Louie & Johnnie's is a great spot to get good Italian Food. The service and atmosphere is nice. Prices are on par with other Italian restaurants in the area. Had Spaghetti with Sausage and Meatballs. Food tasted fresh. The pasta was cooked just right. If your in the neighborhood or visiting Empire Casino Louie & Johnnie's won't disappoint if your hungry!

Went here for 1st time. I will day from the moment you sat down the service was impeccable. The food was very good. I had a chicken scarpariello. It had great flavor and was spicy but not overbearing. My sons meatball raviolis were excellent. Interior is very nice and warm. Parking can be a little difficult as it's right on corner of Yonkers Ave. The staff was A#1. I don't think I have seen as well a restaurant as far as timing of food coming out waiting to order. I even complemented the owner they were that good.

Had a beautiful lunch with my cousin and family on our trip to NYC. My cousin and I had the linguine in clam sauce, my wife had the penne with meatballs, and my bonus-daughter had the ravioli with meatballs. Everyone loved their meals. Pasta cooked to perfection, meatballs were tender and flavorful, raviolis were cheesy and delicious, and the clam sauce absolutely fantastic. My cousin told me this restaurant had been at this location for several years, and I thought it was a great find. Proof that there are thousands of good restaurants in and all around NY, all you have to do is try one. So glad I had the benefit of trying this one.

We were recently there for a company Leadership dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the food! A plus is that they have a bar with premium options and an adept bartender! A must go!

It's always a delight to eat at Louie & Johnnie's. I've been here a few times for birthdays and the food and service never disappoint! Needless to say, I recommend starting with the fried calamari, and garlic bread topped with melted cheese. *drool* The last time I was here, I had the NY Shell steak, medium rare, topped with mushrooms. Finally, the dessert special was the banana pudding cake. Ask for it! They might have it when you're there.

Such a delight! The food is amazingly delicious. I had never had mussels before this restaurant. I have to say they were so yummy. We had 9 people in our party and everyone left fully satisfied with their meals. From appetizers to dessert everything was something to rave about. The waiters were on top of their serving game. They checked on us frequently to make sure we had drinks and everything was good with us. I highly recommend.

The food is delicious and the staff is wonderful! They do have a small parking lot in the back and no outside cakes but you can order a cake with them if you need one. Bonus! They're practically next to the casino and actually next to a comic store.

We , my extended family have had several family gatherings at this restaurant , we come from different directions and meet and eat and with a reservation only for 6 or more, entitling us to a table or once a separate area for 3 hours. This has allowed us , my family, many of whom are aging and no longer able to entertain a crowd, to continue to see family several times a year and keep up our valued connections in a restaurant with amazing entrees, service , and dependability when we walk in our table is ready . We all love it just had a party of 10 for Easter we are so happy for this find. I think whatever you order will make you happy. It’s up to you to bring the people who will do the same.

I know great Italian food and this is just good. The prices are fair, the pizza and pasta are decent. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here but I wouldn't turn it down if someone wanted to eat here. Staff was very polite and the atmosphere is nice.

Great Italian dishes served here! I have to admit to something I ordered, I had a bacon cheese burger here which is not what you would normally order at an Italian restaurant but I got to say it was by far one of the best burgers I've had in a long time that I've decided to put it on my top 5 best tasting burgers list. The chicken francese is to die for, the chicken parmigiana is delicious as well as the stuffed baked ziti that leaves you wanting more, these are just a few among the many dishes they serve at Louie and Johnnie's. Don't take my word for it stop in and taste for yourself and if you're craving a phenomenal burger don't hesitate to order one.

Update... So I went with a group of people and when I looked at the check I saw plain slice 7 bucks... And grandma 8 bucks, but I wasn't the only person who ordered plain slices and grandma slice, so I'm guessing now the high price I saw was result of combined prices for the numerous slices.... Still maybe I'm spoiled from places like Patsy's Pizzeria, but like I said the gma slice was small, and the regular slice was my style but to me the flavor was underwhelming, I was definitely cooked well, nice and crispy and no flop... I was happy for the reply from the owner correcting me on the prices and would like to return to try other items of the menu... But be called crazy and told I make no sense seems a bit unprofessional, but aye, this is where my friends like to go so I'll still tag along and not make an issue, 3 bucks for mid pizza I can do that. Original review.... $$$ It was very expensive, I pay 7 bucks for a plain slice, the slice was my style, thin, no flop, but incredibly underwhelming! Sauce had no taste! 7 bucks!!!! I had a grandma slice... 8 bucks!!!!! Super small like the size of my hand, a little tastier then the plain

I have tried many different Italian spots for pasta in New York and around westchester, but the spaghetti with garlic and oil here cannot be beaten!!!!! We pay around $20 for a great size portion and it’s amazing. Highly recommended.

