The food exceeded our expectations. Everything was very delicious and service was great! Also quite inexpensive for the quality of food you get. It was averaged around $42 per person including sangria.

Old school Portuguese restaurant. Great service, very attentive and priced fairly. Fridays are $25 buffet and its well worth it.

Good Portuguese chicken and amazing fries. Also the portion sizes were huge. Service was good and place was clean. We even had the owner come and say hi and make sure we were doing ok. They also have plenty of seating inside and a bar.

Food is delicious!!! Portion was huge. I ordered chicken with rice and fries, and the chicken was really well cooked; The owner came by himself to check on us, waitress was really nice and rapid responsive. The place is kind of old and need to be taken care of but otherwise everything was great.

This is a great place to eat, I had the grilled snapper, it was very good. We chatted with Jose, the owner, really enjoyed the conversation. It’s a Portuguese place, so a nice difference. He was nice enough to bring me a small plate of buffet food, no charge, nice touch ! The red sangria was the best I’ve ever had. The buffet starts at 7pm on Friday, if that is your thing, it’s a great choice.

This restaurant is terrific. The food is lovely and the vibe is terrific. Bare bones walls and ceiling but everything goes into the hospitality. The owner chef comes by. Complex recipes or simple. Always delicious. Great bar too. This is a trip to Portugal

Well cooked food made with fresh ingredients. They cook their steak exactly how you order it. Lusitania is a quiet intimate restaurant, great for conversation over a delicious meal.

This is not a high end, white linen, fawning wait staff establishment. What it is, is an excellent restaurant for very reasonably priced Portuguese food with particularly large portions. If you smile and say please and thank you to the wait staff you will be more than happy with the service. The pork and clams, the choricu appetizer and flan were all delicios. It's in a grittier part of Yonkers with a municipal parking a half a block down the street. Enjoy!

Have you been looking for a restaurant that has fresh, delicious seafood served in massive portions at a low price? Then Lusitania is the place for you. Although the decor is very bare bones, it won't matter once you bite into any of the seafood options here. My mom ordered the grilled octopus, Dad had the fish and I had the jumbo shrimp. Order anything off the menu and you will be delighted. I know from my parents that they also have a great buffet on the weekends.

My wife and I travel to Portugal for the first time next week. Prior to visiting another country, we like to visit restaurants of that country to help “wet our appetite.” If Lusitania is at all representative of the cuisine of Portugal, we will come back a lot heavier than we are now. The food was exceptional and the service second to none! Highly recommended!

can't. Place has passed the test of time. The best Pina collides and the sea food rice for one will feed 4 people. Love the steamed claims and rock steak are always made right. Dalia wine 20 yr is $80 but the best port wine that I know

It's five star people and food. If you like food and love an experience, go there. Every one of my friends have loved the atmosphere and the food. Joe the owner is always there and his staff will go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing experience.

The surroundings are a little worse for the wear, if you understand that little 20th century-ism. In terms of decor, they're going for a worn down Knights of Columbus thing. Everyone there was absolutely delightful and they really want to see you pleased. However, they could work a little harder at fresh and hot food. Being a true Portuguese eaterie, food is prepped and kept on the side for quick, server driven service. Most of the entrees are cooked to order but most sides and appetizers are sitting in hot plates in front of the stage. They're very good, for the most part, but they certainly lose their sparkle. It's good enough to go back, but I'll be a little more careful ordering.

I’ve been to this restaurant quite a few times and always the same very friendly the food is very fresh and the steak is amazing and very delicious it is cooked on a rock.they specialize in seafood always fresh.on Friday’s they have a buffet style or you can order from the menu.I brought three of my neighbors they can’t stop talking about it we had a fabulous time and they have a live band on Friday and it’s very family oriented everyone talks to each Other. great service especially from the owner he makes sure he talks to everyone.

Has Amazing Traditional Portuguese Food by far as well as more mild American options for those who aren't too adventurous. I'm ethnically and culturally Portuguese so I know what I'm taking about, I grew up eating at this restaurant since childhood, they have amazing entertainment on top of all that. I've been there for christenings, baptisms of Portuguese family members and the catering is simply amazing. The food has stood the test of time by far.

Had the all u can eat buffet. Didn't know what any of the food was but still tried a variety of it. Few things made me gag but I'm all for trying new things. Recommend investing in heat warmers on all the trays so the food remain warm to an extent. Majority of the food was cold. Odd setting with the pic music and dancing but maybe that's how Portuguese folk get down IDK.

While personally not my kind of atmosphere, I could see someone who really digs bars or dimly-lit restaurants enjoying it. The food was solid. Fresh. Some of the most flavorful sausages you'll ever taste. I never would have expected a quality portuguese-american restaurant to be hiding in Lockwood

The Paelha Valencia is a truly authentic and amazing paella. My buddy had the Paelha Mareinha and he enjoyed it as well. It is a very large bowl of rice, meat and seafood, and the "order" for 1" portion is enough for 2 people, easy. I cant even imagine how big the "order for 2" portion was. I mean "order for 1" what? 1 Elephant? Either way, I'm happy I have leftovers. Paired with a Modelo, I was in heaven.

Anyhow, Lusitania (Portuguese) Restaurant is apparently a Yonkers community secret. There's a sign on the front Street which I absolutely missed and only noticed as I looked for one when I was leaving. I was escorted to the side (red) door and I kid you not, I thought some type of mafia ish was about to go down! Hey what's happening I ain't strapped!
