains a consistently classic delicious diner. Service is friendly, good comes out fast and is delicious. The menu specials change and offer a number of options. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars is because of the price . I know the pandemic resulted in most restaurants increasing their prices significantly but most menu items were $15. I had an egg and cheese on a roll and it was incredible. Kids ordered from the kids menu and were happy and gobbled up their plates. We added ice cream for $1.

Be prepared to select from probably the largest food menu you've ever seen. I've always wondered how diners can have so many dish options and do them all well. Some of us ordered breakfast items while others ordered lunch. The food was good, not knock your socks off, but good. Service was really friendly and nice. The reason for the four stars is that we ordered a carrot cake to go, and when we got home to eat it the cake part was extremely dry and didn't taste good at all. We called the restaurant to let them know the cake they served us was probably old, and that they may not want to serve it to anyone else. The manager offered for us to have a new slice of any cake we'd like the next time we came in. We came back a few days later because we were in the area and were provided with a replacement piece of carrot cake from a brand new, unsliced cake. The man behind the counter was surprised that anyone didn't like their carrot cake, but we told him it might have just been older. The new piece we got had the same dry, crumbly consistency, but we never called them back to tell them. If I go back for dessert I'll get something else as there were so many other yummy looking options.

Great place. Lots of selection. We had breakfast that day as a family. Everything came out quickly and as ordered. They also have various seating areas... Booths in the general area as well as counter seating. They also have two rooms than make make it feel more like a restaurant with square and round tables.

I love visiting Diners and this one is great. I love the name of this diner. I got to say that everything was quickly. Me and my family were sat quickly and the service was great. Our waiter was great and came around making sure we were okay when ever he passed by our table. The food was pretty good and inexpensive. We all enjoyed ourselves and filled our belly's. If you around yonkers and want to stop by this diner go right ahead.

All in all, this is a great diner. The selection of food is great. There are a lot of tables and plenty of free parking. The prices have gone up, but what hasn't. The service was okay. The waiter did disappear for a while, which wasn't good. But overall, the experience here is good

Been here several times for many years. Usually for breakfast but dinner as well. It has a good parking lot and is wheelchair accessible. The staff is friendly. There is a diner like room with booths and a more elaborate seating area with just tables. The bathroom is acceptable. It gets crowded on the weekends. I shoot for the eggs, omelettes and French toast on Challah bread. The pancakes and waffles are good too. They have turkey burgers and items for people with diets and allergies. Avoid the fruit. It’s kept in a large bowl behind the counter and does not seem fresh. I love this diner and I bring my family all the time.

Mount olympos diner has always serve good food I would go there with friends and family and we have never had bad service except one time when my husband went I went and my friends and the waitress kept messing up she was acting kind of funny so we thought she was drunk or stoned so we mentioned it to the manager not that we were looking to be compensated for our food but just to make him... He didn't seem to care which was fine we just left. This was over 15 years ago.

Very nice diner, we had such a good time. The bathrooms were clean the service was awesome and the food was amazing. I'm looking forward to going again. The portions were large and some of us were able to share with each other. I had blueberry pancakes. They were made with real fresh blueberries. Oh I'm still thinking about it. What a lovely experience. Will definitely return.

They serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Lots of window seatings with ample parking space . It's wheel chair friendly and in the front they have Thier bakery display. I believe they also serve drinks. In the back they have rest rooms with only two stalls in the women's rest room area. Place was bright and clean and the servers friendly.

This place started out years ago in the Pelham Parkway area of the Bronx as the Six Brothers restaurant, a better-than-average popular coffee shop. The owners opened this diner, originally called the Seven Stars, and eventually closed the Bronx location. I came here for years, until I moved far away. I always loved the soups and coffee here plus the simple yet superb open face blueberry cake, served in the warmer months, placed on the counter on a long covered serving tray. I miss this place. I hope it stays around forever.

This is a Greek diner. We dined here. However we are not Greek. They welcomed us nonetheless. There was an array of mothers, of all varieties. Perhaps this is because it was mother's day. However, I have not been here on nonmothers day, so I am not sure that is the case. We got the sampler breakfast and the eggs Florentine. The food, while not exceptional, sated our desires quite adequately.