Today I had a wonderful lunch with friends at Louie & Johnnie's. If you are not familiar with them, let me tell you a little bit about their ristorante with "regional italian cuisine." Louie & Johnnie's is located on Yonkers Ave right across from Yonkers raceway in Yonkers, NY. ( Yes I just said Yonkers three times in one sentence...lol) It's centrally located, between the Bronx, where I was coming from and a hop away from Westchester where my friends were. Louie & Johnnie's offer indoor dine-in seating with waiter service, a dine-in self serve pizzeria cafe as well as outdoor dining. You can take out and have delivery too. There's parking in the back with a handicap access ramp leading directly into the restaurant. There's also a full bar as well which I almost forgot about because I don't drink but go ahead if that's what you enjoy! 🍷 Okay so now let's focus on the delicious lunch experience from today. We didn't know that Louie & Johnnie's had a fabulous lunch special menu which includes a house salad, choice of entree with a side dish of pasta or potato croquette and a fountain soda. There must have been 25 dishes ( or more ) to choose from. The lunch specials are served Monday thru Saturday 11:30am-3:00pm. They range from $15.95-$21.95 We all chose from the special menu today. Let me say this...the food was spectacular and the service was amazing! The bread was warm and comforting. We all enjoyed a house salad which included lettuce, cabbage, cucumbers, olives, tomatoes with their house dressing which was very flavorful. For our main course choices we had the fillet of sole francese, the eggplant parmigiana and the rigatoni filetto di pomodoro all pictured below. I personally ordered the sole and it was so light and flaky. I tasted the rigatoni and it was outstanding. I didnt taste the eggplant but my friend was raving about it. She said "it was so delicious!" We finished up with espressos cappuccinos, a cannoli and a warm apple tart with vanilla gelato and whipped cream. I put a dollop of the whip cream on top of my cappuccino...mmmmm. I'll tell you this, who needs to go downtown to Little Italy when you enjoy an exquisite lunch at Louie & Johnnie's. I have been here many times before and can't wait to go again. I can not say enough wonderful things about this place. You MUST go there. I KNOW you'll enjoy it as much as I always do!! Enjoy!!

We have been going to Louie and Johnnie’s for a few years now, and the food and service is great. We do both, dine in, which provides a great atmosphere, and takeout, which is fast and easy. Pricing is good for the amount of food that you get. Portions are big, relatively speaking, so make sure you’re hungry. Overall, I would definitely recommend Louie & Johnnie’s Italian Restaurant.

This is one of my happy places. Italian menu with delicious specials. Entres include a large family style salad and a generous portion of warm bread. Wine and drinks will bring a smile. Finish with dessert. My favorite is warm zepoles filled canolli cream.

I am lost for words!!!..the place has a casual yet sophisticated decor, the food is to die for. "Real Deal" Italian food just like my mothers (who came from Italy). I feel at home here. The food was a bit expensive, but the quality of the food and drinks are excellent. Waiting staff are cordial and ready when you are ready to order, or when you want suggestion off the menu. Steak I ordered was exactly what I ordered cooked to perfection. Coconut shrimp as an appetizer amazing, with the marmalade it comes with perfect combination. FYI marmalade is delicious but scorching hot,(not spice) even if you let it sit for a bit.

The food is good. The drinks are strong, so it's very good value. The food was a little more expensive than I was expecting. Everything on the menu is around 25 bucks. If you eat here with a big group, you should get the platters for two. The platters for two are enough for 3 or 4 people and my family eats alot.

Absolutely lovely atmosphere and place to find good Italian cuisine. Had the broiled sword fish that came with lemon and vegetable medley and it was superb. The cook on the salmon was great and the flavour was there a 100%. Ended up coming here on a whim with a date and we both really enjoyed it would totally eat here again!

This is a fairly good Southern Italian restaurant opposite the Yonkers Raceway in Yonkers, New York in Yonkers Avenue. It's quite a busy place. The noise can get a bit of over-powering but you have to deal with that because it's crowded. The service is fairly good. This restaurant does just about everything, including takeout and a nice pizzeria. The bathroom is in excellent shape. Parking is decent. The food borders on excellent if you like Southern Italian food. The desserts are homemade and excellent. The portions are generous. The bread is delicious and the drinks are a good size whether it be a soft drink or cocktail. They have a nice outside patio to enjoy in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Yonkers Avenue and the view of the Raceway isn't so spectacular but it's outside that really counts. No matter how you look at it your good to spend a lot of money. This place is not cheap. Wow... Worth a try..

We went there yesterday for lunch following my Poppi’s funeral service and we all can’t stop talking about the delicious food was and service was even better! The portions were very generous. They accommodated us on short notice and the restaurant was very clean and our server took care of us. It was my first time out in 5 months with my young daughter so I was very nervous about being inside eating but I saw all the attention they gave to keep it clean and our server reassured me even the ketchup bottle was clean 😉 this is honestly my first time ever writing a review but just wanted them to know how much we enjoyed our time there. I went to an arranged Birthday party and the staff did a wonderful job. Very attentive and courteous. I had the sole. It was perfectly cooked. Buttery, with hints of garlic and a very light bread crumb topping. The pasta Fruita de Mari was very good. Their baked clams were excellent. I did not use the valet parking. I found street parking up the block. Overall very nice experience. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent service. Not only were they super sweet over the phone, but they also delivered the food super fast! It was also nice to see them wearing masks and gloves, so they are taking the utmost precautions! I will be ordering again very soon. Nice place for a date, family meal, or even a solo night out for a drink. Food is prepared in an above average manner; very delicious. Service is fantastic. Specials are unique and very tasty. I ate there 2 nights ago, and my family and I had a great dinner. The baked ziti with ricotta was excellent; fresh cheeses and well made sauce made it very enjoyable. Portion was filling and enough to bring home afterwards. The salad was fresh, and tasty. Garlic bread was made with fresh garlic. My family had the Flounder special, and I sampled it....Awesome. My sister also enjoyed her meal but I forgot what she ordered. My mom had the lasagna and she made not a sound: that means it was great LOL. Make sure you enjoy the Sangria. It was very refreshing and delicious. I had 4 glasses 😜 . The calamari is EXCELLENT too. You get what you pay for. About $30 to 50 per person. It's worth it. This is my go to spot when I'm in Westchester County, NY. Staff was great; polite, helpful, and catered to all our needs. They made sure we enjoyed our visit. I will be there again soon to try their pizza; they have another section for to go orders and a cozy bar. UPDATE: They also have pizza to go/stay. I bought a couple of slices and to my delight, the pizza was pretty damn good. Nice selection of drink to go as well. Ciao!

My favorite restaurant by far. Awesome food, service and ambiance. Also, the restaurant environment is inviting,clean and organized. I always enjoy the salads and of course I have Pasta once in a while and it's always been delicious. I traveled from CT to meet friends for dinner here. It was well worth the trip, and even many more trips! First, I love the fact that they had valet parking in the back. Second, the hostess was fast and friendly.

2 minor issues While they have a very large outdoor dining tent setup they do not open it at lunch. The people that I was with are not comfortable eating inside and we were told that the tent does not open until 4 pm. Also they charge a credit card surcharge if you pay by card vs cash

We've been eating here for over 4yrs, including my baby shower, catered birthday parties, come for family dinners and the food has always been amazing. I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here, and when catered people always rave about it.

Love this place. Hands down one of the best pizzerias in Westchester. Food is always fresh & delicious. Parking is good. They have a parking lot in the back of the place. Been a fan from its beginning as a pizzeria, move to a 40 seat more formal dining location, and then nearby relocation to its larger, current space. Food is fabulous and portions are generous. Usually plenty to bring home and enjoy later. Reservations only accepted for 8 or more. Expect a wait during busy times but it's well worth it

Our first visit, we really enjoyed the service and the salad. Delicious. We returned the following week and it was total opposite. I had to place our order, server never approached our table. Once I noticed the reason why, I just brushed it off. The cashier was expecting a tip. I'm guessing servers at this location, which there were 4, they decide on who they like to feel welcomed. Delicious salad by the way.

This restaurant is spacious inside so you don't feel like your on top of each other. The menu has a nice variety of Italian food. We had the seafood platter for two. It was delicious and there was so much food! The broccoli rabe tasted perfect. I can't wait to go back again.

Recently went for a luncheon. Ordered the Land and Sea (House Special for Two) and was not disappointed. The portions were sufficient and the price was affordable for the amount of food you received! The quality, choices and assortment were cooked to order and it was DELICIOUS! The fact that it comes with a salad and a choice of pasta was the icing on the cake! The music was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The server was also very attentive and gracious. Would highly recommend!

My only issue is when we ask to pack the leftovers and we get home the sauce is minimal or none. I'm thinking they dont want the containers to leak? I will ask next visit and report back. I used to go here years ago even when it was at another location and its very different now, including much more expensive. Got the chicken scarpariello on the bone as my main dish and i got pre cooked chicken. Sauce and sausage was still very good, but chicken wasn't. My girl's lasagna wasnt good neither. Calamari and salad was good. Service was very good, but not worth the price for me. I don't drink Budweiser, but $6.5 for a Budweiser on yonkers ave is very expensive.

Go on Sunday nights where they offer Mama's Ragu which takes me back to my childhood when my grandmother would make her Ragu with pasta for the whole family! it was my first time at louie & johnnie's, i have to say, it will not be the last time. breanna d. was our server; she had knowledge of both the food and drinks menu, she offered great recommendations. the other servers were attentive to our table, filling our glasses and removing used utensils. the music was low enough to be heard and enjoyed while we could hold a conversation without yelling. the bathroom was spotless which is always indicative to me of the level of care placed in other areas especially the kitchen. the bartender made a really good old fashioned, our meals [sunday sauce a "sunday only" special [hubby] and veal marsala for me] were excellent, my piping hot apple tart with vanilla gelato was mouthwatering. this is going on the list of close to home joints that offers excellent food, drinks and service. who needs to troop into the city with places like this within an $8 cab ride distance?

Medium lighting and ample space between tables very well suited for privacy. YOU MUST try the Mozzarella In Corozza for starters, thet were sent directly from above and are delicious and satisfying beyond all telling. Fried Calamar you can never go wrong with zesty marinara served warm. Lobster Ravioli in pink sauce paired with their house Chardonnay is the perfect lunch or dinner. Tender and fresh lobster chunks in the sauce as well as the ravioli itself. For dessert you can never go wrong with the chocolate AND cannoli filled house zeppolies or Tiramisu.