Well, the waitress got my order wrong. I wanted egg whites and she brought over a regular omelette. Then it took quite a while for our coffee and extra sauce. We had to grab another waiter to help us. She took so long bringing the check, we got up and went to the register without it. Then....my son wanted a pastry to take home. He showed the waitress which one. We just got home and it's the wrong one! Not the best tonight.

Place looks nice classic dinner , But small portions I was disappointed usually on dinners they give you nice portions ( at least the ones I used to go) But not this one don't go if you're starving 😉 , also they messed up my order twice anyways nice looking place but Ive been to better ones not far from there.

Mont Olympos is a beautiful diner, on a hill. It has a large parking lot. I gave 4 stars because the food is pricey in my opinion. My party had the chicken salad sandwich, kids sliders, and a panini. The food was okay. It wasn't as good as I hoped for the prices they charge. However, I would go back for a basic meal because I like the diner. Also, the hot chocolate was really good. The diner has a very comfortable, home feel to it. The staff are very, very nice. The diner, especially restrooms, are very clean. I will try a different dinner special next time and hopefully rate higher.

This is a place you cannot miss! I just came from here and I had a decent breakfast. It was once owned by a fantastic family whose children I went to school with. Those were the days when food was terrific and service was spectacular. It is a go to place for many reasons because it's local and it's off major highways. It's open all the time and parking is pretty good. It's been around since the early 1970s. Sometimes it's good other times it's not. The portions are large and the variety of food is appealing. It can get very busy however getting a table is not that difficult. It always be the place that Dino and George's parents owned when we were kids. God-bless them.

Despite the awful rainy weather, had a nice lunch with a friend. Louis, our waiter, was such a pleasure. He was attentive and engaging. I will definitely request him my next visit. Currently they have a $9.99 lunch special that is a good value. It includes coffee/tea, soup and main course. Sandwiches get fries & slaw. Nice variety of choices.

Mont Olympos Diner is a great breakfast spot. As a diner we all know you can have any meal there but my friends and I had breakfast. The waitress knew us as we've been there several times before. She let us know that the shrimp salad was back!!! We actually hadn't been to that Diner in a little while because one of our friends only likes the shrimp salad and she doesn't want to go there if she could not have any!! This day she was away on vacation. I sent a group text to her including the rest of us saying "It's back!!!" Now we can all come here together again. Anyhow, the four of us that were there had breakfast🍽☕. One friend had pancakes 🥞 and eggs 🍳, another had whole wheat pancakes with blueberries and walnuts and bacon 🥓 on the side, our third friend had eggs, home fries and ww toast 🍞 and I had an american cheese omelette w/ fries 🍟and rye toast. The diner was packed that day. Its good to see people are coming out and supporting local businesses. I'd say if you're in Yonkers, on Central Avenue, you should stop by Mount Olympus and grab breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or dessert. Anything you have will be just great!!!🍡🍤🥗🥙🍔🌮🥩🍕🌭🍖🥪🍲🥘

This is a solid neighborhood diner. There are always parking spots and tables because this place is huge. The food is not spectacular (except for the challah bread french toast, which is great) but almost every dish is average or good for a neighborhood diner. Service is friendly. Seats, especially booth seats, are very comfortable.

My wife had attended several private parties at this diner and had always raved about their food. We finally had some time to drive up here for some breakfast. We would often drive by this diner during our errands down Central Park Ave, and recently we decided we needed to stop in for lunch. The food was delicious (we had various sandwiches) and the service was great. It has a huge parking lot, so I would guess it must get busy in the evenings or weekends. Be sure to enter off of Jackson. You'll be glad you tried it.

A nice lovely spot that a first timer like myself got to appreciate even better after walking inside. I enjoyed the interactions with my server who was very kind, helpful, and even hooked me up with an extra glass of juice when he did not have to (no refills for juice) Prices were fair, and service timely. Bathroom was clean too. While parking was convenient enough that despite not having a rain coat or umbrella, (left home without either and started raining like crazy just as I drove into the parking lot). I did not get soaked by the time I walked through the doors.

Solid diner with good food and reasonable prices. They have interesting specials. I love the baked scrod. They provide large size portions with every meal. If you are ordering a dinner special, add the extra $5 or $6 that gives you an appetizer or soup, a drink and a dessert. The baked goods are great. I love their eclairs which are always fresh and large. Plenty of on-site parking and always available seating

Went for a Sunday brunch. Parking was a little tight. Inside, the atmosphere was relaxed and large windows made the place bright. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was good -- pancakes and sausage, sunny side up eggs on corned beef, scrambled eggs with hash browns, and bottomless coffee. We will return.

I've been eating at Mount Olympus Diner for over 20 years and I can say that they have excellent food. And the servers are excellent they will help you with your choices give you suggestions. And when you become a regular they already pretty much know what you want to drink to start off with and sometimes they'll even know what you want to eat before you even say anything I would recommend them to anybody who wants to just grab a small meal or sit there and have a nice meal. And unlike other diners you can sit there for a couple hours and they will not hassle you to get up to pay the check so they can sit other people down they will not kick you out for being there too long I would definitely recommend them highly they are probably the best Diner in Yonkers by far.

We stopped in for breakfast on a beautiful Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. I found the place to be well populated but not crowded - and most importantly well-staffed! They apparently pared-down their breakfast menu to a small little 2 page thing, but were still able to make exactly what we wanted. I ordered the challah bread french toast Deluxe which comes with two eggs and bacon or sausage.

I haven't been here in over ten years but since I was working today and they were one of the few places open on Thanksgiving, I stopped in and ordered a cheeseburger delux. The staff, particularly the waitress were very friendly. The delux was reasonably priced, 8 Oz burger, 2 large onion rings, nice portion of fries, pickle and a large container of cold slaw with a pickle. Nothing to complain about here

Had breakfast. The food came out in a timely fashion. Was cooked the way we asked, and the service was pretty good!

It was ok. My siblings ordered a macaroni and cheese each. They seemed to like it. I ordered a BLT, which came with a soup, soda and fries. Same with my grandfather, except he had a club sandwich. The soup was in a tiny bowl, and when I put crackers inside, it spilled. Then, when our main course came, I noticed that my grandfather had three pieces of bread and a hell of a lot of turkey. My mother and grandmother waited about half an hour for their order, which was a hamburger and omelette. It takes about 15 minutes to cook an omelette, and a little less for a burger, and my grandmother asked for fried onions, spinach, and broccoli in her omelette. The waitress offered to bring one with the stuff she wanted, but my grandmother said no, and she did it anyway. Lastly, my mother ordered a bloody Mary, and it only had vodka and tomato juice. Overall, the food is like any other dinner, the waitress was a little "all over the place", and the cooks can't really cook anything right. It used to be so popular. What happened?

This is a clean neighborhood diner, with lots of parking and nice hillside view of Central Avenue, Yonkers, NY. This dinner has a full menu from vegetarian to steak dinners. The seating is spacious and the atmosphere is friendly and hospitable. The hilltop location makes it iristable to pass by without wanting to dine. This dinner has been at this location for several decades. It's customer base is primarily well known middle aged resident from near by. The repeat customer base is high in this non-rush atmosphere. I will repeat the atmosphere here makes it a winner.

This place used to be amazing. Now it seems no one cares. Had a waitress who acted like we were an inconbience to her and made it obvious she wanted to be anywhere else. You don't really need to go out of your way to go here, but if this place is one of your only options, you shouldn't be wary. This is a 5 star because it delivers exactly what I expected from the restaurant: a New York Greek diner experience. Were the gyro or the veggie burger we ordered taken from a bag of pre-prepared frozen items and deep-fried? Yes. Were the fries steak fries without the pre-fry blanching recommended by Cook's Illustrated, the double-frying of Belgian frites shops, and the spray of starch Burger King and some other places? Also yes. But even though no food was greater than the sum of its parts, it was fast, tasty, and in sufficient quantities. Know what you are in for, and you won't be disappointed.
